This restaurant has been around more than ten years, and serves consistently good food. It is a bit out of the way in Telford, but well worth the drive. Pho is delicious and you have a large choice of meat. The Bun with the roast pork and the springroll is very good as well. Summer Rolls are always good with shrimp and pork. Service may appear slow to some people, but it is friendly, and helpful. Drinks are traditional as well. They make a wonderful cafe Su Da. Recently added Bahn Mi to the menu. Credit cards only if over 20 dollars.

My first experience here was with a take out order. I got the #1, #35, and #40. The #1 was a Pho with noodles, briskets navel, flank, and tendon. There is no way that I could have eaten this by myself. I really liked that they had the ingredients separate from the broth and I was able to mix it myself. It was bountiful and delicious. The #35 was the grilled pork ball and veggies. The veggies were nice and fresh and were great to wrap the pork balls in and the sauce that accompanied it was perfect. The #40 was the grilled pork chop, shredded pork, an egg cake over broken rice. The pork chop was the only part I didn't love. It just wasn't charred enough for my taste but still not bad. These three dishes could have fed at least four people rather than just myself and my roommate. Thankfully I love leftovers.

This hands down the best Vietnamese food I've ever had. My in-laws live in the area, and I make sure to make my way to Vietnam Cafe every single visit. The summer rolls are just bursting with deliciousness and the the lemongrass chicken (#46) is without equal. The shrimp bun (#25) is also very nice, as is the grilled chicken. The ambience is just okay, and the service can be so so, but the food is just *incredible*. I once had my in-laws bring me 6 orders of #46 when they made a road trip to Boston near my birthday. I was in heaven! I honestly don't understand how this place isn't packed every single night.

The food here is good. The beef in the beef broken rice is a little tougher than I am used to. That being said, the chicken over vermicelli really rules. It easily competes with similar places in Center City. The 'burbs would be a worse place if this restaurant were not around.

Great food - #51 - the best wonton soup in NEPA.

One of our favorites! They never disappoint us with their fabulous food! Broken rice with shrimp or #15 and springs rolls.

Vietnam Cafe is still the best Vietnamese eatery in this corner of the suburbs. There is simply no competition for them in Telford or the surrounding towns. Food comes out fresh, FAST, and delicious. Did I mention they're a BYOB? We shared #27b, the rolls with grilled pork, scrumptious as usual. For my entree, I scarfed down a bowl of bun thit heo xao xa ($6.95; #24 on the menu), stir-fried pork with lemon grass on rice noodles. Pay them a visit![1] (Don't have a car? I'll take you there myself.) [1] Starting May 1, 2009, Vietnam Cafe's new Friday and Saturday hours are 10 am - 10 pm. Good for me!

As a Californian, I am always looking for good Vietnamese food places to eat no matter where I am. Enter Vietnam Cafe in Telford. Holy moly, am I amazed that a place this authentic and proudly family-owned exists around here!! You know how I know it's authentic? They have sriracha and fish sauce for sale, make beef bun bo hue (instead of just pho), and can whip up avocado shakes. Yup, you read that right. If you haven't tried it- it's blended goodness of condensed milk and fresh avocado that just melts in your mouth. The owner is so sweet, converses with me in Vietnamese, and is always suggesting new dishes to try. The other bonus? FRESH HERBS. They have a bomb garden in the back where they grow fresh mint, cilantro, and the like - all of which is essential to enjoying good Vietnamese food. Everything is good on their menu but I keep coming back for the bun bo hue and combination rice dishes. On the to do list: try their banh mi- or as you guys call it around here, vietnamese hoagies!

Wow. On a whim we stopped in while we were in the area. The place was quiet, the employees attentive and helpful. The food was fresh, delicious and expertly prepared. I doubt you could go wrong with anything on this menu. We will happily go back! Also, baby friendly, a super plus.

I love this place as much as I love my mother. Food is great. Have an open mind and try something different.

  • Donchichi T.

Food quality is ok. I had the bun Bo hue and it tasted no where near the original. Ok for Non Vietnamese clientele. The service was ok but nothing exceptional. This place works perfect as no other Vietnamese restaurants nearby.

I drive almost 2 hours to eat at this place! I've tried Vietnamese restaurants all over the place and nothing compares. Service is a little iffy but the food is too good to complain.

