Great local gem. I had the turkey pesto sandwich with beer battered fries. One of the best sandwiches ive ever had. The sandwich had pesto on bottom piece of bread, topped with provolone cheese, turkey, lettuce, tomato and a thin swipe of mayo on top piece of bread. Mosr flavorful turkey sandwich ever. Wish we had this restaurant it was a great meal. The ambiance was great and staff qas friendly and attentive.

The only place I can recommend that you eat and drink in Pinedale. The staff here cares about the food and drink they put in front of you, the service is friendly and informative. I recommend trying schooners of various beers and sharing the experience with friends that can appreciate craft beer. Ignore the comments from the, "''Murka, I mowed my lawn and found a car, hey this ain't Lucky Lager!" crowd. They make very good beer here, including one of the best Blondes I've ever tasted. And I've tasted my share. The WPA is an outstanding and approachable dry hop, with roasty notes instead of the citrus that permeates so many pale ales, and their ESB is spot on and reminiscent of stronger English bitters. Worth a trip to Pinedale, and I can't think of anything else that might make me say that!

A nice, quiet place to enjoy a good beer with dinner. Another stop on our vacation located in scenic Pinedale, WY. Very good beer selections here. Our waitress happened to be from Akron, OH about 10 minutes from where I grew up. Talk about a small world! Good appetizers, good service. Seems to be more geared towards the locals, but it was cool. I would still recommend this if you are travelling in the area.

We enjoyed the craft beer we ordered when we had arrived in town so much, we went back the next night for dinner. We ordered the Prime rib special, topped with blue cheese. It was very good, along with the beer. This is a restaurant enjoyed by locals and those of us passing through!

Had high hopes. I've had great beef in Wyoming so I ordered the $26 rib steak, rare. It was a beuriful cut of meat, a monster, unfortunately it was ruined because it came medium and tough. I sent it back. Replacement was half as thick, full of gristle. Disappoining. Good beer .

Not to many reviews on the food. I tried the fajitas but unfortunately Wind River is too far from Mexico. I would not choose them again. It's a bar so bar food is your best bet - chicken wings are good. Anything that is bar food is probably good. Chips were passing but not the salsa. So to answer your question....I will not eat here again

Stopped here for dinner since this was pretty much the only place in the small town of Pinedale that was around where our hotel was. This is a good place to go with kids . The menu offered nothing special nor local. My son had the kids chicken strips which came with only 2 pieces of chicken. I know it's the kids menu but seriously 2 small chicken pieces is not enough for kids - 2 points Soup of the day(lentil and sausage ) was awesome - 4 points I had buffalo chicken (mediocre and non memorable)- 3 points My husband had the flat iron steak - he asked for it to be medium rare but it came as well done. Also what was described as a ten oz steak appeared to be a mere 6 oz thin piece of meat - 1 point Good service -4 points The house Chardonnay was surprisingly good Overall nothing special. More like. 2.5

Stopped on our way to Jackson. They have a great patio but the service was really slow. The staff was friendly and the food was ok. I will give a thumbs up for the fried pickles. They were the best I've ever tasted. Fried spears with a bite. yum! Everything else was just average.

Awesome food! Saw it passing through town. I had the grilled chicken club and it was good. Would have been better on a roll instead of Texas toast but still good. Beer battered fries were good also. Didn't try the beers, too early for me, but they looked good. Hubby said his burger was the bomb!

Great food and a great assortment of beer. The atmosphere is awesome and the staff attentive and friendly. TV's everywhere.

I'll start with what was great about this place...the burger! One of the juiciest, tastiest burgers I've ever had. Problem was our dinner order took a long time to get filled. We waited almost an hour and it didn't seem that busy. The atmosphere inside was kind of lame-all open with high ceilings. The salad was served on the same plate as the burger which meant a lot of it was warm lettuce and got mixed up with my burger fixings. They're trying to be more than they are. If you can get over all that, build your own burger and enjoy.

