Came in and they were closing in 30 minutes, I don't usually go to restaurants that close to closing but they had biscuits and gravy and served breakfast "all day." We were the only customers there busy the staff was very friendly and quick. The food was so good and completely satisfied my southern cravings!

Tasty little local chain! Nothing fancy, but a really good spot when you are wanting a quick breakfast/lunch/brunch. Let me tell you why I like this place: friendly service, variety of food options, lots of seating so they can accommodate crowds, fair pricing, tasty, quick service/food. My husband and I have stopped in here a couple of times mostly when in the area and running errands on the weekend. Usually fairly busy but we are always seated promptly due to a good sized dining room. Tons of options including sweet options, savory, large & small servings. They also offer lunch selections but we have always opted for breakfast foods because we love breakfast and will eat it anytime of the day! The first time, I was craving sweet and got a chocolate chip waffle [yes, I am an adult]. It was a little disappointing because the chips were just on top, not in the waffle, but they gave plenty of chocolate chips and it all melted down to deliciousness. It hit the spot even if I mildly regretted all that sugar later in the day. My husband got the Mediterranean Wrap and he really enjoyed it. The second time I got the tropical style omelette which came with cheese, ham and pineapple, It also came with hash browns and a choice of grits, toast or pancakes [I think those were the choices], I got grits! I was hesitant because of the pineapple but figured I'd give it a try. Very good and very generous size, so much food. That visit, my husband got a skillet [I can't remember which one] which comes with a choice of pancakes or toast and he got big pancakes along with it. We enjoyed it all and left very full. The food seriously comes out so fast and tastes fresh, we are definitely fans and will make this an occasional weekend treat when we have to drag ourselves out of bed for various errands. As a note, it is in a large strip mall and not super obvious so keep looking if you don't see it at first.

I really enjoy this restaurant. Everyone treats you like a regular even if it's your first time. The food is really good quality and at a decent price. It looks small on the outside but it's huge on the inside, with your choice of booths or a table. They obviously specialize in breakfast foods but they serve both breakfast and lunch options all day, they are only open until 3pm.

We are regulars and rarely have any complaints with this Flap Jacks. Service is good, food is hot and they work around your food allergies or preferences. Prices are reasonable and seating for large groups. French toast is my nephew all time favorite and he insists I mention often. I enjoy that regardless the hour of day I can order breakfast, lunch or dinner. The Western Omelette is one of my hubands favorites. Wish they would offer fresh pancake toppings rather than the canned pie filling toppings but it appears to be popular and my husband has no problem with it.

Ordered pancakes (DUh I LOVE pancakes!). If an option, I always order blueberry pancakes and my hubby always orders the old fashioned plain-Jane cakes. They had my coveted blues so I went with that and a side of sausage links. Our waitress was phenomenal! Very nice, quick to bring out soda refills, and checked on us several times. A+ for service!! Our food cake out quick, hot, and as ordered. I was disappointed in that the blueberry is just that canned syrup-stuff that is really sweet. I mean it's tasty but fresh fruits would have gotten the place up to four stars. You get 4 cakes in a typical stack. Meat was tasty, no issues there. Some of the reviews on here seemed crazy bad. We had a good time and the food was what I expected. I would definitely go back if on 10th St. again, but the joint didn't WOW me or anything so I have other preferred pancake huts I'd hit up.

Atmosphere is great. Crowded.but no too noisy. Servers are excellent, with a great attitude. Food consistently is excellent. Flapjacks is a winner.

Food was well prepared. Although omelet ingredients (pico de gallo) weren't very fresh. But the omelet was otherwise expertly made and delicious. Side of pancakes were amazing as usual. service was pretty good too though i was a bit too tired for the chipper personality my server had....but i was groggy and grumpy. Good job guys and gals!! One star deduction for the lack of fresh ingredients. I will gladly be back.

Flop Jack's? What a bad joke, a waste of time and money. I felt a little sorry for the older people who came here. There will always be a little crowd of people. Who have nothing to do, no ware to go. What I ordered, could they have made it any worse? Two boiled? Poached eggs? After the amount of cooking there was absolutely no flavor. A soup bowel of grits what the heck was that? Who would ever want to eat something like that? Bland it had no flavor of any kind in it. Two slices of uncut toast no butter, or very little. It doesn't matter very poorly prepared. Normally I would go two more, plus times. As I feel this is very unfair to write something like this after only one visit. Except for some ungodly reason. The waitress felt a need to sit an older couple right behind me. The restaurant was nearly empty. I could hear them discuss what they had ordered. The woman didn't think it was very good (some kind of Chinese)? She didn't finish it or even want to "doggie bag" it home. The male was about of the same opinion. Would that equal three visits? Normally I would not wait this long before writing something (look at the date of the pictures I posted). Since it was not that memorable, I didn't forget much. I give one star for the young blond waitress. She got dressed up in a set of tights before leaving for an aerobics class next door. Also since she knows about the quality of what is being served. I cannot give her a half a star.

This place was amazing. Fast service, great food and the price wasn't too bad for what we got. Will be back when we visit Indy again!

I love local, small, and family-run businesses. I truly want to support the little guy that is trying to make a difference and make their presence. I have to say that I am not impressed with Flap Jack's. I've been here several times and I've tried a number of menu items. The place is always packed, but I just don't get it. The prices are not worth what you get. They are missing the value boat when the flavor and quality just is not there. Possibly the worst biscuits and gravy I've had, EVER. Once again, I have given them a fair shake and tried a variety of menu items, different times, and across multiple occasions. I have to question whether the prized biscuits and gravy don't originate from a can and freezer. Nothing to write home about. Portion is average, the gravy is missing flavor, sausage, and a creamy appeal. Very bland. The biscuits appear to be fresh frozen and baked onsite. It just doesn't make sense. How hard is it to make them from scratch and serve them fresh. I might be wrong, but coming from a long history in the restaurant industry, a foodie by heart, and avid cook, the biscuits are a miss. The French toast is average. The omelets are average. The pancakes are average. The impression I get was Henry Ford was in the kitchen demonstrating the assembly line technique for cranking out bland, middle of the road, and basic kitchen techniques. I envision a can opener is the most used kitchen instrument at Flap Jack's. I try to highlight something positive at each place I visit for my reviews, but in my honest opinion, I just can't think of anything that is worthy of mention on their menu. Service is typically fast, accurate, and friendly. The restaurant front is usually attractive, clean, and well kept. The pricing on the menu items appears to be high for the quality. Disappointing each time. I wish I could be more supportive.

Came here on the first dawn of 2012. Okay, it was actually closer to 11am. The joint was packed, but the coffee was hot, the service fast, and the over-easy eggs perfectly over-easy. If flapjacks are pancakes on steroids, than these were, thick & dense & a bit dry. I don't think Paul Bunyan would've noticed the difference, but I had a hard time scarfing them lumberjack-style. Were I in the west-side boonies again, I'd give it another go.

Pretty good food but what pancake house doesn't have pure maple syrup vice table syrup. Would rather go to Cracker Barrel where they know this is a requirement!
