    ***3.75 Stars*** Do me a favor... Close your eyes. Now picture yourself tired and weary after a loooooooong and fun day at the beach. You just spent the day hauling tons of equipment (tent, chairs, beach umbrella and a variety of kids' toys) to the beach, chasing after your twin monkeys, rinsing sand out of the most intimate of crevices (both your own and your kids') and then at the end of the day hauling back all of the stuff back to the family mini van. Add to this the fact that you drove 3 hours to the beach and almost 3 hours back home. Before crossing over the Bay Bridge you pull off a route 50 exit on Kent's Island in an area called Kent's Narrow with one thing in mind; an ice cold beer and some tasty food. By now your body is tired, your mind is exhausted and your stomach is growling out loud like Sloth from "The Goonies". "Raaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! Hey you guuuuuuuuys!!" "Shut up Sloth!!" As you pull into the parking lot of this place you see groups of cars parked in front of a turquoise blue building sitting at the edge of the water. The time between pulling into the parking lot and being seated at the table are all a blur as hunger has now taken over. It's okay...you look around and know you're in a safe place that'll take care of you. You're now at the Fisherman's Crab Deck. Picture yourself tired...not anymore. You feel some energy come into you as you're seated at a table overlooking the bay and boats parked at a pier. Picture yourself thirsty...not anymore. Any thirst is soon quenched as your first beer quickly goes down. The beer so cold that large drops of condensation form on the outside of your plastic cup. Picture yourself hungry...not anymore. From freshly steamed crabs to shrimp to soft shell clams. There is such a variety of delicious seafood that the best within will soon be satisfied with sacrificial offerings of Maryland's finest seafood offerings. Picture yourself...satisfied. What a wonderful way to break up the long drive home. With smiling wait staff who are always happy to see you no matter how stinky you may be (smelling of sweat, sea water and sunscreen lotion), they'll happily seat you to a table, bring you a cold drink and bring anything from their menu. On this last visit the boss lady and I shared a Steamed Variety Pot which was made up of two blue crabs, snow crab legs, clams, steamed shrimp and soft shell clams. Everything was delicious but not enough to feed two hungry adults and two starving little monkeys. We ended up ordering another pound of steamed shrimp which I washed down with my frosty plastic cup of Blue Moon beer. Ummm...tasty seafood satisfying meal with beeeeeeeeeeer. Yummers... So we all love coming here on our way back from the beach and a stop at the Fisherman's Crab Deck has now become sort of a family tradition. Just so you know, I must give my Dad full credit for telling us about this place. My Dad was the one who discovered this little restaurant which has become a "must visit" for any member of our family whenever we come back from the beach. Thanks Pops!

    Prices. Menus should have prices. Their drink menu doesn't have prices. I went for dinner on Fri. 8/24/2012. People in my party asked about the prices of specific drinks, the server didn't know. The server mentioned that some drinks are as low as $7 and some go as high as $11! Yikes. My friend asked the server to find out which drinks were $7. The server came back and announced that the drink my friend wanted indeed was a $7 drink so my friend ordered it. The regular food menu has prices for food. When we were done eating, I asked about desserts. I was given a dessert menu, which -- you guessed it -- didn't have prices. I asked about a specific item, the server didn't know the price and had to go find out what the price is. Why can't they publish the prices of everything? And if they don't publish the prices, the servers should know the prices without having to go away, find out the prices and return. The food was in general fine. But the dessert I ordered, a homemade nutty ice cream cone was horrible. The ice cream was vanilla and was like ice milk. I ate the cone and the chocolate coating on the ice cream and left the "ice cream." I notified the server that the ad said "ice cream" -- and they should either change the ad to say "ice milk" or actually make real ice cream. The server took the charge off my bill. Yeah. But please, please, put the drink and dessert prices on the menu. I enjoyed eating outdoors next to the marina. But next time I need to have dinner in the area, there are too many other outdoor/marina restaurants to try -- and I'll try one of them instead of going back to the Crab Deck. With any luck, the other restaurants will have prices on their menus.

    I really wanted to love this place but I honestly can't give more than 2 stars. :( GREAT decks, "inside" and out!!!! Friendly staff. I was passing by on the way to Salisbury and hungry for a little lunch. I ordered the crab soup (not chowder) and an appy - crab dip. Now I know, having grown up in MD, that crab soup is often salty. Unfortunately this soup was sooooo overly salty that it was awful. Barely edible. I had high hopes for the crab dip as it came highly recommended by the waitress as a popular starter. How on earth can they go sooooo wrong on this???? I loooove crab and I loooooove cream cheese and I loooove sourdough bread. BUT... It was like a pound of cream cheese, heated up and stirred with a bit of Old Bay seasoning and a little bit of crab meat. The goo was so thick and overpowering that I couldn't even tell if there was blue crab in it or not. It seemed to be snow crab from the teeny tiny bits I tasted - barely. And with the almost nonexistent amount of crab meat, I found it especially annoying to have to pick so much shell out of my mouth. Too bad. Like I said, I really wanted to like this place but I will not go back, unless perhaps just for drinks on the deck. No food though.

