I love the food, I hate the seating! My favorite is the Jambalaya, spicy and hearty. Salads, meatloaf and Sandwiches are all great. It's about the food and Riley's is in the top 5 of Huntington .

F.H. Riley's is my "go to" joint in Huntington. My husband and I love walking to town and stopping by for a few drinks and a great meal. Every friend and family member we've brought there has raved about the great time they had. We also love the take-out and curbside pickup options.

I've been to the restaurant many times but it had been awhile. Finally went for lunch with a friend. Sat at the bar for a couple of drinks before getting a table. We enjoyed sitting at the bar so we decided to eat lunch there. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Rolls and Mac and Cheese. Always dynamite! The staff was great. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon!

Last night was my second time dining at F.H Riley's and once again I was very pleased. The menu has something for everyone with many healthy options, especially for vegetarians like myself. The salads are well portioned and delicious! Can't go wrong with the calamari or the veggie quesadilla either, however; the fish and chips is my absolute favorite! One of the best fish and chips I've ever tasted. Riley's is one of my favorite spots in Huntington it never disappoints. Looking forward to going back!

Strolled upon this nice bar/restaurant while walking in Huntington. They have a few tables for outdoor dining. Enjoyed an amazing cocktail called the Riley's 75! For appetizers the Crackling Calamari is a must! Prob the best calamari iv had in a while. Also got the mussels which were delicious and fresh. As well as the fishermans sandwich! I would definitely recommend this place for drinks or food! Very impressed

Brett, thanks so much for the prompt and heartfelt response. Best of luck on the baby, as well. I can only imagine how difficult it is to run a restaurant and to have to monitor social media as well. I'm glad you recognize that my review was an honest appraisal of our experience. You really have a great thing going and your reputation is well-deserved. All the best.

I tried to respond directly to the owner's response to my review, couldn't work for some reason. He is bullying me on Facebook. This is why I called the worker a moron: He was in my face every 5 minutes - "I'm sorry, this is my first day, I'm sorry, Can I help you? What do you need? I'm sorry" Woudn't anybody be annoyed at someone if they were in your face every 5 minutes? I had no idea he was mentally challenged. It was not intentional, I don't know him personally. Don't people use slang? - "Hey, you are such a moron, for this or that." I'm done, that is all I have to say. I will also say this on Facebook.

Here's another restaurant that I would like to give 3.5 stars to because generally speaking I always had good service here and reasonable quality food. Their bread and hummus dip that they give you complimentary is very good. However, things like their $13 salad is way too small for the price and not enough "things in it" to justify the cost. They do have a good selection on tap but do not change it around enough... I hardly ever go here now that Sapsuckers has opened. If they made their beer selection a little more "craft" oriented I would consider coming back. I do like that it is a family owned restaurant with a lot of the family involved as well as friends of the family. Vegans: You'll be limited to a salad here or a couple of entrees that can be modified without the cheese.

Fries were great (regular and sweet potato) however chicken was smothered in oil and honey sauce.. Burger was ok but the fixings were great.. Good as a one time meal but not sure if I would be back

Always good food. Fresh. Clean restaurant. Had the Thai calamari and salmon pita. Hubby had the Mac & cheese with skirt steak. His FAVORITE! Never had dessert here but it looks good. Wine and beer selections aplenty! Heard the upstairs lounge isn't going to open. Guess Huntington town is, once again , making small businesses jump through hoops to no avail. Heard they did that to The Shack too. What happened to small businesses?? :(

Riley's is def a step up in class from most of the dives in Hton. The bartenders are nice and chat it up with ya when it's not too crowded. There aren't an overwhelming number of taps but they usually manage to sneak 3-4 unique brews in there (always a Blue Point or two). The place can def get crowded on Fri and Sat nights so come early or be prepared to wait for a little. On the food side of things, people talk a lot about the Mac n cheese, which is really good but it's a HUGE portion. I suggest rocking a side order of it for the table with your dinner. Sliced steak sandwiches and the blackened chicken sandwiches are BOMB and served with crunchy lil shoestring fries. The gumbo and the skirt steak are also very good dinners here. For starters hit the spinach dip, calamari (awesome soy/ginger dipping SAWse), and the spring rolls to get your fried on. Riley's is a great place to grab a bite and a brew before hitting the town. Hell, it's even nice enough take a date here (if she pays). Tip: Grab a side of Tabasco onion fritz. They are addicting. Ramooone (sorry, had to do it)

A really nice place I went here with the wife before a concert at the Paramount . The nacho soup was extremely tasty.. We both order the fish and chips and we not dissatisfied ... Yum.!!! However the icing on the cake was their Guinness float ... Super yummy .we will be back

Riley's has improved since my last visit!! Chris the bartender was excellent, they were open late which has been a change from the past, attentive service, all that is needed is a late night bar menu, will be back!!

