Went there for breakfast and ended up having the taco sampler which was awesome. The Bloody Mary was pretty good too.

What can I say about the gold pan. If you dig stepping back in time while eating comfort food, live music, and great craft beers this is your place. Ultra casual and Best atmosphere in summit county.

Get a tetanus shot before coming here. This place seemed beyond cool grungy dive bar and was just dirty, especially the clientele who looked un-showered and felt it was ok to yell at people sitting next to them when I was sitting next to that person, effectively yelling at me as well.

Not my favorite bar downtown Breck, but it has its purpose. If you are looking for a slightly more chill night than you can get at Salt Creek or Cecilia's then this is your place. We come here typically once during our trips to hang out and have a couple drinks. The bartenders are always very cool and very nice. They pour good drinks and usually have some good stories. Also this was the first bar that I've seen the ring game, which is hilarious. It always amazes me how many people can sit there for that long throwing a ring on a string on a hook. Great simple drunken game.

Have you ever been to Chicago? Estelles is an accurate comparison to this place. A chill place with decent prices until the thwards of tourists and drunkards run it into a frenzy. This is the type of place I would accidentally get caught up in a bar fight in. I have gone here for some enjoyable drunk dancing, but on the whole I do avoid this place for other, less 'frat boy- like' establishments.

One of the worst restaurants in Breckenridge. Not only was our service terrible, but the food was as well. How do you mess up omelets for breakfast? For the answer, ask Gold Pan. Egg shells in our breakfast, wrong ingredients...Disgusting. When we asked for extra fruit instead of potatoes, we received no extra fruit, but a quarter slice of melon. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. This is not worth it. Go someplace else, even if there is a wait....

Maybe I am bit bias, but I did meet my husband here. He, a ski bum...me, a law student...oh, the irony. Anyway, the Gold Pan is a stodgy little joint with Natural Light on tap so don't expect anything too fancy. The ring toss, pool tables, and juke box bring in the locals and tourists alike. Rumor has it that it is the oldest bar West of the Mississippi River and I believe it. The saloon doors still greet you when you walk in the door. I will always love the Gold Pan - cheers to good times and great memories!

Food was good but everything came with unhealthy chips and they couldn't do substitutes. $2 for a small side of spinach is a rip off... my girlfriend said it's the best chili she's ever had, and I agree that it is very good although we had to remove half the cheese because it was too much. After that, there's not much chili left. Fine for a cheaper meal, just don't expect much.

I am all about local dive bars, but this place is a shit hole! It is full of transplant midwest hospitality staff that think they are newborn mountain town locals. Dirty and gross . The flys in the drinks are as local as you get!

  • Jason W.

Make sure you order exactly what is on menu or the waitress will flip out. Food is really good though, service not so much. I will give a little slack as it was Sunday morning.

Nothing like sidling up to a saloon! If you stop in the tourist office, you'll find coupons for $1 shortie beers at happy hour. The bartender said she'd never seen them, but she accepted them, most importantly.

Not a bad place for breakfast. The panwhich was our favorite. Our experience was a good one. Loved the historical part of the experience.

  • Cheryl Q.

The grill is only open for breakfast and lunch. Haven't tried lunch yet, but breakfast is great! From simple yogurt with granola to hearty breakfast burrito. Something for all appetites.

  • Amber A.

This is an older bar and there was nothing about it I didn't like....but at the same time nothing I loved about it either. Too many others I liked better. We had a quick drink, no food, and moved along our Breck bar hop. It could be because it was middle afternoon before skiers got out but slow and didnt love the atmosphere. My husband enjoyed it a little more than myself.

This was the start of many a drunken Friday nights for me in Breckenridge! I used to work in one of the offices just next to this top notch drinking establishment so it was rather convenient for me to drop by on my way home. They used to have 25 cent beers on Fridays until 9pm or so and I'd guess they probably still do. As you can imagine this place was a favorite for locals and lucky tourists alike on such nights.