    Stopped in for lunch and sat at the bar. Was greated promptly and with a smile. The crab soup came out right away and was piping hot. A big plus for me. Crabcake had a fair amount of crab and was good, but not great. The winner of the meal was definatly the soup. The atmosphere was what I expected, very casual and laid back.

    Went to have drinks on the deck by the water. Wine and beer kinda of pricey. Atmosphere was nice. Would go back for drinks. No all you can eat crabs. Sell crabs by the dozen.

    AWESOME atmosphere and service is great! The day we went for crabs, they only had meds and large. The "large" crabs were not that great, but the flavor was good. I'm sure if they had jumbos that day it would've been an even better time. Nonetheless, this place is great, and you will not be disappointed if you go. NOTE: We also tried the seafood nachos, the hush puppies and the steamed shrimp. Everything was really good. Everything is good and sitting inside or outside is great. We also really enjoyed watching all the boat traffic go by! JUST STOP IN AND HAVE A GREAT TIME!

    Another great must stop in Maryland! Kent Narrow's is a beautiful place and this restaurant is situated right in front of it all. You are surrounded by water on all sides and can walk on the dock to enjoy the sun before or after your meal. Food and drinks are good and the kids love the nutty buddy!

    I stopped on the way home across the Bay Bridge. Ordered snow crab legs with a side of corn on the cob and a draft Yuengling. Atmosphere was what you'd expect from this sort of place. Lots of people, lots of bus groups. Plastic chairs, kind of cramped. Beer was served in 12oz plastic cups, not ideal but whatever. Was not compelled to order a second. Crab legs were complicated. I received a full cluster of legs (one side of the crab), plus one extra arm/claw (I'm assuming this was thrown in to meet the weight requirements of the dish). The main cluster was really perfect, no complaints whatsoever. The additional claw, however, was unpalatable. Discolored, hard to crack, tough meat, and foul tasting. I hate to bring a good dish down, but this portion of what I was served was uneatable. Corn on the cob was delicious, but covered in silk. I know it's the eastern shore, and as such I'm accustomed to eating corn in this condition, but most travelers would appreciate a properly shucked cob when paying restaurant prices. Overall this is a safe place to stop every year during your pilgrimage across the bay bridge. Most was pretty good, but could have been much better with just a little more attention to detail.

    I shared the sampler entree. It included a famous Maryland crab cake, scallops, shrimp, and fish. Also had the cream of crab soup and it lives up to its name with chunks of crab meat (without all that work!). The seafood was fresh and you can taste it! Pricing is a bit much but it's definitely worth it! A great introduction to Maryland seafood. High recommendation!

    Overall this place was lack luster. Very packed, the menu wasn't very inspirational. Seafood was overpriced for the quality. I ended up with a burger, I asked for well done, I got burn on the outside and rare on the inside. The old bay fries were the star of the night but what does that say when the best thing you sell if french fries with an additional charge for old bay. The water on all sides is a cool atmosphere. But that was not enough to make up for the fact that this place seemed a little dingy, overpriced and bland.

    I have been coming to this place since I was a kid! Such great food. Crabs are always great. The staff is wonderful. The location is fantastic. The view is beautiful. Right on the water. Can dock your boat and come right in. Very open and welcoming. I highly recommend the cream of crab soup and the seafood nachos. They are awesome. Weill forever come back and always recommend this place.

    Horrible drinks and insignificant entrees, but good service. The crushed ice in our frozen cocktails tasted like it had freezer burn. The only reason we could tell, is because the drinks were otherwise tasteless and served in tiny plastic cups. The server was nice enough to replace one of our drinks with another slightly better one at no charge. The fried shrimp and crab cake tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp. Extremely disappointing for $27 bucks an entree. Red skin potatoes were bland. The only thing that was worth paying for was the garden salad. Crab imperial looked and tasted more like crab mediocre. It was overcooked and seemed like it had been reheated. We mistakenly assumed that this restaurant would be comparable to the Fisherman's Inn next door, but it's not. I won't be going back to this deck.

    Love the crab deck! I ordered the Crab Melt and it was amazing, fresh crab, anything here is fresh, it was cooked so well, I also got a cup of their award winning Cream of Crab and no wonder why its award winning it was the best I've ever had, service was good and just overall a great experience, defiantly a must do next time I come back!

    Very tasty crabs and summer drinks. Servers were great and seating was awesome...worth checking out if you are in Maryland area or passing through. One suggestion is to get 1/2 dozen of crabs and entree along with cool speciality drink that way you are full. Crabs are handful of work if you are not skilled and not much meat to fill you up.

    Ordered the calamari, seafood nachos, and hush puppies. I would think twice about the seafood nachos, but everything else was on point including the attentiveness of the server. My wife ordered the fried shrimp basket and they were HUGE! They could beat up a goldfish!

