Came here for family vacation and came to this place. I had forgotten I had seen these guys on Triple D! Ordered the S pretzel..awesome..awesome marinara...great job on these. Philly cheese steak..awesome...chicken pot pie...awesome...fried green tomatoes...meh..sorry..everything else was great. The atmosphere is awesome...beer selection of local brews...awesome...great service.. I wish I lived here so I could come back 3 - 4 times a week!

Well, the world's best chicken pot pie according to the receptionist at Wyoming Inn was not true. Too creamy for my taste. The fried green tomatoes had too much breading and barely tasted the tomato. The calamari was way too salty. The trout was good because it right amount of seasoning and well cooked. Our server was very good and very attentive. The atmosphere is a sports bar. Not too loud and lots of flat screen TVs.

Just ordered takeout. Went to get it and eventually one of the 7 people working there... Counting tips... Decided to come ask me what I want. Umm I want the takeout I ordered. Eventually I get someone to collect the food I ordered. 50$ for 3 items... Not cheap So what do I find when I get back to the hotel? They gave me zero of the two drinks I ordered and zero utensils to eat the food. Great call SideChumps... Why would a customer want what they ordered or the utensils to eat it?? Basically this place appears to be a shitty bar and nothing more. Go anywhere else, lord knows there are a lot of choices in Jackson Did I mention that the food was a joke? Hey owner, good luck. With that staff and the crap food I'm guessing your in debt and not getting out of that trap anytime soon. Maybe turn it into a parking lot?

We had a fantastic lunch here today. We specially stopped here because of Triple D food net work show with Guy. Had two appetizers, the Mac and cheese bites and the famous Guy pretzel. Both outstanding. The service was very friendly and quick. Also had pastrami sandwich. The chef came over and was very informative and nice. Should have tried the French onion soup. Maybe next time we are in Jackson Wy. Well worth trying this great Tavern. Wish we lived closer.

Sidewinders in named after the aerospace missile. We got comfort food - kids chicken fingers, avocado Swiss burger, ranch burger, and paleo burger. We started with onion rings, and we are really glad we came.

We called 5 minutes ahead for a party of 14 and were happily welcomed which was a great start to our experience, but after that it was just mediocre. The margaritas tasted like they came from a premade mix, and didn't even really taste like a margarita. There were many confused and forgotten orders throughout the night. Overall, it wasn't a very bad experience but just not very good either.

Try the buffalo chicken mac n cheese. It's pretty solid. Ambience is average for a sports bar, service is on par with any other decent restaurant. I would recommend this place for a quick lunch as the food comes out relatively fast. Large selection of menu items.

After a fairly pricey meal in town the night before, we wanted to eat near our hotel (Wyoming Inn) after a big day in Grand Teton NP. When we looked in the window, we were undecided as all we could see were lots of TVs showing sport, lots of guys at the bar and a few booths but as we walked in, we could see a separate dining area. There's a huge selection of pub style meals including the usual starters of wings, mozzarella sticks etc + burgers & sandwiches + a large range of salads & some larger meals such as steaks. My 'Summer Salad' was delicious, packed with candied pecans, blue cheese crumbles, fresh raspberries, salad leaves and a tangy dressing. Topped with grilled chcken, it was $14 and enormous. My husband enjoyed a 225g (8oz) steak with 2 sides for $22. It was cooked as requested and came with crispy onions and bread. Sidewinders isn't anything fancy but the service was good and the meal for two with 1 glass of wine was less than $40.

I've been here multiple times, and there's a reason why. The first time here, I didn't care for the sauce on the pulled pork sandwich I had ordered. They made it right by taking it off of the bill. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and I have since been ordering the chicken strips, which are excellent with their ranch.

Nice place. Good selection of beers. Ordered pizza by the slice, Phantom, all meat slice.

  • Joi M.

Excellent food at reasonable prices. Outside deck is very nice as is casual bar and tavern inside. Game room for the kids was a bonus and allowed us to relax with a drink after our meal. Burgers were fantastic as was the blue cheese dressing on my side salad. Crispy fries and very attentive service. We will be back tomorrow for lunch on our way out of town to try more fare.

