Before closing months back, the food was really good and the in service was great! Unfortunately, some times it hard to do a comeback. We ordered wings for delivery; it took over an hour to arrive, and we are less then 5 minutes away. The person taking the order, could not comprehend--placing the order should have been the first sign!!! When the order finally did arrive, (in my Gordon Ramsey voice) "the wings were raw"; we were loyal diners, both in restaurant and delivery--not any more! Hurrican is a waste, save the aggregation and taste buds, go to Candlelight instead!

Gave this place another try since redoing it and now I love it to bad it's not in a good location it's always dead inside. My boyfriend knows one of the waiters and he said all the waiters and waitresses Are always looking for new jobs bc it's so slow. It's a shame. I always gotten the boneless wings which are yummy garlic parm or Rosemary garlic are to die for. The garlic parm fries are delish and I always get a Virgin strawberry lemonade :)

Great place, everyone is very professionally and courteous....give this place 9-12 months and they will give all the local wing spots a run for their money. Btw the voodoo bucket is an awesome drink.

My first time here with my boyfriend and his friend and his wife. It was recommended from his friends sister and her husband who has been here before. First off I love the island feel in the place makes a cold winter evening feel a little warmer and definitely turns anyone's mood better. Not to mention there was parking! Unlike down the road.... Our waitress was awesome I forgot her name but she had very short hair and was also short. Great staff will set the tone! So good job there! We ordered a bunch of food. I remember the mango quesadillas were delicious. Some pork sliders. Which came 3 in an order. The apple bacon smoked burger was very good and cooked to order medium. The guys were happy because they had TVs for the games they wanted to watch on tv specifically football. When I saw that they had one near me on Long Island I will have to check out their wait and cook staff and see if compares!!

So glad they reopened! The same decor that we love...Delicious appetizers and entrees, friendly service and cold drinks. What more could you ask for? So many different varieties of wing sauce. Since it reopened, we have been back several times. What an improvement!! The waitresses/waiters are attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The wings are better than ever. I also recently tried an entree that was a cajun rice bowl with shrimp and mahi. The beers were so cold and refreshing. What a delight on a hot summer evening. Although I read the review regarding delivery from a month ago, I decided I would judge for myself. I am sure glad I did. It is now a favorite restaurant of ours.

First time here with a friend. Ordered parmesan garlic wings which were great. Although waiter was nice, service was pathetically slow. We asked for half and half for sauces and got charged extra which is just not right. Nice beachy decor inside. Will come back for the wings and hopefully service is better next time.

Reopened under new management. In my opinion, it should've stayed closed. The issue with the original restaurant was the high price for less than average food. The new ownership didn't change the menu structure, and so the hamburger with cheese and two toppings costs over $14. Plus another $2 for each side. I ordered a side of coleslaw, it came in a tiny container usually given free at all restaurants. $9.95 for the hamburger, and over $5 in add-ons including a side of coleslaw. Not really a side order but just a tiny plastic shot. The service staff was confused and not attentive. I was fortunate enough to sit next to the new owners. I listened as they discussed how they have invested in this for their son, and how they are going to correct all the things that are wrong with the restaurant. I found it very confusing that the owners of the restaurant weren't at least checking in with customers. Save yourself and go to Candlelight for wings and Rudy's right across the street for mediocre burgers.

I ordered food from them through Eat24. The food arrived on time, but the food was not the best. The wings and the burger were tasteless. Even after putting additional sauce, the food tasted bland. The cheese was barely present. Not that it is a benchmark worthy place, but Buffalo Wild Wings in White Plains has much better Wings and Burgers. Not going to order from them again, awful food.

Right up front, hostess was pleasant Waitress Elizabeth was very smiley and friendly. Ordered pull pork sliders! Tender and very flavorful. Side of garlic and broccoli was nice and fresh! Will definitely return to do the wings and beer! Everyone came by to see if everything was ok. Great atmosphere too!

I have had decent experiences at hurricane. Recently, however, these experiences have been getting worse and worse. Tonight we walked in, and the restaurant was half full at most. We waited at least 5 minutes to be seated, before we had to walk into the restaurant and ask a waiter. Then, when it comes time to order my food, they notify me there are no wings left. This is a wing place! Maybe tell me that before I sit down. Anyway, I take more time to figure out what I want, and turns out they actually have wings. We then wait 40 minutes for our food. Way too long. The result: my friend's dish was cold. My boneless wings were like half boneless wings, half chicken strip type things. And they also told me only when they brought my food they were out of fries, so they brought us kettle chips instead. Food was okay. It's been better. We were very disappointed in everything. They redeemed themselves a bit when the owner took 10 dollars off our bill. And I will give them a bit of a pass considering it was New Year's Day and they were understaffed. Might be some time before I go back to hurricane. Especially when candlelight in down the road.

I've been to Hurricane Grill a few times in the last few years; I first visited them within a few months after they opened and tried them a few times. It's a nice looking sports bar with food that's better than what you'd get from the major chains overall, but it's not my first choice as a restaurant. After my initial visits I stopped going because on my 3rd try there, they simply could not prepare my burger the way I ordered it. I had to send it back twice because the toppings kept coming out wrong, and finally had to pick off the stuff I didn't order on my own. At the time, my server didn't seem to care very much, so I simply gave up on the place. This weekend, I felt like trying something other than my usual haunts, so I figured I'd give Hurricane one more try. Yet again, I was not blown away. I was in the mood for chicken tenders, but didn't want the heavily breaded factory kind served at McD's or BK. So I tried to get an idea from my server what they were like, were they heavily breaded, etc. She advised me they were not heavily breaded., so I ordered a dozen, with sides of sweet potato fries and homemade potato chips. The tenders look and taste exactly like the ones from BK and McD's - heavily breaded, obviously frozen, not a lot of flavor except for very salty. The sweet potato fries were ok but bland, and the saving grace of the meal was the homemade potato chips - crisp, warm, with just the right amount of salt to bring out the flavor. However, chips alone do not a meal make, so for a meal, I'd recommend going elsewhere. If you want a sports bar that serves food, this will do, but as a restaurant - no.