    Thanks to David who waited us last Sunday. you were awesome! love this place, normally will visit cantler's inn but sis and bro insist that we should try this one out. Thumbs up on everything .. the crabs were cooked perfectly and juicy and packed with sweet meat. the mussels were great, and so was the French fries. They were so good we had to order the second basket with the icecream dessert. the deck area was very cosi .. would definitely come back before the crab season is over. cheers!

    Love the crab deck. It's a family tradition of ours that we always go in the summer, order a dozen crabs, and play keno. The crabs are always the perfect size in comparison to the size we order. We also love the seafood nachos. Lots of seafood, cream of crab soup, and cheese are piled on top of the chips. It's delicious. Also love the open garage doors on a nice day!

    Came here on a Sunday. It was busy but we only had to wait 20 minutes for a table. After sitting there I know why, right next to the bar where you got to listen to all the drunks be obnoxious. Ordered the clams casino as an appetizer, only to be told after my husband's soup came, they were out of clams. Cancelled our crab order to leave but saw some other tables opening up. My husband asks the hostess if we could move to one of those but we're told we would have to wait another 45 minutes. No thanks. Waitress was good, felt bad for her but left her a good tip and moved on to a quieter, less "bar" like crab house. Probably won't be back due to noise and hostess's lack of desire to help us.

    I'm not a big crab eater but this place was a great hangout spot with good friends. Everyone enjoyed the large crabs that were brought to our table - it was very fresh and good amounts of meat in them. I had the fried platter (scallops, fish, shrimp, crab cake) it was well battered and light and not greasy. I enjoyed the fact that none of them were over cooked. On top of that I shared the snow crab legs and they were extremely meaty and very fresh as well. It would have been a good experience but it's a crab shack by the water. Unfortunately there were TONS of flies swarming around our tables and sometimes landing on our food; not appetizing. There were flies in the bathroom too, which made my skin crawl. Service was pretty good but not great. The waitress was kind of confused on how we wanted to split the bill. (Take the cash $100, leftover split on the cards) - this took some time. She somehow assumed the $100 was her tip on a bill that was $298? Tsk tsk my lady... Oh if you're really into ice cream - get the NUTTERBUDDIES!!! Frozen vanilla on a cone covered in a chocolate shell and topped with nuts. It's so tall and yummy and surprisingly not overwhelming.

    Tape me up & give me those big succulent crabs! (Tape the table, you perv.) My absolute favorite crab house in the area! The crabs are always fresh, extremely meaty, & seasoned very well. They come to your table accompanied by butter and vinegar. The sides are okay, but I'd rather fill my belly with crabs. Service is usually great, but when it gets busy you might have to flag down your waitress. If you like dessert, don't forget ice cream! My bf always orders the nutty butty & I get ice cream with oreos. I know....my dessert sounds boring. It's not. Just try it. I love crab deck!

    We found this place the first time thanks to a cranky toddler in the backseat and the Yelp app map search feature. It was an emergency stop but we enjoyed it so much that we have made it a tradition to eat here nearly every time we drive home from the beach. We usually don't get crabs since we are just stopping for a quick lunch on the road. My husband loves the soft shell crab sandwich, I love all the sandwiches I've tried and my son loves the corn on the cob and the fried "yummy fish." The view is great and the kids love watching the boats and the ducks that swim all around the restaurant. Of course it's great when everything is open to the water but we've been there in bad weather too when things are all closed up and it's still a great atmosphere. Looking forward to next time and warmer weather soon!

    Stopped in on the way home from the beach for a bite to eat. Was told there was a 45 minute wait, and that we couldn't eat at the bar because we had our child with us (14 months old). The hostess felt bad for us so ended up squeezing us into a spot no problem so we were very pleased. Food was just okay, what I'd expect for a casual bayside restaurant, but the drinks, service, and view were all great. Would come back.

    Consistently good crabs here along with a large menu selection and even a few hard to find Balmore classics like Fried Hard Crab and Soft Shell Clams. Fisherman's Crab Deck is only open during the later spring, summer, and early fall season largely due to its open air design that's covered but surrounded with open walls. You can dine right on the decks near the water under umbrellas. Or if the weather gets a little too steamy, the tables inside are under ceiling fans. Although Fisherman's Crab Deck isn't really a dock bar, they've tried to add a little of that flavor to what they offer by opening their own Tiki Bar on the side affectionately known as "Cappy's". They've also started introducing Live music here as well that ranges from acoustic guitar duo's to Howl at the Moon style dueling piano nights. Most people arrive by car, but the Crab Deck offers short term slips for use while dining too, so arriving by water if you own a boat is an option too. Crab Deck is also very kid friendly, from the crab shaped lolly pops at the counter to the crayons and coloring while they wait on their food, to the "quarter a handful" duck food feeders they have at the duck pond out front and on the pier behind the restaurant. Little one's will have a great time dining here too.