Wow! Came in for a quick lunch and left eating a great meal and Alex the server planned out our entire Jackson Hole vacation! You can tell they genuinely care about good food and taking care of their guests!

We went here for lunch, when we entered we were immediately greeted by a hostess. It wasn't busy at all, we got a booth near the window. The server can right to the table with water. She was very nice. We looked this place up because of Diners,Drive-ins and Dives. We ordered the stuffed pretzel with cheese, pepperoni, pineapple, and jalapenos. So it doesn't taste like a pretzel, it taste like pizza dough. A little misleading but it was still really good. Also, ordered the chicken pot pie. The crust was very buttery and flaky, the sauce was very creamy and flavorful. The only negative I would have is, for it to be a "chicken" pot pie it didn't have alot of chicken in it. Mainly potatoes, carrots and mushrooms. Which I plucked out because I don't like them. My friend had the bar bq ranch salad with Carne asada steak. She said it was good but the meat is what made the salad. Otherwise, it's just a regular salad. Whatever the steak was marinated in made the meat very flavorful.

Would give no stars. Worst customer service ever! Was sitting at the bar & asked if we could move over to a table in the bar area near the window. No problem! 5 minutes later a hostess came by to tell us we couldn't sit here. Our bar stools were already taken. We had nowhere to sit. We left!

I came to Sidewinders last week and had a fairly pleasant experience. I was part of a group, and this restaurant was very good about seating us immediately and getting our orders out quickly. The table ordered several appetizers to start, all of which were very reasonably priced. The nachos, in particular, were huge, loaded, and only cost $5. I ordered a plate of wings and a bowl of french onion soup for myself. Neither dish was anything to write home about, but the soup especially came highly recommended -- the waiter went so far as to point out that it had been featured on the television show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, but it was just, like, soup. Sort of a let down. I wouldn't go out of my way to patronize Sidewinder's Tavern again, but it was a great place to go with a group.

We were in Jackson for the night and wanted to eat out somewhere nice. The parking was a little confusing because you have to go through another parking lot but don't let that stop you from going. There is a bar and restaurant inside and a deck looking over the street and the mountains. Food was awesome and we didn't even wait that long. Food was on the expensive side but well worth it. I got a burger which was excellent and the salad was good too. Definitely go here if your in Jackson!!

Tried the fish and chips ... Lots of breading, average - nothing to get excited about. Service was exceptional, ask for Brandy!

  • Kristy W.

Hot, soft pretzels are almost the perfect food. Sidewinders takes the pretzel and (somehow) makes it better. How, you ask? They put CHEESE and PEPPERONI and JALAPENOS in it. It's okay, I'll wait for you to pick your jaw up off the floor. To wipe the drool from your face and clean up the pool that has puddled on your laptop. Ready for the rest of the review? Okay. Allegedly service is an issue here, but we sat at the bar and had great service. As the resident Yelp "I keep being disappointed by allegedly incredible macaroni and cheese critic," this was not the best, but not the worst. The pasta was cooked well (usually a big problem), and the cheese flavor was spot on (disclaimer: I had buffalo chicken fingers in mine). The downfall: the sauce doesn't really stick to the pasta. Instead of just eating a bite of macaroni and cheese, you kinda piece together a bit by taking some pasta and then dragging it through the cheese. Not bad, but not...good. If they tweaked that just a bit it would have been pretty awesome. Like the nice selection of local beers, that's definitely something I appreciate about a bar. If for no other reason, the pretzel from heaven (that should really be its name) is worth stopping in for.

Parking was pretty dicey ; it looked like the parking area was condemned as half of it was barricaded off. Good food, but my adult son & I had ordered the same thing & we both felt not-quite-well all that night & into the next morning. No one else in our party had this issue, so we're wondering if what we ate had been sitting out a bit too long as we had come in for dinner about an hour before closing time. The food & service where very good, however, but with a background in public health I can't overlook the coincidence of which of us felt unwell afterward.

Terrible place. Expensive and not good. I had a MUCH better meal having at hot dog at a take away in the Yellow Stone NP.

  • Chris K.

Decent bar food & drinks. Great attentive service. Fun atmosphere. A tad pricey. I had the appetizer combo and hubby had the Mac 'n Cheese. He expected it baked...it was more pasta tossed in cheese sauce. Margaritas were yummy with fresh fruit...small though.

