Honestly we came here just because of the name. Yes they may have cheesy award pictures when you walk in, but it's actually quite delicious. This review is based on Take-out. We walked right in and were greeted. There was no one in there. They gave us a large menu and we ordered an entree for each of us. We live 25mins away and the food was still ridiculously hot by the time we got home. They give you a lot of food for the price you pay. They also do family style where you can order not entrees. Egg drop soup delicious. We used to have a favorite Chinese take out place we went to for years until it went out of business. Couldn't find anything great until this place. Will be our go to place from now on.

I was excited to eat at the #8 out of 100 best Chinese restaurants in the USA (according to their cheesy banners tacked to the drop ceiling). Well, I shouldn't have wasted my $35 for: Egg Rolls, Small Wonton, Small Hot-n-Sour, Kung Pao Chicken, General Tso Chicken and Fried Rice. Egg Rolls, obviously frozen and practically zero taste and were cold. Soups were mediocre at best. Both chicken dishes were severely under seasoned and therefore BLAND. Why 1 star even? The Chicken Fried Rice was the star of this meal. Excellent. As far as the store cleanliness - Don't look around! There are 10's of dead flies (I quit counting at 34) in the front window. I saw cobwebs on the very old booths. Bottom line - I would not waste my money with Takee Outee. Takee Outee needs to be taken out.

The name has always intrigued me, and coming out of Sams at 8:20 last night, I knew Takee Outee was on my path & convenient . Called ahead & ordered 2 patty beef egg foo younge combo $7.50 & Almond Chicken Combo $7.50 It was very Very good! The fried rice was loaded with some nice little additions, veggies, meats & was darker & more flavorful than any Ive ever had Plus the egg roll wasn't your mass produced Sams Club egg roll, it actually appeared handmade & was loaded & stuffed. The lady at the counter was super polite, friendly & busy cleaning & sprucing up the very nice dining room. We will be back!

Working in Macomb, there are lots of places to eat, but the traffic is so horrible you don't have time to actually use your whole hour of lunch for actual lunch time. That's when my co-workers and I discovered this place. They are a service that you call, have them place your order to the restaurant and they deliver the food to you. We called them at 11:00, gave them our order and everything seemed like it would go well. They said we would have our order arrive to us by 11:45. I would give them an extra 15 minutes just because the traffic is awful! I have also seen them deliver to the building next to us, so I assume they know where we are located and they are familiar with the area. 12:30 comes around and we only have a half hour left in lunch. They haven't called to see where we are located in case they were lost, they haven't called to even let us know that they would be late. Then 12:45 comes around. I call them. They answer. Their response. "We are just about to head to you now!" He sounded irritated. I'm sure they are busy with the type of work they are doing. But if you wanted to do what you are doing, don't act so rude and irrational to your customers. It is completely out of line. When he FINALLY arrived, the food was cold yet luke warm in some areas. Dry. Looked like it got thrown around and he actually wanted me to pay him. So yes, I paid him. Then he stood there WAITING FOR A TIP! No I did not stoop to his level and give him a tip for being as rude as he possibly could to me. MY ADVISE.....DO NOT USE TAKEE OUTEE. Just go out into the traffic yourself and eat it on the way to work! Not worth the "help" they give.

We usually order sweet and sour chicken with sauce on the side because if you don't it's soggy and disgusting. We decided to try the sesame chicken, I asked for sauce on the side and she refused for some reason I'm guessing because its frozen garbage..so it was soggy and bland. I think they don't understand or care about customer service.. We pay them not the other way around. 2 stars because my wife likes the egg rolls.

I really, really wanted to like this place. Prices are comparable to your average strip mall Chinese place and they deliver to your door. After having gotten dinner here for my family at least a dozen times since they opened, I'm finally having to throw in the towel. Their food, at least delivery, is often under cooked. The almond boneless chicken has arrived to my home pink before with literally uncooked breading, the fried pork dumplings have had raw bits in the center. These are things I have complained to them about (and received comped food for) but that they have not changed. It's no longer a matter of the fact that they use so much breading, so much salt, so much grease in the box, etc. It's turned into an actual health hazard for me to give their food to my family. The one thing I am sure I will still order, as it is the one consistently good dish, is the lo mein (hence 2 stars instead of 1). I've never dined in so I don't know if they rush to get their delivery orders out but repeatedly sending out raw food is unacceptable. If you look through other Yelp reviews, you will see I am not the only one to mention their uncooked chicken either. This is definitely a "dine at your own risk" restaurant.