    Nope, never again. I've tried so many times to like this place but after Saturday I just give up. Now, I've never eaten steamed crabs there - way too expensive - so this review is based on the other food and the service. It was just two of us and we order a few items to share - the bill still came to over $50 but our waitress, Jamie, made it clear that she only pays attention to tables with bills at $100+. She would walk by us and look the other way - my husband actually had to yell for her as she walked right by our table because we simply wanted a drink refill. We watched her take care of all her other tables just fine, we obviously were not big enough spenders. Now the food - it's sad that the best thing we had was fried green tomatoes at a seafood restaurant. We ordered steamed shrimp which was OK but overdone and chewy. We also ordered the Lobster BLT, this is a $17.99 sandwich. It was the most horrible thing I ever put in my mouth. I took one bite and had to spit it into my napkin. The lobster tasted like the inside of a dirty fish tank smells. I love lobster - I have had it so many places and it has NEVER tasted like this. I'm not sure if it was bad or what happened but it was stomach wrenching. DO NOT ORDER lobster from this place! We didn't complain - it wasn't worth it. We simply paid and left. We wanted to relax by the water and have some drinks but considering our waitress never checked on us and the food was so bad we just paid the bill and left. You would have thought the waitress would have noticed that we didn't eat the $18.00 sandwich when she cleared our plates. I know when I was a waitress I would always notice when my patrons didn't eat something and I would ask them if there was a problem. It's sad that the location is so nice and the set up is great - but bad service and bad food ruins that. I wish we could like the place considering I drive by it every day on the way home from work and we are always looking for somewhere to unwind.

    There was a 45 minute wait on Sunday, it was crowded due to crab season. They have good Maryland crabs, smaller and harder to eat than the dungeones I am used to, but their seasoning was delicious. The service was not as good as the food or deck view. The deck was not open at 1:20 pm when we ate. yummy crabs, except one claw that tasted like ammonia.

    Always a treat to come by. Can't wait until the crab deck opens. They recently redid the bar for the better and named it the naughty mermaid. Wish I lived closer and I would live here.

    Worst Crab Cake I have ever eaten. I could only eat two bites because the taste of the spices were so strong. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere with live music and very open and on the water. Mom in law loved her fish and chips. One thing that irritated me a bit is that the waitress came back to the table and saw that everyone had ate their entree except me and that mine was still sitting there. She asked me if I wanted and box and I said "no" and she never asked me what was wrong with my crab cake. She just asked if we were ready for our check. Very dissapointed.

    I'm not really into seafood, with the exception of sushi. I always stick with the fish and chips, but everything does taste fresh. And their hushpuppies are delicious. Atmoshphere is great, especially when the weather is nice and the restaurant is full of people hammering away at their crabs. Love watching the smaller boats coming in and out of the marina.

    We were stuck in traffic on a long drive back from the beach and decided to stop for dinner. I walked into the Crab Deck and sighed with relief - this is exactly what we needed, casual, fun and easy. We were with our infant and 3.5 year old and it was loud enough that they wouldn't be a nuisance. There were ducks and boats to look at. Perfect. I was ready to make this a regular stop on our travels. However, the food was not good. Perhaps we should have ordered crabs, but that seemed like too big of an ordeal for a road stop. We ordered broiled fish, scallops and shrimp. It was cold, rubbery and tasted old. The crab cakes were ok, but not terrific. Even my son's mac and cheese tasted "off." I left rested and refreshed, but feeling unsatisfied.

    We always take our out-of-town guests for crabs if they visit during the summer. It's fun to watch newbies try to pull them apart. Plus, they typically throw in the towel after 2 or 3, leaving more for me. This place is an excellent spot to bring both novice and expert crab-pickers. It's right on the water with plenty of seating outside on the deck plus a covered "inside" seating area. There's a few bars and lots of places to sit and enjoy a cold one while you wait for your table. We usually go to Mike's near Annapolis, but this time we were coming from Rehoboth and didn't want to wait til we crossed the bridge to dig into to our crabs. FCD is in a great location to break up the trip from the beach back to NOVA. There are other options here if you don't want crabs. In addition to a dozen large ($55 on 6/10), we also got one of their seafood buckets which contained mussels, clams, a snow crab cluster, shrimp, 2 more blue crabs, and two side dishes for $31 (we got potatoes and corn--both were good). They have 2 other seafood bucket options, one with lobster. The restaurant shares a parking lot with a yacht dealership, so you can browse for your next recreational purchase when leaving.

    The fried soft shell crab sandwich is memorable! The ratio of bun to crab was exactly right. There were 2, perfectly fried soft shell crabs in the bun topped off with lettuce & tomatoes. Fried crabs had the right amount of crunchiness; superb! Good fries came with the sandwich. Order one of their special alcoholic drinks to top if all off. The weather was perfect for sitting outside on the picnic bench style tables. You get to look at birds, boats, water & blue sky on a clear day. The doors for outdoor seating can be closed off if the weather is bad. The doors are garage style, it appears. We came here for lunch after shopping at Queenstown Premium Outlets. It is south of the outlet; about 10 minutes away. This gives you 2 perfectly good reasons to pay the toll to get there; discount shopping and excellent food at a reasonable price with good viewing. You get good value for your money. That may be 3 to 4 reasons to pay the toll; if you are counting. LoL.

