Have you ever been to a place and said I want this near me. This place is by far the best concept for a micro brewery I've ever seen. The great architecture coupled with the area for the kids to roam is epic! To the food an beer! The wait staff is solid very much on top of your needs. The family had the BBQ platter, Mac n cheese, and a roadhouse Cobb salad. The BBQ was a bit over cooked and too moist ( crockpot like roast beef), they had a great cumber salad that was placed in the middle of the plate, but the vinegar used to pickle the cucumbers spread through the plate juices and in my opinion ruined the great favors. I would recommend a dish for the side. The mac n cheese was truly homemade great stuff. The Cobb salad appeared great with a chili vinegarette and a $6 added chicken breast, the dressing was a bit spicy for my wife and the blue cheese was very robust. All the ingredients were fresh. I would definitely eat here again. I offer my criticism to the chef and note it was good but could have been better. Now to the beer. Loved it they had an ice coffee stout on nitro that was great. I wanted a keg for breakfast beers! Then I had two of their rhombus ipa's very well balanced not overly hopped good beer. I will be back for this place.

Awesome decor and ambiance! A really fun place to go after a long day hiking and sightseeing. Friendly staff and generous portions. I got the ebony and ivory salad and it was ok, though my brother got the BBQ platter (to split with the table-it was huge) and the BBQ was great. The beers weren't bad, and I liked that a brewery offered not just their own beers but had a wide variety of other beers, wine, and a full-service bar.

Had a Belgium Ale that was yummy but the fried chicken was both over and under cooked. The breast was a bit dry but the leg was "bleeding". The server was great and offered to make it right but I declined in favor of a second beer.

WORST service EVER! Been coming here for years and I'm really shocked at how poor the service has become. (40) minutes to get a simple BBQ plate. Inexcusable, given that the place was only half full. ribs were dry, brisket was dry, pulled pork was dry, but the sausage was good.....

Shrimp and Grits and the Salmon was great! The strawberry Rhubarb tart was delicious! Atmosphere was great! Love the ambience.

What a wonderful place. The Belgian ale selection was fantastic. The Avarice & Greed Belgian Golden ale is hands down the best I've had outside of Belgium! The Rhombus IPA is a must try too! The menu is to die for..the Bbq platter and the Fried Chicken were amazing. The ambience is fantastic. The Porch and Lawn seating was great with kids enjoying the lawn and parents free to eat, drink, and converse. This is the perfect example of an all American family friendly brewpub!

We had a great experience at Q this summer - two families each with two elementary school kids. The setting itself is great. Very Jackson. Casual but classy. A couple of notable items: First, being someone with some onerous food allergies, the waiter did his best to accommodate my needs but then excused himself. He came back with the head chef who was welcoming and warm, absorbed my needs (and food preferences) and then went back to the kitchen to create a dish that was consistent with the menu but perfect for me. He brought it out himself. The whole experience brought smiles and tears of joy from others at the table. Second, this is a great place for kids. They were able to order their food, enjoy some peanuts, throw some shells on the floor and then head out to the yard and play. The whole thing looked like a scene out of a movie. Complete with the MOOSE! who came by the yard to grab something from the garden. Really. Lastly, the rest of the family enjoyed their meals. Trout was delicious and the beer was good too. Highly recommend Q.

Cool relaxed atmosphere after a long day of hiking and sightseeing. Had live music which added to a perfect sunset on early fall day!!! Has the pork bbq which was decent but a little dry. Flavor was good, but a little pricey but nothing outside of Jackson prices. Had the two saison beers which were quite good. The pale was decent but I think I will stick with either saison beer. Want to go back to try some things since the reviews are split but...... my friends don't want to go back.. One thing that irked some people was they charge 3 bucks per sample of beer..The pour was big for a taste... Prob 2 ounces... But who charges for a taste... If I don't like the full pint do I send it back??? I can understand a nominal charge to keep people from abusing a taste.... Which I don't think we did since most of us drank 4-5 beers once we found one we like. The charge almost feels like they are not confidant in their brews that they have to charge 3 bucks since they don't think its good enough to buy more. Wanted this noted since some of our friends that travel just for breweries felt this sets the wrong feel for a brewery with a local flair.

Wanted a steak and beer after riding my bike 25 miles. Well. Had to sit at the bar. It was so loud I almost pulled out my ears. Anyway. Beer was great but I do not remember the name. No regular steak ie sirloin or ribeye. Only skirt steak? Could have had a barbecue plate but give me a break $32? Service at the bar was so so. The skirt steak was fair. My sister had the Idaho trout which was the highlight of my meal eating what she left over. Bottom line. Keep going. Try something else in this billionaires town.

Very good beer! Very nice place, I loved the peanuts, and the staff was awesome. The appetizer was not good....they were supposed to be "pretzels", they were in fact little bread biscuit bites. Not pretzels. They were not very good. The salad and entrees were amazing! Great almond breaded trout!

Love the area in between restaurants for the kids to play is stellar! The service is great and the fried chicken was excellent. Best restaurant we've been to this vacation.