I stopped by here a couple of Saturdays ago with my fiance and her parents for lunch. We found this place via yelp and were excited to see that it had an large outdoor patio to sit at which overlooked the main street. I would estimate that the outside could fit 60 people or so and it was nice as there were areas in the sun, areas permanently in the shade and also some tables with umbrellas. Beyond that the lighting was done with a ton of different colored LED light bulbs which I bet would have looked pretty fun at night. The first item that I looked for on the menu was for a beer sampler. I noticed that they offered two here, one that had a tasting of seven 5 oz beers and another that had twelve 5 oz beers. I ended up going for the 12 beer tasting which was only $12, how can you argue with that? All of the beers were pretty good as well with each different kind tasting like what I thought the type should. My favorite of the bunch ended up being the buckin' ordinary (great name too) which was an english bitters while my least favorite was the TKO, an english old ale that just had too much kick in it for my last beer of the sampler. In addition to the beers I also had the pulled pork sandwich with beer battered fries and a beer battered pickle. My sandwich was decent with both the BBQ sauce and pork being good but the bun could have been toasted better so that it didn't fall apart due to the BBQ sauce. The beer battered fried pickle ended up being the star of the dish for me as you could taste both the beer in the battering and the salty pickle. Lastly the beer battered fries were also pretty good as they were both hot and crispy although I only got a little flavor of beer maybe once. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Honestly I was impressed with both the selection of food and selection of beers here and really enjoyed my lunch out on the patio.

Awesome brewery, and great food. Great Service as well, took in our group of 14 and served us fast, efficiently and quickly. Definitely will go back next time I'm in WY.

I wanted to be excited about this place but walked away with an 'average fair' feeling. The beer was good (pale ale for me) and the fajitas were only average at best. Maybe my mistake for ordering something beyond burgers. Our overworked waitress (Monday Night football was on) had no time to engage in any conversation other than "I'll be right back...". Clearly this location rides on its beer laurels (which is good) and its cool name. Its the only game in town so tourists come regardless of the service provided, "so why bother" that's the attitude I get...too bad because I was ready to pull out the wallet to buy clothing gear but no thanks, I will save that opportunity for the next brewery in Jackson...

Pinedale is a remote, ascetic and inspiring place. This is a town where the air is thin and the deer and the antelope literally play. Views of the serrated Windriver peaks are breath-taking. While it's always been a base for backcountry trips and ranching, in recent years Pinedale has become a bit of a shale-driven boom-town. In this new Pinedale it may be harder to get a hotel room (and not to downplay the environmental impact below-ground) but from the traveler's perspective the local service-offering is greatly improved. Also, conservative local sensibilities have the positive effect that culture and establishments stay true to their Western roots as they expand and evolve. The Brewery punches well above its weight in terms of quality and selection. It has an extensive craft beer list and thoughtful Western menu; you really can't go wrong with any of the choices. We're also pleasantly surprised by the wholesome kids dishes and casual Western-minimalist ambience, like a comfortable new ski-chalet. The brewery seems to be a product forged by recent trends in the West. It has become my family's go-to dinner-spot in the Windrivers.

Love this brewery. Beer and food were both great. We came in late on a Sunday with a large group and they were happy to seat us. The burgers are excellent and the service was outstanding!

We were excited to come here since we were staying nearby and found out about this place from the innkeeper. It is a very neat building and there is really nice outdoor seating up on the patio. Although it seems kind of unorganized there (the host had no idea if there is seating available upstairs), the servers seemed very nice and helpful. There is only one vegetarian option, a black bean burger. It wasn't very good. There is a good selection of appetizers/sides that were pretty good. The prices were reasonable, and Cory said that the beer was pretty good, but we probably would not go back if we were in town again...

