We went here for our 20th wedding anniversary. We had a delightful time and everything was just wonderful. The staff makes you feel like family. They tolerated our bad French with grace. The ambiance is romantic, the food just fabulous, but the staff was what made it so special. I highly recommend for your special occasion dining or just for a fabulous taste of France. We were thrilled to have spent our anniversary here. We had the cheese and charcuterie to start. Yum! My spouse had the pork tenderloin with mustard sauce. I had the special: mussels and french fries. So delicious! Truly enjoyed it. Don't hesitate to dine here!

Oh la la!! What an amazing dining experience for four of us! It was our first night in town.. We wondered around for great restaurant on saturday night without reservation! Checked several places and ended up with this little cute intimate restaurant! We're so thankful they had one table available. The atmosphere inside truly remind me of dining experience in Paris. My beef borguignon was Amazing, Perfection, melted in my mouth!! Love love this place!!! Everyone was happy with what they got!!!!!!!

Best food I've had in a long time and I'm from Chicago. Glad to know my new home has something as incredible as this. Boeuf Bourguignon was amazing as was the onion soup, lamb and fondant Au Chocolat. Go here you won't be disappointed.

I don't know where to start:( That day was so special for us it was our wedding anniversary and after great day fishing and spending time with my husband on a lake and in town of Breckinridge, I looked at the good reviews on yelp for a good restaurant and saw this restaurant with great reviews. We thought you would try it based on the reviews. So what I want to say is this restaurant is not for "simple" working people! It's way overpriced . Out tap was about 170$ for two of us for one appetizer and 2 main courses and plus 2 glass of wine. Second some people Love over attention but the owners were tooooo much welcome so there are 6 people work there every single of them just keep coming and asking how is everything!! So how was everything? We waited on our main dishes for over an hour!!!!! If you have that time to spend and money to spend over 170$ for just two people for dinner than yeah go for it.

Where to begin? We were greeted warmly by the owner and immediately realized this wasn't your ordinary restaurant. We were family... and in Paris. Seating was cozy, but the incredibly friendly service made it feel so natural. The restaurant is run by a family from France; literally, everyone who serves is related! We only ordered the French Onion Soup (we were slightly caught off guard by the entree prices, but would love to come back and splurge someday as the food looked AMAZING). The French Onion Soup was some of the best I've ever had! They were understanding when we let them know we'd only be staying for appetizers and a drink (high quality imported beer), stating "do what you want... You're in Paris!" But to top it off, Mary Jo, our waitress and pastry chef asked us if we'd prefer fruit or chocolate. She then reset our table and brought out a delicious fruit dessert (similar to creme brûlée), explaining that she loves dessert and couldn't bear to see us finish a meal without it. Wonderful! We were BLOWN AWAY and will recommend Le Petit Paris for as long as it's in business.

Authentic French cuisine is putting it mildly! Staff & owner are from France and they have a love of sharing incredible meals fit for real foodies.. Many other diners were French too which is the best measure of authenticity here, right down to beverages, ambiance and quality. 5 Stars !!

I finally made it here for my first time last Wednesday night with my husband who has dined here many times. And WOW, what an experience. First of all, it is not pretentious nor stuffy, but perfect comfortable ambiance. I just can't say enough how nice the food and service were. Mary Jo, Ariel (sisters) and their niece (cannot remember her name) truly make this restaurant. So genuine and really interested in your experience in their restaurant. We had escargot, arugala salad (had fried quail egg in it) beef bourguignon, veal medallions. It was all superb, awesome food and experience. I cannot wait to go back in two weeks. Just get in there and you'll love it! Cheers!

Words fail me. I asked the chef to prepare a tasting menu for me and the result was perfectly wonderful. Portions are appropriately sized. Service is very thoughtful and professional and the food is the best I've had during my visit to Breckenridge.

Let me start by saying I usually qualify my 5 star reviews, e.i. "This is a 4 star restaurant but for being in an airport it's a 5" etc. this is not one of those reviews. La Petit Paris is a 5 star restaurant no matter where in the world you put it or how you slice it. The owners (two Parisian sisters from what I'm told) are always roaming the floor checking on your experience, helping you pick wine, or in my case teaching you the finer points of calvados and cognac. I admitted, while my knowledge of French food is pretty good, I had never had cognac before. I was immediately launched into a masters course in French brandies complete with tastes of the different options they carried. I was even taught how to properly serve a snifter of the holy liquid, "if you ever go elsewhere and they serve you brandy in an un-warmed glass you send it back and wave them away, tell them to call me and I will teach them how it is done." We started with the cheese and charcuterie board and the escargot. The escargot, quite possibly, may be the best I've ever had. I then had the rabbit cassoulet which was amazing. I almost forgot to mention they paired my wine for me, a Sauvignon Blanc that complemented both the escargot and the rabbit beautifully. We finished with the profiteroles, which may sound simplistic, but OMFG theirs are perfect. It's like an adult ice cream sandwich and their chocolate sauce is to die for. I have never met any business owners who care as much about their business and customers as the two women who own and operate La Petit Paris. There are those rare institutions you find where there is an element of magic to the experience. It could be on the personal level where the staff is fantastic and enhances your experience throughout the whole meal. It could be in the ambience where the surroundings are as integral to the meal as the food. Or it could be the food itself (duh!) which for some reason or another blows your mind. Then there is the even rarer instance where you find a place where the Venn diagram intersect for all three. La Petit Paris is that place, I have no hesitation in recommending this place for anyone.