I've dined here a few times because there isn't much available in the area for vietnamese foods. Let just say i am not a chef but i make better foods than them. Last time i had Pho there and the broth was so cloud and GRAY looking, it looks like other soup dish; bun mam. Other people posted photos of their Pho on here so take a look.

Very solid Vietnamese food. The bun bo hue was good. Not the best I've ever had, but still a delicious dinner option. The grilled pork and shrimp summer rolls were fresh and lived up to the Yelp hype. This is an excellent find given its location in the suburbs. Service was good enough. I'm sure I'll be back next time I visit the area.

Visited with my family, this was our first time eating Vietnamese food. Service was personable, friendly, helpful, and quick. Our server went through the menu for us and recommended his favorites (which we ended up ordering, and each of us were very pleased). I am actually unsure of which two appetizers we got, but I am pretty sure it was 26 (fried egg roll with shrimp pork vegetable) and 27b (goi cuon thit nuong)(summer roll shrimp and grilled pork not fried). Both were good, but overall 26 was a bigger hit with the fam. Then for entrees, we got 10 (special seafood), 16b (grilled chix and veg on rice vermicelli)(chicken very tender), and 21 (spicy pork and beef soup). we also got a mango smoothie, which was a bit different than smoothies we're accustomed to--it was very delicate and had a mellow sweetness to it. When we go again, if it weren't for experimentation, I think it's safe to say we'd all be very happy ordering the same dishes again. Oh, and the restaurant setting was welcoming and very clean.

  • Asia J.

Food is good...the service is terrible, u gotta beg them to bring you water....I was there and no other customers were in, I think the owner poked her head out and yelled" u wanna order?" She didn't even have the decency to walk up to the table to take the orders, I had Pho and that was okay doesn't compare to Pho and More in Lansdale for sure! While there for about 30 mins not once did anyone fill our water glasses! Yes this place is cheap, but that doesn't mean their service has to be too!

  • Steve B.

Stopped here on my way to a concert. Wow! So glad I did. Very friendly and efficient service. This will be one of my favorite restaurants when coming out this way. The squid was fantastic and not greasy. The vegetarIan spring rolls were yummy. Highly Recommended!

Amazing vietnamese food. Always fresh, super affordable pricing, and quick. Must tries: any of the pho, banh mi, and pork with broken rice. I have eaten here many times, and take out is just as great as eating in. Happy this place exists so close to home!

drove 2 hours from ny just to come here brooth is super legit here and must try egg rolls as well

  • Dela P.

There is a wide variety of Banh Mi to choose from if you want to get something to go. If eating in, I recommend the Pho, which has a broth better than most of what you would find in Philly. The eggrolls tasted a bit too "from the freezer" for me, but were good enough for an appetizer. Had the bbq pork banh mi - was very good, and will be the best you can find unless you want to venture to Northeast Philly.

Best Vietnamese in town (it is the only Vietnamese place in town, actually). But even if it wasn't, it'd still be the best. Their food is so fresh and delishh and they make some banging bean cakes. Also their egg rolls are outrageously good, they may possibly have crack in them. Can never get enough!!

Traveled all the way from NYC to try this place out. Showed up on a Saturday evening with my hungry crew and we were stared at by the other customers there. Guess they're not use to seeing Urban Asian Americans everyday. But let's talk about the food. The eggs rolls were crispy and tasty. Tried the Banh Xeo for the first time and I was hooked. Wanted to order another one but we had ordered plenty of appetizers to share. The main dish, the Bun Bo Hue, was the best I've ever had. The broth was spicy and full of flavor. I squeezed two slices of lime into it and it complimented the soup. By the end of the meal we were completely satisfied. The service was great and the price was right. Definitely check out this place for a good meal.

Awesome BBH in Telford area, I feel it's spicier than Cafe Diem but is a good alternative if you dont want to drive to philly. You can add this vietnamese peppercorn spam to the soup and is sooo delicious. We come everytime when visiting family, a must try!

Vietnam Café restaurant is my favorite lunch spot. It is located in a small, nondescript strip mall. Don't come here for the ambience because, though it is clean and well lighted, it is basic in decor. But, do you come here for the food! For dietary reasons I invariably choose their number 9 menu item, special seafood rice noodle soup. It is chock full of delicious seafood items, some which are a bit mysterious but all are very good, accompanied by rice noodles in a hearty, not overly salted broth. I have tried their other offerings which are also excellent but a bit more filling for me than the seafood soup. None of the Vietnamese restaurants I've tried in Center City Philadelphia are any better than here. The service, while not overly friendly, is fast and efficient. And the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food.