Entirely mediocre. Not one thing on the menu was memorable. Wings were okay. Everything was salty. Garlic Parmesan fries were so poorly done: just fries lightly sprinkled with Parmesan. Te portions were decent sized but the prices were crazy expensive, especially the drinks. $10-$12 for a margarita anywhere outside of NYC is nuts, and the local one was like taking a shot. Service was slow and we never got a table touch after our food came out. Then place was empty on a Saturday night and I could see why. Still looking for a great wing in westchester. Will keep my eyes opened.

The food is pretty good. But the wings are average. The servers are nice but everything is incredibly slow. We waited 10 minutes tonight to get water and our drinks. 20 for our appetizer. 35 minutes now and still no meals. I really don't understand why they are so slow. We've eaten here a few times and its super slow every time. The apps are good though. And as I write we recieved our food. The meals were mixed up. Lovely.

Worst delivery ever. Ordered at 6.20, still no food at 9,40 despite 2 calls from the restaurant explaining "our driver had an accident", first at 8.30 saying your food would be 5 minutes, 2nd at 9.12 saying the same thing. Grub hub refunded the cost (thank god) and spoke to them a 4th time where the manager said food would be another 20 minutes at 9.20 - still waiting....agree with Vee L service is horrible and will not be repeated

It's been an hour and a half now after I placed my delivery order, still no food. I called after 45 minutes just to make sure they had received my order after reading other bad reviews on another delivery site and the kind host on the other end assured me it would only be twenty minutes away. I then receive a phone call around 25 minutes later saying that it would be ANOTHER 45 minutes. I asked "does that mean the delivery driver has my food just sitting in his car for over an hour?", she regretfully replies "yes, but it's in an insulated bag". If for some reason my burger and fries end up being delivered (after a two hour wait time) and they're phenomenal I will edit this review, however I am going to assume that after sitting in a car for over an hour during transit they will not be. STAY AWAY! Running a restaurant isn't rocket science people, I know, I've been in the business for 15 years. Monkeys could do a better job...

The wings are disgusting, tasteless, and watery...yes watery, which means they were probably frozen. How can they have "wings" in the restaurant name and sell shit wings??? i ordered the 20 piece sampler, mistake. bad food is bad. what a rip-off!! I called to speak to management but of course I was on hold for 10mins+, so just hung up. Any 5-3 star reviews here are from the owner or staff. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!

Our experience was pretty much the opposite of what most people wrote here. We came for take-out and were greeted by a very nice hostess who helped us with the menu and then offered to bring us water while we waited for our food. It was about 7:30p and there seemed to be a pretty nice and calm bar crowd. 10 minutes later we had our food and were out the door. They seemed to have put a good amount of thought into how things should be packed in their to-go box so that nothing becomes soggy, ie wrapper on the wraps and sauces on the side. The wraps were pretty good and for the price it was definitely worth it. We'll be back.

I placed my order online through Grubhub. It took an hour and 40 minutes to receive my food. When I finally received my order, they forgot 2 items. It took almost another two hours to receive the forgotten items. Every time I called back about the status, I got a different story. The delivery man took so long, they had to recook the food. Customer service needs to improve. The first time I called about my order, the first thing that came out of the hostess' mouth was "we didn't receive an order". Get all the information/facts from the customer before you make a statement like that. Will never order from this place again.

Sigh..ive ordered here twice...so i thought imma give it another try and i dont know why i bothered. The wings are just alright...without the sauce,it wld probably be dry. Today i ordered the burger sliders.... it really pissed me off that i had to put it str8 in the garbage where it belongs. Waste of my money. The burger came, black, burnt and BITTER. Its inedible! Its hard and dry as a rock! I tried putting sauce on it and still its too bitter from the burnt. I checked my receipt and it states "well done, all the way" for my burgers and i i never wrote that in my order. Smh! Yeap keep it up hurricane....the way its going, they'll soon be out of business. So disappointing. Your staffs will be the one putting u out of business. The one who take the order to the one who feel like writing anything on customers receipt to the one who cant grill burgers. Aybe its time to get PROPER REAL STAFFS....oh ordered at 7.40pm,estimated delivery time was 8.43pm, delivery didnt get here until 9.15pm. Ugghhh!

A teacher friend's students pointed this place out as the go-to for wings in the area, so we decided to check it out. Overall, I'd give it 3 stars for the chicken wings we had at the restaurant, 2 for the wings we ordered for carry out, and 4 for service. Worth a shot if you're looking for lots of sauce variety and fair prices, but the wings aren't my first choice in the area. Ok spot though.

The service here is horrible! H O R R I B L E. I've been here a couple of times but only because I love the cyclone wings. They're really good, and no one else has them. Otherwise, I would NEVER deal with this place. The staff are a bunch of young kids who are more into socializing then working. They are inattentive, lazy, and unprofessional. Prepare to wait 20 minutes to order, another 10 for some water, 20 more minutes for food, and an additional half hour for the check. Forget about water refills, and extra napkins. I've even seen the owner/manager give staff shots behind the bar. He is very unprofessional. On Super Bowl Sunday we ordered wings for a 5:15 pm pick up. Waited an hour and 13 minutes for a 20 piece! They only let you place an order with a credit card, so I couldn't just leave They refused to give me a refund when I wanted to cancel the order, even though they were in the wrong. This place is horribly run. New management and a better attentive staff would make this place better. The wings are so good, its a shame.