Found this place while looking at houses in the area. The food was fabulous, authentic and priced exactly as it deserves. The service was utterly impeccable and we loved meeting the owner! She was super friendly and made us feel very at home! We've since purchased our home and I think this will be our go-to date night spot!

Can I start by saying magnifique?! This adorable little french restaurant has stolen my heart and is easily the best one I have ever been to. The atmosphere: warm, welcoming and wonderful! There is nothing more comforting than coming into a lovely, cozy eatery when you have been outside in the freezing cold. My parents and I were welcomed immediately and they offered to take our coats. Now, I have seen some people commenting negatively on La Petite Paris' decor. Don't be a hater! If you are looking for something edgy and modern, this isn't the place for you. I like it because its comforting, almost like going to my grandmother's house. French dining is traditionally spent in very close quarters. Anyways, on to the food and wine. We started with a red the owner recommended us which was delightful and paired it with a cheese board. It was filled with an assortment of french cheeses, fresh apple slices and honey. The brie was heaven. Then came the main course. My dad ordered the special, Chilean Sea Bass with butternut squash, veg, and a beautiful sauce. My mom and I ordered the Ruby Red Trout with mushroom risotto and pistachios. This was all paired with a delicious white wine that was also recommended by her. It was all cooked to perfection and absolutely divine. I highly recommend ordering fish here, it is incredible! We hardly had room for dessert. But the owner insisted we have dessert and it isn't too difficult to get me to say yes to chocolate. My dad ordered creme brulee with fresh berries, my mom ordered chocolate cake and I ordered the profiteroles. Everything was once again delicious, all paired with a little cup of espresso to wash it down. My profiteroles were stuffed with homemade ice cream and topped with luscious chocolate ganache. My parents enjoyed theirs very much as well. Here's a secret: One of the owner's makes all the desserts from scratch, including the delicious chocolate ganache! The customer service was wonderful, I felt very welcomed and taken care of. They check to make sure everything is perfect and try to get to know you. The coat check and the no cell phone policy is a huge bonus. There is nothing worse than someone answering a phone call loudly in the middle of a romantic dinner. We had such a wonderful evening and I will definitely be back next time I'm in Breckenridge.

Incredible dinner with impeccable service and a family feeling. Onion soup better than in Paris. Fish and steak with pomme Frits done perfectly. Great wine knowledge. Dessert was fantastic with champagne and egg over fruit - delicious. We will definitely be back. They are from Paris and it shows. Felling of an old country house inside. We were easily able to talk to each other at a nice table for two. Very highly recommend this restaurant.

We didn't actually get to try the food here, as the service ran us off before our full order was placed. First, you can't have a sweater on your chair - this upsets the owners, and they come around to check periodically that your sweater is on you and not the chair. Second, you can't order any appetizers or starters or drinks until you order your entrees. Third, the chef makes the final call on any and all substitutions (e.g., salad for fries). In addition to some incredibly uncomfortable interactions with the staff, this was enough for us to leave the restaurant without having successfully ordered anything. We've come to Breck every year a few times a year since I was 7, and this was our first and last time at Le Petit Paris.

The new Chef has arrived. Loved the food before, it is look to heavens amazing now. Pork chop with an amazing mustard sauce, and veal chop with sauce du foie gras are both new dishes to the menu that we have tried. At this writing, he has been there about two weeks. His arrival has an epic story behind it. Ariel and Mary Jo just make it feel like a holiday at home every time we go. If you are there in the winter, you must have mussels and fries! Call ahead to reserve it, and I hope I don't regret telling you and they run out of them the next time I am there. If you aren't sure how to pick a good wine with your meal, Ariel will pick oh so very well. We have had Colton twice this summer and he is a marvelous waiter.

This spot feels so homey in the middle of Breckinridge; no matter where you are from. There are some house rules that you should know however: 1. No jackets on the back of chairs - so yes, give them to the doorman. 2. No cell phone calls at the table (which is fine by me). 3. No spoons for the escargot --- use bread to soak up that butter. 4. Don't come in for just a drink. She'll tell you it serves dinner... It's not a bar. We started with half cheese half meats. So good! The warm honey was delightful. We moved to the French Onion Soup. Yummy, but sweet. The owner told us that it's so good that many people cry. Next escargot. See rules above. The main courses were red trout and short ribs. Both were delicious. The best thing about this experience... Even better than the food, were the hugs from the owners, the atmosphere, the tables singing Happy Birthday in French, the crazy Christmas lights, decorations and pictures in the menu.... Just the overall atmosphere. Homey, warm and inviting. We loved it!! ... And if you want to know if you're having a boy or girl in the future... Just hint. You don't even have to be prego and she'll swear she is right. It's a great night with great people and great food!

