Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

This was our first time going, we are new to this part of Tampa so we thought we would go try this place out. The employees were pleasant, and we got a ton of food for what we paid. That being said the food was good but not great. Not bad but not our favourite. Not sure if I would go again.

Ming Gardens gets one star because they deliver and one because they had the best fried dumplings from any Chinese restaurant that I've ever ordered from. That being said, the rest of the meal was horrible. The hot and sour soup was more like sweet and sour sauce that had been heated to boiling temperature and delivered to us. The entrees, beef w/broccoli, and kung pao chicken were just nasty. The beef, if it was beef, was slimy, had a rubbery texture, and no flavor. The broccoli and the rice were ok. The kung pao chicken was just gross. The rice was the same as the beef with broccoli dish, but the chicken was inedible. It was also rubbery and had a slimy texture. This dish was way too salty. How there was such a contrast, I have no idea. One with no flavor, one way over seasoned. Maybe my pallet was scalded from the soup. I'm not sure. What I am sure of is that I will never order from here again. The fantastic dumplings don't justify throwing $30.00 worth of food in the trash.

The only Chinese restaurant that stays open until 3am!! Late nite munchies.

Unlike the idiot that gave this restaurant a 2 star rating on 11/4/2011, I really disagree with him. The scenery is in a urban area where there are people, like 95% of the US, there are people walking around the neighborhood surrounding the restaurant. News flash that's not an unusual thing. The restaurant is not the most attractive place, in fact its not really a place you'd really want to stick around to enjoy the food. Its probably 2 tables in the place that could see at most 3 people each. The food is excellent and they have the best egg rolls in Tampa! The wings are pretty decent and priced fair especially if you decide to get the dinner which includes fried rice (which can be veggie, pork, chicken or shrimp). The food is always great and well worth the trip. The workers are quite nice and have great attitudes. I call in my order to save time. But they are pretty good as far as time.

As noted in my other reviews of Chinese restaurants, most are similar and fall in the mid-range of quality so you are neither repulsed nor delighted. This particular one is in the low range, the food is not really bad but the general atmosphere is grim. Admittedly the neighborhood is not very scenic on the corner of Tampa Ave. & Columbus, and the heavy foot-traffic and loitering by street people makes it hard for a restaurant to sparkle. But this one is dingy & cramped, cranking out low-cost asian standards and lots of fried wings & other chicken parts to suit the tastes & budgets of the regular clientele.......who can then board a bus at the stop out front.

Hooking this place up because they're everything you'd expect them to be. Cheap, open pretty late, dingy, and mildly questionable. I love a good cheap Chinese spot and this place delivers. Their vegetable fried rice + general tso's tofu will satiate even the hungriest vegans appetite for $7.50. Gotta love that. This place is not somewhere you'd want to sit down and eat, but for pickup it's just peachy Don't sleep on the crab rangoons either - you get like 12 for $4

I'm sad because I feel like this is the first time Yelp has ever lead me wrong. While at a friend's house for dinner last night I convinced everyone to order from here instead of Ho-Ho's To Go because it had better Yelp reviews. I was rather disappointed. Our food wasn't terrible, per say, just not great or noteworthy in any positive way. My General Tso's chicken was mostly breading with very little chicken inside. My husband got the house special fried rice and didn't even eat half of it. (Which, it's very unusual for him to not finish a meal.) The only remotely positive thing I can say was that our fried pork dumplings were good. Again, just good. Not great. Wouldn't recommend this place, stick with Ho-Ho's.

Seriously the best take out Chinese I've had in Tampa. All of your favorites with a few specials to accommodate the 'hood. (Ribs, fried chicken. You get the idea.) General Taos Shrimp is amazing. The spring rolls actually taste fresh. Their sauces are flavorful and veggies taste fresh. As a lady, I personally have never stepped inside. I recommend sending your brother or husband. But it's well worth the adventure.

A great New York style Chinese restaurant in a pretty sketchy neighborhood. Totally worth ordering takeout and picking it up as I've never had a problem with the area. The food is always fresh and the service and time it takes to receive the order is on point.

Amazingly delicious food, very friendly staff. Lunch specials are the best in town. Would recommend to anyone.

Gross! I had a few friends over and we ordered delivery... I had to call and remind them after 45 minutes to ask them how much longer it would be. The woman said that "they forgot" (what?!?). I was so embarrassed when the food finally came... It was cold and absolutely disgusting. We ordered chicken lo mein, chicken and broccoli, hot and sour soup, spareribs (which they never delivered... I guess they forgot about that too), and crab wonton. The only thing even slightly edible was the hot and sour soup. I will never go back to this place... Even if the zombie apocalypse comes and it's the last place to order food. Gross, gross, gross. Is there a way to give negative stars?

Took a delivery from this place tonight. Delivery was quick, the broccoli was cooked to perfection. The sauce was exactly as I requested, and my order of steamed dumplings was oh-so-de-lish. Might just be my new local fave.

Thank you for providing delivery to Ybor. After reading Mike S. review I must say, there are times where Yelp must step in and remove a persons reviews. His ignorant and very racist comments are not necessary, nor are they helpful to this community. Hey Mike, I happen to love Chicken wings and other parts!! After traveling throughout the world, I appreciate this restaurant for delivering to my home a quality general Tso and hot and spicy soup. Mike you're just another bigot!!
