Came here for lunch. Pros: -Cheap: 2 rolls for roughly $9; 3 rolls for roughly $12 (Comes with miso soup & salad) -Clean -Nice servers and hence good service Space wise, it is better to go with a friend or date. There are several booths that fit 2 people, a sushi bar, and then a few big tables for larger groups. The rolls taste pretty good; I've had better tasting rolls. I would go with the crunchy spicy salmon and crunchy spicy tuna rolls since they have more flavor than the regular rolls. As a dude, I had to go with 3 rolls and was pretty satisfied. I was content, and did not feel I overate.

Best fresh sushi in town! The salmon on the Philadelphia roll is very soft and flavorful! The prices are reasonable and I highly recommend getting the Japanese soda at least once!

Izu Sushi is a hidden gem! The food is so fresh and the restaurant is super clean. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable, especially the lunch menu. They also do a busy take-out service. I love the days I get to meet my friends here and highly recommend this restaurant.

Just ate here for the first time today and it was FANTASTIC! The service was excellent and the food is phenomenal (I highly recommend the wasabi dumplings!) I also got the Izu roll, which was also delicious! Inside was beautifully decorated and super clean. I love how they offer a complimentary glass of wine or saki in the PM! This is definitely my new sushi spot and I'm already looking forward to going back again!

I think we ordered almost every sushi they had on their menu. Our daughter and her girlfriend were visiting from NY and she ordered almost everything and then my husband started. I only asked them to get me something with lobster. This by far is the best Sushi around and I've been eating it for years. We all loved it. So fresh and so unique and non of those disgusting sauces that usually drown out the actual ingredients. They do a great job here. It's our new favorite.

This new sushi restaurant in Lansdale is perfect. Staff are knowledgeable about the food, personable and efficient. The sushi is creative, gorgeous and most of all delicious. Everything inside is spotless and attractive. It's too bad we don't live near Lansdale or this would be our new sushi spot.

I like the design of the restaurant it feels so comfortable. The fish is so fresh they have a lot of good stuff like king crab, Octopus, sweet shrimp, uni, toro and many more. If you like to try a variety of sushi that would be a good choice so I highly recommended go there and try some of their sushi they also have a lot of special roll. I love this place and will be back again。

Excellent sushi - always fresh. Takeout is great too. $4/roll special is very good value for money. Will definitely be eating here more often!

Great experience at Izu Sushi! We don't live near Lansdale, but found ourselves with a serious craving for sushi one day after visiting Peace Valley Park. Yelp steered us here. Everything was delicious! I think the highlight was the Pink Underwear Roll. The Ninja Turtle roll was amazing too. I'm often disappointed in specialty rolls because all of the sauces and extras seem to overwhelm the fish. I think Izu does it right. More than anything, the staff were unbelievably courteous and helpful. If I lived closer, this would be my new go-to. As a side note, the only item we weren't in love with was the mochi--too gummy and sweet. I'm used to the Mikawaya brand from TJ's. But that just deducts the bonus star I'd give this place:)

We have our go-to sushi place, but wanted to give a try other sushi bar. This is an average sushi place. The price and taste were fair but not spectacular. Good: Oyster shooter, Yellow tail, white tuna Ok: tuna, salmon roe Not good: salmon, shari (rice), miso soup Although fish seemed pretty fresh, salmon wasn't melt in your month quality which we can find all the time in other sushi place we usually go. The shari was way too dense and over-cooked. You will be full fast if you eat them. There are so many sushi bars but no one can get the shari right....

Just went here for lunch for the first time and it was FANTASTIC. I got the two-roll lunch special which cost only $8.95 and came with a very healthy portion of ginger salad and miso soup. I got the Crunchy Spicy Salmon and the Eel Avocado roll and they were both delicious. I'm also not usually a fan of miso soup, but this one had more flavor than others I've had and I really enjoyed it. The staff was extremely friendly and the service was great. We didn't have to wait forever to get our drinks, food or check and I really appreciated that. I will definitely be coming here again. I'd love to try it for dinner and get some of their specialty rolls, which all sounded delicious!

