Best wings in the area BY FAR. Sweet Hottie is my go-to flavor... Excellent mix of sweetness with a kick. The fried oyster PO-Boy sammich is outstanding too. HIGHLY recommend WIBS.

Small place in a strip mall full of places to eat. I work across the street and decided to try something different than WAWA. I expected something different before I walked in but was very pleasantly surprised. Catfish and oyster Po bOys. My kind of joint Food was made fresh. So fresh and hot I burned my mouth. My fault. Coleslaw was very cold and very good. Big fish and large bun. Fountain soda and tea Paid about $10.00

This is a very small but clean and comfortable restaurant. The food is amazing. I especially like the Sirloin Salads but also love the ribs and wings. The prices are very good, and the restaurant is super clean. My only regret is that they do not serve coffee. Despite that, I come here whenever I am in the area and have always been more than satisfied. I believe that you will also be impressed.

A BURGER REVIEW [accompanying music by Neil Hamburger: youtube.com/watch?v=Oo_g… ] This is a review specifically of the "WIBBER" burger, nothing else, which I've had upwards of a dozen times over the past few months when I'm too lazy to cook after work (after all, I do happen to be YELP'S DUKE OF WIBS!). Whether you love or hate their ribs/wings is obviously a matter of some debate among other reviewers and I won't weigh in on that topic. But the burger is definitely a pretty good burger, probably the best in the Collegeville/Phoenixville area (if it isn't please message me, enquiring minds want to know!). Certainly better than the curiously popular Elevation Burger in Providence Town Center down the road. It's a daily special on the board, not on the menu, but they seem to have it every day. The WIBBER (see photo) is a 1/3 lb (I'm guessing) hand-formed Angus beef pattie, with bacon, cheddar cheese, smokey BBQ sauce, tomato, red onion, and lettuce on a grilled traditional hamburger bun. The burger is well-seared and slightly charred on the outside and, according to the owner's wife (I think), cooked to well-done. Actually, although it was medium well-done (but juicy) the first few time I had it, it is now consistently medium rare (fine with me), even the "medium" I just ordered, so I don't know what's up with that. Not surprisingly the ingredients go well together, are appropriately apportioned, and the firm toasted bun is up to the task of holding it all together. Other than the variable doneness, the only suggestion I would have to improve the WIBBER is for less BBQ sauce (or maybe order it on the side), since for takeout it often leaks and ends up soaking some of the bottom bun. It comes with one side, which for me is usually coleslaw (~1/4 cup, so I usually order a second for $0.50). This is frankly outstanding coleslaw--creamy, thick, fresh, and without any celery salt or other odd flavors that turn me off many restaurant slaws. I assume it is homemade, but I'm not sure about that. This isn't a seriously hardcore burger, say like those from Garces' Village Whiskey, but for what and where it is, it is well worth enjoying. Burger, 2 sides + tax = $9, so a decent price for a large, filling, handmade burger. Family owned, WIBS, has SUPER, SUPER FRIENDLY STAFF (SSFS), some of whom are presumably the owner's family. They really treat you like family, and remember a regular's favorites. ~10 min wait at 6PM when there are usually only a few customers. A spartan, but clean and attractive restaurant, with ~half a dozen tables and 2 high-tops. BYOB if you care to partake. Easy parking in the strip mall lot out front (next to Wawa). Menu: wibswingsribsmore.com/wi… Sláinte!

This guy has true passion for BBQ. Big fan of the owners and the food. Excellent portions and holy hell is the food amazing. I will absolutely be coming back! I have no doubt in my mind that this place will grow into something much bigger. Best of luck for the owners!

Don't believe the "one stars" - this is a great ribs and wings place and I also really love the hamburger which is really special. The sweet potato fries and cole slaw always taste fresh and flavorful. WIBS is always busy and sometimes you have to wait because this place is becoming so popular. My wife and I are very lucky to live down the road from WIBS because this is a place we go when we have a craving for something special and a little quirky and delicious! We've been there half a dozen times and keep coming back. The owners and staff are always gracious and really nice people.