If you're looking for good wings and food, you need to travel just a few lights away down Central Avenue and go to Candlelight. The only thing enjoyable about Hurricane is the variety of football games. Food is not good at all. It tastes cheap and mass produced. Service is okay I mean they are friendly here but overall, this place is not worth the trip. 2 stars for the football.

I had a Groupon for this place that expires on 7/31 so we figured tonight would be the best night to go.... Little did we know today 7/29 is National Wing Day... They were offering all you can eat wings for $16.99 and $1 draft beers. (Had we not had our groupon we would have taken advantage of this deal) ooh well... Groupon was for: 20 wings, garlic parm fries, 2 drinks and 2 ice creams. . . Apparently hubby's eyes are bigger than his stomach and didnt think that was enough for us so he wanted an appetizer too... So we ended up with the nachos as well. We split the flavors up in quarters.. Honey BBQ, Boss Sauce, Honey Chipotle BBQ, and Hot Teriyaki. They were all really tasty. The nachos were okay and the garlic parm fries were yummy. Though we didnt need it, we got ice cream bc the groupon included it. Vanilla for Chocolate for the Hubbs. . . Baby girl had some of mine which made her happy :) Service was decent and out waitress was nice and patient. Overall a good experience. I would def come back of I'm ever in the area.

The wings are awesome & the sliders are tasty, but the service is soooooo slllllooooowwwww. It's painful. An hour wait for food at a casual restaurant with kids is not acceptable. The kids got their food after about 45 minutes, which felt like hours since they were hungry and complaining. The place was about 1/3 full. Then the kids were finished eating before the adults got their food, so they had to wait while we ate. Really bad. It was my second time there. I was hoping the wait the first time was an aberration & gave them another chance since the wings were good. But the second time was even worse.

1st time a Hurricane Grill Wait staff was friendly and inviting. Food was expensive, did not taste good and portions were very small. I had the chorizo steak and sweet potatoes fries. Horrible!!!! Would not recommend or return.

A good choice if what you are looking for is (as our friend Dave would say) "greasy and delicious"cuisine. This place has a relaxed vacation-esque vibe to it- tiki lamps, surf boards, thatched roof huts as decor, some fun music playing. The service was fine. The hostess was very nice and friendly and went an extra step or two to help our server. They have a good amount of choices on the children's menu, including apple juice in a juice box, which was great ( I wish more restaurants offered this). They also brought out crayons for my son, so in general felt kid-friendly. The food is ok, nothing special but serviceable. Lots of different choices for wing sauces. My husband really like the honey-mustard wing sauce. I liked the garlic Parmesan fries. This place is on par with Applebee's, Pizzeria Uno, etc. Sometimes you're just in the mood for that kind of place. Would come back here!

I will never come here again. Staff is so slow and clueless. Waited 10 minutes just for my drink order to be taken which btw I had to go up to the bar to ask for a server to come to the table. My drink was wrong and my food came before my drinks.

  • Kevin K.

Unfortunately, we have stopped coming here. We were weekly regular customers and always came here for the bar and the wings. Apparently the restaurant wanted to host some sort of party to a group of vagrants, resulting in a shooting. So now they have taken it out on the regular customers. After my husbands second drink, the bartender told him as per the management, he had had "too much to drink" and refused to serve him. It was very rude and humiliating. In no way was he intoxicated. No problem, Hurricane, we found another place with wings and beer. Sorry your management sucks and has zero experience in tending bar OR customer service.

LOVE THIS PLACE! Happy atmosphere with surfboards, tiki bars, and beach décor. Delish wings in various degrees of hotness and flavor. Great selection of beer to choose from - pitchers available. Big TVs, great for watching sports. Fun, observant and responsive waitstaff. Very affordable, and they have regular specials. It's become one of my frequent neighborhood hangouts. Love Hurricane's!

Believe me, I've tried. When it opened, the service was super slow. The servers are nice, but you wait to be seated, you wait for someone to come to just get you a soda, you wait to have the order taken. (I've never been in when it's packed. The place is always more than half empty.) Management needs to wake up. When it opened, the food took forever, but at least you got what you ordered. Now, there's always something missing or wrong. And you don't get a re-fire. You get another sauce brought to the table. I can't toss garlic fries at the table and I'm not getting paid to either. There's never a comp, either. Not even the stingy garlic fry up charge. Again, management needs to wake up. And I mean wake up. There's never a manager visible. I'm done. On to better eateries.

The worst service i have had in a long time, the waiter was completely clueless..... forgetting our drinks ...forgetting the sauces we wanted with our wings...dropping off the check with no pen to sign the check....what a disaster, it was almost comical. Food was not great, my boyfriend even chipped his tooth on a "boneless" wing. go to lazy boy in white plains if you want excellent wings.

Have had great times at hurricanes. However since the new management took over it has been down hill. I am a weekly regular and there has never been an acknowledgement for their regulars. It's more like they do not want them to return. The service is not up to par.

Hurricane Grill looks the part, but fails miserably when it comes to food quality. I ate there last weekend and got very sick from the Hamburger, which I presume was either old or poorly cooked. Aside from the food not being fresh, the service is quite poor. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Didnt like the wings at all. Service was slow. The lady wasn't very attentive. The wings were very generic. It had such a factory taste and feel to it. Does that make sense?

I have been there three times so far and the food has been great. The service is fantastic. I went for my birthday and the crew sang to me and it made me feel good. Kids would like it Tuesdays because they eat free and there's a balloon guy too. If you go and want to watch WWE, They will put it on for you.