  • Katelin E.

my favorite bar in breckenridge! granted, sometimes i'm the only one who wants to go there ... but i love the atmosphere. it's a place where at 2 p.m. in the afternoon you can walk by and see a couple old guys at the bar, sipping their buds. the ring toss, the hunting game, the occasional live band ... it is a random bar with a random crowd and a good, classic, rough 'n tough wild west vibe. sometimes chill, sometimes people are on the bar dancing. you never know!

  • Brandon B.

Very cool place! Old bar, old feel. Had a couple beers and some Eggs Benedict concoction that included spinach. The Eggs Benedict were awesome! Definitely try them! They serve breakfast all day. Kitchen closes at 7:00 ...at least when we were there.

This place is right on Main street. We were looking for breakfast and they had tables. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Food was good and fast. Only meal we ate here was breakfast. Overall a nice experience and would come back if back in the area.

  • Chris H.

Cool place but the positives end there. They had one server (so it seemed, I never did see anyone else) covering the entire place on a Saturday afternoon/evening so the service was super slow. The food was just OK, nothing special at all. Good happy hour, but I probably wouldn't go here again.

    (2)
  • Alexandria S.

I'm not hating it as casual as it is. Just be prepared for the loud unexpected chopping of wood right behind you as you're taking your first bite and your waitress eating her lunch at the bar right in front of you. Food was good.

    (3)
  • Marcus B.

Umm... no. Food was awful. Potatoes were not completely cooked. Toast was terrible. Not sure how you do that. Was going to make it taste better with their grape jelly. Bad idea. Worst generic grape jelly I've ever had. Omelet was ok at best.

I love history so I loved this place! It was a neat little place and our waitress was very friendly. The bar was first established in 1879! I read that in its early days, as far back as 1861, the Gold Pan Saloon first opened its doors. Although, back then, it was only a tent structure. The permanent structure was constructed in 1879. When we walked in the Gold Pan Saloon, I felt like we had walked back in time to the Gold Rush with live music playing in the background. There was a long mahogany bar toward the right, and a large safe toward the back of the bar, which is where gold prospectors could secure and lock up their gold while enjoying a drink or two at the saloon. It was a casual, but extremely crowded atmosphere and a perfect setting to end a day on the mountain. It took us quite a long time to accumulate four chairs. It was clearly a popular place for both tourists and locals and the walls were littered with old pictures, original old ski signs and taxidermy. It was a fun evening!

ZERO STARS!!!! So I drug my family in here on Labor Day weekend at 1030. Breakfast all day on the sign. We order and 5 mins later are told our order is unattainable because they are out of cheese grits(signature item) and biscuits. So instead of being smart and leaving, we reorder. Wife's eggs and bacon come out first. Cold. 5 mins late, my granola and yogurt comes out. Decent, but half yogurt and very light on the granola. Really should be the other way around. Then, 5 mins later, my son's French toast comes out and they are now out of blueberry muffins, which he ordered. Coffee. Weak. Bloody Mary. Mehhhhhh. Very disappointing.

Old school saloon straight out of an old western movie! Have fun, just dont stay too long its a hard place to leave!

Food and service was great. We had breakfast here. I had the shrimp and grits which was awesome if you like that sort of thing. Kids had Mickey Mouse pancakes which are huge.

We were looking for a good breakfast place and we had a time restraint this restaurant had no line and the breakfast food was great. The coffee only fair. We made our own omelette they were fluffy big and delicious the home fries were well done the fresh fruit cup was really fresh and wonderful blueberries and strawberries. My husband was right this place is great

We walked in and this lady who I assumed worked there started yelling at me and my two friends to keep walking and hurry up. Started off real shitty when I have been here many times and never been treated like that here. Then this lady continues to yell at other guests and I saw her picking her nose while delivering food to tables. Our order was delivered with missing items and some extra items we didn't order. It took about three separate employees five minutes to deliver some syrup for three orders of pancakes. Overall I love getting drunk early in the morning and this place is great for that, so I'm definitely going to come back to get drunk again. A big plus is the glory hole in the men's bathroom.