As a Vietnamese person, I felt like this place was not very good. During My first time here I tried the egg roll and its ok. I also had a seafood dish; the ingredients used were not fresh nor were they tasty. I recommend that you don't go to this place; there is a better Vietnamese place in lansdale.

  • Tim G.

A Philipino coworker recommended this place to me. I finally tried it and it was amazing. The food is very very fresh and zero grease! I get the pork over broken rice which is awesome. They give you a little salad with most of the menu items. Definitely a lot of food for the money and very fast and friendly service. Will be going back here as long as they are in business.

I don't recall eating Vietnamese before, but our friends had been here a few times before. Who can't love BYOB when your friends are bringing the wine? :-) Had delightful spring rolls and a delicious beef noodle soup that was very filling. All four of us enjoyed our dishes and the prices were very. very reasonable. I'll definitely return.

Very home style viet food and quick service for lunch. Everything taste comforting not great but not bad by any means. Been here 4 or 5 times now. Doesn't seem to use to much msg. It's an average Vietnamese resturant but here in Telford it's a star.

  • Brian P.

Food was good and was delivered fast. Had pho with several varieties of beef, along with summer rolls. Minus 1 star due to $20 minimum requirement for credit cards, which violates MasterCard merchant rules.

    (3)
  • Gabriela C.

I've had Pho in a lot of places and cities, like New York and this is definitely one of the best, if not the best. The spring rolls #26 were delicious and they give you a lot of them. Also, #7 is great, you can smell the flavor and the freshness. Wish I lived closer!

Food is good... No doubt... But RUDE server... That guy with a mustache acting like he's the owner of the place... My kids love their food but doesn't want to go back there because of that RUDE SERVER... He has no manners!!!

This is one of my MOST favorite places to eat- ever! Everything is so fresh and the flavors in everything are so powerful! For the apps we had the fried spring rolls and the fresh spring rolls and we brought a bottle of white wine. I usually hate spring rolls or egg rolls because they are so bland but not these. Wow! So good! And the fresh spring rolls are still amazing! Then I had the Bún ( fried beef on vermicelli ) and my husband had the pork chop/crab cake and shredded pork on broken rice. He said it was great! We didn't get anything else like dessert and brought some leftovers home! The service was a bit slow tonight but they were packed! It was nice to see that. Been a favorite place of mine for about 13 -14 years. Highly recommend it! A couple of tips-don't expect them to bring the check and if they do you need to pay up front. They don't take credit cards for purchases under $20 dollars. AND if you have a peanut allergy please don't risk eating here! There are peanuts in everything! Other than that eat-try new stuff and enjoy!!!

  • Andrew A.

They offer a fantastic Vietnamese Hoagie which my friends and I always get. Unfortunately you need to order more than $20 to use your credit card, but it's good food.

I had the best pho of my life in this restaurant. This is how pho is supposed to taste, and you cannot beat the price or portion size. I am so sad I do not live in the area, and I am sad that all other pho I have consumed in my life will just be a fraction of the perfect flavor I experienced here. Heaven in a bowl.

