Brought to Bay Ridge by Abdul Elenani and his wife, Ayat Masoud,'this is a small spot that shows mighty care and pride in its cooking. Housed on a busy avenue, a glass fa'ade with vines and strung-up lights sets it apart; inside, the space'is basic but tidy and has all the neighborhood vibes. Think walls covered in murals and a long counter where guests can watch flatbreads being formed on the dome-shaped saj and shawarmas rotating on a spit.This Palestinian menu features dishes made with heart and soul. The classics are indeed represented, with mezze like babaghanoush and beef shawarma drizzled with tahini and served on a bed of fluffy rice.