My family was very dissapointed eating here. I ordered Roasted brussel sprouts as an appetizer. I received 5 small pieces of kale and when I brought that to the waitresses attention she told me that it was missprinted on the menu and it's actually a kale brussel sprout hybrid...??? Then I had ordered the Main dish Thai salad (a 10 dollar and 95 cent salad) and received a very small side dish sized bowl with shredded cabbage and carrot with a soy sauce dressing. I asked the male sever who brought it out if that was the correct portion for the main dish he said yes. I told him that it wasn't a lot of food at all, especially for 11 dollars with no meat or cheese and he argued and told me "actually, that IS a lot of food... and it's also cabbage so that's why it's so high priced. And we make the dressing in house". I suppose I hadn't realized cabbage was such a high end vegetable all of the sudden.... I really wish I would have taken pictures of the food because, honestly, I've never been that ripped off in my life! The salad was maybe two cups being generous, mind you, two cups of shredded cabbage equals about 44 calories. Left hungry and very upset having spent so much money on practically nothing and also I've never experienced a waiter being that rude and condescending toward a customer with a concern.

I just love this place. Skiing in the US is a special experience for a European. I really like the gold miners atmosphere of main street and when you enter the Gold Pan you just go back in time. The ideal watering hole after a day on the slopes. Have such good memories of warm nights with my friends while it was freezing like hell during a colorado winter storm. Want to go back asa

  • Kaci H.

Fun night atmosphere with live music! Grayson, the bartender, was very attentive, talkative and our bill was surprisingly inexpensive! Todd, the musician, played musical selections from Johnny Cash to David Grey. It was not crowded at all and we played pool and had a great time!

This leans towards 3.5 Fun bar if juevenille Breakfasts really tasty and menu appealing Lacks a certain je ne sais quoi Apparently first spot to have a liquor license west of Mississippi - adding a star because cool to touch in on this for novelty!:)

  • Kendall C.

Terrible service. Won't be back. Waited 15 minutes to sit down with tables open, then waited over an HOUR for our food. The place wasn't even crowded. Don't do it.

    (1)
  • Ron R.

Food not so hot. Plus, "French Toast sticks " for $5. It was a price of French toast. Just a regular slice of white.

  • Amy J.

We went on a Saturday night after skiing. The place is much more dancy than I anticipated, with a DJ and a small room packed with dancers. The bar was packed, it was difficult to find a place to stand. Felt like I was at a college bar - which if you're in the right mood can definitely be fun! It's not an ideal place to have to watch a coat - my scarf was stolen even though it was only a couple of feet away. It apparently turns into a restaurant at other times.

Came here on the busy Monday after Independence day after leaving multiple restaurants with hour+ waits. We were seated right away at Gold Pan and greeted by multiple smiling faces. The wait for food was to be expected and our waitress prepared us for that. The drinks, however, were served immediately (bloody mary, hot tea, coffee), so we had something to satiate us until the food arrived. The breakfast burritos were huge and delicious (veggie green chili!), the veggie benedict was amazing - eggs cooked perfectly with ripe avocado, and the shrimp grits were perfection as well. Noticing a theme? Perfection. Any deviations from perfection were to be expected with the business of the holiday weekend, but none were enough to turn the corners of our mouths down. Bravo, Gold Pan! We will be back.

This joint is on MAIN ST. in Breckenridge.. great bar area/ bar top/ stools/ pictures/ etc. That's where it ends.. we got stuck in the "Side Room" which kinda just sucks! The food was absolute crap.. Quesadillas with just cheese inside? Totally watered down "Chili" that tasted like sugar? Chicken Skewers like rubber? Yellow iceberg on each plate to top it off... Service was great but this would be a place I would just stop for beers! get dat did

The breakfast was so good!!!!!!! And it's large portions so you won't leave hungry! My wife and I love going out for breakfast foods and we stumbled across this gem with no disappointment!

Delicious fresh jalapeno and onion bloody Mary's. Great fresh drinks, nice people and an overall great atmosphere. Try happy hour. Worth it!

  • Andy M.