Let's be clear, Vietnam Cafe in Telford, PA easily rivals any Vietnamese restaurant I've been to in the country. You may ask, if this place is so great, why do you only give it 4 stars? Simple, the menu is more limited than Vietnamese restaurants in the city or elsewhere, but what they do offer, is as good as any of the same dish I've had at any other Vietnamese restaurant. Vietnam Cafe grows most of the herbs and greens the restaurant uses. The garden is located along the back of the restaurant and now that Spring and Summer are here, you can see the garden growing with a vengeance. You can also see it in the food you order. The Pho is outstanding. The broth is delicate but rich, flavorful but not oily, and the mouth feel is as good as any bone broth from a top Japanese ramen house. The shaved beef, and other trimmings are just the right size in just the right amount. The bean sprouts are always fresh, and the herbs and unique greens you get are equally fresh, as they come right out of their garden. The bowl is enormous and is easily 2x the size of Pho served anywhere else. The #11 seafood noodle w/ soup on the side is tremendous as well. I'd recommend it with the egg noodles. Minced pork w/ finely diced asian celery blends well with shrimp, squid, imitation crabmeat, and fish cake to make a very hearty dish. The added soup on the side can be sipped to add even more flavor. The grilled meats with rice or rice noodles are also good. Fresh meats and greens combine with the rice or noodles for great tasting plates. The ubiquitous fish sauce that they provide is made in house, it doesn't have that contrived over sweet flavor that may get from other places. There are a couple things that you absolutely must try when you come here. As said by other reviewers, #26, the fried spring rolls are delicious. Eaten in the traditional way wrapped in lettuce with pickled carrot/radish, and it's amazing. I also recommend the summer rolls. They are also really good and the peanut/plum sauce really makes it good. If you are a fan of coffee, than you are aware that Vietnamese Iced Coffee is tremendous. Vietnam Cafe makes it the way it should be made, with a french press, not squeezed out of some pre made pouch. They put fresh expresso into a press and set it over a glass with condensed milk. Allow the coffee to drip and then mix well. Pour into the ice filled glass and stir, letting the ice melt a bit and diluting the coffee. After about 8 minutes, you will have a spectacular Vietnamese Iced Coffee. The Vietnamese sandwiches are good. They aren't the best i've had, but they are pretty good for a suburban place. Their other appetizers including seafood pancake, and other fare are good as well. So, why 4 stars? Because they don't offer green mango or green papaya salad. if they offered some fresh salads, this place would get 5 stars from me.

Love love love. I want to try everything here but keep ordering my faves because they're so good! We drive 40 min to eat here, and I can't eat at the vietnamese places near our house anymore. Vietnam cafe ruined me for lesser places!

The food here was nothing short of amazing, and the owners are SO nice! My friend and I came here 30 min before closing time on a Tuesday night -- we didn't realize they closed at 9, but the owner gladly sat us down and told us not to rush. We were so hungry when we got here, and thanfully the portions were large. We ordered pork spring rolls as an appetizer, and each of us ordered a different type of seafood noodle soup. My dish had wide rice noodles and my friend's had egg noddles. Everything was excellent, and I was happy that they had a wide array of spicy sauces to choose from as well as some jalapenos, bean sprouts, and mint to mix in to our soups. Also, this place is a BYOB, so don't forget to bring something to drink! The clock struck 9 and we were still finishing up our meals because we had so much food to eat. Again, the owners didn't rush us out -- they told us that they were still cleaning up and not to worry. We ended up leaving around 9:15, stuffed, and very pleased with our meal. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be back!

Best Vietnamese Restaurant in the Northeast !! Everything comes out fresh, hot, and ready for your eating pleasure. The restaurant is clean and the service is blazing fast. The wait staff are not too talkative but hey, the food does the talking. Here is a list of must tries : Apps : Vietnamese Pancake (only on Thursday I believe) Beef wrapped in Leafs Spring rolls Fried spring rolls ---- Drinks: Vietnamese coffee Iced tea (No sugar) Main Entrees : Pho noodles (all quite good) Pork or Beef with broken rice Fried shrimp platter with rice. You can't wrong with these choices. This place is a must try. I had friends from NJ come here to try it. Its that good.

I usually stop here if I'm in the area. Really quick service, good prices. Only phō option is beef, but that one option is delicious. The meat is always really good. I'm pretty sure there is a garden out back where they grow their seasonings fresh.

Delicious! My family loved this place. Everything is so good. We especially loved bun no hue, bun mam, sandwiches, banh xeo, and more and more. Best restaurant!

  • Seb K.

Gave it a try based on positive reviews, but was not too impressed. I ordered the pho with eye of round steak and there was so much grease in the broth when there was little meat. Service was terrible. They never came back for water and I had to walk up to the register to ask for napkins. The younger guy who worked there was very nice however and the bahn mi was sooo good. It was nice to see that they grow their own vegetables and herbs too.

I have been going to Vietnam Cafe for going on 6 or 7 years and i have never had a bad experience. I would say i order Pho or Banh Mi probably 70% of the time and am always happy and want to come back for more. My family including small children really enjoy eating there and the take out too!. My favorites are the #7 Pho Thai, the Banh Mi (honestly every one is good, the cold cuts with the pate is the bomb!), the Cafe Su Da, and the #27 Spring rolls with the grilled pork, but seriously it's all good. The staff is attentive and friendly without being overbearing, i would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to experience great Vietnamese, best of the burbs and possibly the whole of eastern PA.

