Loved this place. Delicious food and coffee with fresh, local ingredients. Friendly and refreshingly good service. Community table available for solo travelers to meet others.

Great suprise; expected mediocre, got awesome. Accomodating host for our big party, super friendly waiter, very nice ambiance, and good food! The rare and suprising good dining experience!

Had a "limited menu" dinner party here. They closed the place for the dinner. Salmon or prime. I picked the prime. Med rare and very very good. Nice old building. And the staff is wonderful. I will be back!

Came here a few years back and it was "OK". New renovations and surprisingly modern menu was a surprise. I would definitely eat hete again.

We were traveling in a group and stopped for a breakfast here. Eggs Benedict, corned beef hash and quiche were very good. Excellent $5 bloody Mary. Lovely local place to stop by and the service was very friendly and considerate.

My friend and I stopped here for lunch on a road trip from NYC to Jackson Hole. The weather was beautiful and the garden was open. Lilacs were blooming in the garden and a little brook ran under the deck where we sat. Our server was extremely nice and our lunch was delicious. It was the one year anniversary of the restaurant and we were given two freshly made warm beignets covered with powdered sugar in celebration. It was a terrific experience to have such lovely food in such a charming spot in the corner of Wyoming. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys good food and wants to support non-chain dining.

Middle Fork is awesome. We spent a week in Lander and ate there three times. The food is wonderful! Wish we could move Jeff and Jenna to Southern Illinois. Friendly couple and Jeff is a wonderful chef. I live in a small town in Il., Macedonia, Il. not in Wa.

Loved the food. Had biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon and a Bloody Mary with bacon! So good! Perfect bacon! The server seemed a little overwhelmed by our large table with multiple tickets, but he was a little sweetheart about it. Maybe he was new to the service industry?

The food was quite good. I had the bacon and eggs, both of which were very good. The potatoes were excellent. My daughter had a cinnamon roll with orange glaze. Service could improve, two tables came in after U.S. And their orders were taken before we had water. Good breakfast option in a city with not many.

Awesome food. Great service. We had to wait for a while to get our food because the place was packed. We enjoyed sitting outside. Had quiche with pea soup and greens and it was fantastic. Will come back when we are in Lander next time.

Wonderful outdoor eating area with creek running through. Healthful and yummy alternative to usual small town faire.

You will want to experience breakfast here! I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict and the cool garden outdoor tables. Professional waitstaff are excellent. Listen to the water..relaxing

Good vegetarian options. Interesting quiche which was delicious. Very cool loose leaf tea press. Smiling faces on the wait staff. I come to Lander a few times per year and I'll definitely be eating here again.

The patio is quite lovely as was the service. However, the bloody mary's were watered down and only held together by spiciness; our food was quite tasty and they happily altered my choice to make it GF. Recommend all but the blood mary's.

Although our motel had a cold breakfast, our friends suggested the Middle Fork for breakfast. It is an excellent breakfast restaurant; the food was healthy with good service. We missed the outdoor patio, although the inside was inviting and cozy. Next time we are in Lander, we will be sure to come back in order to sit outside. It was a nice breakfast experience.

Unexpected great little place. More upscale options than anticipated, not the place to go if you're looking for a normal French toast breakfast. I had the huevos rancheros burrito minus the tortilla and my friend had the hash. Hash was a little bland and the huevos were delicious. Would definitely go again, medium portions of food so definitely order a side if you're extra hungry. Orange juice was delicious and tasted super fresh. Cute and clean, great options for food sensitivities, vegan/veg.

We stopped here for brunch on our way home from Yellowstone National Park. My wife looked them up on a new app called Find Me Gluten Free, since she has Celiac we have to be careful where we pick to eat out at restaurants. We were not disappointed. This restaurant only serves breakfast and brunch so you need to get there before they close at 2 p.m. We waited a few moments to be seated, and were greeted politely by the female server. She sat us down at a table near the back. They were a little busy, so in just under 10 minutes we were approached again to order our drinks, I had an endless cup of coffee for $1.75 which is a real bargain in today's world. The waitress adeptly explained to my wife which gluten free options were available to her on the menu, and it was apparent that the waitress knew the menu quite well. She ordered chorizo scramble over home fried potatoes with a spicy, red pepper sauce. I ordered the corned beef hash, which was prepared with rosemary oil,a single perfect Sunny side up egg on top, grilled garden tomatoes, and a side of crunchy buttered wheat toast. My 6 year old son had gemelli noodles with butter and cheese, and a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. The kid's menu included a children's coloring sheet which included the food pyramid and a generous supply of crayons in a coffee cup. I was raised in New Jersey and have a long history of eating corned beef hash at diners all around the state. This was, quite possibly, the best corned beef hash I've ever eaten in my entire life. It was a fantastic brunch experience, and left us fully revived and ready to tackle the road driving back to Kansas City. Check them out you won't be disappointed.

Fabulous food and friendly service. Things you might try - basic eggs, bloody mary, biscuits and gravy. A must try place for Lander. Not particularly cheap unfortunately, or is it just that it's just not as cheap as you would hope, I dunno... Sit outside in good weather, it's great.

Wonderful brunch spot! The food was fresh and gave you that good home cooked feel. Wyomingites break away from the norm and try it. Very asthetically pleasing and the service was great!

Really pleasant lunch with a "health nut" salad. Only withholding one star, because there wasn't a ton of meat on our salads and the restaurant doesn't have chicken as an available addition for salads. Service was good.