Garlic Parmesan wings & Garlic Parmesan fries. You're welcome. That's all you need to order at this place. Absolutely DELICIOUS. I would give it a 5 but sometimes the service is lacking. :/ Tip: Go during happy hour. Half prices wings and drink specials!

Poor service. This place doesn't even deserve a single star. We were seated fairly promptly, but waited 15 minutes and not a single server stopped by our table. People seated later than us were getting drinks and appetizers. We just got up and left. The hostess that seated us just prior, had no problem greeting us goodbye. Wound up finding a better place with wings right down the road. After that, we were kinda glad we left.

Ordered the BBQ pulled pork quesadilla. 4 tiny slices for a mouse. They weren't big at all, I could definitely eat more and I'm a slender woman. They said it came with guacamole and they didn't put it in there. No napkins either. That's my biggest pet peeve. If you're ever going to go here, I suggest just sticking with wings.

Nice hang out. Happy hr is cool. Tried one of the Voo Doo bucket today and that definitely hit the spot. The bartender was very pleasant and nice. Could be a lil faster but everything def hit the spot. That and a BBQ bacon cheeseburger made my day

Long wait for lunch at the Candlelight and we were in the mood for wings, so we gave this place a try. Generic chain restaurant decoration that is a bit depressing. The waitstaff were a bit numb. The food was a pleasant surprise. The chicken wings were pretty good, but would have benefitted by being a bit more well done. The hot sauce was pretty traditional. We're old school about wings and didn't try any of the other flavors. The french fries were pretty good. The sliders were OK. We wanted to share an order of sliders and asked if we could get a fourth one. We were told it would be an additional $5 (when they were 3 for $9). We passed. The cole slaw was bad. Overall, an OK plan B. The Candlelight has nothing to worry about.

Watching "Restaurant Wars" on the recent season of Top Chef, one of the judges proclaimed that people may come to a restaurant for the food, but they return to the restaurant for the hospitality. This two-star rating is a mix of four stars for the food, but one star for the service. The variety of wings and price are good. We ordered a batch of the honey wings and a batch of the hot wings, and both batches were delicious. Tasty. This, coming from someone who hates to eat with her fingers. These wings were worthy of saucy fingers. The nachos were also really good, with a scrumptious array of salsa, cheese, and other nacho-toppery. However, meeting up at Hurricane for my nephew's birthday lunch, there were three little children for whom we ordered from the children's menu, and all I can say is that these three little children were still hungry by the time the older children and adults were done with their meals. Having to make the actual birthday event at the bowling alley by a certain time, we had to pack the kids' meals in "to-go" boxes and the poor little threesome had to eat out of styrofoam while making a mad dash to the alley. We asked the waitress several times about the ETA of the kids' meals, and we were reassured that the meals were on their way. Just "yessing" us to keep us at bay? I believe so. The restaurant was empty, so we couldn't excuse them for being busy, so all I can chalk it up to is an inattentive waitstaff and poor emphasis on hospitality.

Ordered a bunch of stuff for a poker game. Delivery was on time, no hassle over payment, and food was devoured by all. Good feedback on boneless wings, nachos, and fried pickles. Would definitely order again. Have only done delivery with these so no five or four stars for now, but a very happy three.

In my next life I will probably come back as a chicken wing to be punished for all the wings I've eaten. The wings were pretty good. I did like the fact they would mix sauces (half and half) even on a small order. BBQ Burger was very good and beers cold. Each one served in a clean cold glass. Server(bartender) Danny was excellent. He knew the menu and the taps well. I probably won't go back often though because Candlelight Inn is so close by. Hurricane Wings are double the price, the beer is also about 25% more expensive. So my current ranking for wings in Westchester are: 1 - Candlelight Inn in Scarsdale - nobody really comes close 2 - Foley's in Pleasantville - Hard to believe but this dive bar serves them excellent, and late 3 - Lazy Boy Lounge in White Plains - nice variety, always well done 4 - Little B's in Tarrytown - Wings are small but tasty 5 - Planet Wings in Ossining - excellent variety, never disappointed So while I enjoyed my meal, I can't even put Hurricane's wings in the top 5 in the area.

The boneless wings are pretty good, they're the only reason I would go here over Candlelight. I really liked the sauce options, and the fact that you can try them before ordering, and create your own if you'd like. As with many wing places, there's a HUGE jump in spice between levels 4 and 5. I find 4 to be acceptable, not really hot, but a good level. I tried the 5's, and they were just too hot. Not really good tasting, but just spicy and not really enjoyable. Good beer selection, which is great. The service here really leaves a lot to be desired. While the servers are friendly, they tend to be very slow. It takes a very long time for anyone to come to the table to take an order, and an inordinate amount of time to get a beer. I thought it was a one time thing, but I've been back 4 times and every single time the service was very slow. It's common to see servers standing around or just disappearing for long periods of time. In fact, I observed on more than one occasion there was no staff at all on the floor other than the bartender. I have yet to see any sort of management present in the restaurant, which is why I suspect service is lacking. They offer delivery service, which is really nice but not really worth it. Do not order if you're really hungry. We ordered delivery and it took about 1.5 hours for the food to show up, it was cold, and it was wrong. So not worth it. If you want food, go to the restaurant. Overall if in the mood for boneless wings it's a good option. Not the cheapest, but it has variety which is good. Be prepared to wait though as you will be there for quite a while!!

So I went this past Sunday with the family. We were a party of 8. We had an awesome time. Nice vibe and the server was very attentive. We ordered the vodoo drink which was delicious actually had two. Our food order consisted of nachos, pork sliders, wings, salads, Santa Fe wrap and parmesan french fries All the entrees were delicious absolutely no complaints. I would definitely return. Nice place to hang out for family night or boys night. They also have specials which are worth checking out.