I love this family own and run Vietnamese restaurant. It is by definition a mom and pop shop. I can say this with confidence because it is run by my very own family. Open for about 12 years now. They have the best Vietnamese food that I have tasted so far. I have tried many Viet places; San Fran, San Jose, Philadelphia, New York, Baltimore, Houston, and Vietnam. But none of them compare to Vietnam Cafe Restaurant. The ingredients and the food are always made to order. They come out fast and hot. For apps: The spring rolls are a must try. They have the best peanut sauce that goes with it. Grilled beef wrapped in grape leave are another that is a must. Main course: The Bun Bo Hue is my favorite soup. It has both pork and beef. Another dish that is a must try is any of their rice dishes. Grilled Pork chopped or Beef steak that had been marinated for over 24 hours; served on broken rice. Delicious! The milk shake are always good here. Try the avocado or jack fruit. They now have added the Banh Mi, Vietnamese hoagies. The grilled chicken hoagies are also delicious.

  • Phi N.

Do not confuse this with the Vietnam Cafe in West Philly near Baltimore Ave! Southern Vietnamese down home cooking. Best DISH: The Bun Bo Hue is soooooooo good here and the best in the area. I eat whereever if it's convenient and have tried many Vietnamese places serving Bun Bo Hue from California to the East Coast, if you like spicy hue soup this is the best around. For about 7-8 bucks you can fill up on an amazing Vietnamese dinner. Do not come here looking for five star service, sometimes family owned restaurants rely on which family member is available to work. BYOB-bring a twisty bottle and make sure it's cold before you get there. They are always packed on the weekends, I think for us, the best time to go is usually between 2pm-5pm, late lunch-for some reason. Spring rolls with grilled pork and shrimp with peanut sauce is fabulous. the rolls are always full with noodles and veggies. Fried egg rolls are crispy ALWAYS. Lemongrass pork and chicken is the best. They just started making vietnamese HOAGIES! THAT's right, they have Viet hoagies which are the BOMB! oh soooo good, every single one of them. They re-toast so well too so I like to take a few to go and eat it for brekkie. Anyhow, this is one of those places you CAN"T go wrong, everything on the menu is authentic and delish!!!

Food excellent, Service horrible. I don't know why restaurant owners are so oblivious to good service.. although the food is good I won't go back just on pricinciple the service was that bad.

  • Blake M.

The food here is very good. I love love their broken rice shrimp and lemongrass chicken, wonderful! #46 I u! I also like their beef, it's very thin and lean and flavorful. My whole family of 5 enjoyed their meal...which is saying something with a 5, 12 and 14 yr old. Prices are great too. I highly recommend if you are looking for Vietnamese in the area.

    (4)
  • Jeff B.

Dive atmosphere totally lost in the outstanding vietnamese food, reasonable prices and byob. This blows the Philly vietnamese staples out of the water in those categories. Everything is solid, homemade and fresh. They even grow much of their own herbs and sell in the front in the warm weather months. I have eaten most everything and all are solid. Do yourself a culinary flavor, ignore the low brow atmosphere and indulge. Highly recommended

Great take out. Fresh ingredients - if never had Vietnamese, this is the place to try it for the first time - you will enjoy.

  • Brett C.

Blows all other places I've been to out of the water! I've eaten Vietnamese all around the Lehigh Valley, central NJ, and areas around Philadelphia, and I can say this place is my favorite by a landslide. The flavors are so fresh and vibrant thanks to their own home grown herbs and lemongrass. I typically order Bun Bo Hue (when offered) at every place I go and so far theirs has gone unbeaten. Some other places may offer some other ingredients such as pigs feet, tendon, Vietnamese ham, etc., but I find those ingredients to be gimmicks to distract from a lacking broth. Vietnam Cafe keeps it simple and extremely delicious. Do yourself a favor and become a regular.

Planning a trip to the boondocks (okay, Sellersville), I checked up on local dining options. After reading all the negative reviews here about the service and the ambiance at Vietnam Cafe, I planned to go to Saigon 2 but stupidly forgot to print out the directions. So, after twirling around Telford a while, my friend and I bumbled into Vietnam Cafe on a Friday night and said what the hell. The food was delicious. I had the grilled shrimp and lemongrass bun (#25, $8.95), which I ate down to the last, tiny morsel, plus the iced tea. The dish came with maybe 6 or 7 medium-sized shrimp, and I would have liked a few more, but I really can't complain. If it's any indication of how good the food was, it's barely 30 hours later and I am now trolling Yelp at 3:00 a.m., looking for Vietnamese restaurants closer to home. Yeah, okay, so they seated us next to the bathroom, even though there were plenty of other tables available. But the service was fine, at least on this night, and if I'm ever in the wilds of Telford, I'll be back.