After being housebound for a couple of weeks, I treated myself to a sushi dinner by visiting this Yelp top-rated place not too far way. Boy, was the dinner a disappointment. Warning flags started popping up before I entered the restaurant. The store sign for the restaurant sent me the message that "this is not your usual Japanese sushi place..." As I pushed the door open, there was a smell of heavy frying which I could not associate with tempura. I walked in thinking perhaps I should not expect a "5-star" experience here. Sure enough, the person behind the sushi bar looked too young and too unkept to be a sushi CHEF - his hair was in desperate need of a cut and he did not greet his customers, not me, not the very few people who walked in after me. I knew this meant the operators of the place were neither Japanese nor Korean. Not a re-assuring sign. While I was waiting for my food to be served, the owners' daughter toddled up and down the aisle, eyeing the customers at the three tales, in turn. She was very cute. But I thought the parents should have kept her at home instead of caring for her in their business place. My two maki sushi rolls finally arrived. They looked smallish - the Dragon roll had a diameter significantly smaller than expected. The good things were: 1 - the pieces did not fall apart, and 2 - I could taste the avocado, the cucumber, and, faintly, the eel. The other roll was fried. It was crunchy and tasted like the sauce that was squeezed on. I could not tell what was wrapped inside. The wasabi paste was on the dry side, the green onion sprinkled on the plate was shriveled and not freshly cut. The bill came. The amount I was charged was a bargain for a 5-star place but too high for the quality of food I received. It was a relief for me to walk out of there, never to return.

Tried everything that looked cool and a house salad (very light portion but not the usual iceberg only serving). The Sea Urchin Shooter was awesome, very smooth and balanced between the urchin & duck egg. Tried the Specialty Rolls: Izu Roll - average taste, light on the King Crab, not worth the $$ Lobster Tempura - exactly what you'd expect, average flavor. Crazy Monkey - crazy good. The combo of salmon, shrimp, crab, eel, egg & cucumber wrapped in soy paper was very balanced. Sauce was ordinary and probably could be eliminated as it didn't add flavor to the wonderfully roll. Finished with tuna & salmon sushi, kani & wasabi masago sashimi. Fish was fresh, sliced a bit too large for my liking (imagine that, complaining about too big a piece) but for me, too big = less than great mouthfeel.

Simply the best around. We know and love our sushi. We have been every where and this is the best food, quality, customer service, evironment, and at every reasonable prices. The place is nice and the staff are very friendly. The husband and wife truly care about the business and about giving their customers the best food and service. We have always gotten the shushi, shashimi for two and they don't go cheap like most places They give u high quality, more expensive, think pieces. They do the little extra things like putting cucumbers in their water. They are awesome and just a great place to go to. Highly recommend !

Best sushi I've ever had! Everything tasted great, looked AMAZING, and service was on fleek. Definitely a must-go. We started with the Fuji roll that we got for free thanks to a Yelp check-in coupon. Our waitress wasn't even sassy about it so mad points right there. It was sooo good. Absolutely beautiful. "Mixed fish" was how it was described to us which sounded fishy (had to do it) before we learned it was just tuna and salmon. It was a warm roll too and crunchy -- really great starter for the table. We also tried the lunch boxes from the lunch specials, which came with California rolls, your choice of protein, rice, dumplings, and a salad. Awesome deal for $9-$13. Loved the chicken teriyaki! Friends got the crunchy spicy salmon roll and the kiss of dragon roll, both of which looked incredible. Mad artistry. Our servers were really nice and attentive and even gave us quarters to park outside since we didn't have any (who consistently carries change around now WHO). The place is BYO and seems pretty popular. I didn't have a stomach ache after eating here so that's good, means the fish wasn't fishy. And finally my most favorite part of the experience -- they had cucumber water!!!! Love love love cucumber water, it's just more refreshing than reg h2o. Definitely interested in returning!

Izu is officially my new favorite sushi place!! We came here on a Saturday night and we were seated right away. It's a BYOB so I made sure that I enjoyed my dinner with a bottle of wine. I got crazy monkey and my boyfriend got the dragon kiss. They were both AMAZING. The dragon kiss was a little spicy but not too much, just a perfect heat. I also checked in on yelp and we got a free California roll, so make sure you do that!!! I can't wait to go back!

