Absolutely loved the Tirolese and had the chickpea and avocado dip with fresh cut veggies. The option of outside seating is nice and am looking forward to stopping by for some live music. They also allow BYOB for beer and wine, which is very nice. One of Indialantic's best locally owned restaurants.

Great find! Walking by to go to another restaurant, a patron dining outside recommended the place- having the best cappuccino and lively Italian owners, so we went in. So glad we did, incredible hospitality, remarkable cappuccino and amazing pastry! Go!!

We enjoyed breakfast here. It is a small cafe and on a weekday morning there was only one other table busy. We came for the gluten free pancakes, which were a treat. The chocolate chip pancakes were like a big soft cookie and my daughter loved them! I had GF pancakes with fresh blueberries, eggs & sausage. The GF pancakes were a good size and only $1 extra, which is reasonable. Our coffee was good & my husband received a 3rd refill to go- nice ending.

I would have rated this cafe 4-5 stars after my first visit, but unfortunately my rating went downhill after my second visit today. Curiosity originally led my mom and I here since we like trying new restaurants, and I was wowed by my meal. I tried an almond latte, Nutella croissant, and 2 eggs with bacon breakfast. The eggs breakfast was a great deal at only $5.99, and my scrambled eggs and home fries were perfectly seasoned. And that croissant...so good! The almond latte hit the spot too. My mom got the quiche which had a great presentation, but the bottom layer filo dough was a little undercooked. The croissant alone was enough to get me to come back and take my boyfriend along with me for a second visit a few weeks later. Right away, I was disappointed as the owner told me she had just sold the last croissant (this was 2 hours before close by the way). I probably should have left then and there and come back another day because little did I know that event would foreshadow the rest of our experience. She offered me alternatives but I declined as I was set on the croissant. I ended up ordering the Parma panini, and my boyfriend got the 2 eggs and pancakes breakfast. As we waited for our meal outside, we noticed a young boy (maybe aged 5-7?) running around, terrorizing the place in my opinion. He started by playing with the doors continuously opening, closing, and propping them, but then it quickly turned into bothering the other couple eating outside and playing with their dog. We thought it was a customer's child at first until we realized it was the owners' child. The owner did take him inside at one point, but he came back within minutes. We were shocked the owner didn't go out of her way to get her son to leave the couple alone, as she ignored the issue several times on her trips outside. There were only 3 tables occupied with customers including us (8 customers total), so it wasn't that busy. If I had to guess, I'd say he was bothering the couple and their dog for a total of 15 minutes. It was very unprofessional on the owners' part, and I felt so bad for the couple. You could tell they were getting annoyed, and we were getting frustrated just watching and listening. I understand if you have to take your child to work, but at least make it a priority to keep him away from the customers. After all, we're there trying to enjoy our meals, not babysit. Although the food was tasty, my boyfriend was pretty disappointed in his meal, as the pancakes were puny sized (not what you would find at most breakfast joints, probably equivalent in size to a doughnut), and he asked for chocolate chips in them if possible and didn't get them. The owner came by when he was halfway through apologizing for the lack of chocolate in them as her husband, the chef, saw the request too late. I'm not sure why she didn't mention anything sooner or offer any solutions. My panini was okay. I'm not sure how Italians do paninis, but it was warmed on thick bread over being pressed, so I was disappointed. I did order a small cannoli and that was good, one of the best I've had. My mom knew I was going here today and wanted to try the pasta since the owner mentioned it was all homemade on our first visit, so I ordered her the Sicilia Leggera to-go. I tried a bite and it was nothing special and rather salty. She was not impressed either, and the penne pasta definitely didn't seem homemade. I would expect more from an authentic Italian cafe. It was not worth the $8.99. As if that isn't enough, when it came time to paying the bill which was an unnecessary $31 (I still can't believe my boyfriend's orange juice was $3.49!), my card was somehow switched and charged someone else's bill at $29. I'm honest, so my boyfriend brought it to her attention, and I was refunded and charged the correct amount. I was surprised she didn't offer to at least credit something like the cannoli for the mistake. Almost everything went wrong on this second visit, and let's just say I didn't get my boyfriend hooked on this cafe which was the original plan. My first visit was on a weekday when the cafe was empty and the second was on a weekend when there were a few more tables occupied, so maybe weekdays are a better time to go. Afterall, it's just the two owners that operate the business for now, so if it's busy, it affects the food quality and service. The 3 of us including my mom will be reluctant to go back anytime soon. I have hope for the owners, since I think their business is a great idea and it's always great to see new local businesses succeed, but they need to iron out some of the kinks mentioned above. Additionally, some, not all, of the food quality needs to be improved, but most importantly, it's the experience and customer service that need immediate attention.

Awesome dinner. Had Rigatoni Gorgonzola with Pistachios. Can bring your own bottle of wine-no corkage charge. Lovely owners and very attentive waitstaff. First visit was for breakfast. Terrific eggs, seasoned potatoes. Great croissants and muffins. Love to see a restaurant succeed when the owners really care!

I came to Melbourne for a business weekend and brought my family along. We went to the Cappuccino and Pasta Café since I had a restaurant.com coupon. We are so glad that we ate dinner there. The staff truly cares about the service and the food. You can tell that they take it all to heart. The recommendations from our waitress were perfect and we were amazed at the quality of the food. I have already recommended the restaurant to people that I have spoken to and I would definitely return on my next visit

Awesome little restaurant, everything is authentic Italian.. even the owners who are amazing. We recommend this place for it's great service and friendly amotsphere. But definitely we recommend it because of its good Italian food. Everything is done by the owner. The brioche are to die for. We took home Baba al rhum and tiramisu.

Best authentic Italian restaurant beachside. Go there once, you'll be impressed. Go twice and you're part of the family. Secret menu item is Sicilian pizza. You must call 4 hours beforehand so the dough can rise. Friday and Saturday evening features live music.

Great authentic Italian hospitality from owners Mario & Daniela! Sat outside, enjoyed pasta, dessert and a great cappuccino as promised :) The restaurant offers cooking classes, too. So fun!

I tried going to this place of business early on a Sunday morning for breakfast and chose them because they had a television and could get certain soccer games that happened to be on at 9am. When we came in there was a child, about 5 or so, watching Disney on the tv. You could tell he was the owner's son because he was randomly watching tv in this restaurant. I told the woman we were looking for somewhere to watch the soccer game and this was the only breakfast spot with a tv (trying to politely imply that expecting adult patrons to be entertained by Disney was not reasonable especially when they had a specific request and reason for choosing your restaurant) and she said "Well he is watching Disney." And on that note folks...we are out! I apologized stating 'we were just trying to spend money here,' she acted offended and we left. I can't believe a restaurant's television babysitter is more important than a paying customer having a request. At that point it was not about watching the game, it was the fact that as a customer, clearly my experience there was not important to her. Now reading the review below about the owner's child terrorizing other patrons, I see I am not the only one who has had such an unfortunate incident. As far as the food, I cannot review that because I did not have the opportunity to taste it as I was conditionally welcomed.

We stopped in this morning on the recommendation of our server from last nights dinner. This is the real thing with well made espresso based coffees. We had two cappuccinos followed by a macchiato and all were excellent. The pastry was delicious as well. We highly suggest stopping here for coffee and breakfast. As we were only passing through town we did not try lunch or dinner. Very nice and engaged owners- from Italy!'

We visited here twice and I had best fries and cappuccino.Every thing we ordered wonderful. The owners are nice and I can tell they are trying their best. But When I see one of the reviews,I really do not understand why people always try to get credit or free stuff when they think people made mistake. It is a shame.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