    Favorite crab house... wish it was a lot closer. Sitting in 2 hours of traffic got our tummys ready for the tasty crab meat. Try to head out to the crab deck when the weather is nice because you will be able to look out at the water and feel the breeze while chomping down on mouth watering seafood. Makes you feel like you're at the beach at least for a few hours. Wait is typically long but waitstaff is prompt and friendly. Don't forget to grab a nutty buddy, which is the size of your face.

    Looking to satisfy my craving for fresh steam crabs and the Fishermans Crab Deck but found the opposite. Over priced, over cooked. Two steamed crabs almost cost the same price of a fish dinner. Over cooked to the point that there was no meats in the claws. Tasted old. When I asked the waitress she mentioned that the season was not the best and the crabs were mediums but heavy......NOT. Light on the meat and over seasoned as well. On top of that the crabs were from Louisiana! Hey thanks for being honest here but say the crabs are out of season and stick to crab cakes! I swear if I had a scoop net I could have taken a few from the pilings next to the restaurant that would have been at least fresh. Ordered the fried fish dinner and one of the most expensive dinner on the menu and it was tasteless. You figure the strong original taste of scallops would separate the favors from the shrimp and fish. Everything tasted the same. I wonder if it was frozen and cooked. How the hell do you screw up fried fish? Crab chowder tasted great but then again with that much cream, butter and canned crab anyone can get that taste. Oh one other thing. Saltine Crackers in plastic were stale. How does that happen? There enclosed in plastic!!!! The one star is for the waitress who had a great smile especially when she said the crabs were from Louisiana.

    My girlfriend and I found this place while we were exploring Kent Island on Memorial Day weekend. This review is for the bar only. Yes, exploring Kent Island. We were bored and didn't care to head to downtown Annapolis because it was quite crowded. Anyways, Kent Island was cool and we found this little gem. We found houses with attached aircraft hangars and the backyard was a grass airstrip! Crazy awesome. Anyways, this place. The bar was great. We just wanted to have a quick drink and enjoy the atmosphere. We ended up having three drinks each. The bartenders were super-cool girls and ours even gave us a free drink. She put some blended concoction in front of me and said "Here drink this!" And I didn't get roofied!!! Prices were excellent, I think our total tab was around $15. Seemed low but she never gave me a full print out of what the charges were, so I just tipped well :-). The only downside (and the reason it gets 3 stars instead of 4) was that we weren't allowed to order food from the bar because the restaurant had a wait. I don't know if this is a universal restaurant rule, but after three drinks, we wanted some crab balls and fries to munch on, but we were rejected! We would have even had more drinks while waiting for the food, but no dice. They even have a specific menu for the bar! Other than that one rule, this place is fantastic and we are probably going to hit it up this weekend. I recommend the blended milkshake-like drinks. My girlfriend got a mango something. It was great, like a milkshake, BUT WITH BOOZE! Yes please!

    First things first the experience i was expecting was exactly what i would want in a crab house. Tv's open floor plan with easy access to the docks and the bar, this is what i want. On a Sunday, at 1pm all the tables were taken up and there was a small wait. A quick visit to the bar and we were sat instantly. My parents wanted to play Keno as it was right behind us , a few seconds later our waitress came, took orders and had our appetizers out by their return, rather impressive. We ordered soup, hush puppies and 2 dozen medium crabs. The soup was great , Maryland crab at its best, full of luscious lump crab meat; likely the best i had all year. The hush puppies were fair, strangely they were served with butter. When the crabs were brought to the table i was expecting them to be two sizes or so smaller , to our surprise they were their mediums, I would love to see their XL. They were all heavy and seasoned fairly, I like a lot more salt and heat which these lacked. As for our waitress, she was okay, at best. She failed to bring water's when we asked for them on multiple times. Again dropping the ball when we asked to have our table cleared. It took getting deserts and even more requests to get the table freed of crab shells. The rush might have flustered her, so we weren't too offended when our requests weren't filled. The experience was passable, nothing was overly special but passable for a crab house severing some of Maryland's freshest .

    Want some amazing Maryland blue crabs on the Chesapeake Bay with a lively atmosphere and great service? THIS is the place!! I took my family here on a very busy Saturday afternoon and was thrilled with everything about this restaurant! We sat outside by the breezy water and enjoyed a delicious crab dip appetizer. My daughter (who is 2) gobbled it up! We then of course had large Maryland steamed blue crab and my husband had the crab cakes. All came prompty and the service was amazing and the place was packed! Our drinks were always filled, my daughter was given crayons, and we had napkins galore. Food was GREAT. This is such a great authentic Maryland crabhouse. Highly recommend to anyone!!