RUDE OWNER AND NOT A FAMILY RESTAURANT ! So sad to do this - but I have been a customer of WIBS for the last 2 years (reviewed them on web/Facebook page subscriber) and am disappointed to write this review not on the food but how the owner behaved. Last Wednesday night, 422 road buckled and I spent 2.5 hours getting to daycare to pick up my kids - once I picked them up, I thought - lets walk over to WIBS to have a quick dinner. When I walked in, there were 2 tables filled and 2 customers waiting for phone orders. Upon entering, I noticed that there was a family already using a highchair. I waited in line to ask the cashier where I would find another highchair and her response was "we don't have another one...a bunch of people have asked for another and I have told him but we don't have one". I told her - thanks, could I please speak to the owner. He came out of the kitchen (looking quite annoyed) and said, "Yeah". I politely told him that I was disappointed that he did not have a second highchair in his restaurant and that especially since he was next to a day care and catered to being a place for the whole family (has kids menu). His response was "no one ever asks for them" . I let him know what the cashier had just told me that they had received more requests and his response was "do you want me to buy 200 of them". So condescending - so rude. Yeah...I expect you to have 200 of them. Grow up! RESPECT is a BIG thing for me!! I RESPECT my community and I RESPECT small businesses and support small business such as yours- but Mr. WIBS you did NOT RESPECT me as a customer or RESPECT me as a parent. Unfortunately Mr. WIBS - your LACK of RESPECT just LOST you a customer. Social Media is a horrible thing when you upset someone who has supported and suggested your small family owned business. NEVER AGAIN will I support your business and will make sure to communicate to all the families in our community how you treated me and how they should expect to be treated. Shame on you for your behavior - by the way, thanks for doing in front of my kids! My 4 year old kept asking me "why was that man so mean"...

When I first walked in and didn't smell woodfire smoke or even BBQ I was a little concerned. Order at the counter, pay there, they bring out your food. The person at the counter was helpful explaining some things on the menu. We ordered wings with their hoisin sauce and a full rack of baby back ribs. The wings were just the way I like them. Crispy on the outside, not greasy on the inside. The ribs were pretty good, but I would have rather had the dry rub. Next time! The person at the counter saw I was taking trash to the can and pushed everything down in so I could get my trash in. Nice touch. My only recommendation from my first trip there is to have a larger selection of drinks. Pepsi products from a fountain is the only choice you get. How about some brewed tea instead of Nestea Brisk (which tastes along the lines of antifreeze to me) It's a good place and I'll go back.

Great wings. Great ribs. If you like ribs and wings get the combo. Ask for extra Bleu cheese. Right next to wawa. And next to primo hoagies. Nice family owned business. The onion rings are great.

I've only been here once, which was for lunch. I went with their Wibber burger and I was shocked at how tall the burger was. I had to smash it down quite a bit in order to get it into my mouth! The burger was quite tasty though. The sauce came running out, but it wasn't too messy. The fries were also delicious. I'm not a wings person, so probably won't ever try those, but would go back for the burger or to try their pulled pork or BBQ chicken. I do wish they had fresh brewed iced tea (especially sweet tea) rather than just the Pepsi fountain drinks and Brisk tea. The Wibber is not on the menu, but based on other reviews, seems to be on the daily specials everyday. To me it's not a special if it's available all the time--why not just put it on the menu? Staff was pretty friendly. It took a good 10 minutes for my order to come out, which was no big deal to me. Small seating area inside.

This place genuinely cares about their food and its apparent every time I go. Very friendly owners. I just wish they could expand down to where I live so I could go more than once or twice a month! Wings are big and good quality, not those cheap wings you see sometimes. I always get wings only because I can never turn away, but I know almost everything on the menu is legit form friends. Gorganzola/Pear salad is great as well.

This place does NOT disappoint! First time going and got the catfish Poe boy. Well done! They were very polite and care about there food. Will definitely be making another trip.

MEH. And I SO wanted this place to work, but it just didn't do it for me. This is my second attempt, to be fair. We did takeout. The first time I got the pulled pork sandwich (Great flavor, but missing smokiness) with the sweet potato fries (which I was totally excited for, but they were piled in a poly-type container and arrived under a mile away from the WIBS entrance soggy.) It was "okay," so we decided to give it another go tonight. My son got a Kids' Chicken Finger order. The menu offered no fruit option for side order, and the "chicken fingers" were two (2) slightly larger-than-average chicken nuggets. They arrived hot, but for the price, I was a bit disappointed. My husband and I got the wings. He got the Hot Buffalo(sauce on the side, only 1/2 full??) , I got the BBQ, which was not far off from commercially bottled barbecue sauce, with a side of onion straws. The takeout packaging was nice, but the manner in which the food was packed in one container per order meant soggy fries and rubbery onion straws (which were a little lacking in flavor and a bit too floury). Also, the cole slaw was shredded cabbage with mayo. To their credit, the wings were really meaty and tasty enough. But with competition like the Wegman's Wing Bar (which I feel is a good value for quality and price) and Phamous Phils (five thumbs up, if you can imagine that!), I really hope WIBS stays in it long enough to raise the bar and kick it up a notch. The heart of Collegeville/U.Prov needs a good food place, I hope WIBS is just off to a rough start.