Great service- example, gave an old whiskey bottle full of water for the table & consistently refilled our glasses & the bottle. Interesting atmosphere of blue collar work shirts for severs, exposed concrete block, bar towels for napkins & peanut shells on the floor contrasted with a huge wine list & gigantic windows overlooking kids playing. I had the APA, Veil of something, & thought it was just OK. Wings were a disappointment- not crisp or very spicy. Duck poppers were fatty goodness. Buttery sautéed vegetables traded healthy for flavor, but I was on vacation so I enjoyed it. Amazing NY strip that I normally cut off fat, but even the fat was good - a friend ordered it & gave me a taste as proof. My crispy skin bass yet tender flesh was interesting texture with great flavor. Monkey brains were just OK (dough seemed overcooked to the point of crisp), but the whiskey ice cream was delicious.

Honestly, in our Jackson experience, this place nailed it, experience wise, although foodwise its just a middling 3-4, meanwhile their craft beer is a solid 5. Averaging out using my fancy math, it's a solid four-ish, and really, a place you should check out if you are in or around Jackson. The Q Roadhouse and Brewing Company is a family friendly summertime spot, tucked on the road adjacent to another popular food spot, Calico, in Wilson, about five to ten minutes up the road from the main downtown of Jackson, Wyoming. Imagine this as a great spot in the summertime for parents to drink a very, very good craft beer, eat some BBQ or appetizers on picnic tables, and watch your kiddos run amok on the nearby lawn. I have to give Q a five from a parents perspective. If all you want and need after a five mile hike is a cold IPA and some ice packs for your calves, meanwhile your previously exhausted kiddos (as in five second ago they were whining about their blisters) now are miraculously ready to devour an enormous meal and somehow catch a frightening second-wind, causing them to run around for another hour on the lawn playing soccer (man, how do they do it?) then this is your spot, hands down. We ordered an elk tartare (I know, I feel terrible about this choice. Terrible. Until I ate it. Gawd, I still feel guilty. But can I say it with out flinching? It was good...) an order of pigs ear lettuce wraps (sounds horrible, tastes chewy but okay), an order of spicy BBQ wings (boring, but SO good with beer), an order of squid and mango salsa (a good order but use the limes provided as it needs more acid) and finally, an order of house-made fried chiccerones. Sometimes, beer requires the most greasy and fried foods to be fully enjoyed. With kids meals at $8 for things like burgers or grilled cheese, this is not a bad stop to feed the kids early and let them run around. Adult entrees are in the $20-$35 range, so not something we opted in on, since that's fairly pricey for BBQ but in keeping with Jackson pricing. We did leave well fed in terms of appetizers and craft beer in our post-hike relaxation time, meanwhile our kids maxed out on reasonably priced kids-meals and fun, with the giant track and field set up and the throwing of peanut shells on the floor being a highlight for the under twelve set.

I had to wait entirely too long for food, with multiple staff members stopping by to say it will be out 'soon' but not much else happened. So that's not very cool.

Two stars for service...5 for food...fried chicken was spot on...congrats to the chef...service was blah...guy didn't want to be there and rushed us to get out...did see Rindercella...local bar j celebrity at the bar...must be a good place for locals only? I'm sure owner likes money but server didn't...oh well..

A terrific setting for friends and family to enjoy a meal in this lovely Teton valley. Unfortunately the food experience did not measure up, not even close. While the micro brew was good and the salads, appetizers and burgers were good were adequate, beware of the locally raised rib-eye steaks that are touted as the Chef's favorite. They were fatty (not marbled), over cooked, lacked flavor and cost $45. Yes, $45 - a rip off. You'd do better buying a steak at the Albertson's grocery store and their meet is poor at best! We will not be back to the Q Roadhouse in this lifetime.

We were looking for somewhere to eat a little closer to Teton Village and picked Q. What a neat, warm, inviting, yummy place! We picked the right place. We were greeted by an awesome host who asked if we wanted to sit by the fire or by a window. We chose window. We were promptly greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable waiter who was attentive. We didn't have to wait for anything. Drinks, food, check, it all happened in a consistent and timely manner. We started with drinks. I got the Roadhouse Shandy. It was do good I had another. The hubby got a beer which he thoroughly enjoyed. We got apps as well. I got hush puppies that came with a honey butter. Wow, what a combo. The hush puppies had great flavor with corn, onion, and green pepper. Coupled with the honey butter, who would have thought this flavor works so well together, huh?! Someone obviously knew:) The hubby got clam chowder which was chalked full of clam, very tasty. For entrees I chose the pork chop on a kale and bean salad. The pork chop was like a steak. It was so tender and juicy and gives some others I have had a run for their money and may even beat them! I got a side of grits which were also terrific- cheesey, gritty goodness. The hubby got the BBQ platter which included the brisket, pulled pork, sausage, ribs, fries, and toast. The BBQ sauce was great with a rub like quality to it: smokey & bbq-ey. The brisket was the best thing on the plate although the other stuff was good too. Then dessert. We had to splurge (like we did all vacation long) as it was our last night in Wyoming. Our waiter let us know that all of the desserts are made in-house including the ice cream. The hubby got the double chocolate bundt cake with vanilla ice cream and thought it was good. I chose the apple crumb pie with cranberry swirl ice cream. I think I found the star if the dessert menu. What a scrumptious treat! The homemade cranberry swirl ice cream was absolute perfection with cranberries in it. Yummy! I would recommend this place to anyone I know traveling to Jackson Hole. And if you live in JH and haven't gone yet then shame on you! Great service and great food!