We celebrated a 70th birthday this evening at Le Petit Paris. The owner, Ariele warmly greeted us upon arrival, and from that point forward we were part of the family and had a wonderful dining experience. The food and wine were authentic French, outstanding in quality and the service was friendly, efficient, and how service in a high-end restaurant should be. The entrees we had were the arctic char, the chicken and beef bourginon - all first rate, prepared in true French style with just the right portions. The staff sang happy birthday in French (of course), and ensured that we had a very special evening. In our opinion, for special occasions or otherwise, you can't go wrong with this excellent restaurant!

This place is definitely overrated. Certainly the place has a nice ambiance and the strong but friendly French attitude of the owner is quite amusing. Go here if you are looking for a romantic dinner but expect average food. My crusted trout was very salty and otherwise tasteless. Their famous Onion soup was good and the meat & cheese plate was nice.

Our 5 star review extends far beyond just the food, which let me just say was magnifique', but also represents the ambiance and life in this tiny restaurant. I honestly anticipated just having a nice french meal while visiting the mountains but that was not the case. The two sisters, that have owned and operated it for the last 8yrs, have found a way to magically transport you to Paris if even for a few small hours. They hug and kiss you Hello and goodbye, they freeze iced tea into cubes so your tea will never water down, they use hand towels in the restroom instead of paper and they surround you with dimly lit xmas lights to make ur picture perfect meal complete. They have put such thought and care into every detail you cant help but to fall in love. My husband had the Boeuf Bourguignon and I had the trout with lemon creme sauce over Risotto. Every bite was decadent and deserved its own attention. I couldn't think of a better way to spend our Anniversary. It is on the pricier side of dining but well worth every penny. Spare yourself a month of corporate owned restaurants and fast food sadness and indulge in this majestic experience. I promise you wont be disappointed.

If I could give a business 10 stars, this would be the one and only!! The two sisters that own this place are just incredible. You absolutely come here for the experience - never mind the fact that the food is outstanding. The menu is intimidating at First because it's giant, but then you realize the actual food menu is just one page. Everything here is incredibly fresh, you really cannot go wrong with anything you order. I will say though, it's hands down the BEST French onion soup you will ever taste. For entrees we ordered the mussels, lamb and almond crusted trout. All of which were phenomenal. Apparently Colorado lamb is of the best quality, and boy did it taste that way! For dessert we ordered the profiteroles and the chocolate molten lava cake. I honestly can't tell you which I liked better, so you might as well order them both too. If you're going to have a special dinner, romantic evening, or are simply looking for the best restaurant in town, come here!!!

The steak was lacking in flavor, had to add tons of salt to give it some flavor. The French fries were good. Overall this place was over priced for what you get! Just go for the soup and pass on the rest!

Do not judge a book by its cover! We weren't huge fans of the fake flower decor but do not let that stop you from giving this restaurant a chance. The food was AMAZING!! I had the Ruby Red trout while my wife had the beef bourginion and our kids had the herb chicken. All the main dishes were incredible and the service was warm and welcoming. The sisters that own the restaurant make you feel like family and we actually hugged them after our meal. For dessert, we had the Chocolate Molten Lava cake and kids had ice cream. We will come here every trip to Breck from here on out. WOW!!

Ordered the mussels, French onion soup and beef Bourgogne, absolutely loved the mussels and dipping sauce. We got there around 8:15pm and they only had one mussel dish left so we ordered it and were not disappointed. The French Onion soup has a LOT of cheese, so if you are a cheese lover, you will like it. The beef was very tender and we liked it as well.

Magnificique! Whimsical French Bistro with a stand-out menu and boisterous owners/staff. A bit of a special occasion place in that you need reservations and a large appetite. Classic french fare (think cassoulet, bourguignon, escargot and my fav, french onion soup) that comes with some cheekiness from Arielle and her sister. They are gracious hosts and even more gracious chefs - but oh my! That French Onion Soup.... Densely brothy, full of shallot body, with a baguette properly perched on top, not that you would know, because it and the whole bowl are covered in a creamily crisp blanket of cheese. Decadent and savory. The best I've ever had.

My cousin and her (now) husband had their rehearsal lunch here. And I feel like I'm repeating what everyone else has said The sisters who own the joint are hilarious and entertaining just them being themselves Service- excellent especially since there was about 40 of us there. The decor is kind of old and somewhat cheesy but I got past that really quickly because its just a comfortable atmosphere. Food- French onion soup was the best I have ever had. Our entree options were chicken (toasted), beef (like a short rib), steak or fish (trout maybe?) everyone raved about everything. You can't go wrong with any dish. Their French fries are also something special. Dessert- don't skimp on the Creme brûlée. HEAVEN. Great place to go. Do it.

This is the sweetest, cutest and honestly the friendliest place you will EVER to go. The staff welcomes you with open arms, literally! And parting is like saying goodbye to family. So basically awesome awesome service. The food is great too. The french onion is really authentic and delicious! The rest of the menu is also great, but I just wish that they offered a la carte sides with main course. This is why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. The owner greets you at the door, takes your coats and whisks you into a little bit of Paris in the mountains. Onion soup done like in France, wonderful and beautifully presented plates, lamb-excellent; beef bourginone-excellent, and desserts to die for(done by the owners sister!) This is as good as French bistro food gets. I am from San Diego and there are only two places close to this back home(and way pricier). Thank you Ariel for TWO wonderful evenings.

