Gets the job done when everything else is closed (that's how we ended up there.) As long as you don't mind the side chatter of truckers this place got us full on basic food for a basic price. The waitress was really nice even though she had been working a double and dealing with irritable and impatient truck drivers -- I can only imagine how often they have to deal with that. Tip them well because they deserve it for what they go through (even if the food doesn't).

Only if you're desperate. As in: 2:00 am, everything else is closed, you haven't eaten in days, and you've already looked under the car seats for stray M&Ms. Come to think of it, not even then. Unless parking a big rig is one of your needs, keep driving.

The buffet looked very boring. Salad looked okay, the hot portion looked totally boring. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, some canned vegetables and rolls. Truly not worth $12.99. We ordered burgers and they were really excellent. Fries were nothing special; frozen crinkle cut fries.

Second Iron Skillet we've tried. Both had very slow service. Have the buffet or wait!

Food was so good I had to join yelp just to make sure others passing through Laramie try this place. It's attached to a gas station so expectations were low. Not much to choose from on the buffet but it was quick. Best enchilada I've had in a long time. and fantastic pulled pork. Chicken and corn were awful but that's what's good about a buffet. And finished it off with pudding in a Dixie cup which was delicious. They also make their own candy to take with you. Buffet was $12. Service was very friendly.

We stopped here on our way home from vacation. It was later in the evening and we needed a bite to eat. My husband had the ribeye dinner. The steak was very tough and chewy. My son had spaghetti and didn't like it at all. My daughter and I had the salad bar. There is a wide range of items to choose from, although a lot of stuff looked like it had been sitting there for a while. The salad was good. They had drinks with variations, so I tried a Sierra Mist with mint in it. It was pretty good. So, food was edible, but this isn't a place I'd visit very often if I lived in the area. A plus, though, is that the kids' meals were free with our meals.

As a trucker on the road this place is nice but they do not have a huge selection on the buffet area, the food is good and kind of fast compare to other places but the variety of the buffet is little, the restaurant portion does offer more variety thou. Not bad of a place but I wish they had more food, space is always available so that's not a problem. 3 out of 5 due to not huge selection on the buffett

Food here was amazing. I didn't expect it to be any different than other Iron Skillets but it was totally yummy. Waitress named Sarah that looked like Monica Lewensky was really sweet and provided good service.

Stopped in here due to I 80 being closed from bad weather. It's was 2:30 am and thought well I'll get some breakfast. The restaurant was deserted. As u wd expect at 2:30 in the morning. So I sat down and ordered corned beef hash and eggs. Which is my GO TO breakfast. I mean u can't screw that up right? The meal was ok. Not the tastiest corned beef hash. I was the canned type after all. Which is what I prefer. I know. I know it's so ghetto. But hey I like it. The toast was to my surprise VERY buttery. Normally I'd be like hell yes. But this was over the top buttery. So I only was able to eat one slice. Over all it was jst ok. I mean it's a Petro truck stop. So yeah.

Got the buffet bc of the salad bar. I was super excited bc it looked really good. Half way through I found a hair that was not mine mixed with my lettuce. My husband told the waitress and she was cool and told Roberto ( i believe). Not sure how they do it in wyoming or Petro but usually you would simply waste out the cheap iceburg lettuce and put a fresh bowl out to ensure customers. Nope I stare shocked that the stocker guy, who by looking was the the hair culprit, just pour fresh lettuce over the tainted bowl. Our waitress looked over to see my shocked face and must have told him to use a fresh bowl. He aggressively pulled the fresh lettuce he just pour into a new bow, upset for what? Being sanitary? We did get my meal deducted and our waitress was really nice, but we had to ask for that . She was nice, but not nice enough to realize that charging someone who got grossed out and didn't even get halfway done with their meal isnt cool. Later on last night my husband woke up to puke out his dinner. He never gets food sickness, and barely ate anything so it was weird, but I warned him to stick with the salad(before the hair was found). He said some of the food "hot" items had obviously been sitting for hours, but he'd be ok. Nope he was not. Ya we're truckers but we also deserve far better then moody stock men and food that should have been wasted out. Bad management at this petro!!!!!!!

