3 stars = for average Pizza! and since this is in Harrogate, TN, it's really the only option here besides Oasis. Unless you want to drive 15 minutes to Roma Pizza in New Tazewell, which is actually much better then this place. All my friends told me the pizza at Gondolier is better than Oasis down the street so I went with it and it wasn't bad. The pizza tasted great, and you get free breadsticks if you dine in! There is tons of space inside so you can bring big groups. Come here for PIZZA though, I heard their calzones, gyros sandwiches and pretty much everything else on the menu aren't that great (the sandwiches at Roma 4 are much better). So just be aware of that. This is right off the LMU campus. I would choose dominos or Roma 4 over gondolier.

In town visiting family, they took us to dinner here. Great food, and great service! Clay, our waiter was helpful, engaging, friendly, and fun! And the deserts, wow! We'll definitely stop in here again when back in town!!

Not much better than Chef Boyardee. Save yourself the expense and the aggravation, pull out your can opener at home, and in 1 minute and 30 seconds, you will experience all that the Gondolier has to offer. I tried the Lasagna, and it was bad. The Italian sub, where the heck is the meat? The desserts look great, but they lack bold flavor. The Gondolier is a huge disappointment. If you want Italian food, you are out of luck and completely out of options in Harrogate, Middlesboro, and Tazewell/New Tazewell.

I used to love Gondolier! I really enjoyed their Greek food. That is until last night... My husband and I spent all day flying to TN from Idaho because my father-in-law passed away. We were tired, emotional and sick (we were both recovering from the flu). The only thing that sounded good was going to Gondolier, which we can't get anywhere else, and to our delight they were open till 11 and because of traveling we made it a little after 10. As soon as we walked in, two of the male employees started whispering and giving us hateful looks and all of the kitchen staff stopped and just stared at us. I've never felt so many hateful stares in my life! I wanted to leave immediately, but my mother-in-law had us stick around. The Greek food I got was still good (one star), our waitress was polite (thank goodness! I almost burst into tears at all those evil glances; another star), but our silverware was dirty (no star), and all the hate (DOUBLE NO STAR) was too much. It was hurtful and rude and I should have talked to a manager because it was completely unprofessional. Needless to say, we decided we're never going back. Which is sad because before last night I would have given it a much higher rating.

The best pizza and breadsticks in the Tri-State area. Great atmosphere and great price!

I walked in at 10pm they close at 11pm everyone looked at me like I killed Pope Francis. As the cold hearted killer I sat down and ordered fajita steak on rice for my final meal before it was my turn on death row. Steak was good (but you can't really mess up fillet minon), vegetables were undercooked, rice was too salty. The waitress was very nice and polite but everyone in the kitchen looked as though I insulted their mother and I was going out back for an old western duel. It shouldn't be a pain to see customers walk into your place of employment for crying out loud we give you a job, don't look at them as if you are personally insulted that you get more work hours. Service and customer appreciation I would give 0, food I would say was a 2, waitress gets a 4 (for being good, caring, and efficient). This also could have been better if the cooks actually put forth an effort to make the food instead of getting out the door 30 mins before closing.

The service was good, but let me tell you this Italian restaurant is more like a variety restaurant. 2 Words to describe this place: Cafeteria Food! My husband ate some fajita special that he said was ok. But I had the chicken Parmesan and even after loading it with salt and extra parm it wasn't very good. Bland bland bland. The breadstick sauce actually seemed better seasoned than what came on my meal. My kids had a cheese Pizza that had the tests of one you'd order at a bowling alley, Digiorno would have been better.

In my opinion this is the best Gondolier I have ate at. By far the best host ( looked like Elvis), waitress ( named after a season) and food I have had. Very clean restaurant and restrooms. The desserts are outstanding. No alcohol is seved at this location.

Definitely serviceable Italian. Not the best out there but superior to most chains like Olive Garden. Overall very good for the price and region. The eggplant parmigiana is pretty good surprisingly!

Good service, and they have a large menu. Unfortunately, not all of the food is of the same quality. Some seems like frozen food warmed up, and then other food is really good. I had a salad that was really good, with grilled chicken on it, almonds, and even cranberries. It was a really nice salad. I had the dressing on the side, so I could add just a little if I wanted it. The breadsticks are great when they are fresh ... here is a tip, if you order them plain, they will make you fresh ones, and they melt in your mouth.