Le Petite Paris is a regular favorite for date nights with my wife. The food is excellent. The ingredients are fresh and superb. Each entree I've tried has been wonderful. The staff are knowledgable and treat you with such courtesy and respect. I've always felt that for that evening my wife and I were the most important people in the world. The atmosphere is very intimate. The evening is complete with French pop music playing from the bar. The prices are a little steep. However, you're purchasing a total experience: service, food, and atmosphere. Each meal I've had at Le Petite Paris has proved excellent on each count. I would recommend dressing for the occasion. While a tie isn't necessary, a jacket would be recommended for men. At the very least, men should wear a collared shirt and slacks. I've seen shorts and t-shirts on some diners, but they certainly looked out of place.

Oh Yelp, why oh why can't we do half stars? We LOVED our experience at La Petite Paris and I would give them 4.5 stars if I could. Unfortunately I had to deduct a half a point because their strong point is definitely not in seafood. We had such a pleasant experience here. The restaurant is warm and cozy and they make you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. The man at the front offered to take our coats right and away and the owner and her sister (who ended up being our waitress) both walked us to our table. Our waitress was so welcoming and friendly. She walked us through the specials and was just so accommodating. We started with the house salad which albeit on the small side, was very tasty. I had the veal and seafood special and my fiance had the sea bass special. I was really looking forward to the seafood portion of my meal, the entree came with a prawn and scallop but both were a little fishy tasting so it was the freshest seafood I have tasted. My fiance's sea bass was not very memorable either. However my veal was a veal chop which was a pleasant surprise since I have rarely seen veal served this way. It was a succulent piece of meat, very tender and cooked medium rare. Also my favorite part was I got to pick up the bone and bite off the rest of the meat. Yes I know, very lady like of me...what can I say, I love my finger food. Don't worry they also provided me with a little bowl to dip my fingers in so they are prepared for people to do this. :) For dessert we had the creme brulee which was so creamy and delicious. We ordered a bottle of cab and it was a very drinkable red wine with our dinner. The service is impeccable here, not only is it attentive but they really do make you feel like you are an important guest at their home. It was really such a treat to dine here!

If an intimate dinner with your partner in a small dim lit French restaurant where everyone is really French, they serve excellent food, and you are able to afford at least a few of the finer things in life, then this place is exactly where you need to head. The staff as a collective team was outstanding, you could order in English or French, and they encouraged semi-French speakers to give it a shot without snooty repercussions. I loved listening to the tables next to us give it their best shot. I tried their special of the night which was veal with scallop and prawn. They ran out of prawns, so they upgraded me to half a lobster tail at no additional cost. Nothing in the world better than free lobster :) If you have one shot at a anniversary dinner, or a special night, this is definitely a place I would recommend. Reservations are almost mandatory also. I called in and wanted a 6pm dine, and they asked if 5:45 was ok... definitely good with their recommendation as it was full by the time we were leaving.

I am shocked with all the outstanding reviews for this restaurant. This place is VERY pricey but that does not equal great food. The staff members/owners were VERY friendly and welcoming, but again, personality does not equal great food. We went last weekend, and we made reservations because we thought on a Friday night such a wonderful place would be packed. Well, we were the ONLY people in the restaurant for the first hour of our meal, with one other table of 4 coming in around 9pm. Mind you, this was during the Pro Cycling Challenge, so there were definitely people in town, and I'm sure a lot of them were looking for food to eat. House Salad- about a cup of mixed greens with shaved carrot not worth $7.50. Onion Soup- good, but nothing different or spectacular especially at $7.50 for a tiny cup of it. $8.50 for a bowl. The steak and frites- steak had a weird almost artificial smokey flavor, and apparently they age it "in house". It was tough but fatty and just not good at all. The waitress raved about the fries which were good, but not so good that she needed to specifically mention them. For $34 we could have cooked a pound of filet at home that tasted 10x better. Sole in parchment- this was one of the biggest ordering mistakes I have made in my life. They made a huge deal of bringing it to the table and unwrapping it in front of me and pouring a creamy looking sauce on top. After one bite I knew I hated my entree. It had NO flavor besides the faint essence of zucchini. If you have eaten zucchini before you know that it tastes like nothing. I squeezed the provided lemon on top. I added salt. I added pepper. There was still no taste. It was so bizarre not being able to taste anything. So basically texture was all I had to work with. Well... it was smushy and that was about it. Just awful. It was around $30 to boot, with 3 squash slices as the side dish. Roasted Chicken- my fiance's dad said it was NOT good and left more than half on his plate, we wrapped it up to bring home to our dog so $15 worth of chicken would not go to waste. Bouillabaisse- waitress said this sells out every time they make it. I can't see how that happens since the place is empty, but my fiance's mom said it was "pretty good" although they forgot to put the rouille on the toast until she asked for it. She travels to France every year and she said forgetting the rouille in a bouillabaisse is a big no-no since it's an integral part of the dish. As we were whispering to one another about how bland and disappointing the food was, I overheard someone from the other table say "excellent!" but who the hell knows what he was talking about. Certainly not the food. And if he was talking about the food he probably just thought it was "excellent" because he was spending an exorbitant amount of money on a really tiny plate of something. The chocolate lava cake ($9.00), profiteroles ($12.00) and coffee ($4.00) were the only things saving the whole evening from disaster. The cake was like a souffle with a gooey center and it was fabulous. The profiteroles looked good, but I did not taste one, since I was focused on the cake. The cappuccino was made well and I throughly enjoyed it. If you HAVE to go here for some reason go for dessert and coffee, ordering anything else would be a colossal waste of time and money.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening at La Petite Paris!! The atmosphere was very inviting and comfortable. We were there to celebrate our 25th anniversary, and felt like royalty with the wonderful service. The sisters even gave us complimentary champaign to celebrate the occasion. We shared great escargot, followed with the goat cheese sald and loved the wine selection our host recommended. For our main entrees we had the pork and the fish in the paper. Both had awesome flavor and were very generous portions. For dessert we shared the molten chocolate cake that was to die for! We were pleasantly surprised to find this wonderful French gem in our very own Colorado. We will be glad to recommend La Petite Paris to anyone.

