The food was okay and the service was okay. Nothing special and too exciting. This place is designed like an old school country restauraunt. Good place to eat for when you're too lazy to make your own traditional American breakfast. I have yet to try their other menu. Perhaps I will.

My Cracker Barrel experience was nice. My husband had the fish and grits, and they were ok. I've definitely had better fish and grits, but they weren't horrible. I had the chicken fried chicken. Even though I have had better chicken fried chicken, it was still pretty good. The cornbread muffins will really get you in trouble (b/c its hard to leave them alone). I guess what made this meal so nice was our waitress. She was great. She was always on time checking on us, she spent a few minutes chatting with us, etc. Would I go back???? YES!!! After we finished our meal, my husband and I spent some time sitting in the rocking chairs outside, with the music playing in the background, and played a game of checkers on their "checker-top-table". It was a nice end to a meal!

Service and management terrible... After messing up all 4 of our orders the waiter got mad and started cursing... The manager offered our drinks to be free.. What a mess. The food was cold and nasty didn't even eat half of it and waited over an hour... I will never dine in any cracker barrel again after this experience...

Service was so-so at first, no plates for the cornbread and biscuits. But it got better. The food was fast and excellent, like always! Had the apple chicken salad. It tasted as good as it looked, and it definitely filled me up. My fiancée had her chicken dumplings, the usual. And her mother had country fried steak. Check out was fast and friendly. Perfect meal!

When it comes to breakfast, I'm all about Cracker Barrel. It's reasonably priced, the biscuits are amazing, and shopping at their country store post meal is something I look forward to with each visit. I love their seasonal menus, especially summer where they add fresh salads and fruity iced teas!

Love it, the food and service are great. It gets a little crowded on weekends for the breakfast/brunch/lunch but I love the food and will always be a fan

Well The BF, some friends, and I are out of town and where do you go when you're out of town??? CRACKER BARREL!! This restaurant is two-faced. One face is the food - which I give all the credit to the cooks in the kitchen. They sure do know how to make some great breakfast. The other face, the ugly face, is the service. We were a table of 7 and 4 out of the 7 meals were incorrect. The BF did not get the fried apples included in his meal. Also our meals came out at random times - one of them even came out once everyone was finished eating! Our waiter only had 1 star on his apron. I don't think he is quite ready to handle a table of 7. He apologized excessively about everything to the point where it annoyed us. We love cracker barrel and will be back, but just not to this one.

Service was good, quality food, also was able to buy an anniversary card as well, talk about multi-tasking. Little pricey for breakfast though!

When I landed at about 10am, Saint G. said "want to eat breakfast at the Cracker Barrel?" and I jumped at the chance! Where else can you get the Old Timer's Breakfast which comes with 2 eggs, scrambled well done with cheese, 2 turkey sausage patties, hash browns, grits, 2 biscuits, apple butter, real butter, sweet tea, and some kind of gravy stuff? Can you say food coma? If there was a Cracker Barrel near my house, let's just say I'd weigh 300 pounds. Wow! I love this place!

I love Cracker Barrel. They food that they serve is so delicious, for a good non- expensive price, too. Certain servers stand out. Just so nice and warming. Even if something goes wrong with your order that isnt their falt, they still will apologize.

I'm never one to go out to Cracker Barrel or any franchised, country-cooking restaurant, but the service I received today is worthy of bragging. Our waitress, Brooke, provided us with such great care. A group of needy college students asking for a bunch of biscuits and water, all while the restaurant is packed on a Sunday afternoon, were served with patience and professionalism. Shout out to you Brooke. She only has one star too. "I got 'chu."

Had lunch here today. It was decent. Arrived here with a friend and got seated very quickly. Service was quick, but i did feel a little rush to order my meal. After ordering, the meal arrived quite quickly. I got the chicken fried chicken dinner. Basically fried chicken breast with 3 sides of your choice and a biscuit. The chicken tasted decent and portion size is quite large. It had white gravy on it but tasted a little too thick and dried out. One of my sides was mash potatoes. It tasted like it has been sitting out under the hot lamp for a little too long as it was a bit dry. Coleslaw was tasty with a bit of sweetness to add to it, definitely enjoyable. The biscuits also came with a side of gravy, as i stated earlier the gravy is a little too thick and dried out. Overall the server was kind and attentive. Food is good with large portion sizes, you wont leave here feeling hungry. This wouldnt be my number one choice for lunch but wouldnt mine coming back.

Not the greatest of Cracker Barrels! It's just ho-hum. Seems almost like a bad Waffle House. Just wish corporate would kick this into gear. Seems this whole area acts lower class, not use to the lack of southern charm similar to Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee & so on

I'm from the East Coast but since living in California, every time I visit a Cracker Barrel, I have to give it 5-stars. This place is no exception. Good Service Great Food No complaints

i was there today to just have some quiet time ...i decided to order the chicken and dumplings and i was shocked to see a childs plate...i paid $7.96 for a chicken dumpling dinner and i got a childs version. I was unhappy, but i decided not to say anything, but i was shocked because i was there 2 days prior for lunch and i got my chicken and dumpling dinner as usual and i had no complaints, but after today, i guess they are making the dinners smaller portion, but i decided to just eat and go,,,,,i am just a little disappointed

Sometimes when you have a hangover, all that will cure it is biscuits from Cracker Barrel. So you drive to your local Cracker Barrel, hope there isn't too long of a line, and you get a table. You order chicken fried chicken and some of that hashbrown casserole and biscuits. You wash it all down with diabetes-inducing sweet tea. And you don't care that this is a chain, or that the food isn't that great (it's salty, it's greasy, it's processed). All that you care about is that you got food in your stomach ASAP. This Cracker Barrel is just like all the other Cracker Barrels. Mediocre chain food, mediocre chain service, mediocre chain atmosphere. And as with ALL Cracker Barrels, try to get there early or at off-peak times.