After seeing a few good reviews, I decided to try the "WIBBER" burger. Pretty good with a side of giant sweet potato wedges. The burger is decent as are the wedges, but I suggest eating the sweet potato fries soon after you receive them so that they don't get soggy. Will have to go back to try a few other items on the menu, including their wings.

I love this family owned business. My office is close to WIBS and we have ordered office lunches from them on several occasions. The ribs AND wings are amazing! The owner and chef, Mark was incredibly helpful in helping me to decide how much to order for the office as well as what to order. The salads are delicious too as well as the French fries. It is a small place, so if you have a crowd, definitely order take out.

I love wings. However, I've been disappointed with many wing places I've come across. The wings at wibs were absolutely fantastic. They were crispy fried and plenty of meat on the bone. I tried the habanero sauce and despite my experience with punishingly spicy foods, I was reduced to tears fighting through the spice. Don't get me wrong though, it was glorious. I also tried the sweet teriyaki and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and brought out our food quickly. I will definitely come again.

  • Joe C.

The blandest ribs I've ever had. I knew up front there was no smoker on site but thought that maybe there was a chance they were smoked off site and brought in. Nope - right out of the oven. Maybe I needed to try something other than the JK Original. The wings were criminally undersauced. I don't care if you've been open 2 weeks or 2 years there's simply no excuse. Service was very slow - they seemed understaffed in the kitchen. That however was the least of my concerns. Not sure I'll give this another try. Will wait to see other reviews.

The food here is DELICIOUS. They make everything from scratch and it shows. The sauces are fantastic and there are a lot of options. I would highly recommend Wibs.

One word; amazing. This is top notch BBQ. Best selection of gourmet wig flavors and rubs. The ribs are to die for. The chef told me that they are slow cooked for many hours. They meat just slides right off the bone. My mouth salivates just thinking about it. This establishment is always clean. Even the kitchen is spic and span. Restrooms are very clean, they offer a wet naps at the table, and take-out. The owners and staff are extremely friendly. If you ever want to try any new sauces, they are happy to bring out a sauce sampler. Most importantly, go hungry.

I've driven by Wibs so many times the past few years, I wish it hadn't taken us so long to try it out. We ate here for the first time last night and it was fantastic! Everyone in our family tried something different, ribs, wings, and burgers, and we all loved our food. Their BBQ sauce is great as well as their wing sauces, some of the wing sauces are quite hot. The regulate french fries were crispy and their sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had, super fresh and the dipping sauces for the sweet potato fries were really good. The burger was one of the best I've had, very fresh beef and bun. As other reviewers noted, the people working here are very nice and willing to answer all questions about their sauces and let you sample the sauces.

I am in love with their wings. I use to work close by and this would be my Friday go to lunch. I get either their buffalo hot sauce or the sweet hottie which reminds me of a general Tso sauce. I love their bleu cheese dressing it's one of the best around. I still try to get wings here about once a month. The onion straws are amazing as well. I have never had any of their other items simply because these are the best wings around. Maybe one day I will try something different.

outstanding! My wife and I brought our son to try Wibs after hearing so many coworkers at Lowes rave about it... it was not a let down! Ribs were great! Wings were great! and The Devil Dusted Fries are not only very creative, but gives Chickie and Petes Crab fries (our personal fav!!) a run for their money. i highly recommend this little hot spot to anyone sick of the same old and want to give your taste buds a run for their money! Great service, great food, great prices!

  • Joe B.

Absolutely amazing! The wings were the best I've had in years as they were very meaty, slightly crispy, and coated in just the right amount of tangy buffalo sauce. But what made my dining experience was the pulled pork sandwich. Although the menu says "Memphis style pulled pork", the pork is actually done in Eastern Carolina style where it's finely chopped and accompanied with a vinegar-based BBQ sauce. As a native of Eastern NC, I was more than pleasantly surprised at the authenticity of the sandwich. I even asked the hostess if anyone in the kitchen was from North Carolina (the answer was no but the head chef apparently studied with someone from NC and obtained the pork BBQ recipe from him). The only thing about the sauce I'd change would be to add a little less pepper but in the overall taste of the sandwich, the pepper was negligible. If anyone out there wants a taste of what real Carolina BBQ is like and you're not headed to the Tarheel State anytime soon, head on over to WIBS and order the pork BBQ sandwich because you won't be disappointed. And don't be surprised if you see me in line ordering the same thing!