We just ordered lunch for the office from Rileys. Got the order right (not something that always happens at other places) and everyone liked their orders. People loved the Mac and Cheese. It was a delicious lunch.

Went there last night with boyfriend. What a very nice place. Only about 12 tables, First you walk through the small bar and then the restaurant. We started off with the calamari (little chewy). My boyfriend had the filet of sole stuffed with crambeat. He loved it. I have angel hair pasta with lobster, shrimp and huge Portobello mushrooms. Good service. Will be back!

We were one of three couples in the place and it still took them forever to take our drink order, get our drinks and takeout food order. The food was totally disappointing - the menu is fairly uninteresting pub food poorly executed, greasy and gross. They think the beer list is impressive. It isn't. Two stars for being clean and friendly.

Riley's came recommended by a foodie friend so I had high hopes. It was very busy the night we went in so I feel I have to go back before I really give a full review. Service was iffy, food had potential.

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants. I went the first week it opened years ago and I go back often. Brett, the owner, is a great chef and has a fantastic take on a modern American menu here. The desserts are homemade and delicious as well. Huntington has it's share of great restaurants, but this one is the best. If you find yourself in Huntington, linger longer and say hi to Gregg, Tony, and Jimmy.

AHHH Riley's. The go to place when I don't know where to go. Never fails, always delivers. I hadn't been here in a while, and was pleasantly surprised, they have been working on the menu. We asked if they had some sort of chipotle mayo (they don't), but our waiter came back with something similar, or at least attempted some kind of special concoction for us! always have a nice experience here, have known some of the waitresses for a while, and you definitely get the family vibe around here. Wish they could expand upstairs as sometimes the room acoustics get kind of loud. steak tacos are my new fav, the lobster/shrimp wrap is awesome too.

Went out to dinner with wife and daughter, My daughter picked the dinner choice this time. The service was great, They were fast and friendly. I had the lemon Tilapia Francaise & a french onion soup. The soup and fish were both very good. i might in the future go back . I do recommend F.H. Rileys as long as you don't mind the horrendous parking issues in huntington.

A local favorite. Always a great meal, and incredibly consistent. Personal favorites include the Three Cheese Spinach Dip, Autumn Harvest Salad, Mac and Cheese, and Blackened Salmon Pita... although you really can't go wrong. We've been there for lunch, dinner, and happy hour at the bar and always get great service. A nice selection of beer on tap and various other types of beverages. Riley's also has outdoor seating during the warmer months - great for people watching and beautiful Huntington nights! As a side note - there is metered parking all throughout Huntington, and many municipal lots including behind the restaurant and another a few blocks down. Stop reading, go to Riley's!

  • Dee N.

I've been there a few times and I have yet to try something I didn't find delicious! It is a bit on the smaller side so I personally wouldn't enjoy going on a busy night (I hate waiting especially if there isn't a "waiting" area and the tables are pretty tight together) Overall tho I genuinely enjoy this place.

Food was awesome. I'll be dreaming of that chicken club for a very long time. Drinks sucked though - sangria and ritas. Stick to the food and go elsewhere for drinks.

Love this place, great food especially the gumbo. Very low key Gets crowded on the weekends, especially when there is a show at the Paramount. Only issue is the service can be inconstant, but that is a reflection of the place being packed.

Everything I have ever had at F.H. Riley's has been amazing. The food is so fresh, delicious and made to order. The bread with hummus is a better treat than bread with butter or oil. All of their salads are made with the best combinations of ingredients. The staff is attentive and friendly. It is definitely one of my top picks when going to Huntington Village for dinner.

FH Riley's hosted a luncheon for my friend's bridal shower. The most important thing is that the food was fantastic, especially the eggplant parm and everyone loved the champagne punch. It was a pleasure to work with KerriLynn, she was very helpful in filling in the details of the event and moving things along so that it ended within the amount of time that we rented. The service was really wonderful and our bride-to-be had a great time. Hope to return for casual eats!