Of the many numerous times I frequent the town of Breckenridge I have only been to the Gold Pan once. The building itself is cool in the fact that it's the living embodiment of the Colorado mining town pub experience but unfortunately the service is slow, the food is mediocre & the adult beverages are weak. Sorry but with all of the other great places to visit in Breckenridge the Gold Pan just doesn't pan out.

    (2)
  • Brittany S.

We went in during happy hour for some drinks. No one greeted us when we walked in. We sat ourselves and our server took a few minutes to greet us. The service overall was very slow and disappointing. We were close to the kitchen, so we could hear the servers complaining while they were ringing in tickets. Our drinks were good- but definitely not worth what we paid. We had one drink a piece and left.

    (2)
  • Cristina G.

The server was very nice. But holy cow, how do you mess up breakfast!!! The sausage was super greasy, the toast was blah, and well no, eww. But like I said, our server was nice; hence the 2 stars

This place is awesome! Oldest bar west of Mississippi, great atmosphere, great service and great drinks. A def must stop if you're in Breck!

As far as a bar experience, the place was fun for our group to go out dancing on a Saturday night. However, the one star comes from the general dickish-ness that ensued at closing time which I attribute to the staff. At closing time came, we were unable to get a hold of our friends and asked the staff for the number for a cab. As we were literally pushed out the door into the cold, we were told that a cab might be 45 minutes or might not come at all. As we tried in vain to reach our friends, we knocked on the door at the group of 15 or so staff and hangers on which remained inside the bar. While I understand what closing time means, the large group still hanging inside indicated to me that the Summit County PD wouldn't have flipped if a few freezing tourists were allowed to wait inside for a few minutes. What really got me fired up was the lack of humanity of the girl who decided to laugh and point at our plight as we shivered in the cold, and the staff guys who seemed interested in letting in the girls in our party, but not our group. So screw you for your callousness, Gold Pan! Thankfully, we got a ride eventually, and you get a rant of a review instead of reckless endangerment lawsuit.

  • Kai S.

We went for breakfast and the place was slammed. Our waitress was friendly and brought our food right after it was put in the window. Despite that, it took a long time to arrive. The food was excellent and well worth the wait. My wife and I had the breakfast burrito and omelette, both were delicious.

    (4)
  • J. R. S.

When we got there it seemed like this place was just an old style saloon with a wood burning stove in the middle of the place. As the night went on and the place started to fill up, they moved the pool table out and a DJ started up... Say what how did this place turn into a night club and how did I end up being one of the oldest farts in the "club"? On a positive nite the pours were very heavy.

  • Lea H.

Came for breakfast...service was terrible (granted it was the 4th, but I mean it was REALLY slow). Food: not very good. They don't have egg white omelets available, so I ordered a regular omelet with spinach and feta. The egg part of the omelet was decent, but it's like they cooked the eggs, put it in plate, then put spinach and feta on---the spinach was raw and cheese not melted. I got homefries, which didn't look appetizing, so I didn't try it, but my husband did, and he said they weren't cooked all the way (crunchy). My husband got the Nutella French toast. He did eat it all, but said it didn't taste like Nutella (it was drizzled over top). He said he wouldn't have eaten it all if he hadn't been so hungry. I would not recommend this restaurant, and wished we hadn't wasted our money there (not many other options with the parade and all the people)

  • Colleen C.

As a tourist, stopped in for lunch by recommendation. We were not disappointed! Great atmosphere and great music. I had the Caribbean Jerk Wrap - very tasty. Right amount of spice with sweet from the onions. My husband had the Breck-Fest Burger and loved it!

  • Sydney B.

Awful!!! Rude service My group of friends made up 50% of the bars patrons, we are all bartenders and would have happily drank a lot and tipped very well. However, after We put $$$ in the jukebox the bartender proceeded to scream and yell profanities about our music selection and turned it off. Then she continued to play DJ and only let 30 seconds of each song play. In my personal experience in the service industry I have worked in many bars where I have worked long shifts forced to listen to music I dont want. playing the bartenders choice music isnt what makes a bar sucessful. So when we decided to leave a drink was accidentally spilled on the bar when we were trying to clean up after ourselves and she called us Bi+@*$, told us to get the f&*k out of her bar and threw a dirty bar towel at us.