The food is good, but it is way too slow. They should really hire another cook or two.

Gave this place a try because I love me some BBQ. Their pulled pork sandwich was large but left me with a sick feeling in my stomach. You know the kind that you feel after you ate something dripping in grease. The wings weren't much better. Gotta say the slaw was probably the best I've ever had. Maybe they should change the name to Slaw's.

  • Kevin H.

Excellent food all around. Their pork and chicken is amazing. They also give you huge quantities. My favorite menu item from here though has to be the wings. They cook the wings perfect and their buffalo sauce is good. My only complaint about them is the price. Its close to $10 for 12 wings. The wings are really good but I don't know if they are $10 good each time I go there. The service was also excellent and the wait time for the food was very minimal. I will definitely be frequenting this place.

Best wings in the area--- lightly breaded with daily sauce specials. I've been to anchor bar and duffs in buffalo new York - these are full of flavor like these legendary establishments but less greasy. Try these guys!!

  • Kevin P.

Ugh. My wife and I had the wings and ribs. While the wings were nice and juicy, the ribs were borderline disgusting. It was almost like they were boiled and had a slight gamely taste. I expect better of a place that has ribs in its name. The ribs at Texas Roadhouse are much better.

every time i've eaten here, the food has been top notch! the service is excellent too, even when they're busy. best wings in the area, easily! :)

Went to this place tonight for the first time and WOW it was amazing! We had no idea what to expect when walking in and we will absolutely be back, what a little hidden gem!! We had the pull pork, taranchula wings, sweet hottie wings, sweet potato fries etc and everything was SO good. We were expecting the average frozen sweet potato fries, but these things were amazing, completely homemade from sweet potatoes and they were huge, also the dipping sauces for the fries were all homemade and delish! Also, the customer service was so pleasant, the woman working the front counter was so sweet and helpful! I cant say enough about how much we loved this place, just go and see for yourself!

I'm updating this review because the people are really nice, which goes a long way with me. But, this is only my second time going in like 3 years. I went recently because I was craving BBQ, specifically babyback ribs. Wibs needs to produce more tender, falling off the bone babyback ribs for me to give them a higher rating. Also, they don't offer cornbread. Maybe it's just me, but cornbread is a required side with BBQ. I literally brought some in a baggie with me this last time because I knew from my first trip that they don't have it. I don't bake... But I made some jiffy cornbread no problem. Cornbread should be an automatic and complimentary side in addition to what comes with the order already. IMHO, cornbread is as necessary when eating BBQ as the BBQ sauce.

The owners are fantastic and really care about their customers! Everything on the menu is delicious too. Make sure you ask for/try the chipotle chicken ranch wrap ( on the spicy side). Their salads are awesome and they come in sizes to split or feed a crowd!

Wibs has pretty decent food. It would be nice if they had a more diverse menu however.

For ~$20 I got a dozen wings and a half rack of ribs. They let me split the wings between two sauces (bbq and teriyaki) and I went with the JK original flavor for the ribs. With both entrees you get free cole slaw and choice of side dish, I opted for the sweet potato fries and onion straws. Service was on the slow side which I see others have mentioned. I was not in a hurry but considering the place was empty (another couple and a family came in after me) I can not leave that detail out. Thankfully, Wibs offers free beverage refills to pass the time and I was happy to pour over the menu in anticipation. The kitchen staff bought our food to the table and explained the three sauces which accompany the sweet potato fries. The fries themselves were fresh cut and very good, especially with the unique sauces (lemon pepper, paprika, and white bbq). The onion straws were also really good. The cole slaw was crisp, fresh, and flavorful. Wibs could benefit from a larger selection of sides, but what few they do make, they make well. On to the entrees. The wings were large, well done but not overdone. Both flavors were great, with no shortage of sauce coverage but not to the point of being overly messy. The teriyaki were a nice balance of sweet yet salty, the bbq flavored wings were tangy, but not overly spicy. The menu board had a few daily special flavors that I would like to come back and try but I would definitely get both the teriyaki and bbq again. The ribs were tender and well cooked. I think I may enjoy the bbq wing sauce on the ribs more than the JK original next time... not that the JK wasn't good, I just prefer a more conventional bbq sauce. That being said, I would absolutely come back again, possibly ordering ahead to avoid the wait. I try to support non franchise restaurants whenever possible and Wibs is definitely a place that I can see becoming a regular stop for those who venture past the Providence Town Center from rt 422.