Huntington seems to be the culinary epicenter of Long Island and F.H. Riley's is likely one of the reasons why. I've been wanting to eat here for years now, as I've been a long-time listener of the Opie & Anthony show. The name of the restaurant sounds like it's just another restaurant pub that serves bar food, but I assure you it's not. We started off with the calamari, which was generous in serving size and perfectly crisp and had lots of flavor. The hubby had fish & chips which was a plate full of fried goodness. The real standout was the Bistro Burger. It was simple (I'm a purist when it comes to my burgers...no weird toppings for me), the meat was juicy and flavorful, and HUGE (I could only eat half). I also cannot say enough great things about the service. Everyone that worked there was friendly and welcoming. Our server was really helpful about recommending items since it was our first time there. I will definitely be returning to try more of their menu items!

Who knew? I must have passed F.H. Riley's 100 times and never even looked in the windows until last weekend when it was an hour wait at Besito we decided to give them a try. Thank God we did! It was excellent and completely surprising! Started with the Crunchy Chicken Spring Rolls which were absolutely loaded with big chunks of chicken. My wife had Grecian Salad and I had Sliced Steak Sandwhich with a side of Mac & Cheese. The portions are large, the food is fresh and delicious and its extremely affordable. On top they've got a great selection of beers which is the icing on the cake for me. Stop in, you wont be disappointed!

I love this place but I had such an awful delivery experience tonight. I placed an order and when I asked a total and how long it would be, the girl said she'd called right back. After 25 minutes and not hearing back, I called again. Was told it would be 45 minutes from then and it was $50 something, which I questioned because it seemed high and the guy then preceded to read me the wrong order. When he realized there was 2 orders under the same name, he started reading the correct order, except the salad size was wrong (no mistake on my end, but made by the girl on the phone) As this was being figured out, the server arrived at my house with the food. When I explained what was going on (all while he impatiently waited telling me the restaurant was busy) the gentleman on the phone told me to return the food and it would be corrected. Seriously???? It's now been over an hour and the food is at my house... The salad size was incorrect so instead of apologizing and leaving the bigger salads with no extra charge, he says it has to be returned. When the food finally came back, without an apology from the guy delivering or anyone via phone, the pasta was the original order which had been brought previously and was now cold. Such a disappointment and handled so poorly. Not at all what I would have expected. I understand its a busy Saturday night, but being in the restaurant business myself, I know for a fact that it should have been handled completely differently.

Wonderful food, good drink prices, a place that can't be beat. I enjoyed the buffalo chicken spring rolls, my friend Fred from Brooklyn enjoyed the crackling calimari. I highly reccomend F.H. Reilly's

Sunday nights, all you can eat pasta. For 15$. Very good pasta, three different choices or pasta type with over 10 or so different sauces. You can add mini meatballs etc.... Get the eggplant Milanese, the fra diavlo, the carbonara and the Mac n cheese. The salmon sandwich is pretty awesome. The bolognese in General is always offered and it's really good. They say on the menu that the bolognese is made from sirloin. It's definitely not. There are huge chunks of sausage the last few times, so I asked our server if it was sausage and not sirloin, they confirmed it was after asking the kitchen! I don't really enjoy the false advertising of the dish, but the flavor was there, even though I didn't intend on ordering sausage bolognese ( because I actually dislike that fennel taste of certain pork sausages), it was tasty.

3 Stars for Riley's.... Reason being is. The food is excellent. I do enjoy the humus plate they give you before your meal. I like that there side dishes are huge sweet potato fries, fried zucchini, mac & cheese. The macaroni & Cheese is just straight up awesome, I do recommend ordering it as a side because the full portion is too big and a very heavy dish. It must have about 4-5 different cheese's in it which is what make it famous. The Wedge Salad is exactly what a Wedge should be. They have a lot of fun salads and do change it up seasonally like the Autumn Harvest Salad. If you order items such as Steak, Meatloaf or other pasta dishes I would be lying if I said it wasn't good because its all just delicious. The food here is no joke! The biggest issue I do have with Riley's is the service. Its such a busy little restaurant with such awesome food but hardly any Waiters. The food gets out fast enough but it be an issue here and there depending on how busy they are... Great Place! Really, one of the best places to go for Lunch & Dinner if your out and about in Huntington Village.