Great bargin for lunch! Soup, salad and two rolls for under $10. Would recommend for sushi lovers. I just had shrimp tempura, I usually customize. Make sure you ask ir read what's in rolls before ordering.

Came with the fiancé and daughter, checked in and used the free California roll deal for the little lady. Ordered a regular dish jalapeños yellowtail, the ninja roll due to recommendations, the special of the day a tornado, shrimp tempura roll and gyozas. Everything was just heavenly , after a long day at Dorney park and the fast food, this was a great way to end the night. Thanks Izu sushi for the great service and cuisine!

Great new sushi place right on Maine Street in Lansdale. I loved my salmon teriayaki and the sweet potato rolls were really good too. If you check in on Yelp you get an order of California rolls, which were really good as well. Overall, a great addition to Lansdale. They also have the 3 rolls for $10.95 special!

  • Jessica L.

This was my first time going here. I passed it lots of time but finally decided to try it out for lunch and I have to say it wasn't that bad. The place is small and there was a sushi bar in the back where people can see the chief roll their sushi. It was my first time trying the cucumber water ever and it has a really strong flavor. It wasn't my favorite thing but it's not gonna stop me from returning. Our rolls were delicious and it come with a small soup. There was a 3 sushi roll deal that is very reasonable. I will defiantly be returning

Recently, my family and I went to Izu Sushi in Lansdale, PA and it instantly has become my go-to sushi place in the area. We were there around lunch time on a Saturday and it was not busy at all. They've got a great menu including traditional rolls, specialty rolls, teriyaki items, and sashimi. We just ordered water but the restaurant is BYOB. The water was actually cucumber infused water which was super refreshing. We decided to order a few items to share as a table. Our first item was the Fuji Morning Roll which is a fried hot sushi roll filled with fish, avocado, and mango and topped with scallions, spicy mayo, sweet chili sauce and siracha. This was my favorite item of the whole meal. It was lightly fried but still very crispy on the outside and the sauces paired perfectly. The Fuji Morning Roll was followed by 2 specialty rolls, "Kiss of Dragon" and "Ninja Turtle" and 1 traditional roll, their crunchy spicy tuna. "Kiss of Dragon" was pretty good but it was hard to tell because the "Ninja Turtle" roll was absolutely amazing. This roll is filled with spicy white tuna and yellow tail and tempura tempura flakes and topped with avocado, honey wasabi sauce and wasabi tobiko. The sweet and spicy flavor of the honey wasabi sauce was like icing on the cake. The crunch spicy tuna roll was well made and definitely a step above your standard sushi. My Dad loves fried rice so we got an order of chicken fried rice for the table. This was easily some of the best fried rice I've had in a long time. The rice itself was light, almost fluffy and cooked perfectly. Overall, I cannot wait to go back to Izu. I'll definitely be ordering the Ninja Turtle and Fuji Morning rolls again and I'm looking forward to trying out a few more of their specialty rolls as well.

My bf and I have been here 3 times now and it's always amazing. So amazing, in fact, that we went the first 2 times with a Groupon, but the food and service were so good that we actually felt guilty using it so we paid full price. Seriously, everything is delicious, especially the Fuji Morning app and the sushi and sashimi dinners where they just give you whatever and you eat it while making loud "yum" noises.

I have stopped by several times for the lunch specials ($8.95 for 2 rolls, $11.95 for 3). If you like fresh sushi, at a reasonable costs- this is the place for you! Recommended are the blue point oysters (app), crunchy tuna roll and California roll. Some more flamboyant options/specials are always on the sushi board - try the pink underwear. BYOB - stop at RGB around the corner for a growler to wash down some excellently delicious Japanese style food.

Who'd a thunk, on Main St. Lansdale of all places, there'd be a sushi goldmine ? This place is money ! I followed the recommendations of many Yelpers who did not disappoint. Went with my usual dining companions for all things Asian. We started off with miso soup (lovely) and edamame (perfectly steamed and salted). I had the oyster shooter (to die for). A dining companion had the tuna sundae and it was unbelievable. Got the Fuji Morning roll (incredible); the Ninja Turtle (more outrageous). The jalapeno pepper yellowtail was equally good. My dear friends' son who doesn't do the sushi thing, but gets everything else loved his gyoza (got 2 orders) and we all tried some of his chicken katsu (perfection). Servers are beyond friendly, quick, utterly delightful in every way. This place is a keeper !!!!!