The ribs and chicken were delicious! My Wyoming Old Fashion was yummy! The environment was fun throwing the peanut shells on the floor. Our server Campbell was welcoming and made us feel at home. Only critique ... no music playing in the background to liven the atmosphere... but I'll go back again for the ribs and chicken!

  • Daniel S.

The beer might have been great, I'm not sure. The bartender, let's call him "Bro", was too busy chatting with the ladies at the end of the bar to even look at us, let alone walk to the end of the bar to see if we actually, oh I don't know, say wanted a glass of beer, so after a few minutes we left. Maybe I'll try again... in the next life.

My ribs where dry and the macaroni and cheese side was mushy. I wouldn't get the ribs again but maybe try something else.

Amazing meal. We had Campbell as our waiter and he was great. Every meal he recommended was delicious. My party had the bar steak, blackened catfish, fried chicken, key lime pie, fried pickles, sticky bun, and New England clam chowder (obviously not in that order). Legitimately loved every single dish. This was the last night of our stay sadly. If we had known about this restaurant at the beginning of the week we would have gone there at least one other time. We came in the off season and the entrees were buy one get one free and that made the price very manageable. I cannot express how content we were. I know during season they will be packed, so make a reservation. You must come here

It seems that we keep trying the Q, hoping it will get better! No maybe 10th time the deal breaker. $8.50 for bad margarita 's......

  • Dan F.

This is no excuse but we did come in right before closing time. 2 of us got the bbq platter and were pretty disappointed. The brisket had a large amount of fat on it. I'm no bbq expert but that much fat should have been trimmed off before going in the smoker. To their credit they did comp one of the plates but I think it was because the server could tell we got low quality pieces of meat. After dropping the food he came back to check on us and said "is that kind of fatty?". The pulled pork was ok. The beer was probably the best part of the meal.

  • Cindy R.

The staff were very friendly and seemed liked they loved their job. The place was busy, but we felt like we were the only one's in the restaurant, The service was wonderful. I had the trout. It had so much flavor and I loved the warm spinach and tomatoes on top. I usually do not finish plates.....and I ate everything. My husband had the BBQ mixed platter. It was a little much for one person, but the flavor was fabulous. We are from California, but if I ever come to Jackson again, I will definitely come here to eat.

  • Michele N.

They have added an in-house brewery since we were last here. The beer selection is good and hubby, the beer guy, had the double IPA and the Roadhouse Pale Ale - both were excellent. We just enjoyed drinks and the free peanuts (in the shell, you crack them and throw them on the floor)! Relaxed, fun atmosphere - just beware if you have a peanut allergy.

    (4)
  • Kathie S.

While the service was terrific, I'm not a beer drinker but my husband is. Most microbreweries we've been to give you at least a little taste to see what you'd like to drink. That's what I asked for. BUT when the tab came, they charged $6 for a pint; hubby got a four-drink sampler and eventually 2 pints; when I decided which of the two "tastes" I liked, I order a pint and then even a second one. Damn, the "tastes" were very small and cost $3 each, $6 total and they didn't even come close to being as full as a pint! Get a clue brewery. Be more reasonable like most are. I know you're in Jackson, Yuppie Ville, but get a grip. We spent more on one trip to your place, $65.00 including tip (with two appetizers) than we did at an awesome brewery/restaurant overlooking the falls in Idaho Falls ($57.05 including tip) and their food was far superior than what we had at your place. Won't be back.

This restaurant used to be really good! But something happened and now it is just horrible. Yes it's fun to throw peanut shells on the floor but not when you are wearing sandals and they don't bother to ever pick them up. It's over-priced not-good BBQ. I live in Wilson and my Dad and I used to love to come here but now we refuse because of the numerous horrible meals we have had here hoping that it would return to how good it used to be. If you do still choose to go here get the ribs. They are the least-bad thing on the menu. My review has changed since going there last night. One extra star for the terrific service and then for the delicious wings. However, be weary because the buffalo are indeed spicy, but delicious. The problem being that when I ordered the kalette salad, there was nothing about it I liked which is interesting because I love kale. There was I think fried fake chicken and they killed the kale by cooking it too long. It was inedible as well as the side of Brussel sprouts, interestingly enough they tasted exactly like the wings but more acidic and not spicy. They were inedible. The ribs were fine. And the clam chowder was too... Just a little on the watery side. Overall very disappointing. And TERRIBLY OVERPRICED.