Went here for the first time last week and was blown away. Heard about this place from a friend and will def be returning soon. Food and service were both wonderful. Our waiter was personable, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. He helped us narrow down our food and drink choices as literally everything looks reallllly good. They got some yummy beers on tap, i couldn't resist a dogfish 60 min ipa and my wife had a coconut martini maybe?. We ended up sharing the calamari for an appetizer, then the meatloaf and gumbo for entrees. Everything was amazing and the portions were huge. Tables are pretty close together but overall this place is a gem.

Had a delicious dinner here last night (September 14.) My date had the Chicken Gorgonzola. The chicken was moist, the sauce was yummy, and the side of freshly cooked spinach was nicely seasoned. I had the Tilapia Francese - it was incredible. The batter was nicely done, the sauce had the right amount of tartness, and the fish was steaming hot when served. The sides of asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes were great, but the fish was soooo good I barely ate them. The only negative is that the tables are very close together, resulting in a noise level that makes a quiet dinner conversation impossible. Maybe another night will be quieter than a Saturday.

This review is NOT about their food as I also did not stay long enough to try any of there food which was incredibly disappointing. ( I am the friend of the other reviewer who went to try this restaurant) I was looking forward to trying the food that fellow yelpers raved about but the initial service was horrible I had to walk out. Just a quick background on my experience with this restaurant....many times I have come by to eat lunch here on a Monday and always walked away confused because outside of their door their hours state that they are open Mondays 11:30am-10:00pm and I'm looking inside and it's dark.... I tried to call the phone number and no answer of course and then when I tried to reach out on their FB page I received some smart remark that they have a note posted that their hours change seasonably or something along those lines.... Anyways I will just stay away from this place from now on. Any service from this place was a bad experience. Guess its just not meant to be. But I won't cry haha there are plenty of restaurants with delicious American food in Huntington village with personable service. Your loss Rileys!

Tried Riley's new specials the other night, (recommended by a younger, but very knowledgable employee who although wasn't my waiter, made my night service wise), and absolutely fell in love! We frequent Riley's and can't remember them ever doing specials before, but they were a great addition! Will definitely be back for more sometime soon.

The food is surprisingly better than the appearance of the place would suggest! Yum. The sliced steak sandwich w/ mushrooms is great. Salads here are good also and healthier. You can sit outside in the summer which makes it better still.

This place has a GREAT sliced steak sandwich, good burgers and fries, and good chopped salads. Actually, everything I have ordered has been good. Curb-side pickup and delivery make FH Riley's a standout. The only reason I would not give it 5 stars is that every time I actually go there to eat, service is slow and the dining room is a little too noisy.

    (4)

Wow! The food is great! Service is wonderful! I highly recommend the wings and Baja salad. Mmm mmm mmm

  • Amber S.

There's really nothing negative to be said about this place, except maybe its size. The food is awesome. We had the calamari-INCREDIBLE. and the chicken spring rolls-great!! I had a salad for dinner, definitely didn't need the full for the meal after apps, probably would've been okay with the side or half size. Everyone loved their meals, our group had the steak sandwich, California salad, meatloaf and Napoleon salmon. Everyone cleared their plates. Great meal and great service.

I have eaten at F.H. Riley's a couple of times and it is consistent every time. Although service can be a little bit slow, the food is great. My favorite is the shrimp and lobster BLT. They also serve hummus to start, which is a nice touch. My only suggestion would be to change the fries! They are awful after 5 minutes of being on the table!

    (4)
  • Franco C.

Still cooking We popped in for a few drinks and snacks and were happy to see that the place is still humming. Food is still damn good and everyone at the bar initially had a ball listening to some crazy heroin-chic couple who clearly didn't care how loud they were- or that they were discussing the innermost workings of her girl parts... It became cringe worth after that... Oddball customers aside- you should absolutely go! You'll be happy you did.

Here are the basics: Nice, small bar up front, nice decor. Casual. Older crowd -- 40s mostly. Always crowded around 7-8 on the weekends. The menu is huge and they have a rather large specialty beer list. The food is all very good, if not spectacular. Worth a visit, for sure.

This is a nice pub in Huntington Village. I recently visited on a Saturday night. Every table was full and there were quite a few people at the bar as well. Despite a reservation and arriving early, there was a 45 minute wait for a table. While waiting, I noticed they had ~10 beers on tap, I ordered the Spaten Oktoberfest. They also have 2 flatscreens in the bar area, football was on this evening. Once seated, we ordered the mussels appetizer (tasty broth). They also served bread with hummus. For my meal, I had the ribeye steak, which was served with asparagus. And I swapped the fried for mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked to the right temp, but it was smothered in this brown cheesy sauce. It was not what I was expecting, but after a while I got used to it. I was not truly impressed with this place, but it was decent enough to give it another shot.