Delicious flavorful food in huge portions. FRESH!! I love their eggrolls which are unlike ones you would find elsewhere. Smaller, delicate, and on a bed of greens and vegetables that are just as delicious! Atmosphere is very casual. Make sure you go up front to pay your bill when you're done, they don't bring you a check. We've been eating here for several years and are never disappointed. Highly recommended!

  • Dan H.

Pretty traditional good Vietnamese fare. I've been going there for about 6 years and, while not as nice as it's new Lansdale competitor, serves great food! The only negative is that they don't offer a chicken Pho which many newer Vietnamese places now have on their menus.

    (4)
  • Jennifer L.

I absolutely love this place. As another reviewer said, maybe the "ambiance" is lacking but who cares, it's clean, the food is delicious and the prices are great for the portions-- order takeout. My favorite is the grilled pork with egg roll over rice vermicelli with sweet sour sauce. SOO good, give it a try.

Being out for work in Montgomery County and unaware of the local eats, I planned out my lunch using yelp the night before. Since I was dining with a Vietnamese colleague of mine, I figured he like the idea of coming here for lunch. At every Vietnamese restaurant I've been to so far I always order pho and sometimes accompanied with spring rolls. I order the number 1 this time (standard pho with all parts of beef - don't remember the exact parts off the top of my head). The bowl was HUGE. I don't think I've been served pho in this big of a container before. It was tasty and good, though it didn't match the bar that was raised (damn you Dave!). A three seems a bit harsh of a rating and the food for me is about a 3.5. I also felt a little queasy (in my mind at least) being that the Sriracha was from 2007...and when i went to another table, that one was from 2005! Yikes... I'm willing to try this place again though. I may have to take you up your "I'll take you there myself" offer at some point Dave!

I've eaten here several times. The food is really good, however the service and ambiance is pretty awful. They don't use their heat in the winter time, which forces you to wear your coat AND gloves while eating - I kid you not! Very uncomfortable experience. This has happened more that once, so it was not an equipment malfunction. Having just tried Saigon's new location on 309, I can safely say I've found my new fix for Vietnamese food; better food, nicer people, better surroundings and still at a great price.

The food was just so ridiculously good tonight I think it might be in direct competition with Nam Phuong in my heart for Viet-Besties. I almost face planted in the bottom of my bún bowl to schlurp out the last of the noodle and herb schnivels on the bottom. Granted I ordered a grilled shrimp bún and they served me a shrimp and grilled pork bún, but I reckon they knew that deep down that is exactly what I was pining for. Right before we left a really obnoxious couple came in and planted a laptop on their table next to us with a movie playing loudly for their two brats, and lo I say WTF? This is not a big place and I came to eat and chill and to talk to my bf who I hadn't seen in a week, not listen to some cartoon bs blaring. Reign it in people! Don't ruin my perfect meal!

Alright, so I'm from San Jose, CA and came to PA for a business trip. We were tired of eating american food and decided our luck with local Vietnamese food. Thank you yelp for finding this little GEM in the middle of Telford,PA for me. I have to admit, one that enjoyed Vietnamese food all my life, this place was pretty good. I went with the pork chops over broken rice (added an egg) and it was spot on. Very tasty. Not to mention the egg rolls are better then some places in CA. If you enjoy Vietnamese cuisine, I definitely suggest coming out here and giving it a shot. Go with the rice dishes and slowly work up to the soups for those who are a little skeptical.

Worth treking out here if you live within a 15 mile radius...unless you live on Washinton and 6th in Philly...this is about as good as you're gonna get. Pros: The soups (Pho #1 or 6 i forget...the one with everything) was excellent, pork chop and broken rice Cons: The spring roll was meh

One of the best Vietnamese place in the area. Although the menu did not have any vegetarian dishes, they made us vegetarian rice vermicelli which was very tasty, light and flavorful. The jackfruit milkshake was very good too. Will surely go back.