    Being a Maryland native, I've eaten many different seafoods and have had the Maryland Blue Crabs all throughout my life. Usually I've eaten them at home with my mom cooking them up with some old bay. I came here with two friends and we sat outside (this was back in April when it was still nice out). We ordered some of their signature mixed drinks, which were really good! i forget their names but it's on the big wooden menu above the bar. I like how they freshly squeeze the lemon and oranges there. We went outside to the dock while waiting for a table, and you can feed some ducks there with the bird feeder (25 cents) and it's a really nice view, especially for taking pictures. We ordered large crabs, hush puppies, corn and everything was so amazing. The crabs were in season and there was so much meat! If you havent eaten crabs that much, you have to be a patient eater. There's a lot of work that goes into getting all that meat out. We also ordered oysters, which were phenomenal. I thought oysters at Clydes were amazing, but these were really fresh and awesome. Try dipping the crab in vinegar, adds a little zing to the saltiness of the old bay. We had to move inside as it was getting really windy and about to rain. But we just sat right by the doors and started our next portion of crabs at the new, clean table. I like that it's not too far from annapolis. It's right off the bridge after you cross it. we drove an hour from montgomery county, md which is average for going towards annapolis.

    Visited a friend on the Eastern Shore and went there to lunch with her today (funny to hear her introduce us as her friends from the "Western Shore"). The food was good; wish we had time to do steamed hard shell crabs, they looked soooo good; the view was beautiful; drink could have used a little more rum but was tasty; help very sweet. A really nice day and wish we lived on the other side of the bridge--well no, not really, wish they were on our side of the bridge.

    We stopped here on our way to Delaware over the Memorial day weekend and just fell in love with the place. Since moving to the NoVa area, we have not be able to find a crab place that sits right on the water. If you know of once, send me a message and I will go check it out. I know there are other crab places, but sitting in a Marina just makes it so much better. The food is great, the price is avg, and the staff is awesome. A special shout out to Karis, who helped us figure out how to tackle the Maryland Crab. We have had the great luck of having her on both visits. Oh, the second visit. Our son came to town for fathers day weekend, and we drove one hour just to eat here. That is how much we love this place. I have no problem driving that far just to eat.

    Great water views. My Blackened Rockfish w/seasoned red jacket potatoes was satisfying. This was my first time eating at the Crab Deck and I liked the interior, sort of a mix of crabhouse, seafood joint and waterview dining place. It was relaxing to eat by the water.

    I enjoyed crabs at the Crab Deck on 8/5/2012. The crabs were a nice size but not full. We did get a couple of bad crabs and they were not replaced due to a power outage. The atmosphere was lovely because it sits right on the water. You can eat inside or outside. Our server (Michelle) was very friendly and provided us with outstanding service. I had my grandma's birthday party at the Fisherman's Inn but never ate at the Crab Deck. Both places are recommended. The Inn is more casual dining while the crab deck is laid back. They both have great Customer Service!

    I LOVE CRAB DECK! My girlfriends and I made it a tradition for us to eat crabs here at least once a year. Their crabs are to die for! Their crabs are so fat and packed with meat and its slightly sweet to taste. YUM! The crabs are always made to order and so its cooked perfectly consistent every time. The servers are always friendly and service is quick. We've never encountered any problems with any of their servers/service. We usually try to get a seat right at the edge just before the outdoor seating, so we can enjoy the nice weather from the shade. I don't like eating with the sun beaming in my face. But after our meal we always make sure to go out side to the boat docks to snap up some pictures. Traffic on rt 50 is always a pain so make sure you call ahead before you head out because there have been times when they ran out of crabs!

    Love it! No air conditioning, just open air. I can order 2 crabs if I want, not a half dozen if I can't manage to slog through them all. And then that leaves space for a half bucket of steamer clams. This is the real-deal, down-home, local JOINT. It's not the white tablecloth place next door with the inflated prices. And they're owned by the same company, so don't be confused by the website - look for the Crab Deck Menu, not the Fisherman's Menu. This is a shorts and flip-flops place. There is more to this menu than simply fried everything. They offer grilled, steamed, and fried. You can get fresh blue crabs, to order and one-by-one if you so desire. The calamari (boyfriend's dinner) and tuna ahi were amazing. Ahi was just right and rare. Calamari was light and crunchy, with an amazing, garlicky aioli. The calamari was definitely enough to share if you are ordering other things, or enough for one for dinner with a salad. We also ordered the rockfish "special" app., which was rolled in sesame seeds and served with a sesame drizzle and seaweed salad - this was totally tasteless, so it may have been outside of their comfort zone - definitely not a Maryland specialty with these flavors. Stick with what they know and do best. A great setting on the water, really laid-back. I will be back, a lot.

    It was pretty busy, and our waitress was very nice and super accommodating. However, foodwise it was decent. The best thing our table ordered was the steamed crabs and the crab cakes. They were very meaty and generous. They did have great deals on steamed seafood combos compared to everything else on the menu. I'm not sure if I would come back just because MD has so many other options for better seafood and deals.

    Great service, great crabs! We liked the casual and waterfront atmosphere of this restaurant. Our server was super friendly. Our crabs were pretty good considering it wasn't the "season" for them yet. The cream of crab soup is probably the best I've had! The only negatives were that the restaurant could be cleaner and it would be nice to be served beer in a regular glass, not a flimsy clear plastic cup. All in all, we had a good time and enjoyed our meal.