Riley's is great! Amazing food, good service, and reasonable prices. Granted, I have never been there on a weekend so I cannot account for the noise level on those nights, but it never gets too loud there on weekdays. Great place for groups; order a bunch of dishes and share. Burgers, fries, mac and cheese, even salads are all delicious. Go!

I have been here for numerous Opie and Anthony events and even when during those times of the occasional debauchery , the food and service shines very brightly. Got a chance to come back for lunch and was "WOW" ed even more. Started out with the Mozzarella Tower which consists of Arugula , grilled veggies and drizzled with a warm roasted tomato vinaigrette. This app is simplistic but it works so well and was outstanding. Also ordered a 1/2 size Asian Crunch Salad. I have become in recent years a fanatic for a good Asian salad although looking at me , you might have a had time believing that. Brett's interpretation of execution of this salad is so amazing , you can eat it w/o the dressing and it would be awesome. I had the dressing on the side so I can taste the salad on its own. The dressing is light but packed with layers of flavor. Decided on the classic Fish and Chips, which came with 2 good sized pieces of fish battered in a Ale and fried lightly. Fish was outstanding , I would put at a close second next to Salt & Battery in NYC which says a lot. It comes with a Cucumber Cole slaw and a Malt Aioli for dipping. I am not usually a fan of anything cucumber but have to give them props to making this slaw even better. Overall my experience was above average on many levels, the staff is always attentive, helpful and friendly. Only issue is a common one , parking is always an issue usually anytime in the village. Next time I am back on LI, I look forward to paying them another visit.

I love this place. Great for lunch or a late night dinner. The Harvest Salad with blackened chicken and the Meatloaf are amazing! The only negative thing I can say is never get delivery! Their system is terrible and it takes 90 mins to two hours sometimes especially if they are busy.

The first time i ever tried this place, it was about 2:30 on a weds afternoon, walked in sat down right away and was enjoying the cool breeze coming threw the open windows. My parents and I couldn't believe we have never been here before! The food was so yummay.. we devoured the spinach dip that the owner asked us if we wanted him to bring us more! The Mac & cheese is delish, I actually never had a bad meal there or experience. I always called it huntingtons best kept secret, i felt it wasnt getting the recognition it deserved up until maybe the last year or so. If you looking for a relaxed atmosphere fair prices and delish food, this is your place! Every time I go I cant wait to go back again :)

Great place to sit and have dinner. The all you can eat pasta night here (not sure if they still do it) is great, everything is made to order and the quality is high. If you are looking to get away from the dank pubs the standard fare, check this place out.

Wonderful Food and Service.... We had lunch there on a chilly day in December. The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting. The menu is so varied that everyone in our group of 5 found something they loved on it. Meatloaf, mac and cheese, lobster bisque, delicious fries, great salads. All for a great price, with accomodating, attentive service. Oh, and you can get half portions of most items which for me is perfect (or get a full portion and take some home for later). I intent to make this a regular stop now that I discovered this gem in Huntington. Highly recommend Riley's. You'll feel at home there.

F.H. Riley's definitely has some of the best food around, I absolutely love it all!!! Brett the owner/chef really knows what he is doing in the kitchen. He cooks everything perfectly and its all so good. The prices are pretty reasonable considering the quality of the food. The bar atmosphere is really cool too. I have been there for just dinner on a Saturday night or for a huge party on St Pat's and had a great time under all ocassions. I defintiely recommend it highly, I just wish they were closer to me so I could go more often!!!

The first time I took a bite of the mac and cheese I was absolutely hooked. This was clearly no ordinary restaurant, this is a place with character and real characters working there. From the bartenders to the wait staff, and even Brett the chef himself all help make for a great atmosphere. It doesn't end there, when you sit down they bring you over some rich humus to have with your bread and to tide you over until the appetizers and entrees arrive. The restaurant is a little snug but not too crowded. For appetizers I highly recommend the Buffalo Chicken Spring Rolls, the Mac and Cheese, the Hangar Steak is one of my favorite dishes, and there is no way I can forget their absolutely amazing char-grilled burgers. Easily my favorite well-cooked burger of any local place, served with crispy fingerling potatoes it's a truly great experience all around. The bartenders are well talented and make some great mixed drinks with theatrical flair. While not exactly exotic I love their black and tans.