Just went here for the first time on Monday, and I was blown away. First things first - everyone with their complaints about the fact that they don't smoke the ribs. They don't. They are PROUD that they don't. Mark (the owner) wants people to taste the flavor of the meat, rather than the smokey cover-up. While smoke is just fine with me, these ribs are by no means lacking any aspect necessary for a quality rack of ribs. The owner was amazingly friendly, letting my girlfriend and I sample every flavor of sauce he uses on the wings, explaining his history in the food business, and making us feel genuinely welcomed. As for the wings- you could spend hours in there trying out the unbelievable flavors they create here, on the crispy breaded wings. It's all about the sauce in this place. The wings are as addictive as they are delicious. We also got an order of their sweet potato fries, again, served with three house made sauces. They obviously make these fresh, as they retained their form after spending a night in the fridge. Absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the Collegeville/Phoenixville/Anywhere area, as it's great food at a very reasonable price. I look forward to many trips back here.

There's a HUMONGOUS elephant in the lobby of this place! I knew it the second I walked in. No smoke smell. I asked about how the ribs and other meats were prepared. The owner proudly stated that they were "dry rubbed and then slowly baked in the oven". Seriously? Then they take the ribs and prepare them 3 different ways for serving (meaning post oven-roasting seasoning). They consider KC style being slathered with an awfully sweet sauce. I have no idea where they got that idea. Well...anyway, I was there and had a BBQ craving, so I ordered. I asked for a ribs and wings (hot, buffalo style) platter. I got slaw, onion strings and sweet potato for sides. It took 15 minutes. I guess it takes that long to prepare/fry the sweet potatoes? Not sure. Or maybe, possibly...they were reheating the refrigerated ribs in a microwave. I suspect both. The ribs really were flavorless and I ordered the spicy style. My friend ordered the KC style (please...they taste nothing like the numerous KC BBQ joints I visited during my 10 years in KC). The ribs tasted exactly like they were cooked in an oven; bland. Not worth my time nor money. The wings were a criminal joke. They were simply frozen breaded wings that were fried and then tossed in a mild sweet/hot sauce that had a hint of bbq sauce flavor. I ordered "HOT Buffalo style". I got something more along the lines of a chicken mcnugget with bones. C'mon people! Another guest ordered a Mediterranean wrap. Now that was tasty... over priced, but tasty! My daughter had some chicken salad; bland. Luckily she was able to spice it up with one of the homemade dipping sauces that were served with my order. The homemade dipping sauces were good! Too bad there wasn't more. The counter service was very friendly. The menu was confusing. The food prep was slow considering there were only 2 other dining parties in the place. Well, we tried it. In the process dropped over $45. Not happy. Won't return.

Extremely friendly service. I walked in to order takeout for the first time and I left feeling like I had just chatted with old friends. Taco salad was awesome. Wings are good. I got mild buffalo sauce. I think next time I'll get a different wing sauce because the chicken was fantastic but the buffalo sauce wasn't my favorite. Can't wait to try the ribs!

I had heard good things about Wibs, so I decided to give it a try for my Superbowl wings. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed. I show up on time to get the wings at a prearranged time and they were not ready. I had to wait about another 20 minutes to get them, which is frustrating when you are having a party and trying to get home in time to set up, etc. There were lots of other people waiting as well, so I assume their schedule was just off. The people working seemed really overwhelmed and flustered, which did not add to the experience. The quality of the wings I also thought was a bit off. I ordered 50 of one type and 25 of another type. Neither me or my guests could tell the difference between buffalo hot wings and honey bbq, which leaves me wondering if we were given the correct wings and/or if all the flavors just taste the same. Overall, I felt "wibbed" off ordering here and will not be back.

I would have to agree with most reviews here. Ribs, eh-so so. Service is awesome! They are super friendly, I felt like we were old friends. The wings may just be the best I ever had.

Really enjoyed my ribs wings combo. Ribs were delicious. Wings were meaty and very tasty. I especially liked the way that the ribs maintained their pork flavor enhanced by the flavor of their excellent sauce. Prices were reasonable. The restaurant was clean and the staff friendly. I have eaten at many of the restaurants in the area. This is one I can enthusiastically recommend.

  • Don N.

I go to this place a few times a month for work. The favorites with us are the wings and the cajun chicken sandwich. Sauce is more sweet then spicy which some people may not like; my girlfriend hated it but I think its one of the best I've tasted. A bit high in price; $9 for a dozen wings with fries; but I find it to be worth it occasionally. During the week it gets really busy around noon so it might be a good idea to call ahead your order.