    (1)
  • Benjamin M.

Food was pretty tasty (I ordered the smothered breakfast burrito). Service was a bit slow, but it was peak brunch time and I imagine the kitchen is pretty small. Still was pretty neat to eat in a 130+ year old saloon -- I'll probably come back!

Really awesome quick breakfast. Laid back but still with really good, attentive service. Romanee was great.

  • Crys A.

This place was turrrrible. After ordering medium rare burgers, both my husband and I were served burgers that were far beyond medium well. We sent them back after pointing out the problem (and after the waitress apologetically agreed), only to have them returned to us more well done than ever. Wow. Is it really this impossible to get a good burger in CO? The waitress was ok, though she told us she'd comp both our burgers (we were just two of a party of six) but ended up not doing so. Maybe she forgot? Whatever. Either way, the experience was far less than stellar and we will not be back again.

Was looking for a place for breakfast, they got us in with no wait. The grits are AMAZING, corned beef and hash wonderful as well. We will be back!

This was a great little place that was open before 3. They have super friendly staff an yummy Bloody Maries. The pancakes are giant! Delicious but about the full size of the dinner plate they bring it out on. Good food, good drinks and good peeps! Totally recommend it! (Only bad part was the iced tea)

  • J G.

Been here both times I've spent an evening in Breck. Vibe is always okay, but a little cramped due to the old school design of the bar itself. Cool place because of its history, though. If you want decent late night drinks (and music) Blue River Bistro down the street has 9PM to close 2for1 specialty cocktails (~$12) and live jazz/blues from 5pm-10pm. I recommend that, even if the vibe is more upscale.

This is supposed to be the oldest bar "west of the Mississippi". We found it a great dive bar with good drinks and music.

Food's okay, but definitely worth a visit. Wandered in pretty much at random after driving up from Denver. Gold Pan is not your stereotypical hoity toity resort town restaurant/bar; this place would fit in well in Bakersfield, CA. As breakfast is served all day, (leading to the interesting gustatory melange of beer and pancakes), ordered the Monte Cristo, reasoning that it's pretty hard to screw up something fried. Turns out, they don't fry the Monte Cristo. Instead of the canonical ham and cheese sandwich dipped in batter and deep fried, theirs is instead a ham and turkey sandwich served in a rather dry french toast cover. Ham and turkey were also dry, but definitely edible. Things changed when I decided to give up on "lunch" and dumped a flood of pancake syrup (Aunt Jemima, not maple) over the whole deal and attack it with a knife and fork. Much better. But I still wish they'd dipped and fried it. My pal got a quesadilla. Odd that a Western restaurant doesn't have guacamole, just avocado slices. The trick to Ring-A-Washer is to give the washer a healthy thrust forward and to the side on its way to the hook. Gravity itself is insufficient.

I wish I could leave zero stars. AWFUL service. We waited over 30 min at a table and the server never came. We asked the bar tender to send a server over and he said he can't he's too busy, and to go wait for her by the kitchen.

    (1)
  • Kathleen K.

We liked this so much we ate breakfast here two days in a row. And I don't even really like breakfast! Both days I had The Spring Meyer $ 9.95 (two poached eggs with spinach, tomatoes, avocado covered with hollandise on an English Muffin with homefries). It has just a little hollandaise with a little extra lemon. A perfect breakfast that wasn't too heavy and the eggs still had some ooze. My huband had the corned beef hash and deemed it excellent.

  • Laura W.

Terrible service. Can't comment about the food because after an hour we never got our order. Apparently our server went into a "managers meeting" and did not bother to give our table to another server. Don't waste your time or money here.

    (1)
  • Becky M.

We had the worst experience at The Gold Pan. We were yelled at by the waitstaff for sitting at an open table, waiting for 15 minutes at the bar for a drink, got a table and was not approached by a staff member for over an hour. Worst service in town. Management should make a change. We even told the manager and he did not try to remedy the situation. It's sad since its a staple of Breckenridge. Not worth it! I wish I could give 0 stars.