Burnt ribs, raw hamburger and high prices. Very disappointed with this place! Our group of 4 locals decided to give this place another chance since our last visit some time back was not impressive. Two in the group ordered the expensive BBQ sampler and I ordered a hamburger and another ordered the Risotto entree with a side of mac n cheese. The risotto, mac n cheese and pulled pork were all very good. My burger, which I ordered medium rare, was completely raw except the edges. The lighting in there made it very difficult to notice but I could taste the softness of raw meat after my first bite. Yuck! The ribs came totally charred. When it was kindly brought to the waiters attention he took the ribs away to show the chef. He returned with apologies and said the chef threw the whole batch out because they were unacceptable. He did offer other food and the two didn't really say no or yes but said we could always take some home. No food came after that. When the bill came, the one consideration given was a free beer. We appreciated that but found it to be a bit insufficient since the ribs really were inedible. Perhaps we should have tried harder for more discount on our bill. In summary, we will most likely NOT return. The restaurant felt more like a tourist trap being located on the village road catching unsuspecting travelers passing by.

Great little restaurant when you don't want to head back into town. The food was really good, along w/ fast friendly service! The atmosphere was really neat w/ live music. There is a large "yard" area outside (that separates the Q Roadhouse from Calico Italian Restaurant) for the kids to run around and play games as well.

An elephant's dream come true. No, I am not referring to myself as an elephant (although I certainly eat like one), I am referring to the millions of peanuts Q Roadhouse has on hand to serve up it's guests. Instead of being served large fluffy slices of bread or sesame seed topped rolls, the low-carb lover (and yes, the Elephants that reside in WY as well) can rejoice in the fact that they too can take part in snacking prior to the main meal. Q Roadhouse serves up some amazing Chinese Cuisine. Ha, just kidding, it's obviously know for its BBQ, which it should be. I was even informed by my brother that he had dreams about dancing in a vat of their BBQ sauce eating a seared piece of steak all while having a cowgirl crack an egg over his head. Well his dreams came to life, except for the cowgirl part, when he ordered the Korean Breakfast, a dish that includes fried rice, seared steak, a fried egg on top and a drizzle of hot sauce. Enough about him. My experience at Q Roadhouse actually wasn't too bad. I have frequented this joint multiple times in the past and really have had no complaints (and even wrote a review on my old account that was DELETED - thanks YELP - about how amazing their BROCCOLI was, yeah they don't have it anymore). My sister, however, frequents this place much more than I and told me that in the off-season their menu is a tad lackluster... Well, luckily we went during "on-season" and the menu wasn't too bad. I settled for the pan-seared chicken breast (which is very odd for me as when ever I go out to eat, I ALWAYS order fish), with lots of sauteed spinach... I must admit, it's exactly what my pregnancy cravings needed (wait, I am not pregnant)... The chicken was perfectly cooked and so flavorful, I am almost certainly they added MSG. Ha Ha, just kidding! My mother and sister ordered the seared WAHOO and ordered extra spinach too. Their dishes came out looking like little Greek amphitheaters atop majestic hills. How did they taste? Well apparently they were delicious... MY MOTHER (who is by far the pickiest eater on the FACE of the planet) even said, "wow, this is surprisingly good," right as the server was walking behind her... Perfect timing. If you're looking for something with a bit of a Southern mouth feel (lol)... Go with the Shrimp, Andouille and Grits. My father slurped up his bowl in no time... And he is certainly a FOOD CONNOISEUR, he knows what tastes absolutely on the money and what needs more je ne sais quoi than Tom Colicchio from Top Chef. My only PEANUT (ha, see what I did there)... Oh wait, that reminds me, the table had appetizers too, Fried Pickles and Hot Wings. No one poo-pooed those, that's for sure.... Any ways, back to my previous thought, my only PEANUT (yup, doing it again) was that we had to wait an atrociously LONG time for our food to come out. The nice thing is that the waitstaff and owner noticed this and wound up bringing our table (a party of 12 mind you) two of each dessert off the menu. Who wants to top off their meal with Banana Pudding, Key Lime Pie and some S'more looking dessert that had the table next to us drooling? If they didn't bring the desserts, I would have marked Q Roadhouse down for the wait, but they made up for it! A little something for everyone can be found at Q Roadhouse... Well, unless of course you're a Vegan/Vegetarian... If you are, you shouldn't even bother coming to WY, it's the land of the delicious meaty carcass (that's on the license plates)... Since this review is much too long, I am going to go feed my elephant some of the peanuts my brother snuck into my purse because he thought he was being funny. Thanks for the snack!