I was very excited at first. It appeared to be a down south comfort food buffet. Let me first say I not one to complain our not find something positive to say however I was sadly disappointed by the lack of flavor in anything I ate here. As the daughter of a trucker it made me sad my dad had to suffer through tasteless food like this. We ordered macaroni and cheese kids meals for our three kids and at almost six dollars each I was expecting something edible. Never have I seen three kids refuse to eat more than their first bite of macaroni and cheese. The only thing this meal accomplished was preventing starvation. The service was horrible. Our waiter was two feet away from us chatting up his co workers while we had to keep asking someone else to refill our drinks.

Very nice buffet, clean tables, and the staff was very friendly. Both my wife had the buffet and enjoyed it. The coffee was really good too.. you get a thermos at the table .

I've eaten at a few truck stops with varying success, but this one is terrible. The salad bar was the best part of the experience, but all of the metal plates were scalding hot out of the dishwasher, so the salad turned lukewarm. I ordered the chicken tender basket and it was hard to stomach. I've eaten at a few good restaurants in Laramie, I should have gone into town near the University.

Trust me, you're better off w a microwave breakfast sandwich. Now, as a truck driver, I've been to quite a few Iron Skillets & had decent to good experiences. But the breakfast I had here was godawful. First off, the truckstop, restaurant & grumpy waitresses could sure use an overhaul. Dingy & dirty, the whole place. I mistakenly ordered the breakfast buffet w/out giving it a good look (based on prior, pleasant experiences @ other Iron Skillets). The ham was waaaay overcooked & hacked into strange hunks w bone still in. The fake eggs were watery. Overcooked sausages. & the worst, worst bacon I have ever seen. It wasn't swimming in grease, it was submerjed in grease... drowned in it. Literally, the metal tray it was sitting in was full TO THE TOP with grease. Needless to say, the bacon looked very undercooked & noodle-y. I had salad & a biscuit, which were not bad (hence, 1 star). And finally, the world's slowest cashier took about 5-10 mins to ring me up. Bah!! If you are in Laramie looking for breakfast, DO NOT come here. There must be better in Laramie. You could probably come up w better in your truck!

Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. That's the ONLY reason they get two stars instead of 1. The food...well, hubby and I both ordered the chicken tenders basket. His was fine, mine RAW and the fries not cooked all the way. Obviously I told and showed our waitress and she seemed genuinely upset. She went back and told the cook and we could hear him throwing a fit implying that I was lying and then getting mad at the server when she told him that she had seen it. He had her bring it to him so I had to sit and watch hubby eat. When the order was up, I heard our server ask if the cook was sure they were done. He was nasty to her and said he even broke one open to check. She brought them to me and they were obviously way overdone and of course I did't get new fries or anything so I got jipped out of my meal but she was so worried that I didn't want to upset her because she was trying and I didn't want the cook yelling at her again. I almost broke my teeth on the tenders The manager gave us 20% off which was a joke since we have a "locals" card that already gives us a 20% discount. Since I couldn't eat the chicken and didn't have fries either, I had a slice of pie which was pretty good and our server didn't charge me for it since she was upset at the manager for not comping my meal. This isn't the first time the food was either under or over done but we have never had problems at night so I guess we won't be going back anytime soon since they can't be consistent with their food.

Sweet Jesus on a pogo stick, I can die happy. In fact, the steak and potato skillet may put me in my grave. Totally worth it, though.

My one and only visit to a truck stop. So a star for that. If you need to eat here, order the air.

I didn't actually eat at the restaurant, but I did eat their food at a rodeo once (for free). It was delicious! I had ham, some kind of bbq beef (like tri-tip or something, really REALLY juicy), pasta, yummy tasty sweet corn on the cob, a bread roll, and some brownies. Their restaurant is right by the Baymont Inn and the Petrol station, so it's pretty convenient and right off the freeway. I don't know if I would really eat there since there are a lot of other places in Laramie that I like more, but if you're travelling through Laramie, it's probably not a bad place to stop by for a bite to eat.