Considering you are in a town of 4000 people, nice to find a brewery high on the Wyoming flats at the base of the great Wind River Range. Nice place to unwind before or after a backpacking trip to the Wind Rivers. That said, the service is pretty harried, as this place is usually very, very busy. Beer is pretty good, certainly a good effort. Not great, but good Without being too regionally chauvinistic, for those who say that, "Colorado sets the standard for microbrewed beer", there is this little place on the West Coast called Oregon. Come on out and we'll tour some breweries that have been around for over 2 decades in a town with more breweries per capita than any city in the world. Just sayin'. First pint's on me. That said, love Colorado and really loved Wyoming on this trip. Everything but your *&^%$ speed traps.

I guess it's a running joke that when we exit the Colorado state line, microbrews seem to go downhill. I don't mean to sound snobbish, but CO knows full bodied, hoppy, delicious beers. So I shouldn't have been surprised when Wind River's beers were watery and lacked any flavor. We were on our way to Montana, and stopped around the Wind River range to sleep for the night. Starving, we quickly needed something to eat. Whenever we go somewhere new, we always want to try local food and beers- so we were excited Wind River was (pretty much the only thing) open. I'll deliver some good news first- the Prime Rib we both ordered was pretty good. Fresh horseradish and au jus hit the spot after driving for what seemed like forever. Now I'll break the bad news......After perusing the beer list, we decided to order the sampler so we could see what they had to offer..... I rarely leave beer in the taster, but these were so watery and had no body that I couldn't finish them. The mango tasted like overly flavored tropical juice concentrate- blech. I was so sad there were no IPA's- the bitter-er, the better! The hefe wasn't awful, but not as spicy as I would have liked. The stouts were okay at best. If we were ever back in the area and this was the only thing open, I suppose we would stop for a steak....and remember to bring a growler of good beer to enjoy afterwards in the hotel.

Best lunch spot in Pinedale. The Windriver Rueben is really good. The brew is for real. You won't be disappointed with the experience.

Tragic service last night. No water ever came, the beers were consistently flat, the server never checked on us (she brought me an absolutely horrid beer, and I wanted something else) after I finally got another server to get me a new beer, I was charged for the beer I hated even though I only had one drink of it. (I got it after I overheard her telling another customer it had 'hardly any mango flavor' and as it turns out, it was overpowering.) She was also slamming dishes and stuff around expressing anger in full sight and hearing of the customers. We paid up and went into the taproom (old part of the brewery) where we had great service from the bartender and guess what? The beer wasn't flat, which means when we were getting the in the dining room, they had been sitting a while before our server picked them up. We will always sit in the taproom in the future to avoid crappy service. Food is still serviceable though the baked potato seemed nuked and was not warm enough to melt butter.

Good everything! I'd have to say we had the best server on the planet. She was so aware of all her tables and very fast. I'd give her 10 stars. All is good at this place. Get ya some!

  • Andy K.

I've lived in Pinedale for almost a year and this is my favorite dinner and beer place in town. The staff are friendly and chatty, and usually good about serving you in a timely manner, except some weekend nights when the place is packed. I know all the bartenders, servers and some of the cooks by name and it's always a great time there. I love their beer, especially the stout, porter, bitter and amber, and T.K.O. (winter seasonal barley wine). The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that occasionally the food was disappointing, and the priceyness prevents me from eating there as often as I'd like. Pros: - great beer - (usually) great food - friendly staff - bartenders know how to make their drinks well Cons: - Price can be prohibitive - Occasionally the food isn't great

  • J M.

The wait staff dinged my rating just a bit. Server was fine (neither here nor there) but an 'off duty' employee sat down next to me at the bar and out of nowhere says to the bartender, "I wish my x husband would die" and no less than 5x says "he does something to me every month". Not real relaxing. Food was good and quick after ordering. Hmmmm, not sure what to make if this place. Lots of good things overcome by the folks that work there. I'd try it again hoping 'she's not there'.

Was on a trip through the inter Mountain West, stopping at microbreweries along the way. Stopped here and got a really good brew and a really good homemade veggie burger. Love this place will come back again!