My family and I went to FH Riley's on a Friday night to celebrate my boyfriend separating from the military/getting a new job as well as our return to the east coast. We were there a little early for dinner which was great because we beat the Friday night crowd. Since my dad had gotten their earlier than us i found him at the bar chatting it up with a very lovely man who gave some great menu tips. The jambalaya was incredible! Once the whole party arrived we were seated by a very polite hostess. The drinks came fast and were perfectly poured. We ordered the buffalo chicken egg rolls as well as the calamari for appetizers. I couldn't believe how incredible the calamari was. The flavor was incredible and the dipping sauce was perfect! It's been a few weeks since we were there and I'm still dreaming of it. Their menu had a huge assortment of deliciousness! I ordered the highly acclaimed Mac and Cheese with Lobster Meat and i ordered the full portion because who doesn't love leftovers for lunch the next day or in this case the next 2 days. While it was way more food than I could eat I was glad to have a hefty portion to take home. We had such a great night, but it was even better when Pepper the manager came over and told us the bill was on him because they appreciated my boyfriends service in the Air Force. How incredible is that?!? Pepper was such a nice person and we still talk about how we can't believe they did that for all of us. I was also thankful for my Dad's big mouth since he was the one who mentioned to the waiter why we were celebrating that evening. We will definitely be returning here on our future trips to NY. This was one of the best dining experiences I've had.

This place is ridiculous. The mac and cheese, the buffalo chicken spring rolls are insane. All the food is fresh. My girlfriend loves the salads. Great atmosphere, really friendly service. Went there for St. Patty's a couple of years ago and had a blast. Too bad I live in shitty miami now, but this is truly a gem.

I love the mac and cheese and the chicken spring rolls. I find myself craving the food here more often than not. The hamburgers are amazing and you have to come for the corned beef and cabbage during St Patrick's day. There is something for everyone on the menu. Great wait staff. Very friendly.

Great place, small "pub" like atmosphere and great food. Non-locals beware: this place is NOT a few blocks from the LIRR train station like the guy from Brooklyn noted in a few previous posts - it's 1.5 miles away (the 4 minute quote on Mapquest is DRIVE time, not walk, trust me!) and yes, you'll need a taxi to get there - or you could walk down in 30-40 minutes, but you'll want a taxi to come back up the steep hill after you've eaten the mac & cheese. :) Taxi should run you $10 one way (LI taxis are more expensive than NYC taxis).

Really great salads. And a good beer selection. Ambiance is a leaves a little be desired; but you'll be too busy enjoying the food to notice.

Food seems like it has gone downhill. Heavy on the regular crowd. Not a place to try to watch sports, but they don't claim to be.

Food is very good. Service is technically good but not friendly. Meatloaf is excellent. Prices are reasonable.

My doctor's office is nearby; I had gone there because I wasn't feeling so great the past few days. I needed some lunch, so I decided to stop by here after reading the reviews raving about the mac and cheese. I ordered it, and it was totally not what I expected. It had a cheesy, creamy sauce with tomatoes and bacon and breadcrumbs sprinkled on top. It wasn't baked in the oven, but it was still yummy regardless. I chatted with the bartenders during the entire time, they were SO friendly!

Great Food, Excellent Value. Eat in or Take-out, I have become a regular. This place covers it all, and does it well. Half portions are an excellent compromise to a full meal!

Very good place for lunch and dinner i love there mac and cheese dish and if you wanna take the train to to huntington then all you have to do is walk a couple of blocks to FH no need to get ripped off by the taxi drivers at the LIRR station

FH's is a great local bar/restaurant but lends it self really well to a great spot to get some great food. The menu is constantly changing with the seasons and the atmosphere inside is that of a cool bar with a non pretentious nice place to grab a bite. I love going here for lunch which has been consistently excellent. Dinner here is always good, served by a good staff and not overpriced. It's definitely a place to give a shot to if you have to already yet!

This place has great food. Been there a few different times and liked it each time. My only complaint is the noise level, the bar and restaurant are one big room so I could barely hear my husband over the crowd at the bar. We'll definitely go back, just not on a Saturday night.