+nice atmosphere and mix of locals and tourists. Given that it is a bar, a clean and family friendly place +easy to get to by bus but you do have to time well given the bus comes every half hour +/- food was fine. Maybe a bit better than standard bar food

Our favorite meal in Jackson so far, and a great tap list to boot. Our party of five tried five different entrees and two appetizers. While everything was delicious, the favorites were the shrimp and grits entree and the chicken fried Brussels sprouts - fried, dressed with chicken fat and topped with crisped chicken skin. Decadent! Fantastic service. Comfortable, casual atmosphere. We ate in the restaurant side but the bar looked like a nice place to eat too, with a couple TVs showing sports and plenty of seating. We were impressed they had so many beers on tap, especially considering the brewery has only been running since earlier this year. My favorite was the Pale Ale which was more akin to a West Coast IPA both in ABV and in hoppiness. Plenty of Belgian style beers too, including a refreshing Wit and a light and crisp Saison. (Wine and cocktails also available.) This is not a regular BBQ joint, so if you are looking for a pulled pork sandwich head to Bubba's instead. But if you are looking for an elevated smokehouse BBQ meal and fresh beers, this is definitely the spot.

First time there. We were seated in an area to the left of the door. The music was way too loud. We moved. No one else sat there. The food is $$$ so we shared several SMALL plates. That with a couple of beers and my wallet was about $50 lighter. I won't be back if I'm ever in Jackson again. Too any other places to try in town.

  • Greg M.

Food is mediocre at best. The Beer on the other hand was great. Duck poppers were a huge disappointment and that Korean Breakfast I could pass over and never order again. Overall not a bad place and the service was pretty good, but the food needs work.

A must if you are in Teton Village! I must say, you never know what yah gonna get when you stop at a seemingly nice spot. We got nice! Not far, easy reservation, good food, nice staff and most of all... happy new wife. Better than most places in town. Thanks guys, Chris

Without a doubt one of the best hamburgers I have ever had. Hand cut bacon, heirloom tomatoes and a slight skin on the bun make for certainly one of my top 3 burgers EVER!

  • Travis L.

Slow service, overpriced food. However, they do have a delicious kale salad. The bison burger was good but nothing special. Kind of small for the price.

I like the Q because you can eat peanuts and it's a nice but casual atmosphere. I've had a few things on the menu and I wasn't very impressed. The only dish I can rely on being really tasty is the Chicken Fried Chicken. I was also bummed that my diet coke cost 3.75! The service is pretty good for the most part but I feel that it's not 100% worth your money.

    (2)
  • Adam C.

Really a 3.5ish, but I'll go ahead and bump it up. I had the Korean Breakfast- a basic run down- tender sweet glazed meat(can't remember which cut), fried egg over easy, on a bed of kimchi and rice. The meat was very good, nice and tender with a savory but not overbearing marinade. Kimchi was as good as it will get out in cowboy Wyoming country. For those kimchi enthusiasts, I don't think they fermented it long enough and is missing a seasoning...still kind of "raw." The rice I am pretty sure was orzo...eh. I still cleaned my plate The barbeque here seemed really good as well, had a bite. Good wings as well. Big plus for the peanuts you can just throw on the floor, I appreciate that sort of rustic feel in an upscale environment. Only complaint was the greeting, hostess was a ditz, but out waiter was awesome.

On a recent visit to Jackson, we went to eat here for dinner. I had the Green Curry Chicken. It was delicious! The chicken was tender and the curry was not at all overpowering as it can be in some curry dishes. It was served with a side of steamed rice, of which there could have been more, but the rice complimented the dish very well. Peanuts are on the table and you can just throw the shells on the floor, which is always fun. It has a really cool ambiance and decor along with some live music being played.

  • Alice H.

Go for the peanuts and beers. Great crafts but food is terrible. We had black and Ivory salad which turned out to be largely raw kale, and nothing remotely resembling the menu description. Also had fried chicken which was quite good, but mashed potatoes and gravy were cold.

Had the bison burger with fries, was good. Service was good. Local beer was good. Atmosphere was casual and friendly.

awesome restaurant, beautiful patio seating, great decor. Food is usually pretty good. I have had lousy service the last three times I went. when I had a problem with the food last time, the server would just slowly repeat what I said and kind of look at me. the hosting staff are awesome, and if you can you should just sit at the bar.

    (2)
  • Matthew C.

My ribs came out cold and my wife's mash was also cold. Food clearly not being cooked fresh here. The waiter kindly took my entree off the bill - got the impression this is not the first time this has happened. Beer was very good however. Will not be going back.

I am having a hard time reviewing this place. We loved the ambiance, the beers and the crowd. We sat at the bar. The apps were solid, I got the Buffalo Cauliflower and my boyfriend got the Pork Belly. Up until this part of the meal, we were giving this place a solid 4 stars. However, when our entree arrived, we quickly began deducting stars. So, we split the large BBQ plate. And this was a little disappointing. The ribs were tough, the meat was by no means falling off the bones and it was hard to eat and lacked a lot of flavor. The brussel sprouts were the best part of the platter, we ate all of those. And the pulled pork and beef brisket were okay. The toasted bread on there was kind of plain. I would have preferred some sort of sweet bread like a corn bread instead of plain grilled white bread. Anyways, I would definitely return for several rounds of drinks and apps to hold me over until dinner. And maybe I'm just critical being from NC and all, but it was not BBQ at it's finest in my opinion.