Went here after the Green River Rzendevous pageant. We had beer sampler and shared a few appetizers with the kids. Food was so-so. Beer was very solid. I fell in love with the TKO - 12% of awesome goodness (I even bought a pint of it at a Cody brewery later in our trip). Lovely patio seating overlooking downtown. Service was friendly and efficient.

Great tasting craft beer in the middle of Wyoming- throw in some great service and decent food and its a winner. When passing through Pinedale- for whatever reason that might be- you gotta stop and visit.

Bring a thirst and an appetite. The beer selection is good. The Wyoming Pale Ale is darker. The burgers are made to order and large with fries or another side. Staff is friendly and there is plenty of seating with the new construction.

You have somehow found yourself in or passing through the cluster of a few buildings called Pinedale, and I assume you are reading this because you require sustenance. Don't bother looking at anything else. I've already wasted time doing that. This is where you will eat. I was here for dinner on two consecutive nights, I made the mistake of going to Stockman's for lunch so I didn't hesitate to corrected myself that night. Their medium rare flat iron steak is really good. I'm not saying small-town-give-them-a-break-good, I'm saying legit-compared-to-Texas-steakhouses-good. The rib-eye wasn't anything special, I wish I got the flat iron both nights. Their beers are worth checking out also, I tried the Adventure Amber Ale, Wyoming Pale Ale, Sheppard's Weiss, and Out Of Order Porter, and the Amber is my favorite, but they were all tasty in their own way. Oh and you should def check out their sweeeeeet bar counter top.

WRBC provides the perfect experience for those looking to enjoy nature... with some booze. There is literally one street/highway that cuts through Pinedale, and you can get your fly fishing gear, medicine from the pharmacy, and... a growler! Most people driving through here are probably adventurous and enjoy a craft brew, thus Wind River really knew what they were doing in this town of 1500. Heck, the elevation is 4 times as much as the population! The service is awesome, and the atmosphere is unbeatable. We sat on the patio on a breezy Sunday afternoon, and it was perfect weather to kick back 1, er, 12 5 oz. samples. They offer a tasting of all their beers for a mere $12! Great way to scout the goods at this awesome brewery. Some of my favorites were the Blonde, the Weiss, the Stout, and the Bitter. They were all unique beers, but I am no snob, so it would not do you any good for me to explain. Just trust me on this: the alcohol is great here! 60 oz. set me right for the road. When in the Pinedale area of Wyoming, do what the mountain people do. Drink. And drink well.

This is our visit to Wind River Brew and our last. Good beer and great atmosphere but the pricy food is consistently disappointing.

Just like another review I saw, I think Colorado sets the standard for microbrews. We travel a lot and visit microbrews on vacation. The waiter here didn't know what a "flight" if beer is. That tells you something....... The service is very slow. Friendly, but slow. It's been 45 minutes and we have not gotten our food yet. Nice place, but slow. Husband is a home brewer and beer judge and is puzzled as to why these beers won awards. If you have a hankering for Mexican food and don't want to try Los Cabos, as our b&b host said it is not good, do NOT try the beef fajitas as a substitute

  • Max F.

First of all, this place has AWESOME beer. I think I tried about six different types over the weekend and I would order each of them again. A lot of small breweries do one or two beers well, but basically everything from the porter up to the IPA were excellent. (Note - beers are not super hoppy, so for those of you who go for that style you might not be as happy). I didn't get to the stout so that one will have to wait until next time. On to the food. Ordered the Reuben first time here, had better, had worse. Salads are fresh and large, and the steak that comes on top is downright incredible. Most restaurants give you chopped up overcooked chewy stuff, but at Wind River you get what looked like three quarters of a new york sliced in strips and perfectly cooked. I will have dreams about that steak... The Highs: beer, steak, service Lows: the fact that I can't buy the beer anywhere else but the brewery Bottom Line: If you want a beer and steak in Pinedale, this place is not to be missed.