Two wonderful French sisters with moderate English skills operate the most amazing French restaurant I've ever been to. We went during our honeymoon and the lovely sisters went out of their way to make our evening even more special. The food is absolutely outstanding. We started with their french onion soup and frog legs, truly wonderful. I had lamb and my wife had a fish dish, both exquisite. We had great help choosing a wine for our meals that paired very well and was great for sipping between plates. For desert, we had the most delicious creme brule and creme puff with ice cream. Throughout the entire evening, the sisters chatted with us and let us know we could stay as long as we liked for the night. They offer true French-style service: no rush, casually slow and giving us plenty of time to talk and rest between servings. We left three hours later, feeling great (not over-stuffed) and we're already looking forward to coming back again. A must-do in Breckenridge!

While the attention to the food certainly does justice to French cooking, don't be fooled by the title of the restuaruant. These two savvy sisters (one a former manager of Balthazar in NYC) know how to enterain Americans with finley tuned wit and humor. if you don't chat up the sisters, then you will miss out on almost two stars worth of a dining experince. Make sure to complement the chef, and admire the gay decor.

Do not miss out on la Petit Paris. It was one of the best meals I've had and superior to the french food in Paris! First off their staff is incredibly friendly and charming. FYI they pour a very generous glass of wine and have an excellent selection of french wines. To start my bf had the escargot which he loved. I ordered the pan roasted poulet and he had the striped bass special. Both were delicious, perfectly seasoned and generous portions but we both agreed my poulet was the best dish. For dessert we had profiteroles with ice cream and chocolate sauce and the molten chocolate cake. Unbelievable end to the dinner. I scraped my plate clean. They also have fabulous coffee. Seriously don't miss out on dining at this place!

I was worried there were only pizza joints and dive bars around Breck village until a friend recommended Petite Paris. This place is great and very accommodating when our party size shrank as the snow accumulation grew. Petite is owned by two sisters who used to work at a French restaurant in NYC before moving west. They work the floor, smooze, and make all the desserts by hand. The both waiter the tables but don't coordinate well which can lead to longer times. The food: The first thing you will notice is that the menu is a book. There are only around 5 pages of food and the rest is filled with maps, the history of France, background about the wines, and French actor head shots. La Petite Paris charges high end prices (for CO) and has great food but the menu doesn't do it justice and gives it a gimmicky feel but don't judge them on that alone. Apps Lentil soup special - I hate lentil soup and even I thought this was delicious Escargot - served 6 at a time in a butter and garlic sauce - wonderful Main Duck pot au feu - basically a pot roast with duck. The duck was perfectly cooked and had a large serving of foie gras right on top. It was a special for the night and while the broth was a little too salty for my liking, I'd recommend it. Lamb Shank - its a lamb shank, cooked on the bone until the meat just falls off. Probably not the best lamb shank I've ever tasted but still very good and would order it if they didn't offer the pot au feu Mussels and Fries - the table next to us ordered this, it looked good however it was priced at $35. I understand they need to import but I'd rather hold off and get for cheaper back home. Desserts Cream puffs with ice cream and hot chocolate - if you can stomach a dessert, this is perfect to share. For this dish, they cut three cream puffs in half, stuff with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and cover in melted chocolate. Not a bad way to end the meal. Drinks They have an extensive wine list however they only sell a few of them by the glass. If you whole party doesn't want to share a bottle you may be very limited in your pairing options. Overall - the food is a bit pricey but worth it if you are in town and want a nice place to eat. Dinner for three with a drink and soup each ran us around $70 per person with tip. If you go, be sure the make a reservation, even amid a snow storm this place was packed.The owners really make you feel welcome and if you are nice, they may even get a free round of dessert liquor! Looking around the mid-sized restaurant, you certainly won't feel like you are in Paris but if you close your eyes and taste the food, you wouldn't think you were in Colorado.