Beer is amazing. Bison burger and clan chowder is fantastic. If you're a beer snob like me, you'll love this brewery.

    (5)
  • Dick S.

Thought the food was mediocre and several items on the menu were not available that night - including the gyro which I planned to order. Got the bison burger instead and Ted's Montana does a much better job. And if you wanted seafood - Colorado Bass and Idaho Trout were the only choices. Service was also slow. I'd agree with other reviews that the beer was good but the food was lacking in value, variety and taste.

  • Lisa S.

Loved the ambience but we must have hit them on an off night... Service was mediocre.. Food ok.. The kicker was the waiter informing us that ribs were not available for the night because they sold them all to a large take out order.. How does a roadhouse run out of ribs?

Caveat emptor. We had a 6pm reservation, and at 7pm, on a monday....we were still waiting for our food. The service was nice but there was never any concern for the patron, no "sorry we've been keeping you waiting", and when we ordered our food to go, they brought an incomplete order with a complete bill. "oh, we forgot the appetizers, can you wait another 10 mins while we make them". My sense is an establishment where they are willing to treat the customer with low-regard has an owner that condones the behavior. The poor staff had probably been overbooked or overcommitted. No owner or manager was walking around to see if everyone was ok. Misery flourished. Sorry to write this review but it hopefully makes them better or saves you the reader from the same.

BEST Clam Chowder...EVER! I never would have thought that land locked Jackson, WY would have such wonderful seafood, but my clam chowder and fried softshell crab and shrimp poboy didn't lie...this was some of the best I have ever had! They also make a pretty mean bison burger!

In all honesty, I tried writing my review on Open Table, but you can only write a review on there if you made a reservation through Open Table. I was not able to do so, because their connection was down for multiple days. In any event, I have been going here since they opened and it has gone downhill. Way downhill. First, it's a BBQ place, without ribs on the menu. They have ribs--but you have to ask. Every table around me was eating ribs. What's the point? Second, service has been horribly slow on multiple occasions. The usual excuse, "the kitchen just got slammed." Third, no corn bread. The corn bread used to be outstanding. Now they have none. All BBQ roadhouses should have corn bread. Fourth, worst baked beans I've ever had. It was like room temperature beans smothered in what seemed like ketchup. Fifth, kraft Mac and cheese is better than this place. Sixth: you're a BBQ place, but no BBQ sauce on the tables??? Rather they have ketchup and a second bottle that says, "hot." But it's just hot ketchup. The only positive I can say: if you have kids, it's a fun place to bring them so they can play in the yard between calico and Q.

Don't come here for the food. I'm still sitting here and quite pissed off. - Mac and cheese was old mush - Brisket was tough and mostly fat - Smoked turkey in sandwich had a weird taste - Server never gave us a refill of our water until we asked for the check - The wait for the main was really long This was our last opportunity to eat a nice dinner in the Jackson area and we wasted it on this place, I'm very very disappointed. Rather than complain to management about all of this, I will just leave a bad yelp review. It is definitely well deserved.

Best meal in Jackson! Super swanky twist to Southern food. Loved the brisket, collard greens and corn pudding. Sophisticated flavors for home cooking. We discovered Q Roadhouse on our last night in Jackson. Wish we had found it sooner. BBQ was great!

Skip it. It is only another 8 to 10 minutes drive to Jackson where plenty of restaurants offers better options to choose from and for a reasonable price. My experience started off to a bitter tasting start with the "house" Bloody Mary. Turned out they use BBQ sauce as one of the ingredients in the BM. As you can imagine, it was awful. I sent it back for a beer. The beef brisket was not up to par with many beef briskets I have had elsewhere. A bit dry but not very flavorful. I am giving it one star though for its' atmosphere which was nicely done.

3.5 This was decent BBQ. I wouldn't urge people to stop what they are doing and go eat here but it was totally acceptable. I'm not from the area so I'm not sure how it compares to other local places. It was clean and the service was excellent!

We went to the sister restaurant several days earlier during our visit (with three kids), and were drawn back because of the great lawn between the two restaurants. We were not impressed with the other restaurant, so we gave Q a try. So glad that we did. The food was fresh (the wedge salad was INCREDIBLE), the beer was delicious, the ambiance was fun, and we had a great service. I am not a huge fan of the peanuts on the floor, but my daughter thought it was thrilling.

The Q has been going downhill for some time now but they reached a new low tonight. We waited 45 minutes for our food and once it arrived none was edible. Others were leaving saying that they couldn't believe they actually made it through the meal. I hope Gavin puts some energy into the restaurant because it used to be so much better.

Recently stayed at the Fireside Resort and it was nice being walking distance from the Q. I was a bit sad that they open at 5 and are not available for lunch. Ribs were fall off the bone tender and pretty darn tasty. I dig the spicy bbq sauce they provide on the table. I'm a big fan of the stewed okra & tomatoes as well as the truffle spinach. Stay away from the banana bread pudding--even if your server says its great...... its not. (Maybe if the dessert left a better impression I would have given an additional star.)