See below for my nostalgia review. The folks who now run the historic Gold Pan SALOON are turning it into Chili's. The problem is that this place is supposed to have the feel of an old time mining town saloon. Oh well, I suppose everything has to change someday. Too bad these folks dont have the skills or connections to Sysco to pull off the TGI Fridays vibe they are going for. This place has been ruined... Nostalgia review.... The first time I walked through the doors to this shrine to all things glorious about Colorado drinking I heard this being exclaimed from inside... It's all about knowing what ya came in the swinging doors for ya'll. If you didn't get chills down yer spine and think, "which one of you fuckers is deadeyed Dick?" the moment you walked in the door maybe it wont be so easy to figure out that this aint the place to have some friggin crepes! The only time I have eaten breakfast at the Pan (come to think of it I have about a hundred times) was when I was still there from the night before. But really who cares right? I dont go to my mechanic for a haircut and I dont go to the Gold Pan for crepes. I do however go to "the OC" when I want to laugh at douchebags who look for Crepes in a saloon, but I digress. (please refer to my Supercuts review for my breakdown of their delicious eggshell free crepes!) I love this place more than I can say. Yeah it has changed since the off season Wednesday night skirt night theme in the 90's. The music is different, the snow is not as deep, Kennydog is gone (RIP).... Bless your sweet soul brother! I've seen some of the funniest most beautifool moments from these stools. I have seen brawls that filled the place with flying glass, Goldschlager soaked trouser legs (I was wearing em), I even watched a buddy politely ask the barkeep for a pool cue right before he ran screaming "this is my table!" across the bar at a dude who later kicked his ass. I even met my wife here... Seriously. Walking in here still makes me feel like nowhere else. You will know if it's for you the moment you touch the swinging doors. Leave your crepes outside and revel it's awesomeness. I love you Gold Pan.

The food was great. Probably more fat than I need but the potatoes were delicious... I'll just have to walk more to burn it off. The music is way to loud for 9 am with only 4 people in the place.

Great place for lunch in Breckenridge. I recommend Chef John's new pulled pork sandwich. Most pulled pork sandwich's I have had all taste about the same. This one was better. The sauce is excellent and it will fill you up. Good stuff.

Very old timey, old mining feel to this bar. We weren't here long so I can't comment too much. We enjoyed the beer we had and watching some people far drunker than we were try to play a Ring A Washer game.

This was our first time and we went for an lunch around noon and was not busy when we arrived. We were seated quicky and placed an order. The order was half-breakfast/half-lunch. It all arrived quickly and tasted pretty good. However when we finished we waited for 15 minutes to be acknowledged and get the bill, but finally had to have another waitress retrieve it. It wasn't extremely hectic so not sure why she forgot us. Would try again just to see if it was isolated incident.

Oh man. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! I came to Breckenridge for a work function. So needless to say, after a long day of travel, and work related mumbo jumbo, I was reeeeaaaaaaadddyyyy tooooo parrrrrrrtaaaaayyy! (with the best of friends)... Bridesmaids anyone? Hello? Anyone there? ::tap tap tap::: is this thing on? Anyhow, we hop on our chartered shuttle thing from the resort and the driver asked us where we wanted to go, and i said, "I want to go to a total locals dive bar. A place that is made of all wood. Has a bartender named Pappy, and sells Pabst like it was a microbrew" And boy, did he deliver! This bar was amazing. Buck shot game, a "dj" spinning his best in country tunes, awesome locals who were so high and drunk off their asses, and an old lookin miner who looked like he has been there since the bar opened up in 1879. Total diamond in the rough.

Rude staff. Kept trying to get their attention but ignored us. Took longer to get the check than the food and that took a while too. Food mediocre. Other places on Main Street that I'd rather go to.

Bartender was not helpful and a little rude. A whole table walked out because of her lack of customer service.

This was literally one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I tried to order a Jack Honey. They didn't have it. So I ordered a Dewars instead. Nope, didn't have that either. I was hoping the food would be better. Not so much. After waiting an hour, my sliders came out cold and half of them didn't have the bun tops.