I have been to this restaurant twice now and the food has been delicious. The pho was almost as good as what I have had in Chinatown, but the other dishes I have sampled were perfect. The service is a little slow, so do not go here if you are in a hurry. It is BYOB, which is always a plus.

This is definitely the best Vietnamese cuisine in the suburbs without having to go to Washington Ave in Philly Downtown. We come here all the time. The other two pho places around is Saigon Main (in Lansdale) and Pho Thai Nam (in Blue Bell), and they can't compete in quality, quantity or price. The pho is SO favorable and comes in large portions. Grill pork over short rice is good. And the summer rolls are fantastic. Love it here!

My boyfriend and I eat about once a week at Vietnam Cafe, and we've never been disappointed with the food. In fact, I think it's comparable to anything you can get in South Philly, where there are lots of quality Vietnamese restaurants. My favorite is the summer roll with grilled pork and #18 (rice vermicelli with pork and vegetables), while my boyfriend loves the wonton stew and chicken with ginger. I highly recommend this restaurant for excellent food with a reasonable price tag! The atmosphere isn't high end by any means, but the food more than makes up for that! porthttp://static.px.yelp.com/static/20090319/i/new/ico/star_big_5.gif

Working in Doylestown this week. I wish I discovered this place sooner. Yesterday I went to Saigon Main and ordered my all time favorite dish. Bun Bo Hue. Not at all what I expected there so I ventured to Vietnam Cafe and it was good. I ordered the grilled pork spring roll for an appetizer. 3 large rolls that I fininshed all by myself just in case the Bun Bo Hue turned out to be a dud. I knew was soon as the bowl was placed on the table it was going to be good. The broth was flavorable and a bit spicy. I wish I had time to go back.

Best Pho in the area! We always get 27b (summer rolls with shrimp and grilled pork) and since I love beefballs, I always get pho #6 (pho with just beefballs. they give you 5+ cut in half so 10+!). The food here is authentic and as good as it gets. We come here almost every weekend! The restaurant is clean (enough) for a Vietnamese restaurant, and the service is decent. This is not a fine dining experience by any means but it is THE place to go for the best pho in the area.

As a Vietnamese person, I felt like this place was not very good. During My first time here I tried the egg roll and its ok. I also had a seafood dish; the ingredients used were not fresh nor were they tasty. I recommend that you don't go to this place; there is a better Vietnamese place in lansdale.

I've dined here a few times because there isn't much available in the area for vietnamese foods. Let just say i am not a chef but i make better foods than them. Very home style viet food and quick service for lunch. Everything taste comforting not great but not bad by any means. Been here 4 or 5 times now. Doesn't seem to use to much msg. It's an average Vietnamese resturant but here in Telford it's a star.

    (3)
  • Brad P.

The food here is good. The beef in the beef broken rice is a little tougher than I am used to. That being said, the chicken over vermicelli really rules. It easily competes with similar places in Center City. The 'burbs would be a worse place if this restaurant were not around.

Pretty traditional good Vietnamese fare. I've been going there for about 6 years and, while not as nice as it's new Lansdale competitor, serves great food! The only negative is that they don't offer a chicken Pho which many newer Vietnamese places now have on their menus.

I absolutely love this place. As another reviewer said, maybe the "ambiance" is lacking but who cares, it's clean, the food is delicious and the prices are great for the portions-- order takeout. Amazing vietnamese food. Always fresh, super affordable pricing, and quick. Must tries: any of the pho, banh mi, and pork with broken rice. I have eaten here many times, and take out is just as great as eating in. Happy this place exists so close to home!

Stopped here on my way to a concert. Wow! So glad I did. Very friendly and efficient service. This will be one of my favorite restaurants when coming out this way. The squid was fantastic and not greasy. The vegetarIan spring rolls were yummy. Highly Recommended!

Wow. On a whim we stopped in while we were in the area. The place was quiet, the employees attentive and helpful. The food was fresh, delicious and expertly prepared. I doubt you could go wrong with anything on this menu. We will happily go back! Also, baby friendly, a super plus.

Food was good and was delivered fast. Had pho with several varieties of beef, along with summer rolls. Minus 1 star due to $20 minimum requirement for credit cards, which violates MasterCard merchant rules.

I've had Pho in a lot of places and cities, like New York and this is definitely one of the best, if not the best. The spring rolls #26 were delicious and they give you a lot of them. Also, #7 is great, you can smell the flavor and the freshness. Wish I lived closer!