Stay away at all costs. Brought the wrong beer and entree for my wife, never refilled our water glasses and served us ribs that more closely resembled charcoal than actual food. After delivering our food, our server disappeared never to be seen again. We had no one to register our complaints about the food with or even to ask for the check. After waiting almost 30 minutes I had to go ask the Maitre'De to bring our bill. Looks coo from the outside, but not worth the trouble

Shrimp and Cheese Grits- AWESOME! Hush puppies- AWESOME! Beef Brisket- AWESOME! Had a great time, decent prices. Would go back again any day!

I would not return. Ordered a steak dish and the meat was tough. Vegetables were great, however. The whole peanut on the floor thing is passe. Barbeque was so, so with some chewy spots. Sauce needs improvement. Found the eclectic menu confusing. I thought this was a steakhouse.

The food here is very good. My husband had the ribs and loved them. I had the Korean Breakfast and loved it. Always fun to throw peanut shells on the floor. Decent live music as well.

A surprisingly modern, funky place in the middle of the woods outside Jackson. You can't go wrong with fried pickles, which were almost enough to ruin my appetite. My gf had some awesome baby back ribs but agreed with some of the other reviews about there not being enough sauce for how meaty and awesome the actual ribs were. I had the shrimp and white cheddar grits, which were fantastic but VERY rich. They pretty much had to roll me out of there by the end of my meal.

The baby back ribs blew me away... Mac n cheese was a perfect side as it complimented but didn't dominate. My boyfriend had the chicken fried chicken and was impressed but not blown away. Being from NY, my only points of comparison are Dinosaur BBQ and Blue Smoke and this blows those two out... of... the... water. Did I mention the gorgeous bartenders?

We had a server who looked like Matthew McConaughey and did a very bad job of keeping up with a table of 8. It wasn't busy when we went in for dinner. Messed up a few of our entrees and desserts and not very attentive. Food was over priced for what it was (mediocre). Will not be returning and not recommended if you want bbq.

We ordered take out from here. Liked the fried pickles. BBQ was fair. Ribs were not particularly flavorful and the pulled pork was fine. Very pricey for BBQ. $32 for a rack of ribs. We ordered several ears of corn and were shocked to find they were $5 per ear. Seriously $30 for 6 ears of corn? Bit much.

Really good food. Plenty of space. Easy to have a private conversation. So many good dishes it would take many visits to try them all. Portions are big. Great value. Brisket is amazing. Fried pickles too.

The Q is a solid standby locals go to for reasonably priced, fresh food on the Westbank. The food keeps getting better (after a rocky start when it opened a few years ago) and the new 2-4-1 drink happy hours from 5-6 and 8-9 are a huge bonus. I'd probably give them a 3.5 if I could, but with that said... Salads are fresh and fairly innovative, sandwiches a good value and there are some tasty entrees. My go to is to split a salad and pulled pork sandwich, while tossing peanut shells on the floor from the bar. If you're from the south, don't come here expecting to have your socks blown off. But, if you're in Wilson or Teton Village and want a casual place to knock back a few and have a reasonable meal with really good service, the Q's on of your best bets. It's the same restaurant group as the more up market Rendezvous Bistro, Osteria and Snake River Grill.

One of my buddies - former dc resident - moved to Jackson and works part-time here. I want to keep this simple - this place does happy hour (2 for 1) from 4-6, and from 5-6 they offer all-you-can-eat bbq wings. You have to line up for about a 10 minute line, but it's well worth it: I stacked two small bowls-worth of wings, plus ranch dressing, celery sticks, and a complimentary wetnap. Can't go wrong with that deal.

If you are in Jackson Hole I highly recommend you stop here. The restaurant design is excellent; it is a very enjoyable space to have dinner. We sat on the outdoor patio area, which was quite the experience. Apparently the local families come here and all the children play in the park while the parents relax and eat. Surreal. The food was delicious: pulled pork sliders with spicy mustard on sweet potato buns pork ribs smoked and then cooked in beer crab and prawn cocktail/ceviche app It is also one of those places where you get a bucket of peanuts instead of bread before the meal. The shells get thrown right on the ground. Overall an excellent place to have dinner.

It has good all around food but as far as bar b q goes well bubbas is as good if not better. But the rest of the menu is great. The chicken fried chicken yummm, the Tabasco shrimp great. Just don't have huge bar b q expectations and you will love it. The space is stellar as well. Good service.

Fabulous shrimp and cheese grits. Brisket was also very tasty. The server could have been more attentive though (my glass was empty for a good ten minutes before he noticed). But the food was excellent, there was little wait, and the prices were decent.

I love any place where you can throw your used peanut shells down on the ground with abandon. And that you can do here despite it looking so shiny and new. Give it a year before people start writing grafitti with a magic marker on the walls. Food is your general bbq plus some fancy schmancy additives such as the fried green wyomatoes and wild mushroom pot pie. I plan on coming back in 2 years with my sharpie.