Food 3.5 - chain average Ambiance 3.5 - chain average Price 4 - chain average Service 4.5 - above average Since price/food/ambiance is same for this chain, the review is mostly for service at this location. we did not have to wait and waitress was very attentive.

Service was good and fast. They were short handed and the hostess made me aware of this fact when I sat down. Good was served quickly and hot. Tasty as always at CB.

The food was very bland and the service was terrible. We waited quite a bit throughout our whole meal. We were seated right away, but our server took about 15 minutes to say he would be right with us. We ordered our meal, ate, and when we wanted our check, our server was nowhere to be found. We didn't get drink refills and had to search for him for our check. The server never even came over to ask how everything was. That experience coupled with the very bland food , and I will not go to a Cracker Barrel again.

Something's changing at Cracker Barrel, some good, some bad: Let's start with the good: They've added little shelves above each table to help clear the space. Between the menus, ketchup, salt and pepper, and peg game things got a little hectic. Now there's a shelf and all your table top must haves are just a reach away. Now the bad: Recently went there and ordered the usual: Cracker Barrel Sampler, which includes chicken n' dumplins, meatloaf and country or sugar Cured Ham. I ALWAYS forgo the ham and get more of the dumplins or meatloaf. This time, after the order was placed the server said that I can no longer order more of one and skip the ham, but they'd make an exception this time. I was shocked. Is putting more dumplins on a plate and skipping the ham that hard? I really don't like seeing businesses providing a service with no problem and then changing it because of a new procedure. Am I being dramatic? Probably. But gosh darn it, Cracker Barrel - I'm hurt! I'll be honest, it's going to take a lot more than that to make me not like coming here, but let's not get testy!

Although the service at Cracker Barrel is usually friendly and competent (usually), I've come to realize that I just don't enjoy their food. I've eaten at this location (and others) many times because it's convenient and because a kids' meal (which could be a grilled cheese sandwich and a side) comes with a free drink for a very low price. Here's the thing, though. My grilled cheese sandwich is always dripping with something that I will charitably assume is intended to replicate the taste of butter. Its actual taste is closer to hash browns from Waffle House, only not as crispy. And the sides mostly taste like salt. (There's probably a very good reason for that.) The new fresh/healthy sides aren't as salty, and they actually taste like food. But I just can't get enthusiastic about cucumbers and onions. And I hate myself for saying this, but: "...and the portions are too small!"

My wife's family is from the Southern Virginia/Kentucky area, so every once in a while we had to cracker barrel where she either gets some kind of vegetable and sides or a chicken with dumplings. Even my granddaughter now eats fried okra. I tend to stay with the Country Fried Steak and mashed potatoes with white gravy and a potion of green beans. We usually go out into the store and pick up a small can of Virginia Peanuts. Everyone waddles out the door and we sit in the rocking chairs for "a might". Service has never been a problem for us here. And the atmosphere is standard Cracker Barrel, comfortable.

Or can never go wrong with Cracker Barrel: it's always got great food and great service. The food comes out relatively fast and you can always entertain yourself with the peg game. The store is a cool collection if stuff you can look at after you eat too. Overall a great place to have breakfast or lunch.

Cracker Barrel is just something that southerners crave. It's kind of an institution. It's an excuse to not have to cook and go out and get a down home country style meal reminiscent of what you grew up on but with no effort. Usually, this chain has satisfied my need to be unwilling to cook yet still chow down on the foods I grew up on. I will say this, my wife and I stopped in the day after thanksgiving, tired from some early morning Home Depot shopping so I won't be over critical. I'm sure they had a crazy crowd the previous day and were adjusting after the menu shift to something worthy of being Thanksgiving. However, the mashed potatoes were cold and flaky. Not the creamy kind I've come to know. The Mac n' cheese was lukewarm and there was some kind of dark, gelatinous skin mixed in. The chicken fried steak was just the way it should be and the sawmill gravy (as known by most people) is something you hope to replicate at home. It's a chain, it's good. Just had a sub-par experience this time. Hopefully next time it turns out a little better.

I like you, Cracker Barrel. Your bacon is delicious, I could live on your hash brown casserole, and I enjoy your Old Country Store. I don't like visiting you on a Sunday when you're inundated with church goers, though. Your food is yummy and your waitresses are friendly despite the fact that they almost always mess up my order or forget something. But I forgive, because you give me warm syrup with my French toast. You know how I feel about warm syrup, and for that, I appreciate you.

This is not your average Cracker Barrel. Horrible Service! We brought it to the managers attention and he proceeded to explain how we should have said something to someone earlier. We could have if there was anyone who came by our table earlier which was our complaint. Lol! Honestly, the food wasn't bad. However, there are other location close that offer better service.