    I'm not high on this place because they ride on their location and don't seem to put much effort into the food. In other words, if this wasn't on the water, it likely wouldn't survive. 2 of the 3 stars come because of the location. I think the view is mediocre but you are on the water. Bridges and the Jetty have better views because the one from the crab deck is obstructed, but that's my opinion. The crabs and steamed shrimp are fine, but if you come here for something other than steamed seafood, expect it to be from frozen and assembled without much thought or care. They have every fried appetizer Sysco will sell you. You're served by high school kids with the food in plastic baskets and paper. It's a dock bar through and through. If you come for crabs and beer on a nice day, you'll be happy. If you come to order off the menu, you may be less than impressed.

    Large wide open crab restaurant on the water. A really, really cool place for a loud, familyish, non-datish, breezy, keen lunch or dinner. Crabs in July were tremendous. Cheesy fries yummy. Boiled (not fried) shrimp also delish. Friends liked the wings too. Corn on the cob....transcendant. Avoid the sandwiches. Grilled chicken wrap was dry and lame, which I deserve, but I was hungry for something more substantial than just crabs. The fight for the meat burns so many calories it's hard to net positive. But...again...crabs were awesome. Service is fun, smiley, and if you have a birthday, whole staff claps and sings enough to embarass your most showboatey friend. Wind comes through the wide open doors (garage doors that can be closed in inclement weather) and makes you feel like you're dining on a boat. Really nice. It is not fancy. It is loud. They have beer in pitchers. Am I creating an image here? But, it is extremely fun and worth the trip in the warm weather months if you want to avoid the chaos of parking and crowds in Annapolis. Note, on a Saturday night we waited an hour for a table of 12. Additional note, they have a homemade "Nutty Buddy" that we didn't try. I'm going back for that!!

    I have to say, this place has been around so long for good reasons! I read a blurb on their webpage and saw that the history stems all the way from the 1930's with the Crab Deck being the most recent addition to the business. The staff is completely friendly, fun. accommodating, and prompt. We were there on a very busy day and had to wait a bit for our table. You would think the staff would be a bit flustered, but they weren't! They treated us as if they just saw the very first people ever to dine in their establishment! Friendly smiles and fun abounded. The Hostesses were kind and friendly and accommodated our party of six without any questions. The service was outstanding, our drinks remained full and all of our small requests were attended to without hesitation. The food was absolutely what one would come to expect from a business that has been in the business of food for as long as they have been. It's a Crab House with Crab House food done great! It is unpretentious and doesn't pretend to be anything that it isn't. What you see and expect, is exactly what you get! So leave your stuffy shirts at home and loosen your collar and sit back in a summer atmosphere with a summer attitude and enjoy the ride!

    We stopped here on our drive from Baltimore to DE. The view from the deck on the water is nice (although we were smelling boaters' exhaust some of the time). This seems like a fun place to get messy cracking crabs, but for a quick bite, the food was just so so. The fish and chips were alright - not outstanding but not bad. I had high hopes for the crab and shrimp salad over mixed greens with a mango dressing, but it turned out that the crab still had shells in it and wasn't great and half the lettuce on the bottom was soaked in gross creamy dressing. I'm not a fan of the all small plastic cups for the drinks either. The service was great though and I like the open air dining.

    Have been here several times with my boyfriends family and friends. It's a great atmosphere for picking crabs and drinking! It's right on the water and has indoor deck and outdoor seating. They have a full menu of seafood and appetizers but we always just get crabs. The cocktails are pretty strong. I always get the bloody marys and Butter me up. They have a large selection of different cocktails to choose from. Lots of tropical summer drinks. Service has always been good and the staff is very friendly. Great atmosphere for large party's. I always look forward to coming here for our annual crab deck fun!

    Ill start with the easy part, the only good dish any of us had was the lobster BLT. Everthing else was either drowned in cream or fried to death. The bad: cream of crab soup, oyster chowder, seafood nachos, crab balls, and the fish and chips were average. Service was unattentive.

    My wife was born and raised in California, and Seafood is not her favorite. For her, king crab and snow crab legs from the Wynn Hotel in Vegas was always the best until she tried this restaurant. I am sure there are many other nice restaurants where you can get great crabs. However, if you want to enjoy the scent of Maryland Chesapeake bay bridge while you are driving with your love ones, or enjoy the gorgeous sunset over the Chesapeake bay bridge, you can try this place. Food including their special house steamed crab was good! Service was pretty satisfactory. Price was not cheap, but nor expensive. The best part was the home made ice cream with chocolate cover. I do not know why, but it was so good after salty seafood. Overall, this is my favorite crab deck so far. However, this place can be little crowded and loud. I do not think this is a good place for ppl who wants to have nice clean table with high end service : )

    We went after reading about it in Washingtonian Magazine. The cream of crab was amazing - lumps of fresh crab meat, fresh butter/cream, and lightly seasoned (so good, we took one home, too!). The beer prices were reasonable and the crabs were sweet and tasty as we watched the sunset on the deck. It was worth the drive from DC. Our waitress was so sweet and we had a great view of the boats. The least pleasant thing was a few drunks at the bar watching NASCAR, but who could blame them?