Great upscale pub. Rileys is on our "A" list of places to go when we don't know where to go. Consistently good food in all price ranges. The last time I went I got an enormous delicately prepared piece of fish francese served over mashed potatoes and breaded asparagus. Delicious! Could not finish it all so intended to take the rest home but half-way thru the meal, the enormous wine list that was propped against the wall at the end of the table fell onto my full glass of wine and into my plate. The staff could not have been more attentive...rushing over to clean, clear, get me a new glass of wine and a whole new meal! If you're looking for a quiet, this may not be for you. But, if you're looking for a pleasant staff, great food, fair prices in a nice atmosphere, Rileys fits the bill!

We had an early dinner on a Saturday night and really enjoyed the food at F.H. Riley's. Our dinners, fish and chips for me and a rib eye steak for my husband, were both generous portions. The fish was very fresh and the chips were nice and crisp (although a bit skinny) .My husband was very satisfied with the way his steak was cooked and the awesome fingerling fries. I think this was one of the best fish and chips I've had. The place got filled up pretty quickly with couples, families, groups of friends. It had a nice pub vibe where people get together for a good meal and drinks.

Moving to Cincinnati, I am definetly going to miss my nights at F.H. Rileys. Try the "Crackling Calamari" (even if you're not a calamari fan), its legendary. Also, the Meatloaf is the best Meatloaf i ever had. The booze flows on the weekends, and its always a good time, incorporating a great bar with great food. And the cliental is good, not guido-y long island guys and trashy long island chicks, actually good decent people go there. Check it out

Love the food here. I've been coming here for years and the staff are always so friendly and have a smile on your face when you walk in. They remember who you are also and are quick to get you a refill. Chef Hughes is great in the kitchen and his wife has some surprises around the holidays with her desserts. Definitly a place to take the family or to relax after a hard days work. Little on the small side but its my understanding they are in the process of expanding so that will be great. Bar is usually crowded with that after-work crowd looking to relax. Try the salmon and the chocolate lava cake, you won't be disapointed. Prices are good too.

We usually eat in Huntington Village once a week. This place has great food, relativley cheap with generous portions. Decent beer selection, not as good as some of the other local places, but enough for everyones palate. We will be returning! ( We went on A Thursday, not very crowded, but I hear it draws a nice weekend crowd)

This place is a gem! Delicious food. Beautiful, comfortable and clean atmosphere. Attentive and extremely accomodating waitstaff. Warm focacccia and tasty hummus are brought to the table before you order, so good!! Drinks are good, large and fairly priced. Try the mac and cheese, gumbo, salads...all delicious. Salads are big, however too expensive.

My husband and i went here on a Saturday "date night." We didn't have a reservation, so we grabbed a couple of seats at the bar to wait. The bartender was really pleasant, and our wait wasn't too long. The overall atmosphere is slightly yuppy, but laid-back. Waitress was very nice and efficient. It was a bit loud (although it could have just seemed that way to a stay-at-home mom). The menu seemed to offer comfort-food with a twist. We took a chance on the spring rolls and were pleasantly surprised. The mac-n-cheese was very different and fantastic. All in all, a refreshing experience.

So this was my first time trying fh rileys From the beginning I had a bad taste in my mouth unfortunately due to the fact the girl on the phone was extremely rude and curt. I had ordered the steak sandwich with Zucchini and regular fries for pickup . Upon arriving the same girl had come out to bring me my food I had told her to have a good day and she simply walked away . . . Which bothered me even further Now about the food. The zucchini fries were not crisp , the regular fries were way over salted . The steak sandwich was over cooked and the bread was extremely soggy . Sad to say I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning

We have been dining at Riley's since we moved to Huntington years ago and what I love best is the consistency! It's always ahhmazing! The food, the staff and the ambiance is always awesome! But the other day I discovered something new---they have the best wings ever!!!!!! Seriously --look no further Huntington --the best wings in Huntington are right here @ FH Riley's! The Szechwan wings are my fav!! And they make a mean sangria!!!

Awful service at the bar. Happy hour drinks cost 10 dollars a piece and were far from worth it. I now know why Besitos right next door had a full house while this place was empty. Short blonde bartender gave me and my girlfriend an attitude for having a Fitbit and Iwatch. The one and only table that had ordered food sent one of the dishes back. Wouldn't go back if it was the last open bar in Huntington.

As bad as this place is, it's really confusing to me as to why it's so overcrowded all the time. I've been here twice, both times the wait staff didn't seem to know what their jobs were, and it takes way too long to get a drink or the check. The food was passable, but only just. Avoid this place at all costs, it's a miracle they've been open as long as they have.