Very very good Chinese food. I got the general tso's chicken and fried rice with an egg roll. Splendid. The inside is very nice and clean and completely redone. (Remember, this was dingy little San Pan before). There food is not too 'saucy' or syrupy or messy like some places can be. The prices are fairly good for good portions and food. They apparently offer delivery also and have a wide selection of Chinese, Mandarin, Thai, and other Asian food. Would recommend without question.

Possibly the saltiest food I have ever had! my fiance and I stopped in for lunch. I should have known better since we were the only ones in there. No idea why we had to wait 20minutes for soup! another 10minutes for the sweet and sour chicken main dish. Perfect place to go if you like salty greasy Chinese food

Worse Chinese food I ever had. Terrible and overpriced. They messed up the simple order of almond chicken. It's burn outside and not done inside. Everything I order was greasy even the soup!!!!

When I read the reviews here, I have to wonder what alternate universe the reviewers live in because the Takee Outee at the top of my street is outstanding. We can walk there and so it is our Go To place for Chinese food. Compared to San Pan which used to be at this location, Takee Outee is fantastic. No frozen peas and carrots in the fried rice, no canned bean sprouts in the Egg Foo Young. Short of the mini corn, (which is always canned) I have had only fresh ingredients, cooked well and at a great price. I love the Pan Fried Noodles. They are like nothing else. Crispy and crunchie. My husband gets the Almond Chicken every time but my daughters and I love to try the different dishes. The only think I wish is that they made their own pancakes for the Mu shu pork, but the wrappers are good. They have a nice fried tofu dish for the vegetarians. Their Egg Foo Young patties are HUGE. They give you so much food that we eat it for two days. And really inexpensive. If we don't get fried dumplings or Crab Rangoons, we eat for 35.00 to 40.00 dollars. Try it yourself and see. Takee Outee is GREAT.

Takee Outee? More like throwee upee! By far the WORST Asian food I have ever had. My brother told me it was "not too bad" and since they deliver, we thought we would give it a try. MISTAKE! (Did you say steak? No, I said MISTAKE) We all three ordered sweet and sour chicken, which is usually a safe bet and a good judge of the quality. Failed! When we opened the box, we were very surprised by the quantity of food. Easily enough for two or three meals. I ordered mine with plain rice, which was about the only bearable part of the meal. The chicken here is the issue. Why did the chicken cross the road? Because it wasn't ****ing cooked! Picture a tiny cube of dark meat chicken, dry as a bone, encased in a half-inch thick casing of deep-fried, greasy bisquick! I think if you actually peeled all the breading off, despite the HUGE pile of food, you would maybe have had enough chicken (if that's what it even is) to fill a tablespoon. Based on some of the other reviews I will assume that some days are better than others, or maybe they just serve crap to the delivery orders. But why take the chance? I don't want to gamble with my food. Even the spring roll was enough to make you toss your fortune cookies. By the way, my fortune was "You will not eat here again". I'll stick to Wok Inn on Hayes, always consistent, always delicious!

Actually pretty good! The Mongolian Beef was tender and tasty. Fried rice was fresh. Def would go back. Only issue was communication with the staff. Language is an issue.

My hubby and I were pretty tired from driving around and working all day so Takee Outee sounded like a good place to order from plus since they had delivery, it was a bonus. I ordered the Sesame Chicken combo with spring roll, Shrimp Egg Foo Young with Spring Roll, 3 extra spring rolls on the side, and a pint of Chicken Fried Rice. It took a half hour for food to be delivered, but that wasn't bad considering the weather. When we opened up our cartons, we found 3 cigar-sized spring rolls in the Sesame chicken box, an egg roll in the shrimp egg foo young box, and 3 egg rolls in a bag. Now I clearly ordered 3 extra spring rolls and requested spring rolls with the combos. So there goes a point. The Sesame chicken was kind of dry with just a one note flavor of sweet. The fried rice was (and I'm not joking or being cynical) gray. Literally. My egg foo young had an exorbitant amount of a green leafy vegetable in it. I'm not sure if it was lettuce or bok choy or napa, but it was one of them. I think in each egg foo young patty, there was only 3, maybe 4 shrimp in it. There goes the other 2 stars. The only reason why there are any stars left was 1) friendly driver 2) price wasn't bad. I don't think we'll be ordering from here again.