My husband and I went here for lunch and left stuffed! We were greeted by friendly staff and seated immediately. We ordered specialty rolls, so I can't speak to the lunch special, but the rolls we got were great. Fresh fish, good size, creative combos. We typically share our rolls and order twice; both orders came out pretty quickly and beautifully presented. Not what I would expect from lunch service. The staff was attentive throughout our meal, making sure we were never waiting long for anything. Decor is fine and sodas are canned, but that's really just an fyi, as they are not how I judge my restaurants. We are thrilled there's a new local sushi spot and will definitely be back!

  • Sarah O.

The lunch special here is THE BUSINESS. You get two rolls, salad and miso soup for nine bucks. I got the spicy crunchy salmon roll (and they earned each and every one of those adjectives) and a tuna avocado roll. Everything was exactly what I was looking for - the soup was hot, the salad crisp, the fish fresh, and the interior decor was classy. I can't wait to go back!

  • K S.

Food was delicious and beautifully presented. It was $100 (with the tip) for 2 of us to share 5 rolls and an appetizer. Steep in price, but delicious none the less. I was a bit sad to see that the restaurant only had about 6 guests at 8pm on a Friday. It is a nice addition to downtown Lansdale and I'll be going back.

Bland... Not sure what else to say. Could not taste the wasabi in the wasabi shumai. The crunchy spicy tuna was not spicy. My seafood soup contained chunks of raw onion. Unlikely to try this place again.

Had lunch with work colleagues at Izu Sushi today. They chose the spot because of the great Yelp reviews. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! First of all, the prices are INSANELY cheap so at first I was a bit reluctant. We had two orders of the sushi & sashimi lunch and 4 rolls. The rolls were small but very tasty and the sushi & sashimi was absolutely divine. The fish (we had tuna, salmon, yellowtail and white tuna) literally melted in our mouths - similar to toro tuna. The wait staff was kind and attentive. The decor is simple and clean (very comfy seats). I really like this place and it is my official sushi joint in Lansdale. Check it out y'all. You won't be disappointed.

Ate dinner here recently and it was every bit as good as the other reviews say. Room is well decorated with a light, airy feeling. This is a relatively small space and it could easily fell cramped and dark but it does not. Service was professional, prompt and nonintrusive. Food was excellent. Sushi/Sashimi combo dinner was a very good selection of various fish plus a side of their crispy spicy tuna roll. Sashimi cuts were larger than in many other restaurants adding to the value of the plate. Shrimp tempura was also a great value and the total plate, including a nice selection of vegetables, was more than my wife could finish. All of the dinners included Miso Soup and a house salad. I generally don't like Miso Soup but this was better than many. The house salad wasn't anything special but still a nice touch. Best surprise of the night was the reasonable prices. I have had a combo dinner in a number of other Sushi houses that were higher priced for less fish and nowhere nearly as well presented. Izu Sushi is truly one of the best values in the Lansdale area. BYOB, selection of other beverages is somewhat limited. Overall, very highly recommended.

Awesome, fresh sushi at a great price. The fact that it is BYOB just takes it to another level. I have tried the sweet potato roll at just about every sushi place I've ever been to, and this is by far the best I've ever had. In fact, all of their rolls are so delicious. Cannot say enough great things about the food and service. It's a small place, so it doesn't hurt to have a reservation. A definite must!

When we're feeling lazy and want some delicious sushi delivered, we order here every time. They have amazing prices and the sushi is outstanding. Delivery is always quick and the delivery guy is super nice. Five stars from me because it's great every time.