je t'aime! I had a crepe that had béchamel, chicken, mushrooms and Swiss cheese . The First bite wasn't so good and the second and one after another got better and better. I was a bad girl and ordered a almond chocolate croissant to have the next morning. It was out of this world. The only down fall, the menu isn't moderately priced. I packed my bags when I was 17 and took off for Paris. I've always been meaning to go back...no need now. (jk!) La Petite Paris is true to its monicker. The food is actually, on the whole, better than Paris--the service likewise. The atmosphere is welcoming, warm, and wants only for a good bottle of wine. First off, it's one of those places where the hostess takes your hand and talks to you. It's kind of a lost art. Instead of a teenage kid hoping to work her way up to waitress who just deposits you in a chair, the hostess hosts you...welcomes you, helps you practice your bad Rosetta Stone French. Likewise, the handoff to the waitstaff is smooth and they're mostly a bunch of well spoken young men buzzing over what exact type of water you want. Moreover the food/wine is fantastic. My husband and I requested an obscure wine from a specific region of France not on the menu and *poof,* they brought it to us. The beef bourgogne was so tender it slid apart with the least effort of my fork and even the animal fat tasted rich and flavorful (I'm wildly against fatty cuts of meat...so this says *something*) Every flavor absolutely gelled, layered, and complimented the others. And this, deserves its own highlight. Order the chocolate molten cake...at gunpoint if necessary because the experience is worth a stint in Federal Prison. I'm used to molten cake that reminds me of brownie sort of squished into a cake format with something sort of like heated Hershey's chocolate sauce. Not so here. I was so blown away I told the owner (sister of the pastry genius behind the dessert) that the flour must be very, very sifted because it was so light...and she stopped and chatted with me about it at length and announced I must be a baker (I am.) There is artistry here. The profiteroles are fantastic, but not in the same tear-inducing, soul-wrenching, thank-I-god-I-live-2-hours-away (for the sake of my waist line!) sense. Order it! Or live to regret it. Needless to say, I'll be back!

This place is nestled away just off of Main St on Adams. The hospitality of the staff cannot be matched! As soon as you walk in you are greeted by an employee who kindly takes your coat from you and hangs it for you until you are ready to leave the restaurant. The owner and her sister greet and talk with La Petit patrons in French and are very kind and friendly. The decor appears to be Christmas garland and lights intermixed with things French. The food is good, but I'm not really sure the portions or the taste are worth the hefty price. The staff is very knowledgeable on things that are French ad he menu seems really big when you're handed the laminated book, but the menu is hidden within the laminated french history/culture education booklet. It was a nice dinner, but the entrees and glasses of wine are priced so that you are left expecting more.

As everyone else has already posted... - The BEST french onion soup you will ever have. Even if you dont like french onion soup, you will like this. I actually took a picture of it AND took the time to peel the cheese that had spilled over the edge and cooked to the bowl, redunk it and eat it! Dirty American, i know! - Osso Bucco and the roasted chicken were both worthy follow-ups to THE soup. - The owner was sure to talk to each of our party multiple times and entertain us with witty one-liners. She was busting it all night, even making our cocktails. - cute atmosphere, with none of the pretentiousness that you moght expect from a french restaurant of this calibre. We ate at 7-8 places during our stay and this tied Modis for top honors. Just go already!

Exceedingly friendly and gracious hostess / owner. Exceptional food -- a fairly short menu to choose from, but for what food they offer they do a masterful job at cooking and presenting. Our entire table is highly complimentary of Bouillabaisse ((French Provençal seafood stew) and French Onion soup, both came with intensely flavourful broth that can only be achieved by using the right ingredients and seasoning in proper proportions (note to inferior eateries that over-salt to compensate for lack of flavour). Escargot was oh so tender, meaty and buttery, served sans snail shells. Casual atmosphere, you'd feel equally comfortable dressing up or dressing down. Don't miss this gem if you are in Breck. Reservation recommended as the restaurant is small-ish.

Awesome! What an amazing little find in Breckenridge! We went here for desert after a meal at another venue and were absolutely blown away. The dining room was full, and despite telling the hostess/owner that we just wanted desert, she treated us like we were ordering a banquet for 20. I've been meaning to review this place from when I had a romantic dinner last...June? It was wonderful. The service reminded me of France, very attentive/intimate. It's a cozy and warm place, not at all modern or stuffy like many high-end restaurants. This may have been an off-shoot because my fiancé didn't care much for his entree (he ordered stew, so that's on him), but my lamb was fantastic. In fact, it was the best meal I've ever had. I look back at it fondly.

Unlike the staff at Angel's Hollow, the extremely friendly folks at La Petite Paris treat you like they actually WANT your business. In fact, what they really treat you like is family. From unpretentious help with the wine list, to knowledgeable recommendations on the menu, to honest advice on dessert, these top-notch restaurateurs couldn't be more accommodating. And as good as the service is, the food is even better. On my first visit, they were only serving a 3 course prix-fixe menu (for $30), so my girlfriend and I decided to try 6 different things... French Onion Soup, Escargot, Mussels, Steak and Frites, Profiteroles, and the Trio of Homemade French Pastries. Each bite was even better than the last -- not to mention, worth far more than they charged. This was probably one of the two or three best meals I've had in nearly 30 years of coming to Summit County, and I will most definitely come back each and every time I'm in town from here on out.

As locals here in Breckenridge, we have tried almost every restaurant in town. This is by far our favorite! The sisters are two of the most welcoming people you could ever come across. From the moment you walk in the door, they are there to say hello and take your coat. As for the food, it's the best in town. I highly recommend the cheese plate to share, and the chicken is fantastic! If you want to go out for a nice meal in Breck, this is the place.