Its edible but not great. The place definitely has an upmarket feel. Pretty cool place to have a beer on a nice summer day (I would stop there). Some of the meats we had were dry. Sauces were not that great. Service was so so. The sides were some kinda lame. Why would you come to J-hole to eat BBQ anyways?

Overpriced and poor quality. Red beans and rice was undercooked and watery. Brisket was dry and lacked flavor. $64 for pitcher of beer, fried pickles, and 2 entrees.

Wow, this place really is as good as it gets. Good service, cool ambience, awesome food. They bring you a basket of peanuts, rather than bread to snack on, and you chuck the peanut shells right on the floor. But this is no pedestrian, backwoods barbecue place. The menu options display the chef's delicious originality. We enjoyed a salad with watermelon and spicy chipotle dressing (we ordered it only because it sounded so weird) and it was delectable. We gorged on corn muffins (yum) with our ribs (yummier). (The full rack of ribs is HUGE by the way.) I'll be back to this place next time I'm in Jackson. This place is the real deal.

We went here on our last night in Jackson Hole, WY. I'm so glad our friends picked this place! When we first drove in to the area, I noticed it and immediately thought it looked a little too flashy for our "rustic" trip through WY. I wrote it off right away but our friends insisted. I would call the food "fancy BBQ" and I mean that in a good way. The service was great (I was beginning to lose hope for Jackson Hole hospitality after so many fair - bad experiences)! The host, our waitress, and the rest of the staff were so accommodating and friendly! We had a great experience and the kids had fun too!

I believe I said in the first post that I would return to Q and try the ribs. I held true to my promise as last week there was a large gathering of 15 people to fine at Q. I'll keep my thoughts to the point. The food is good, especially if you are in the mood for BBQ and "roadhouse" style cuisine. I started with a spinach salad that was very tasty. A little green goes a long way to make me feel better about consuming large quantities of meat. My sister and I shared a full order of the ribs, which ended up being plenty of food (a half portion would have sufficed). When thinking about the ribs I have to say my opinion is mixed. There was plenty of meat on the bones and it was cooked very well. The rub/seasoning on the ribs was also flavorful, but since there was so much meat it didn't last through an entire bite. That brings me to point #2. I love ribs because I love good BBQ sauce and good BBQ can make almost anything delicious. In this situation the BBQ is the weak link, which is very disappointing. They have plenty of sauce bottles on the table, just none that are half as good as Sweet Baby Ray's (or your favorite BBQ). If the sauce were the boss, then the ribs would be king because there is more meat than most people can handle. I've decided if I could bring my own BBQ sauce to the table, I would order one of everything on the menu. On a slightly different note, the creamed spinach side was absolutely fantastic. You have to be a garlic lover to enjoy the side, and make sure the person going home with you does too. Like I've said before, the food is high quality and I might be a BBQ snob. It's worth checking out because if you like their sauce, you'll enjoy your visit.

If you are visiting Jackson Hole you should try to stop here. It's the perfect place for BBQ in Jackson Hole. Great place for kids, kids can throw peanuts on the Floor!!! The ribs are the best! It's close to down town. So got off the coach and get some BBQ!!

Great ribs, casual atmosphere. Peanuts shells hit the floor which makes it a terrific place for families. There were eight folks sitting in the bar playing Irish music last night. Added to the entire experience which was terrific. Slightly expensive but worth a return visit.

Just came back from our trip to Jackson WY. This place was pretty damn good. Friendly atmosphere and good food. The first night we came here there was a live band playing which added to my enjoyment. I had the the pulled pork sandwich the 1st night, despite it being a little dry it was pretty good. My buddy got the same thing and he said his wasn't dry so maybe I was unlucky. The 2nd time around I got the chicken fried chicken, it was pretty awesome and huge! We also tried the Snake Head Brewery but weren't as impressed with their food. This is a definite place to visit.

I ordered the pulled pork sliders on sweet potato biscuits for appetizer. They were fantastic! Also enjoyed the shrimp and white cheese grits. They have a great menu and a lovely patio to sit in overlooking a large lawn area and trees. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Comfort food with a unique twist. It is expensive though for such casual food.

Well, let's just say that when I went there I had a touch of altitude sickness (never had that before!) and well was not feeling that Hot. Will leave it at that...so it could have been my mood, but all I felt I could really stomach wasn't available on the menu...so they charged me a la carte for each item! It was ridiculous...they had each of the items...I wasn't asking them to hang the moon-geesh! The food was still quite tasty. The BF had the u-peel'em shrimp and they came doused in this garlic - lemon sauce. That was weird and unappetizing and quite honestly the smell of it made me gag..LITERALLY! All in all, the food was decent and it was a cool little spot.

Q is a great spot to have a laid back meal of deliciousness. I had the fried chicken breast with mashers, and am kind of wishing I was eating that right now. But I can't cause I'm no longer in Wyoming. If you are visiting the area, make time for this spot.

We dined here twice during our 4-night trip to Jackson Hole. The huge lawn attached to the restaurant was perfect for our kids, ages 6 and 4. The food was great, and the waitstaff was very attentive. Definetly one of the highlights of our trip.