DANCE PARTY! Ok, so I didn't eat here, but I did end up here at the end of the night and the place was packed. No cover for girls. $3 cover for guys (although I think the bouncer just made this up to pick up some extra cash). The DJ was spinning great music and everyone was having a great time dancing. There are 2 bars and the bartenders were friendly despite being so busy.

Middle of the day, kinda boring. Day drunk for $2 a beer, kinda worth it.

We stopped in here while we waited for our table at Giampietro and I'm glad we did. The bar has a very old-timey-mine-town feel. They have $2 PBR's all day, which is great when you're on a budget but want to get your drink on in Breck. The bartender was very friendly and made us feel welcome.

Rather than call "The Pan" a Breckenridge bar, I would call it the heart and soul of old Breckenridge. The food has always been wildly variable, as is the standard of cleanliness. Cheap drinks and plain folks. Breck is full of joints with pretenses to class, The Pan is the real deal.

The Gold Pan is to me, what a Breckenridge bar should be. It represents Breckenridge, an old-time mining town now turned into a tourist destination for outdoor enthusiasts and ski bums just perfectly. The place just feels like an old-time wild-West bar. I've heard rumors that you can actually see bullet holes in the bar, but I've never been in there with lighting good enough to see that. It's a bit off the beaten path on a less busy part of Main Street, but that only adds to the allure for me - less of a party scene on this part of Main Street. You can go in on a hectic Friday or Saturday, or visit it on a weeknight where you'll run into many of the locals. So, cozy up to the bar for relatively cheap drinks, listen to some live music, play some bar games in the back room and take in the atmosphere. You just may run into the ghost of an old, alcoholic miner.

Not so great. The food was ok but nothing special with the exception of the blueberry pancakes. Unless you're in a hurry or just tired of walking Main Street, skip the Gold Pan and try the crepes up the street a ways.

I definitely liked this place. there was a dj but all he was playing was pretty much skrillex songs and blending them together, nothing original, so I hope they didn't pay him much! there was a cool vibe between locals and tourists; who don't always get along. our bartender was a little slow for it not being so busy and breck opening in a few days. I am also from chicago so maybe I just expect more out of my bartenders? eitherway I had a great time and was there a few times during my trip!

Walking down Main Street looking for a place that was open around noon as most of the restaurants are dinner only. Stumbled into this place and had the best breakfast I've had in a while. Small place with a nice western feel. Waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. Got the huevos rancheros. Best I've ever had!! Boyfriend got the panwich and we both finished our giant plates because they were that good. Definitely recommend!!

Might be a good spot to drink, but the food was terrible. I stopped in for lunch and service was below average. With all of the options nearby, I fully regret my choice for lunch.

Went here last weekend out west. We went Friday night, Saturday night and of course sunday night...This place always delivers, good drinks, fast service and a no BS policy, they dont try to be anything they aren't, theyre a bar and thats it...They let you bring in pizza from Eric's (down the street) and they seem to not mind overly drunk tourists (or we wouldnt have gone back every night for our 5th trip out west) I only wish they had a 5% rebate program that you would get back on your last night...

Great atmosphere. Horrible service. If you want to work in a ski town then be prepared for a lot of people. Volume isn't an excuse for poor service. There are good bartenders and then bad bartenders. This place is full of bad ones.

I've had pretty mixed experiences here - the first time I went was a blast and they had a great happy hour. Seriously cheap beers for a place like Breck, nice dive-bar atmosphere. Second time I went I got a white Russian that was $10. Thought that was a little steep for a drink in a rocks glass. I've never had food there, and I don't suspect it would be anything special, but go for the happy hour and drink cheap beer. Just don't order anything they have to mix.

We had breakfast here. I liked how they kept the decor 100% authentic. It felt like we stepped into the 1920s. The Jack Daniels water bottle was a nice touch. My egg benedict was pretty good, but flavorless. The hollandise sauce had no flavor at all. It was a little strange. The hash browns, on the other hand, were awesome! Service was quick and prompt.

Great breakfast. Two eggs and ham cooked perfectly. Relaxed atmosphere, exactly the kind of breakfast I was searching for, and open earlier than most places.