This place is getting killed for no reason. Of course it's loud, it's a wing and sports bar. The food is actually very good. If you like BWW you will like this place. I actually like the other food here better (other being non wings). The wing sauces are great, just go with your tastes. I tried the Gold Rush sauce on some boneless, it's a honey mustard hybred type. Very good, not hot enough for me but good. The Thai burger was also good. It had an Asain sauce on it that made it a bit sloppy, but really delicious. Great place to watch a game and have some wings and beers.

Don't do it unless your going for the drinks. This place wants to be a Buffalo Wild Wings with a relaxed beach vibe.... Your not going for it... Yeah. Me either. Food is okay but nothing great. The parm fries are oily and they use powder parm. shaved would be better.

My friend and I were here last week for dinner last week but we were not pleased. We waited a long time for our server to get to us. The chips and "salsa" were not what we expected. We received a bowl of chopped tomatoes in water. We might come back we might not. Not really impressed. Service was bad for the amount of tables occupied (three or four)

Was here for the second time today and I have to deduct a star from my original review. I still like the atmosphere and I still think it's a decent place, but for wings I have to compare it to nearby Buffalo Wild Wings in White Plains. The menu at Hurricane definitely has more variety than BWW. I would assert, though, BWW is more for the consummate wings fan. The HG&W menu is decidedly "Grill", with mostly wraps, sandwiches and platters. Great selection, but wings seem secondary. They offer boneless and "jumbo," and that's it. HG&W wings are meatier than BWW, but they're not done justice by the sauces. HG&W only allows TWO sauces before pinning on an extra charge. BWW allows more sauces, and also labels your wings with them on your platter so you know what you're tasting. I was also bummed out by the fact that the HG&W sauces list did not have the original "Buffalo" flavor at all. How can you be a wings joint and not mention the word BUFFALO? I tried three "Category 4" sauces, which were supposed to be very hot, and they were a bit tame. The bleu cheese wasn't enough for the 15 wings. All in all, I like Hurricane, but only if it's a case of convenience or selection. For a total artery-clogging, super hot wing pig-out, I have to stick to BWW.

I went to Hurricane Grill & Wings recently because we wanted to have a quick meal with a beer. We ordered 15 wings with the coco loco and fire and ice. The Coco Loco was listed as a level four but it was very mild, there was almost no heat. We also got a side of broccoli and their corn medley. Both were decent. The service was unremarkable, the food was fine. I'd go back if I'm really in the mood for wings, but it's not at the top of my list.

I've eaten twice at Hurrican Grill & Wings and as with any other restaurant franchise did not really expect too much. Their main fare as the name implies is wings and they have them available with over 30+ sauces some of which are pretty tasty. Nearly everything else was standard salty, somewhat greasy chain fare so I'd avoid them and stick strictly to the wings. I really wouldn't recommend this place per se but they do show major fights and MMA events so on one of those nights you really couldn't lose coming here and hanging out with a plateful of wings and beers.

Went here for lunch on Saturday afternoon, around 12:30 pm. I decided to give this location a second chance, as I was just in Florida and really enjoyed the location there. What a mistake. Upon arriving we were promptly seated, and there were only 6 or so tables t the time. The server came over looking miserable and I was barely able to hear him say his name. My girlfriend told him we needed a few more minutes before we were ready to order and he proceeded to stand next to the table until I repeated we need some more time. After we ordered and finished eating we waited over 15 minutes for the server to come back, even after he served food to the table next to us he did not turn around to check up on us. Can honestly say this was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a slow restaurant.

I had a Groupon for four which included 50 wings, sliders, fries, soda and ice cream. The decor is very nice, it has a tropical theme. The service was first rate but the food (mainly the wings) was not good. They were fatty. The fifty wings weren't labeled and we had to ask our server which was which. Buffalo Wild Wings is so much better with much higher quality of wings. Now I have to mention that everything else (fries, sliders, ice cream) was good, even the order of nachos and fried pickles but this is a wings place and it failed in that category. We would not go back here and would not buy another Groupon for this place in the future. There are much better places nearby for wings than Hurricane.'

I'm not native to Westchester, so let me preface by saying that I don't like Candlelight, and will not downrate Hurricane's because they are not your beloved dive. Pros: - Brianna, best server ever, laid-back, very knowledgeable about menu, promotions and beers. - Those beers! Large craft beer selection at reasonable prices. Just tried Shipyard Pumpkin there, it was delicious. - Wings - big variety of sauces, meaty wings, always served hot - Fries- garlic parmesean and sweet potato fries are always worth the 99 cent upgrade to any meal. - Accommodates large parties easily- I once went in with 9 people late on a Friday or Saturday, and we were sat immediately. Try that at Candlelight! Big Pro: The rewards card system was down, and the manager took my word for it and just took $10 off the bill, which means there's still $10 on the card for when the system is back up. Awesome customer service right there. Cons: - Spotty service- Sometimes the check takes way too long to arrive, or the server just forgets about you. This hasn't happened to me in the last several months, but it's worth mentioning. I think that's all! If you want some wings, burgers, and beer you can't go wrong here.