I love Chinese food like my dad, but I like the best of the best in the area because I have been disappointed else where in the taste. Near the Lakeside mall, I usually try the Flaming Wok (in the mall), but when I tried Takee Outee--- their Crab Ragoons, plum sauce/sweet and sour sauce and food was delicious!! Takee Outee has to be the best Chinese restaurant I have ever had near Lakeside mall! Their restaurant is very decent and nice looking, small and quaint and has a TV also in there to view. Their wonton soup is THE wonton soup! That's a real dumpling! It helped on their menus that they had pictures of the food so you can look at what you want to order. The combo platters are a good idea and ok price which I tried. The reason why I rated it 4 stars is because if you're going to dine in, make sure you bring some wipes to wipe off the table. She wiped our tables with a rag, but the table was still sticky. Also their eggrolls were good, but very greasy. another reason for a 4 star. This restaurant is also rating #8 best Chinese restaurant in the USA

This was so awful I don't even know where to begin. The first time we ordered delivery they called us back 1 1/2 hours latter to tell us it was going to be another hour. We tried again a couple of weeks later. The food took about an hour and a half to arrive. The egg rolls were soggy, and the general tso and orange chicken tasted exactly the same. The flavor was average.

People eat here?!?!?!?! I always thought it was a front for some type of shady business like drugs or human trafficking. The storefront looks so seedy and dirty.

TERRIBLE!!!! The food is Not very good at all even IF they manage to make what you order. I called back to get my order fixed and they refused to comp the order they messed up and I had to drive all the way back to get it. The guy yelled at me saying he had bills to pay so he couldn't afford to comp a meal he messed up. And it must be my fault that the cook doesn't speak English therefore the order was mistranslated? Well I pay bills too and I made two trips for crappy Chinese food!!!!! Last time I checked I am the CUSTOMER!!!

so my mom and I came here for lunch ( had a coupon buy one get 50% off the 2nd ) I have been here when it was SAN PAN back in the day but now all redone, U walk in and see they have pictures on the left wall of some items, The lady at the cash register greeted us and sat us down, very small place with just 2 small tables and a hand full of booths. TV on the wall, clean pleasant, Nice menu selection, it was worth getting a dinner combo instead of the lunch, ( it was like $1.75 difference with the almond chicken so why not ) Mom ordered the chicken egg foo young. when we ordered they waitress asked if we wanted rice and egg roll with our combo which I thought was a little weired but whatever,( thought maybe there was a xtra charge but, Nope. we both got won ton soup which was pretty good. small bowl not a cup, the waitress brought out our soft drinks in a nice clean good size cup. Our food came out shortly after, ( a little to soon, just finished the soup but mom was still working on hers) any way the dinner combo HUGE PORTIONS, the almond chicken gravy was the same as the egg foo young gravy which I'm not a big fan of but the taste was alot different the other places, had some bite, a peppery taste, not spicy but it really stood out, the fried rice I think was Puff fried rice, very full looking and very good, now the egg roll, wow, that and the plumb sauce was also a different ( in a good way ) very good, now I'm a big guy and i only could eat half so you little guys and ladies you will be eating for days. with the coupon the bill came to $16.50ish ( +/-). plus tip I was happy, so was mom, while we were eating, the waitress put a big bowl/plate of some shrimp lo mien which I thought was for her, but as soon as she put it on the table a guy walk in and she said " oh their you are, I just put it down " I guess the guy called it in and he ate it there, iv never seen that before, very cool, the guy said after asking him it was ' really good, a little spicy" Now these were that very thin noodles but the picture on the wall showed the thick noodles ????, I will investigate further in the future. The only down fall of the place was that mom said the bathrooms were not very ...Kept ( my words not hers ) but out of site out of mind think?, but I will return to try something else, maybe the general so, or chicken lo mien.

On a rave from a friend their almond boneless chicken was amazing, we decided to get some. I got the General Tso and my mom got Almond Boneless. Let's start with the positives. Decent delivery time. Decent pricing. The second best General Tso I've ever had. If you're a fan, don't stray when you patron here. Negative? Worst Almond Boneless I've ever had. Worst my mom's ever had in her 50+ years. I mean, it just wasn't anything ABC like - by so much I called to make sure we got the right stuff! They said yes, so ok...it sucked. We have not been back here, instead sticking with our usual place for Chinese food.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