Rileys is truly as good as it gets. You won't find a better American restaurant on Long Island. Everything on the menu is insanely delicious, to the point where it's kind of addictive. The type of delicious that just thinking about their soups, salads, sandwiches, gumbo, meatloaf, calamari, bolognese, steak (i can go on forever), etc. propels me into a state in which all time and space are suspended, and all that is left is pure euphoric, flavorful, mouthwatering bliss. Coming back to reality, some of my all-time favorites are the Autumn Harvest Salad, their soups of the day, Chicken Spring Rolls, Wings, Cali Chicken Club, Salmon Pita, Gumbo, Meatloaf, Steak Sandwich, and let's not forget their mac-n-cheese (easily the best within the entire cosmos). I should mention that all their desserts are homemade and freakin mind-boggingly scrumptious. I can't tell you how many times I go to a restaurant and have an awesome appetizer and entree and then the dessert is some defrosted bullshite probably shipped in from who-knows-where and it tastes like styrofoam and expired cottage cheese. Not so with Rileys, these desserts are ineffably delightful. Chocolate mousse cake, oreo cheesecake, key lime mousse torte, oh man. Everything is super fresh, and you can really taste the difference. The attention-to-detail and the flavors in all of the food and drinks are really exceptional. The prices are more than reasonable too, especially considering the quality of the food and the location. Lastly, the service is phenomenal. This is a true family-run business and it's evident through the personable, friendly, accommodating, and attentive service and staff members. They really go above and beyond and it's a pleasure. To top it off, being able to get take-out, curbside pick-up, or even delivery from Rileys is awesome and a far far better alternative to anywhere else I can think of who does take-out, let alone delivery. Rileys is a gem, can't wait til their new location opens!!!

I really loved this place, one of my favorite restaurants on the Huntington strip. I ordered the hippie juice for a pre-dinner drink, and it was so friggin good and refreshing. For dinner I ordered a salad, and that was pretty good as well. Great service, great ambiance, and great food for a good price. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a place to eat in Huntington.

Cute place in the village with excellent food, service, and prices. My boyfriend and I had the steak mac & cheese, crab cake, Autumn salad, and sweet potato fries and we loved all of it. Portions are large. Also their bbq sauce and the sauce that accompanies the bread basket are yummy. Their menu has a huge variety which I like at any restaurant. The bartenders are attentive even when juggling many different things. The bar has a couple of TVs but I can't imagine it being comfortable in there when there are sporting events on since the bar area is tiny. The place gets super packed on weekends so come early or make reservations if possible. We look forward to returning!

It was just eh. For starters my vodka martini was warm and therefore barely drinkable. The butternut squash soup was really good except for the extra large pieces of the squash that was in the bowl. how to eat them? Oh cut your soup with a knife, ok. My tilapia was standard. The strange thing was when my friend ordered the chicken wings, we were told that they would take at least 20 min before they came out. I will take NO THANKS for $500 Bob. Really?

I just realized my most recent review was only 4 stars... and well that is just OBVIOUSLY not up to date. My husband and I feel like FH Riley's is practically a part of our family. We don't get out to eat very often anymore (we have a 15 month old now) but FH Riley's catered my bridal shower, my rehearsal dinner and even hosted my son's christening. They've played a major role in so many of our most important events and have always exceeded our expectations. They treat you like family and they are easily one of our favorites for both special occasions as well as a quick lunch between errands. The fact that they deliver and have convenient take out options is AWESOME since we're a bit stuck at home these days... Don't just go out to eat here... join their family. They love their customers (except the nasty ones, which I have a ton of respect for because all too often restaurant owners sacrifice the well-being of their staff for customers' whims--but Riley's doesn't and their staff is awesome for it).

I was NOT expecting the food to be as good as it was. I've taken out food from here a few times for lunch. My go to was the grilled veggie salad with sliced steak on top. The veggies were fresh and HOT on crispy lettuce and dressing on the side. Half portion is PLENTY. It was hard for me to choose something else because I love that salad so much, but the other day I got the blackened Salmon pita with sweet potato stix. O. EM. GEE. It was one of those dishes that are so good, that you can't stop eating, but want to stop eating because you are getting so full, but you literally can't put it down...then after you're done, you feel like crap because you ate so much, but it was sooooo worth it. Does that happen to any one else?!?
