Awesome food and a nice environment. Met some really awesome folks here and got to sit and chat for a while while drinking beer that we brought (byob rocks). Was a nice place to eat stopping on through Jackson.

No wait, didn't wait long for the food to come out, but the food was bland and not very tasty.

Great place! Authentic Mexican food. (We Californians know!) Ordered a tostada and a bowl of pozole. You won't find pozole (pork and hominy stew) at Mexican restaurants that cater to gringos. Both were very tasty. No liquor served here but a sign says you can bring your own beer. Next time we will!

Keep walking. The food was bland and overpriced for what it was. $10 for a cheese quesadilla and $5 for chips and a tiny cup of salsa? Pica's blows this place out of the water - on quality, atmosphere and value.

Don't go here !! it is overpriced bad food with waitresses that don't even look like they want to be there. the fast food joint next door was SHOCKINGLY better

I got the tacos and they were incredible. I recommend asking for some guacamole - no charge!! Fantastic food. Wish I lived closer!!

Very good Mexican food! Also the best prices you'll find around Jackson for sure. Usually go there to get take out since it's pretty small. Summer time is great to stay and eat on the deck though. Overall you should go here!

Great Mexican food find in Jackson! Growing up in Southern California I long for authentic flavors and this place delivers. It's a small hole in the wall with a few seats inside and some outdoor seating. The food is made to order so you can call ahead to pick up. The nachos with carne asada had a great balance of flavor filled with smoky meat, medium spice chiles, beans, cheese, guacamole, and salsa. The shrimp tacos were filled with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and salsa. The salmon tacos comes with baked salmon, carrots, and zucchini.

Friendly service, but bland food (and bland Mexican food just doesn't work). I was pretty disappointed with this place. I pulled into Jackson with my family, hungry from a morning of sightseeing. Based on the Yelp reviews, I figured this would be a pretty good way to go. The service was super friendly and helpful, so everything seemed like it was going to go well. But then we got our food. I had the veggie burrito. For those carnivores out there, you may be thinking, "Well there's your mistake!" But this was one of several items I tried. The veggie burrito was pretty bland and lacking in vegetables. I got a leaf or two of spinach right at the end of the burrito, but it was largely rice and refried beans. The positive thing was that the salsa roja was pretty darn tasty, and it was even somewhat spicy (kind of a surprising thing this far north), and I used a lot of it. I also tried the chicken burrito. The chicken should have been marinated longer (or at all) for some flavor. The burritos were pretty small considering the price--but then again, this IS Jackson, so I wasn't all that surprised by the prices. The one thing I tried that was decent was the salmon enchiladas. The salmon had a strong enough flavor that the otherwise lacking spices weren't missed so much. Oh, and the corn tortillas were decent, too. So this is definitely a case of unmet expectations. I appreciated the service, but I wouldn't eat the food again.

I am a big Mexican food fanatic. I look for hole in the wall places and this is one. I ordered a Rosemary pork Torta. It is truly awesome! I've had few Tortas that I can really say melted in my mouth but this one is. Packed with flavor. Pork, beans, onions, avocado, tomato jalapeños etc. it is so good. I'll be in Jackson for three days and when I come back I'll have a hard time not getting another because I want to try something else but I most likely will. Pretty scrumptious vittles!!!

Fresh ingredients, carefully prepared and willing to make modifications to stuff on the menu. Ask for green enchilada sauce on the chorizo burrito and kiss your hangover goodbye.

The best burritos in Jackson. I am a carnitas lover, but try the shrimp and bacon with extra pico. Ask for all of the side salsas

Great little find in Jackson. Fresh, yummy and reasonably priced. Homemade salsas were great. Seating is very limited and there is no beer on the menu but you can bring your own in.

Wanted something quick to eat around Jackson, WY. Came across this small hole in the wall restaurant in the main city. Food was delicious and affordable. Quick service which we needed so that we can catch a movie after. You can either eat inside which seats about 5-8 people or outside.

By far the best Mexican food I've ever had! I got the bean and cheese burrito and had to stop myself from getting another one since I was so full. Highly recommend!

So I yelped a close restaurant and this placed popped up 4 1/2 stars. So I had to stop!! Definitely lived up to its potential. I ordered the California burrito which I haven't had since The last time I was in San Diego. Amazing! Very friendly place but not much room to sit and eat.. I would recommend stoping in and ordering it to go. You can thank me later!

Fantastic authentic Mexican food! Wonderfully seasoned meats. Some of the best i have had north of the border! Small location, big benefit to check it out!

This is s great little joint if you just want to grab a few tacos and go. There are a few stools to sit and eat, which are adequate. If you are looking for a nice sit down dinner with a beer or a glass of wine, they dont sell any here but you can bring your own in! The food was really good and came out quick. Would recommend for lunch or to go! Very good food and the service was excellent.

We were so lucky! We found this place by accident walking towards the Arts Center. The food is delicious because they have authentic flavors! We had dinner and breakfast before we left. Please check them out when you visit or if you live here and never knew about it.

Best Mexican food in the hole. Nothing fancy just real good south of the border grubb.

Great carnitas. Avoid the shrimp tacos. Small taco shop with limited seating and no liquor license. But the food is tasty and the prices are reasonable. Probably the best option for actual Mexican food in Jackson Hole.

Yummy authentic Mexican food, good seafood burritos and fajitas. Limited seating but in summer there is expanded outdoor seating.

We were excited to try this place out as "usually" Yelp reviews are pretty reliable. Not this time. Would not go again. Didn't finish my meal. In the trash. Would not recommend. Beans watery. Rice hard. Cheese not melty inside. Flour tortillas to make enchilada's!?!? On the plus side I did like the sauce.

Great taqueria. I eat at Taqueria Sanchez at least once a week. The food is authentic and delicious. Take out is easy and usually ready in 10-15 minutes. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable to moderate. I highly recommend the arabe tacos and torta. The salsa verde is bomb. .

    Good breakfast burritos!

Great Mexican food. Had 3 tacos (pastor, carne asada & carnita) $9 very filling; chicken torta $10 was HUGE. Small hole-in-the-wall with limited bench seating for people watching. Most customers spoke Spanish so we assume this is authentic Mexican food. Horchata was better than other watery versions. Considering going back for breakfast burrito :)

Breakfast burritos were good enough that we bought burritos for lunch on the road, too. Better than expected and a nice change from the 'steak-served-10-ways' fare everywhere else.

Pleasantly surprised - great food. Been back several times during this visit to Jackson.

Not big and fancy, just good Mex food and good people running it. I like the Fish Burritos, always made with Salmon. Tacos are great also. Prices are very reasonable. Always see Hispanics eating there, so must be very good

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
