Best place in Skaneateles for great beer and bite to eat! Been coming here for years, and will continue to go for years. Integral part of the community in all aspects, supporting the kids sports teams, the fire department, and many other organizations. Truly a class act. And on top of that, they are known for their roast beef sandwiches which are mastered to perfection. Don't listen the 2 bad reviews here, this is not a five star dinning experience, it's a pub, and my favorite pub, and a damn good one!!!

Being honest wasn't expecting much and was super hungry. Was told the roast beef sandwich was good and it really was! Loved the horseradish on it and sauce. I'd order it again!

Just got finished having the Roast Beef French Dip sandwich. Probably the best I've had. So good we got one to go for later! Yum-Yum!

I stopped here with a friend who lives locally because he said I had to try their roast beef sandwich. We go in, grab a table, and after about 10 minutes no server comes over. During that 10 minutes, a bar patron proceeds to let loose something demonic from his butt on his way out the door, making the entire place smell like a sewer. Patrons move around trying to avoid it. A staff member walks right by us, spends a minute or so attempting to prop the door to air out the place, and proceeds to ignore us. We should have left, but we hunted down a kitchen staffer and they said there's no servers on tonight but we can order at the bar. We go to the bar, and another 5 minutes goes by. While the barstools were mostly full, the bartender was yapping with some people and ignoring us. A few feet away from us, the same staffer that propped the door was eating something at a table. How is it that staff are eating, while customer aren't. We left. It was pretty much the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant.

Skaneateles is a weird place...amidst this truly beautiful lake is something out of the stodgiest piece of soul sucking un-fun that even the most Yankee of New England towns cant produce. The LakeHouse pub is full of wrinkled nosed alkies that look like the zombie apocalypse has hit hard... I've been in here a few times to catch a hockey game and every time it's the same vibe. It's a great spot too...but the creep factor is way too high. Many 50-plus folks getting sloshed. Ehhh no thanks.

I like this pub, the club sandwich is decent, and everything is pretty reasonable. Will be back

Since it's the ONLY place in town that's an actual stand alone bar, options are limited. Nice setup, simple atmosphere makes it worth the stop

Great spot in Skaneateles!! Try the Reuben or the quesadilla. Bartenders are friendly and efficient. Nice tap selection and 1911 ciders on tap. This will be my go to spot when I need to take a relaxing ride with my man.

Stopped in here when we were visiting some friends in town. The place was packed and the atmosphere was fun. From the front of the bar, you could a small park over looking the lake. It would have been nice if there was some seating outside, as it was a beautiful summer evening and I would have enjoyed the view of the lake outside. I was a little disappointed at the menu choices and the chicken on my ceasar salad was sliced way to thin and was dry. I'm pretty sure they just heated up some pre-made chicken. On the other hand, the soft pretzel app was DELISH! There was a band setting up, but we didn't stay to watch them. Great little spot to grab a drink though!

Great beef sammy's, very good beer selection. On a crowded night you may have to wait to catch a bartender's attention, but hey, it's a crowded night. Lots of TVs for watching football/baseball/basketball. My biggest complaint is that the bar stools are too short for the counter opposite the bar. You're better off just standing, unless you like your elbows up by your shoulders. Mary Anne (Marianne? Etc.) is one of the best managers/waitresses around. LakeHouse had a challenge filling the dive/biker bar niche when it took over the space of the former Morris's Grill. I think they've done a great job- it's definitely the most casual bar in the village, which is welcome, but you don't feel like you're in a third world country when you use the bathroom. They even have one of the old stained glass windows from Morris's framed over the big table near the back. Basically, if you're in Skaneateles you should stop by if you want a beer. More casual than the Sherwood, a little more spacious compared to the Bluewater and centrally located.

Looking for a little fun in a small town? Grab your dancing boots and bring your appetites. Charming, welcoming and fun. A local spot which brings in crowds from neighboring towns. Great bar menu and drinks are great too. A good time all the time and directly across the beautiful Skaneateles Lake.

Dark and noisy - great fun though and really good RB sandwich, half price on Mondays :)

Great pub with a small but interesting beer selection. Live music, lots of room for darts. We came back here several times during our visit. Stop by for a drink after a meal at Doug's!

Upside: Food was very good - quesadillas, spicy shrimp, and an amazing roast beef sandwich tho beware the almost toxic horseradish! Nice beer selection too. Downside: Server Mary was angry from the get go and acted as tho we'd personally insulted her despite never having made her acquaintance (even our teenager was afraid). Yikes. But we'll be back and will recommend to friends.

Lakehouse is great. A much needed addition in this town. It's crowded so relax and chat with people while the friendly bartenders make their way to you. Drinks are always poured just right and the music is spot on. It's got great bar food and the Reuben is on point. Being honest, if you're looking for a healthy salad or great sushi, not your place. If you're in this small town, take advice from one of the locals- stop in, tip your hat to us, order you a blue light or whiskey coke and have some fun!

I am local and this is the first time I tried the LakeHouse Pub. There was one person working at lunchtime covering both the bar and the tables so needless to say service was slow. Food was mediocre at best. Would not go back. Skaneateles is in desperate need of restaurants with decent food. This place does not answer that need.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
