Sherpa House Restaurant is run by a family of Sherpas and serves authentic Himalayan cuisine. The restaurant is built as a replica of a typical Sherpa home in the Solu-Khumbu region of Nepal. The ambiance at Sherpa House Restaurant is traditional and features original artifacts from the region. It is a unique place for families to explore the flavors of Himalayan cuisine while also learning something new about the Sherpa culture. Appetizers include samosas, which are deep-fried pastries stuffed with mildly spiced potatoes, momos filled with either vegetables or meat, and a variety of deep fried pakoras. For a main course, you can try Sherpa-style chow mein or traditional chicken, lamb and yak curries that are delicately spiced with garlic, onions, ginger and cumin and served with rice. You can end your meal at Sherpa House Restaurant with sweet delicacies like ambrosia, kheer or gulab jamun.