    Great seafood, casual atmosphere, prices average in the upper teens to twenties per entree (comparable to other area seafood restaurants). The prime rib really stands out and is one of the best I have ever had (and I have been trying to find better many places elsewhere including high-end steak houses). Definitely recommend!!

    If you are headed to the eastern shore (Cambridge, Salisbury, Ocean City, Rehoboth) from DC/Baltimore, this place is in Kent Narrows, right off of 50/301. It's a little beachy, with an "indoor" section that's that's the perfect mix of inside and outside on a summer day. The crabcake was just ok, and opinions are mixed on the lobster blt. Pretty good service. This place is worth exiting the highway for, but probably not if you have to cut across four lanes to get to the exit in time.

    Relatives took me here for my very first Maryland crab experience, and it did not disappoint. I expected it to be really crowded since it was lunchtime on a Saturday, but we got a nice table out on the deck. The weather was beautiful and the Crabs and Hush Puppies were delicious. The crabs were covered in Old Bay, which is basically my favorite seasoning of all time! We spent a good part of the afternoon enjoying the crabs and cocktails out on the deck, a perfect Summer day. Until a big thunderstorm came and we all had to go inside. Thankfully our server (who was terrific the entire time) quickly got us situated at a table inside before it started raining really hard. If I lived in the area, I'd be coming here all the time!

    For crabs I always venture out and around Annapolis. Ever thought of crossing that Bay Bridge? If so, there are more options for a crabby party. About 5-10 minutes from crossing the bright takes you to Fisher's Crab Deck. Here, the docks are literally few steps from the restaurant where the boats are right in your face especially the ones with big engines. We went over there during the Memorial weekend, it was still early for crabs in my opinion but we couldn't resist feasting on them. The restaurant was located on Kent's Narrow a tiny strip of island and the restaurant was the largest on the island. It's not fancy and certainly no fuss. We were greeted and seated quickly. The restaurant was comfortably packed so perhaps the staff was not overwhelmed like the ones over at Annapolis. The staff was much more friendly and laid back. We ordered a dozen of large crabs, the largest and only size available at that time. They were good but not consistently meaty it's every other one. The corn and fries were prepared well some of the better sides I had at crab restaurants. Sitting at bench we slowly picked away the crabs while viewing the beautiful large boats people took out on the nice day. There were wash sinks outside and inside the bathrooms, the outside ones were convenient but the bathroom was spacious and clean also! Overall I enjoyed my crab feast and would definitely go back!

    Ok I want to give this place a better rating but considering they stuck my family in the last table in the back up against a cramped wall (party of 6) I am going to have to rip them a new one...our server tried to make up for it but he stunk.. we were eating steamed crabs yet we had to ask for knives, a bucket for the shells, mallets, knives, and bibs...WTF as soon as we ordered the 4 dozen (68.00 a dozen large - those were large yeah right) crabs he should have been prepared to bring us all the fixings....the crabs were ok we had too many that were over steamed....luckily it was a beautiful day so we got past the way we were treated...I don't think we will never go back...gonna stick to places we know and love in B-more instead and screw eating on the water.

    On a nice summer day, it's a nice relaxing place to eat crabs. Staff was very nice and service was great. The $55 crabs were fine (largest they had) although having eaten at Bill's Terrace Inn and trying their 75s a few weeks earlier, they were a tiny bit disappointing (but still good!). The steamed shrimp was good. Crab Deck certainly beats out Terrace Inn for decor and ambience. Since this is out of the way for me, I don't plan to be a regular but I wouldn't mind coming back if I am in the area.

    We drive out to this place purposefully from Gaithersburg, MD at least once a month while they are open. We made our first stop there this year and heard that there would be a two hour wait. Since they have plenty of opening seating in the back area we went to the bar and ordered drinks and enjoyed the sunshine. Within less than an hour our table was ready. I ordered the large crabs and my wife the double cheese burger. AS always, the crabs were perfect. I have yet to be disappointed by the Crab deck but I have left unhappy from Harris multiple times. The double cheeseburger looked good. We had their homemade nutty buddies which were very good.

    The quality of the Crab Deck seems to have gone down a bit, but its still pretty great. They are an hour out from DC and a great place to stop to break up a trip to Maryland beaches. They have a gorgeous deck and lots of seating. You can sit out there and enjoy the water and eat crabs for as long as you are able. I tried ordering something other than steamed crabs yesterday and wasn't too pleased. I found their crabcake extremely bland and their crab-vegetable soup tasted like it was a day or two old. Lesson learned, I will stick to the steamed crab from now on. They also have a small seafood market and an excellent tiki bar. Definitely worth a visit.