Awesome awesome hands down. I have been going to a lot of sushi places and this place by far is the best. The atmosphere is really chill. My mom, brother an I got a 2 sushi rolls that were $4 each and they were awesome so in all we had 6 rolls and that fills us up. We also had the oysters which we also very yummy. The water is good too.. Lol weird to say but I didn't know that the water was infused with cucumbers but it was refreshing. The sushi are filled with tasty fish. I got the eel cucumber and crunchy spicy tuna mom got Philadelphia and eel and avocado and my bro got crunchy spicy tuna and shrimp tempura all were delicious. They also have awesome presentation. The place is pretty big they also have a sushi bar which is cool. I also love how it's BYOB so it's great for a date night. I saw they cb specials and on my day off I am def coming here and bringing friends. I wanted to try other sushi but that's for another knew I will def be coming here more often. It's a must try and awesome tasty sushi.

Good service, good food. We went on a random Monday night. The place was fairly empty but the atmosphere was welcoming. My husband had 6 oysters, he wasn't crazy about the sauce but they were fresh and he had no problem finishing every last one. We had a few appetizers (miso and seaweed salad) the salad had great presentation. As did our rolls...the details on the plate were beautiful.

This is a great place for sushi. The interior is nicely decorated and it has a overall very "cool" ambiance. The sushi specials are great. Is it the best sushi I have ever had? No. But it is definitely tasty and fresh. Great sushi at a even better price.

A-mazing service, fresh fish, a free appetizer because they are trying to get to know the neighborhood! The ginger was fresh and not a gross dyed pink color, same with the salmon. All was made fresh and had great presentation. BYOB is also a super plus. Welcome to Lansdale, Izu Sushi!

We had a great meal tonight at Izu Sushi - some of the best sushi we've had in a really long time and on par with the best sushi restaurants in the area, but very reasonably priced. Really fresh fish, great service and very friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

While visiting family from out of town, I searched for a well-rated, reasonably priced sushi restaurant for my final night's dinner. I am a frequent sushi eater, so it takes a lot to impress me, but Izu was worthy of all the good ratings...everything we ate was delicious, fresh, beautifully presented and the service was very attentive. I recommend the Black Angel roll...both beautiful and delicious. Just remember to BYOB! Izu is a truly a hidden gem of Lansdale!

This place was a great surprise. This isn't your average suburban sushi place. They are obviously shooting for the stars.... and hitting. I thought the sushi was just as good or better than the other big name places in the area like Umai or blue fin. The presentation of our dishes was incredibly impressive and on par with any popular foodie spot in Philly. The price was more than reasonable at under $50 for dinner for two. The atmosphere and service were great as well. Definitely check this place out. Edit: Since I originally wrote this review I've been going back about once a month and it's never been a let down. Any day of the week, take out or dine in, this place is absolutely excellent. This is one of very few restaurants I've rated 5 stars on yelp and will still stand by.

If' you haven't tried this restaurant you are missing out!!! Great deal on Sundays and Thursdays, 2 special rolls for $20.00. I had the "Ninja Turtle" and my favorite, "Fuji Morning". Once again, Ivan hits it out of the ballpark!! His chef presents the dishes so beautifully, you almost don't want to eat it. The best I have had in a long time! Service was wonderful and the restaurant is tastefully decorated for the holidays. Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant, it's the best thing that has happened to Lansdale in a long time! Congratulations Ivan and staff on a most enjoyable visit!

There are lots of sushi restaurants in the area, but we've been to a number of them. They're usually decent, but generally nothing that memorable. We consider ourselves to be discerning foodies and only write reviews for places we think are outstanding. When we learned that a new sushi bar was located in the middle of a modest looking block of Lansdale, we didn't expect to find such an attractive restaurant! We did have high expectations of the food, due to all five of the reviewers giving Izu 5 stars...they were right! The fish was extremely fresh and delicious, presented in a beautiful manner. The service was perfect (although we went in very late on a Monday, so it may not be a fair test). And everyone was as nice as can be. Who could ask for more?

Tried this new place last night. it's AMAZING, lucky us we here on their first special roll deal night for $20 for 2 specialty rolls and $10 per additional roll. So we ordered 3 specialty rolls for $30; Ninja Turtle, Izu, and Sweet Heart, great presentation and super fresh. They just started these new deals for Thursday & Sunday is Specialty Roll Deal and Monday-Thursday is regular roll deal, I think the regular roll is like $4 each on week nights...very great place for a date...MUST TRY!!!