Thought it would be better. I kept getting Groupon discounts for this place so me & a friend finally went there to try it. Looked nice, like a beach bar theme, but the food & service was not up to par. The hostess was kind, but our server was not very attentive, servers from other tables had to come help us because ours was never in sight or he would walk by several times not asking if everything was ok. My friend ordered the Talapia Salad, and when he took a bite out of it he said "This fish tastes like it crapped on itself before it was caught and was never cleaned" he sent it back right away. I ordered the chicken breast with rice meal, for a place like that i thought i would get a bigger portion for what they charge. I still had a 1/2 cup of sauce by the time i finished the chicken. Our server apologized for the food not being so good, but suggested the wings because they were very good.....NOT REALLY. The wings were just OK, didnt look so great, tasted kind of undercooked, not crunchy as i like. Yelp has a 2 Star average for this place, I absolutely agree, I wont go back here again, next time its either Candlelight or Buffalo Wild Wings.

More specifically, this might be a 1.5 star place, but I'm rounding down. Strike one. It's in a strip mall. When you go inside, there's not attempt to hide that...you're in a strip mall. Like eating in a warehouse? This place is right up your alley, chief. Strike two: Sat at the bar, and had to wave wildly to get the bartenders attention. On a Monday night. Really? Really. Oh, and the guinness was poured without a rest, so it was flat (should've known better at a place like this). AND, our order came out entrees first, app second. Something's not right here. Strike three: this is a wing joint. Their wings aren't good. Dry, bland. The batter / breading was thick and...solid. Not crunchy, solid. Now, I admit, I had the "boneless wings" - which are never as good. But here's the thing: I had Candlelight for lunch (what are YOU lookin' at? You got a problem with me eating two meals of wings in one day?)...and I'm a sloppy wing-eater. I couldn't bear to get myself covered from eyeball to adams apple in wing sauce twice in one day. In any case, I tried two different sauces - they tasted identical. I tried a couple additional dipping sauces, completely unimpressive - and they didn't really even taste like their descriptions. Beers come in the 12-ounce "pint glasses" not actual pint glasses. Oh, and the smothered fried or whatever they're called are pathetic. You call that bacon? That barely passes for bacos. Don't mess with my wings, don't mess with my beer, and don't mess with my bacon.

It's okay place to eat. I like that during football games you can get free wings with every $6 you spend at the bar on drinks.

I had placed a very small order for Superbowl Sunday- just 10piece bbq wings and a small order of onion rings. I had called in around noon that day, gave my credit card information and was told it would be ready by 6. I arrived there, it is so crowded. There is a huge line for orders. It is VERY disorganized. I wait about 15 mins, and am met by the girl behind the counter. There was only one person at the register, even though it was Superbowl Sunday. Anyway, she says she can't find my name on the last. This was frustrating since I ALREADY PAID. She says she can't help me and to find someone at the bar. I find someone at the bar, she directs me to someone else, who directs me to someone else. You see where this is going...I ended up leaving with my boyfriend (who was really excited for his wings) and got some pizza at a local pizzeria. All in all, this was a terrible experience. They were VERY disorganized, unhelpful and rude. I understand it was a busy day, however the people there handled it terribly. I would reccomend never going there if in a rush-- or at all. The service is poor.

Fried Pickles - Yes Please! Wings - Bourbon Apple & Thai Ginger - YES THANK YOU! Many Beers On Tap -- SCHWEET!! its your typical sports bar with some nice amenities! The wings can be beat but if you're looking for a nice change and lots of variety this is the place to go!

Don't get the mixed reviews... been here twice and I can't complain about either time! :) Tropical drinks were yummy! Jumbo wings were very tasty, very fulfilling... go with the fries (chips weren't earth-shattering lol!). Love the various sauces (very BBW for a lesser price!). Both times, servers was very attentive and friendly!

  • Cressida L.

I was looking for delivery of something other than pizza or Chinese. They were super speedy and just what we would have expected from a "wings" place. I think they were great and we'll order again for sure!

  • Big D.

Wings are meaty and we really did enjoy this place but then suddenly the wing prices shot up, 20 wings for $19.95 are you kidding me a dollar per wing? that is the only thing keeping me from returning that is outrageous.

Well, I'm not a fan of "non-Buffalo" wing sauces. My friend and I tried the Ancho Chile and the Jamaica Jerk sauces and we were not impressed. However, if you want the usual Buffalo sauce, get the Hurricane Cat 3. Cat 4 is really spicy and Cat 5 will send you to the hospital. Also, another con, the prices seemed a bit high, but I'm new in Westchester and also a student again, so I'm more sensitive to these things. Still, I'm going to come back. "Why," you might ask? First, Brianna's an interesting waitress. Second, the beer selection is amazing. Third, my friend's chicken sandwich with "Gold Rush" sauce was really good. For me, at this kind of place, I'm good with a regular ol' pub burger, and this place does not disappoint in that regard. Overall, it's a decent wings/beer/burger place with some other options for those more adventurous types. Not a chain, per se, but it's got that "chainy" feel even if it's a couple notches above Chili's or Applebees.

  • Pasha G.

The only thing we could actually eat at this place were the wings -- The wings aren't bad, but I'll stick to Candlelight if I want wings. Everything else was left on our plate. The "Thai Cole Slaw" tasted like Thai iced tea spilled into my cole slaw. In fact I think I'd rather eat at KFC than this place. The cocktails were horrible -- watered down frozen margaritas, tasted like a water slushie. The mojito was so sweet it tasted like pure syrup. That being said, the service was actually very nice and friendly. But the food cannot save this place.

  • Dave T.