Been wanting to go to breakfast at The Middle Fork since we got here and haven't had a chance, well finally got to this morning and it was excellent! A nice small menu with some great breakfast choices, I ended up getting chicken fried steak with home fries and sauteed spinach an to be honest the CFS was excellent! They coat them with corn flakes and it gives the CFS a really nice crunch! The gravy was super meaty and the whole meal was perfect! My wife got the eggs benedict and again it was another great plate, along with some fresh pico de gallo that was very tasty! Service was nice and friendly and we never had to ask for coffee refills! We will be coming back often, next time I will try the quiche, a sourdough croissant and maybe some beignets!!

Best breakfast in Lander. Had almost everything on the menu over the years. Will have to come back and try their new evening hours soon.

The lunch quiche - light, fluffy, perfectly cheesy, the crust flaky and buttery. Delicious. Tortilla soup - hot. Creamy. Just the right amount of spice. Complex flavor. Enjoy it by itself. French press coffee - rich. Powerful. Fresh. The food was wonderful, the service attentive and friendly. I arrived just before lunch service began so I waited about 35 min for my food, but it was well worth the wait.

Another favorite in a town I only make it to twice a summer. After rolling out of the mountains and famished for some non-camping food, the Middle Fork is always a welcome breakfast treat. We had the corn beef hash and huevos rojo and both were delicious. I particularly liked the rosemary oil in the hash, it gave it a unique flavor that most hash is lacking. I also am a big fan of the lemon thyme berry jam. The outdoor patio is nice although the inside is warm and welcoming and has a lovely fresh morning ambiance.

Stopped in because of reviews, and thought just ok. Had strawberry muffin, potatoes, and coffee and was good. Tasted mom's and brothers bacon and again was good. Was good but just not that great.

Famished for good food after a few days camping on the road, the smiling, attentive staff, nice atmosphere, and delicious coffee was a warm welcome to Lander. Was having a hard time choosing between the chorizo and egg scramble and the brioche French toast with bananas and maple syrup, when the server offered to do half orders and voila! I could have the best of both sweet and savory worlds. Left for the mountains with a grin on my face from such a great meal.

Not bad! Undersized portions compared to most but the cute staff and endless coffee more than makes up for it. Best breakfast in this little western town.

I love Middle Fork! Amazing food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. It is one of my regular hot spots in Lander.

I love the Three Grain Brulee (oats). It is delicious. My husband ordered the Eggs Benedict and said it was superb (I'm not an egg person). The hash browns - YUM! The service is great, the juice is fresh squeezed (juiced maybe?) and tastes fantastic. This is one of the places you must try if you're going to stay in Lander.

Got the grilled cheese with bacon and tomato. It was slightly undercooked on one side and slightly over cooked on the other. Made it really crunch, but they used good cheese so it was tasty. Also got the fries with truffle aioli and that was the best part of the meal. This is a great addition to the Lander restaurant scene and a good more upscale option for breakfast/lunch if you don't want to try one of the local greasy spoons.

We stumbled upon Lander during a road trip from Taos to Yellowstone. What a find! Great town with nice people, and a true gem of a restaurant at The Middle Fork. Everything we tasted was wonderful, including the oatmeal. But nothing was finer than the Cinnamon Roll. Do not leave without trying one!

  • Ilana W.

I have been here numerous times for breakfast and have never been disappointed. Their house coffee is great, but they have a wonderful French press plus espresso drinks and brunch cocktails. Every meal has a special twist (fries with truffle aioli, anyone?). The beignets and cinnamon roll sides are spectacular and the corned beef has will keep you full until dinner... Which you can enjoy at the owners other restaurant, Sego on 4th and Main (no Yelp page yet). I could go on and on, but just go there and see for yourself.

It's always tough to review a place when you don't necessarily have the right experience to compare it to other experiences. The biggest issue here is that in all my life, I had never had Eggs Benedict until visiting The Middle Fork. Yes, it's scary, but true. The food was good, but I wasn't overwhelmed. I think I'll have to settle on giving a four-star review and hope that I'm not wrong!

I stopped here for breakfast with my Dad on our way through Wyoming and was thoroughly impressed. He had the eggs benedict and I had the middle fork omelet, and both were a good amount of food without being overfilling, made with obviously fresh and high quality ingredients. It's not hard to find the middle fork, since Lander isn't that big, and on a weekend morning most of parking and pedestrian traffic seems to be headed here. But it is easy to miss as their only sign is on the door, set back under an awning. In addition to the folks obviously traveling through like ourselves there were also a number of obvious regular locals. The inside is very roomy, and very bright. I especially liked the old pine floor that had been cleaned up and sealed, but not stained. A particularly creative touch, I thought, was the little glass candle cup that contained sand and a small live succulent plant on each table. Everything about the place, from the menu to the decor to the service is simple, elegant, and very well done. If you're in the area for breakfast, this is the place to go.

Deliciously fresh food and ingredients, and wonderful presentation and service. We landed in Lander (sorry) and were SO LUCKY to drop in here. The cauliflower soup is delicious, the greens were SO fresh and a delightful grapefruit vinaigrette (yep--looked up a recipe on-the-spot so I can make it at home), yummy grilled cheese. THE place for brunch if youre lucky enough to be in Landed at the right time!

The style here is haute cuisine. For me, this style tries to be food but just doesn't quite make it. I was not satisfied by what was served to me. This place is too expensive and pretentious without delivering value. I can not recommend.