Was looking forward to eating at Izu Sushi as we heard good things and the Yelp reviews were very good. We went in December 2014. Overall it was good. Some of my sushi was cold, like the rice and fish was kept on ice. That is really the only complaint. The people that spoke with us were nice, the environment is good and the food tasty. Its just not our favorite sushi in Lansdale though.

Some of the best sushi I've had in Montgomery County. The Gyoza and Crunchy Spicy Tuna Rolls were literally mind blowing. My mind blew out my ears and onto the floor. By far the best place to eat in Lansdale. Which might not be saying much, but seriously, it's good.

My husband and I ate a late lunch here today. Being the day after Christmas, we were pleased that it was open and surprised that at 2pm several of the tables were full! We both ordered a 3 roll lunch special as well as a Fuji Morning roll. Everything was delicious, there are no complaints other than that their service was super quick! The lunch specials came with a salad and miso soup. The dressing on the salad was refreshing and evening was fresh. The miso was nice and light, not too hot. My husband had the spicy salmon, yellow tail, and alaskan. Each roll came with six pieces. I had shrimp tempura, eel avocado, and Philadelphia. Everything was great! The Fuji morning had a nice spice and the flavors worked great together- and the presentation was beautiful. The atmosphere was relaxing and everyone there was kind and very prompt. We both left very full We will definitely be back here whenever we come to this area of PA!

First off, I would like to start off with the beautiful interior design! From the lighting to the arts on the wall, they sure know how to set the mood for a fantastic evening out with the girlfriend. (She couldn't stop complimenting how nice the place was on the way home.) I had the Spicy Spider Roll and Spicy Tempura Roll which were the best I've had in a long time! You could tell that the soft shell crab and tempuras were freshly fried before being rolled because they were still warm and crispy on its way down to my tummy! My girlfriend had the Chicken Teriyaki which was delicious and the portion was very large. (We ended up packing half of it home.) My first time having the toro (fatty tuna) and it was mind blowing good. I can't stop thinking about it and I will be drooling in my sleep tonight. The service was great! The servers were very friendly and patient with a lot of our questions. Small things like constantly having our drinks refilled without me asking and checking up on us every once in a while was a plus. We even had the opportunity to meet their young handsome owner Ivan and beautiful wife Kathy (Thanks for the gift certificate! :))

It's nice to see another new and quality restaurant in downtown Lansdale. While Umai is still my gold standard in the area, this place is certainly solid. The fish was fresh and the service was friendly. The chef went out of his way to show us the fresh new cut of tuna they just received. The rolls were a bit on the small side but you get a soup and a salad with your lunch choice. For about $13 you can't beat it. There is plenty of street parking in the area and it appears there is parking behind the building as well.

I stop in this sushi place for lunch sometimes. The dragon roll is very yummy, definitely recomended. What sets this place apart for me is the fact that they serve cucumber infused water. The establishment is very clean. At Izu sushi you can expect a friendly and efficient staff.

Akropolis employees did a very poor of cutting the granite for my kitchen counter top. The cut it so that the least attractive piece is the largest piece, the first thing everyone sees, and because of the way it was cut, the installers had to connect the pieces at the weakest place, across the center of the sink. There are two pieces of the granite placed side by side; the colors of these two pieces flow in perpendicular directions. The installers broke the plumbing under the sink. After many conversations with employees, I was reimbursed $125 of the $148 I paid for the new plumbing. Why the discrepancy I don't know, nor did the employee who informed me know why. I am eligible for the senior discount. The company never mentioned that to me. In the future I intend to be a much better informed consumer. There was one employee, the only one, who was sympathetic, helpful, and polite. I would not recommend one thing about Akropolis to any one.

Just went for lunch, really fantastic sushi! I got the tuna lunch special and some salmon nigiri. The salmon was pretty good, and accurately priced. The miso soup was one of the better ones I've ever had too, and I don't usually like miso soup. I really enjoyed everything I ate, but the big thing that stood out was the quality of the tuna. If you love tuna, you'll love this place. Absolutely delicious, it melts in your mouth. I'll have to try the toro next time I come! My only complaint is the price of individual sushi. The meals are really good deals, but if you want a specific type of sushi on its own the prices are almost illogically high compared to the amount of sushi that comes with the meals or much cheaper. I guess you get what you pay for!