This is a chain that's clearly missing a link or two. The wings themselves are tasty, I think. Even if you're in the mood for "boneless" (AKA: chicken nuggets) they're good. The appetizers are nothing special. They do have good onion rings, however. The place can get easily LOUD as there is minimal (and somewhat uncomfortable) decor with nothing to absorb the sound between the bar with its sports-blaring flat screens in addition to all the diners. The last time I was there, I waited nearly 5 minutes for someone to approach me to seat me. Even the oblivious wait staff simply walked on by. Level 0 awareness, as we would say at a former job of mine. The one REAL bright spot here is that they carry Palm Ale on tap. An awesome beer that I was recently introduced to at last year's Fancy Wine & Food Show of NYC. It's ok for a local "why not?" joint. But not a destination.

cheap eats, doesn't compare to Candlelight Inn. Sides were awful, wings were not hot, in spice or temperature. Side dishes are in very very small portions. The server also seemed a bit neglectful. Boneless wings were nothing more than you could get a Wendy's. you get what you pay for, cheap food at cheap prices.

Pretty solid for a family outing. If the games are on it can be loud but i went during a non-local NFL playoff and it wasn't too bad. This is right up there with the BWW franchises and good alternative.

I went to Hurricane Frill & Wings when it first opened with excitement, that lasted all of 5 minutes. We were seated and did not see a server for over 15 minutes. Once we got our drinks it took another 10 minutes for the server to take our order (which she got wrong). Food was so-so. Went back this past Sunday to give them another shot (figuring they worked out the kinks of a new eatery). We were sat promptly and began waiting for a server to arrive at the table (the place was pretty empty). Our server began to approach our table 10 minuites after we sat but was detoured by the table in front of us who began to complain that the server forgot two of the items they ordered (they were almost done with their meal). The server turned around and left our area, We got up and left vowing never to return.

I have to say I'm surprised with the negative reviews. Maybe people are thinking they were eating at The french laundry. This is a decent wings and american food joint. Yes it is a chain, but everything we ate tasted very good. Our waitress, Brianna was a big part of the 4 start experience. She knew the menu from front to back and did not hesitate to let us know what she though went better with a certain item. Everything she suggested was spot on and she was quick and responsive with the food and drinks. She suggested a beer flight for my husband and he was happy to indulge in 4 different beers. I also like that there was a wide variety of sauces. I'm tired of just getting "buffalo" wings. Anyone can throw some hot sauce and butter together. I want variety and the ability to customize my wings and that's exactly what we got here. Who cares if its located in a strip mall, if people haven't noticed, everything on Central Ave is located in a strip mall. My husband and I will be back again when we get a craving!

I love wings and I haven't quite found a spot to love since my favorite Jackpot closed. I'm sorry but Candlelight Inn to me doesn't really have anything on Hurricane Wings. I'm not sure if it's because my expectations were so high from reading the rave reviews or what. I stumbled into HW on Friday and I was quite impressed. As much as I like heat sometimes even adding more hot sauce to hot wings the ridiculously hot conquered me. We got the sampler plus 10 extra so we could try 5 different sauces. I must say it was definitely well seasoned and you got the flavor of the sauce in every bit. So Dam* Hot Wings has now moved to number to on my list. Keep up the great work HW I will be back.

The main dish obviously of this place are the wings, so pretty much it should be the best thing on their menu right? Wrong! There wings are very dry and does not satisfy the heat craving you have. For example, I am a medium flavored kind of girl and for some reason I could have eaten the extra spicy wings my fiance had! He loves the heat, but the spice just wasn't there! Oh and my wings were dry and had like zero sauce on them, which pissed me off soooooo much because I really wanted to taste the tang of that great buffalo sauce! I've even had better wings at Applebee's and Fridays! Yes, it is true! Definitely agree, go to CANDLELIGHT INN, muchhhhhhhhhhhhh better and cheaper!

Just finished a work out and my friend picks me up. We both are starving and he suggests this place for wings. Bad choice. Listen to Yelp! especially if an establishment is getting unfavorable ratings. The place seems gimmicky (is that a word?) with 15 or more different wing sauces but that doesn't equate to the wings being good. They were not. Bland tasting and cold. My steak was below average in taste and quality. The only reason I did not give this place a lower rating was because our server was actually quite competent and personable. I will not make a return visit to this restaurant.

Pretty gross; I do not want to be the Duke of this place. *b.o.d.- it's a new restaurant; places sometimes take a while before they get all of their bananas in order. i'm not crazy optimistic that they'll snap out of it, but i'd probably go back if they did.

If I could possibly give Hurricane Wings ZERO stars, i would. My first attempt: my chicken wings were fairly raw. I figured I'd give them another chance. 2nd attempt: my chicken was raw; I even made a request for them to cook the wings twice! They said "sure".... Raw!!!! How is this a Wing spot, and they have yet to figure out how long to cook their wings??? Ugh. I've given up. Beware!

I'm a Flight Attendant so I travel a lot and I am always wanting to try new places. We don't have this place where I live. I got the wings and liked them a lot. They were a good size not small like some places give you. I thought they had a good taste and I loved the sauce. I thought I price for what you got was good also. Overall I liked this place and would go back whenever I was in the area again.

  • Shelby N.