We visited this restaurant for my wife's birthday with a party of eight (3 kids). We were 15 minutes early for our reservation, and our table was not quite ready. The owner (50 something french lady) worked to get us seated very quickly. Most of the staff we had contact with was french, and extremely nice and accommodating. We felt like family. They only have a $30 fix price menu at this time, but they mentioned they would have a full menu next week (ski season is just starting). They were very accommodating with the children. The dry aged steak was fantastic. The kids loved the escargot, and the chocolate lava cake will make you want to lick the plate. Wish I could review the other entrees on the menu, but it is limited at this time, and the steak was too good to pass up. They did offer 3 sauces. We tried all three. The red wine redux was the favorite, followed by the foie gras which was not really a sauce but added a lot of flavor. When we left the owner gave us all hugs and kisses. This is our new favorite restaurant in Breck.

We were so excited to go to this restaurant for our 10 year anniversary. My husband and I went on a Wednesday night and found they had no seats left, so be sure to make a reservation. We made a reservation for Thursday night at 6:30 and were seated promptly. Service was fantastic. The young French woman that greeted us at the door was very sweet. She and her family are all Parisian French and we were told they had just moved there 5 years ago. Although our waiter was not French, he was very good at recommending wine and food. Water was constantly refilled. Atmosphere was similar to Parisian Brasseries we had been to; comfortable. We went during the Christmas Holiday break and found the menu to be fairly limited. I was hoping to see a duck cassoulet on the menu but it wasn't there. They also did not have a prix fixe menu. There were only about 8 entrees offered and the prices were fairly high. We ordered the escargots as an appetizer. It was fantastic. Served with some nice, crusty baguette, it was hard not to want to sop up all the seasoned butter. My husband ordered the boeuf bourgignon and that was very good. I ordered the Moules et Frites (mussels and fries) and was a bit dissappointed. I've had some really excellent Moules Mariniere in both French and Belgian restaurants. The base was not as flavorful as I would have liked but the biggest issue was the the dish was served a bit cold. The mussels were fully cooked but it really spoiled the flavor to not be served hot. We did mention this to our waiter and the dish was removed from our bill. So overall - excellent service, okay food, a bit expensive.

This is quite a charming little French restaurant with excellent food and personalized service. I enjoyed my dinner immensely and -- in the unlikely event I once again find myself at these altitudes -- it will be my first stop for dinner. The food at this establishment was very good, but what really makes it stand out is the excellent service. The French staff lend an air of authenticity and a level a service that I haven't really experienced since I was in Paris. They were friendly and welcoming in a way that wasn't in the lease overbearing. I really appreciate the thought that went into arranging the seating, as well. Of the three (independent) couples that were dining that night, all were seated side-by-side. Several of the tables were arranged such that sitting side-by-side was the only option. This was a refreshing change -- I'm tired of sitting across the table from my date.

We spent a lot of time in Breck, but this was the first time we tried La Petite Paris - and boy, are we glad we did! We were met at the door by the owner, who is straight from France. Actually, she's been in Breck for 7 yrs, but you can't tell. Eating at this place felt like we stepped into a little neighborhood place, blocks from central Paris. My wife and I shared a bowl of the Parisian Onion Soup and it might have been the best we've ever had. I had the Braised short ribs, vegetables, red wine sauce. The knife was not necessary, and the meat just pulled apart with a fork. My wife had the pork chop, and she loved it! The service was off the charts! It's a family place and the owners niece helped serve us. She's only been in the states for 3 months, so that just added to the experience! After dinner and coffee, we were met at the door with a double cheek kiss like we had known them our entire lives! These places are hard to find, so you better take advantage of them when you can!

We went here for my Birthday during the opening week of skiing. It was a great meal a great experience and it made us feel like we were in a bistro in Paris. The staff was so accomiadating especially with the three kids from 6-10 yrs old. The women who ownes the place ( I think) took the kids to see the kitchen. Breckenridge as a whole is a challenge to find a great dining experience until you get here. We have now been on three seperate occasions seperated by several months, yet we are remembered, treated like royalty and the food and service are beyond compare. If you only eat out one time while you are in Breck make it here. Ben the lead waiter is the perfect balance of attentive service without being smothering. The owner is as lovely as you could wish to meet, and will have you speaking French before you leave! Not only is this the best restaurant in Breck but is definetley up there with the best in the entire Rocky Mountain region.

Although the food here was quite good, I don't agree with all the rave reviews. There were four of us and we liked our food, but it wasn't perfect as most reviewers seem to be saying. The french bread was good, but I've had just as good at many other places. The one little mound of butter way maybe 1 tablespoon and didn't make it around the table. While our water glasses were being refilled we asked for more and it arrived, but not exactly promptly. The wine ordered by one person horrified him. The glass was filled about 1/3 of the way because the bottle ran out. He thought the waiter would open a new bottle because that little glass cost $16 and it was a relatively inexpensive wine. Nope, that 1/3 glass was it. I had the bouillabaisse and was pleased that it wasn't oily or fishy tasting as this can sometimes be. One person had steak and it was full of fat and gristle, although the fries that came with it were wonderful. The other two people seemed fine with their food but they had no raves about it. The real rave came with dessert where the Creme Brulee and something chocolate were definite show-stoppers. The service we had was good, but we had no visits from the owners and we saw no other tables being greeted that way either. One couple that arrived as we were leaving were obviously frequent guests and they got a quite enthusiastic greeting, so perhaps that's reserved for regulars. All-in-all, it was a very good dining experience, but based on the reviews I read here I expected more. For a meal that cost over $200 for four people, I expected much more. I probably wouldn't go back, because unlike other people seem to be saying, I found many other good dining options in Breckenridge.