Me and my backpacking friends wandered in here after a multi-day trek through the Wind River Range and I can't think of a better place to have landed. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive to our requests and within minutes of walking in the door we were seated and sampling their collection of great beer. Unfortunately, before we could order a second round, a storm knocked out the power and we had to cut our trip short. The experience, however, was so good that we made sure to go back the following day for some amazing burgers and beer growlers before heading back to California. If you find yourself in Pinedale, don't leave without visiting this fantastic place.

Chicken Fired Ribeye was on the special and was so amazing! I would definitly recommend to try it. I tried some of WRBC homebrew beers and the raspebrry wheat was great!

I was in Pinedale for work and stored in here for dinner on Friday night. It got pretty busy as dinner went on with people of all ages. The potato and device were vert nice. I had 2 pints of Sheppard's (wheat beer) and it had some lemony flavors, but not over powering. The black bean burger was dry, but on delicious local bread. So, hit or miss on the food, thumbs up on the beer.

Large portions, great beer and superb service during Rendezvous Weekend. They now have their Wind River Blonde Ale available in 16 oz. four packs. We ate there three times. the Rib Eye steak sandwich is the best, although any of the Sunday Brunch entrees are a very close second. I prefer the lighter ales, while my wife the darker stouts. All in all a great experience.

Excellent Food, Horrible Service. My first question is how does this waitress/bartender still work there? Her name is like Diedra, Diandra, or something. She is a blonde with lots of tattoos, kind of trashy ... kind of real trashy, not to be confused with the other blonde waitress/bartender who has only a few. My company does work in the area every year, hard and heavy fieldwork. So, we are thirsty. Last year, a female coworker apparently asks for some water and this lady grabs an old, half drunk, glass of water from another table that had not been cleared yet. It wasn't a joke, just a b*tch move. Horrible, service! This year, this same lady made us wait half-an-hour to take our order, and the place wasn't even busy or short staffed. When she brought our drink order, we emptied the water pitcher before she even left ... she finally refilled it twenty minutes after a request for another. When she brought the food, she mixed up the order, and got confused. Someone ordered a chicken sandwich and she thought it was turkey. He corrected her, "it is suppossed to be a bacon-chicken sandwich" and she lifted the bun up and handled the sandwich without gloves or clean hands from bar tending and said "yeah, whatever, it's got bacon". it took another twenty minutes after our meal to get her attention for our check ... we should have just walked out, like she cared. After a few requests, she brought the checks. We waited another twenty minutes for them to be picked up ... she never came. We signaled her and everything. Finally, after watching her take other orders, joke with regulars at the bar, and etc. my supervisor walked the checks up to her. She huffed and took them without a word, without an apology, or anything. When she returned the bills ... my coworkers all paid with credit cards and I paid with cash: she short-changed me a $5. I wasn't about to wait another hour for her to count the register down only to claim I must have been mistaken. Needless to say, that was her only tip from the table, when my $13 dinner turned into $18. So, a two hour meal because of bad service!!! She needs to be fired, to upright this sinking ship. Other than the service, the food was great. We ate there twice in our trip, we were going to find a different place if she was working. The first night I had a buffalo-style chicken sandwich with blue cheese crumbles and some of their beer battered fries. It was a great sandwich, great hot sauce (like Frank's Red Hot or similar) and a perfect match with the blue cheese. The chicken was moist and flavorful with the spices. The fries were awesome! The second night I had a brew master burger. The meat was dry, despite ordering it medium and it coming out medium. (Maybe it wasn't rested long enough in back, or was too lean of meat for a good burger, or cut into to check for doneness? Whatever the reason, it was too dry.) It wasn't a moist burger, which took what would have been a great burger down a notch. It was however flavorful and huge and good. I would recommend it, especially if it was kept moist next time. If you see the bad waitress, run; otherwise, enjoy the food.

Awful food, awful service. I had fish and chips. The fish was overlooked and the fries were soggy. Waitress was incredibly slow. Very nice, but slow. Waited 45 minutes for bad food. The waitresses wear ugly blue jeans and chew gum. The decor is spartan and not very clean. bus station was visible from dining room and was grossly dirty. Very disappointing.