OK first off let me say that the parking is horrible. But than again I suppose that one cant expect good parking when in a semi strip mall. Ugh. Second, the place is a nice large size and clean. That's where the compliments stop for me. The food was second to the worst crap that I have ever tasted. And if they didn't have their decent buffalo wings than they would be number one on my shit list. (I am a sucker for good buffalo wings) The carry out bags totes their motto about having this amazing flavorful food when in fact its the complete opposite. The portions are small. I had personally ordered a shrimp quesidilla (sp?) with bacon and when it arrived I swear it was smaller than the picture on the menu. And that was small too!! My shrimp was the kind that they serve in high school. You know the kind that is all artificial and bland with the crispy parts falling off around it. or maybe that was just at my high school..... anyways, there wasn't any flavor what so ever. I had sweet potato fries (try eating them with ranch dressing YUM!) and they were more or less cold. Like um WTF? My friend ordered buffalo wings which were really good. But than again how can one really go wrong with buffalo wings? But my point is I shouldn't of had to eat off his plate. I was supposed to of been occupied with stuffing my face with my own food. But you know from my rant that THAT didn't happen. Oh and maybe the other good thing is that they have specials on certain days and they have this promotion of having free wings on any NFL game night. But even that is shitty given the fact that they require your party to sit at the bar to order a drink before being able to enjoy your wings. mis dio's (or is it the other way around?!) I've definitely had better. And if it hadn't been for the fact that I was being treated to the garbage that was my "dinner", than this rant would've been a lot more brutal. Consider this as me being "easy on them." Oh and the waitress Melissa I think it was... literally seated us, took our order and never came back except for to give us the check. HUH? you mean you didn't think I would like a refill of my coke with no ice and a lemon wedge? Or that I wouldn't want any more sour cream for my quesidilla. given it was small but none the less everyone need EXTRA SOUR CREAM. Ok rant over :)

If you want boneless chicken wings aka chicken nuggets go to burger king or McDonald. The wings are somewhat small compared to candlelight. They are tasty however. There are a ton of different sauces to choose from that don't appeal to me but that's just me. The service is good because it is a chain restaurant and much friendlier than the candlelight. Someone needs to pull over and beat up the guy in the chicken suit. I almost got into an accident because of the freak jumping too close to the street

  • Annmarie B.

I have been to Hurricane Wings about five times since they've opened. Every time I'm there they are busier and busier. So I must not be the only one who likes them. They have unbeatable happy hour specials mon-fri. with $2 dom beers bottles and drafts and half price apps. The best part is this is 4-7 and 9-11 at night!!! With about 15 TV's you cant be bored. If you friend them on facebook you can see other specials like free drink tickets and half price things. Lastly they have a "surf shop" which is like a private room for larger groups which is where we sat the first time but also good for kids.

Come here when the crowds don't flock for the recipes that exclaim loud kicks in flavor, (I'm talking about em' crazy chicken wings) for whenever that crowd of children, parents, and overweight globs have a bite of one dead chicken here, they scream joyfully as well. It's loud. Maniacally loud; especially with trivia Thursdays when a voice is bleating trivia questions in a separate room. So for that perfect taste and feel of peace in a tropical paradise, don't come here at night or anytime around football season (unless you like epic pandemonium along with the wafting smell of brewed hooch and saucy poultry). The chicken wings are bar none awesome - like really, really, really, really good. Not the best, but brilliant in taste; it's in the sauces, methinks. I wouldn't be surprised that their wings are bueno though, because it is their main sledge on the reg at this hopping spot at some lonely strip mall in quaint suburbiana. Those sauces, which number in a figure larger than the average distributor of chickenly grandness, contain love from the cook who makes them in the kitchen with both mundane and unusual ingredients. For those who tend to stay on the path of culinary epiphany, I would suggest their BBQ sauce or their teriyaki glaze. Otherwise, I would tell one of their friendly waiters/ waitresses to provide a strayer of that mainstream path (somebody like me) to serve up some fine raspberry sauce, cyclone sauce, Thai ginger & garlic, Mango BBQ, or/and for the inferno dwelling consumer - dynamite sauce. By the way, they provide you with more than one sauce for each order of chicken, so choose at your disposal. What goes well with chicken wings? Beer and football, of course! Yes, there is a square bar with televisions and attentive bartenders. There's Sam Adams and Budweiser on tap, and from the looks of the menu, they have some tropical inspired specialty beverages for your enjoyment. I never had one, but from the looks of other diners, they suffice. Aside from the grandiose wings, there are chicken in wraps, fish tacos, the best fries on this side of central avenue, something called hurricane slaw, lively quesadillas, and even more poultry slammed in between two pieces of moderately tasting grain. Don't worry about the heat if you have a phobia of spices; the menu hosts a wide selection from mild to radioactive hot. The wait for the chow wasn't too long; actually, now that I recall - it was pretty darn swift in my memory, despite the crowded patronage. To conclude about this neat bar and grill: The parking. That lot outside can get pretty full as a result of the influx of customers. You can try the back of the store, but if that doesn't work, you can call a helicopter company to come and lift somebody else's car to make a new spot. Done. =)

Not really a fan of the drinks at the bar, or the boneless wings here. Yes, there is an overabundance of choices when it comes to sauces, the actual quality of chicken leaves something to be desired. The food was overfried. We ordered some drinks from the bar, and I did not previously think that it was possible to mess up a long island, but there again I was proven wrong. It tasted like cough medicine.

My boyfriend took me here, and I had high hopes for it from his apparently rave reviews. I was excited, and it was a cute day. But the one star is only for the comfortableness of the booth we were seated at. First of all, if your fancy and elegant, you will not fit in here. This is a place really for sweats and the t-shirt/flip-flops combo they advertise for at the entrance. I really wished I liked it, but it took ages for the waitress to get our order. I was hungry/grumpy...and you know where that gets to. My boyfriend is too nice + too patient as he coaxed me thru the whole thing. The wingless wings I got with the mango BBQ and the other one which I cannot remember was disgusting. It reminded me of the smell of airplane food (one of the things I hate the most) and gave me the headache to go with it. By the end of the meal, my still-full plate of wings that were wingless..harhar...had to be placed across the table. Maybe it was a one time thing? But if you want real wings, this ain't the place. AVOID.

went here for lunch with mixed feelings.....read a lot of reviews saying that this place wasn't that good, but i beg to differ.....the wings were of nice size (larger than BWW) and the taste was good.....service was ok, but I would definitely come back to try other flavors of wings, of which they have many!