Nice decor and great staff! I tried the Fuji Morning and the Pink Underwear roll which sounds pervy but was great. Everything was fresh and quickly prepared. Hope to be back!

We came in from out of town and chose to eat here based on positive Yelp reviews. We were not disappointed. We got there at 5pm on a Wednesday and were the first ones to be seated for dinner. We came with 2 small children and ordered the edemames, spring rolls, and shrimp tempura appetizers. They were all very good and came out one after another, which worked for us. We also got the chicken and the shrimp fried rice for the kids, and both tasted phenomenal. Finally, we had the sushi - we started with the earthquake and Tokyo rolls - which were so good even my kids liked them. We were kind of stuffed after that so we settled on the crab and eel rolls (2 pieces of each) to finish things off. Overall, this was a great meal. The service was also very good. If we ever come back through town I will definitely come back.

Came in for the Tuesday night 4 dollar roll deal for takeout after work. I went to pay for my food and gave the girl my credit card and she asked me if I had cash instead. When I told her I did not she grinned and moved the sign in front of my face that they placed by the register suggesting cash purchases. Either you take credit cards or you don't. Ridiculous to smugly place sign in my face when I tell you I have no cash. Good sushi but they need to figure out what their types of payments they take without making their customers uncomfortable.

I always visit a place several times before reviewing. That said, I'm a fan of Izu. Their sushi is always fresh, and they've been wonderful whenever we've had food from there. We haven't eaten in the restaurant yet (their atmosphere is lovely, if a bit small). We've picked up and had delivery. Their specialty rolls are consistently good. They have inexpensive lunch specials as well. It's a BYOB, which is great, especially if you can walk there. It's right on one of Lansdale's main streets, so it's accessible. All in all, really pleased with the owner's customer service and the food (even when delivered)! If you're in the area, it's a must try!

Overall, highly rate this place, and we will go again! What a nice surprise in Lansdale. Small place next to Philly Pretzel and Main Street Pizzeria. All of the food was very good! We are big fans of Ooka for sushi, and I'd say this place is almost on par with them, and better than Joa Sushi. - Rolls: We tried Rt. 63, Pink Underwear, and King Kong - all very good, especially the Pink Underwear. - Sashimi: we tried raw blue shrimp, which was excellent. We tried to order striped bass and fluke, but they were out of both. - Pan Fried Seafood Udon was a surprising delight! Lots of chunks of fish and vegetables, in addition to the usual shrimp and squid. - Our waitress was a little brusque, but she kept our glasses filled and food came out at a good rate, especially considering the rolls. Overall, highly rate this place, and we will go again!

Checked out this place last night since the regular sushi restaurant that I go to was packed. It is located right in downtown Lansdale with street and lot parking available nearby. The place is wheelchair accessible, which is something that I cannot say for the majority of the other restaurants in this section of Lansdale: however, you may need help with the doors to enter and exit the restaurant as they are close together. The inside of the restaurant is really nice and inviting. It looks like a great place for a date or a nice get-together with friends. The food was really good. I have to admit the presentation of their food is amazing. I had the Gyoza to start and it was perfectly cooked. I also had a Volcano roll which tasted as good as it looked which was great. The Unagi sashimi was also tasty and was cooked perfectly. Service was excellent too with a friendly and observant wait staff. There are some differences that separate this place from my regular sushi restaurant. The location of this place is a little difficult and does depend on parking: however, they do offer delivery. My regular place does offer a small dessert at the end of the meal while this place does not. The way the sushi in the rolls are prepared is a little different from each other but taste equally great. Price-wise, they are almost the same. Overall, this is a great place...and my other go-to sushi restaurant in the area.

This place is okay with their food. Nice and friendly staff. Foods seems fresh. But I think is over rated with a five star in my opinion. The Asian couple who owns this place did try to satisfy their customer. I guess I would still recommend this place to local who lives close by.
