I am always a little skeptical of take out Chinese places, but I heard good things about China Gardens from quite a few people in the neighborhood so I decided to give it a whirl. I think I found my new go to Chinese take out spot in the hood! We called and ordered and they said it would be ready in 10 minutes. We hopped in the car and the food finished up just about 2 minutes after we arrived. The portions were heaping and the food was as expected for take out Chinese. I am happy to have found a reliable spot for a quick Chinese meal in Seminole Heights!

Very easy to miss this place- as it's in the corner of a rather questionable Kwik Stop shopping center. But, finally ordered food from here last night. I'm now super happy to know that I have a chinese take out place so close! Food was good- generous portions, decent prices. I mean, it's chinese take out. The menu is extensive- and while you can't find this specific one online, it's just like any generic chinese menu you will find.

A pleasant surprise! It's no Yummy House, but it also costs about one-third of what Yummy House does. My beef with broccoli "platter" was cheap, plentiful, and everything seemed relatively fresh. The egg roll that came with the platter actually tasted as though it might have been hand-made... The food was not super greasy, and didn't seem loaded with MSG. I will definitely try China Gardens again!

For cheap, fast Chinese food this is the place. The chicken teriyaki is great - 6 pieces for like $4. The shrimp egg rolls are good and have a nice ginger taste. Had the pork lo mien and beef & broccoli and both were good. I'd recommend avoiding the dumplings as the dough is too thick and the filling is just okay. Remember it's cash only.

God I love this place. It's the only cheap Chinese joint I've found in Tampa where you can get bourbon chicken that isn't soggy, bland garbage. Egg rolls and crab Rangoon are consistently crispy and hot, and the DUMPLINGS... the dumplings are huge and flavorful and I could eat them all day.

The food is just fine with the amazing price especially lunch special and dinner combo if you are by yourself. The service is great and all staff are really nice. They cook crazy fast for me who also cook at home. If you do not need a nice atmosphere nor well decorative restaurant. I am sure this is the place for your taste buds and budget.

By far excellent quality considering the price. It's just great Chinese food. Hot sour soup rocks. Sweet and sour pork is crispy. Pick up only, no delivery. Call it in, it'll be ready be the time you get there. 10 mins, tops. By the way, the portions are huuuuggggggeeeee!!!

Typical Chinese takeout with 100+ combinations available. They don't have a website, but their menu is identical to every other NY-style Chinese restaurant. While waiting for my food inside the restaurant, I was approached by a poor middle-aged lady who was crying. She asked for money. I'm okay with giving a few bucks to folks who are down on their luck, but I don't think the owners of China Gardens should allow such solicitations in their restaurant. Good thing I didn't give away all of my cash, because when I tried using my Visa to pay for my meal, the guy informed me the restaurant is CASH ONLY. Yikes! Blast from the past. I ordered General Tso's extra extra spicy. Unfortunately, I couldn't really tell that it was spicy at all--definitely not the "extra extra spicy" that I'd specified. The meat was tougher than average. Disappointing. One positive thing--large portions for very cheap. My meal of chicken, rice, and an egg roll was $7.25. I ate a lot of food and still had about half of it left over. Definitely not the cleanest place... but then again, this is on Nebraska Ave so your expectations can't be too high. The prior review noted this place as "super clean." Things have obviously gone downhill over the past two years. (Also true of America... but that's another story.) When the Chinese cravings strike, this boy will continue playing it safe with Pei Wei.

Always hot. Generous portions and consistently delicious food. The owner, Li, is sweet and hard-working!

Underwhelming. The food was dry and they forgot our eggrolls. The only good thing is the price and timely service.

NY style take away. HUGE portions and seemed super clean. Really good even after reheating because the starter was so big couldn't even touch my main until the next day!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