Just got back from an incredible dinner, great in so many ways. Greeted warmly by Arielle, the owner, immediately upon arrival, we felt very welcome--even though we had no reservations. We are spending most of the summer in Breckenridge and have been to the grocery store only twice if that tells you how much we eat out. This was my favorite restaurant/experience so far. I must admit that I would not have chosen this restaurant without the help of Yelp as the decor and location aren't that great. The food and service definitely top our list of Breckenridge restaurants so far. We mentioned to Arielle that we were going to France next spring and she spent 15 minutes discussing how to make a great trip for ourselves and two young children.--writing down suggestions. She is from Paris. We had French onion soup (best ever, not too salty), and my wife had pork chop with blackberry sauce, and I had veal osso buco (no lamb this night). Perfect, incredible. We finished with molten chocolate cake, wonderful. There are so many places to dine in Breckenridge and we will be here for two more months, but we are certain to visit this wonderfully charming restaurant several more times. I love giving business to places such as this--family owned by charming proprietors who clearly appreciate their clientele. Go here!

Yet another restaurant in Breck that has had it's woes with the IRS. Thankfully however, the owner of La Petit Paris has found some supportive investors and was able to reopen! You WILL NOT find better food in Breck- this place is simply amazing. The service (family operated) is superb, the food even better. We've dined here many times and I swear, it's better each time. My 4 year old loves the frog legs, 6 year old the cassoulet (special, not a regular menu item at this time) or duck. Arielle and MariJo are wonderful with the children as they are with all customers! I really cannot put into words how delectable the food is here- which is odd, words do not usually escape me, especially when it comes to food. All I can say is do not miss out on this gem of a restaurant.

Came here for dinner without reservations and luckily got a table. Service was excellent. The restaurant is family owned by two sisters who came from France. Went on a limb and tried the frog legs. It tasted like chicken but had a sticky bone texture. My husband had a version of ox tail stew and I ate the lamb shank. Both were incredibly tasty requiring no knife. The meat fell right off the bone. Also had the French Onion soup which was additionally tasty and the best we ever had. The restaurant tables are tightly squeezed in maximizing room space. They make you sit first and the waiters move the table toward you giving you comfort cozy dining.

A fantastic example of French bistro cuisine. We were greeted at the door promptly by the owner. The size of the restaurant is very cozy. The size of the menu is perfect. It is limited to about 10 entree and 10 appetizers, such that all the ingredients can be kept fresh. The wine list is moderate size, which is what I would expect from a restaurant of this size. The wine is all French and on the more expensive side. We paid $60 for a very nice cotes de Rhone village. The menu is very tradition bistro cuisine. My wife was disappointed to find bouillabaisse was not on the menu, but her scallop dish was excellent. We are very picky about our scallop dishes and these were not only very fresh but also cooked perfectly. My lamb chops were excellent as well. For desert I had the lava cake which was very good, but similar to other lava cakes I have had before. Service was prompt and attentive. napkins were refolded and wine glasses were kept full. I have very few complaints. The gruyere cheese on our French onion soup had a plain taste (though the onion soup itself was one of the best I've ever had). The lamb chops were cooked individually and so did not have a more rare center portion as they would if cooked in a group (as I have had in the past). Great experience. Worth the $200 we spent. Would go back.

The owner is delightful, the food is quite good but the atmosphere does not match with the level of food or price. Normally I would say that when the level of food does not match the atmosphere I would say that is a plus but when you add to it the price, for me at least, it turns it back to a negative. We had a five in our party and everyone enjoyed their dinner but were not blown away. In the end, expect to pay $40 per person before a tip. That is the total per person for entree (no appetizer, soup or salad) and a single bottle of the house wine. I enjoyed the dinner but am not certain I would go back.

This restaurant was outstanding from start to finish. We were given a cute corner table. Our waitress was great; extremely friendly and helpful, but not in the annoying way... oh, and actually French. The bread and butter were so good. I could have kept eating that and been happy. The French Onion Soup was great. I had the steak and fries. Both were really good. For dessert, I had creme brulee, also really good. They have a special going on now (I'm not sure for how long) where you get an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $30. Otherwise, it could be pretty pricey. Still worth it though for sure.

My husband and I went there for his birthday. The 2 sisters and daughter who run the restaurant were very friendly and engaging. Their suggestions from appetizer (escargot) to wine (Mouton Cadet) to main courses (halibut cheeks and mussels) were spot-on. The cross-cit french fries with truffle oil were incredible. Beautiful presentation and fresh ingredients. They also did the obligatory "happy birthday" song with a candle in the creme brulee The profiteroles were to-die-for as well. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Breck.