Great food we have tried the burgers, chicken fried steak, bear batter French fries (yum) soups, grilled cheese sandwich with tomatoes bacon and avocados. Tonight I am having turkey chili (yum) and the prices are reasonable. Friendly staff and great atmosphere.

My wife and I visited Sidewinders on our first night in Jackson. We arrived a little late to our hotel, the Wyoming Inn, and Sidewinders was right across the street. We were immediately greeted by the manager who promptly sat us. Although we waited for a few minutes before our server greeted us initially, the service was great after that. Prompt, quick attention, and everything came as ordered. We had their wings which were good, and the Carne Asada which was amazing! The portions were large, and the drinks were well poured. After dinner, we moved to the bar and had a great conversation with the bartender. Definitely had a few too many. But the conversation was well worth it. Plus, gave us some great local advice on things to do. Overall, great atmosphere, polite and courteous staff, and good food.

  • Lindsay N.

The chicken pot pie is amazing! and the happy hour is great lasting until 6:30pm with 2 for 1 wells and $5 appetizers that are great portions. We got the wings, buffalo shrimp, calamari, onion rings, french onion soup, chicken pot pie and a hot cookie with ice cream! ...yeah we were hungry lol. All were great after a long day on the slopes!

  • Mike D.

This place is awesome if you like 15-20 kids running around in a bar. Not the restaurant, but like sitting at the bar. So that was my experience. Maybe it is a one-off but if you enjoy kids as much as I do, you'll hate this place.

    (2)
  • Belen D.

The waiting time was really long when I went and the meat was lousy. Should have been suspicious of a steakhouse that also sells pizza and pasta. The pasta was great though and the sweet potato fries where probably the best I have ever had. Although the food was lousy the service was great! And because of our complaint over the food they removed the drinks from our bill.

  • Katie M.

Food was typical for a sports bar. Always satisfying and the beer choices are good with quite a few local brews. Was not happy with our server at all. He was not friendly and was inattentive. He barely spoke twenty words to us while we were dining and he tried to clear my plate before I was finished and threw rubbish on the plate without even asking if I was done. I had to tell him I wasn't finished and he didn't even apologize for throwing scraps from the table on my plate. I have over fifteen years of experience in the food service industry and I complete understand having a bad day but he just had horrible customer service. We were seated in the bar which I know is a different dynamic than dinning in the main restaurant area but good customer service should always be a priority. I always enjoy hanging out at sidewinders but it is really hard for me to get over the lack of hospitality from our server today. I will for sure be back at one point but this experience put a sour taste in my mouth about returning in the near future.

We were a little excited to go to Sidewinders because we had recently seen them on DDD on the Food Network. Knowing we would be going to Jackson we planned to have an early dinner there with a large group. We arrived around 4:30, before the dinner crowd. The place was not full. When we asked to be seated together they looked at us with sour faces and said they could not seat us together. We were a group of 7 adults and three kids, not terribly big for a place of this size. After a brief wait another group of employees showed up and seemed more willing to help us. We were seated next to the wall on the far side of the room with two tables that they would not put together. We ordered the pretzels, onion rings and calamari for appetizers. All were good, the pretzels were great. I ordered he chicken pot pie, it was unremarkable. They tossed a sheet of puff pastry onto thickened chicken soup that lacked many vegetables and called it a pot pie. The soupy part was over seasoned and salty and the crust was soggy and not recognizable. The pulled pork, once you added BBQ sauce was delicious. Nothing else was worth commenting on. The service did get better and seemed to want to make up for a rocky start. If I lived there I would give them another try as everyone has an off day. As someone just passing through I wouldn't risk it.

Great food, good service and nice atmosphere. I didn't have high expectations going into a sports bar. It was my first evening in Jackson Hole and after 9pm the options are limited. We found a cozy place on the couch in front of the fireplace. The food was delicious! I had a bq brisket with a side salad. The side salad was amazing! I did not expect a gourmet salad as a side salad. I highly recommend this place.

Meh... Salad was ok, servers are nice, but tonight slow. Atmosphere, great! TVs inside at the bar would be great for watching a game. The outside patio is nice with a heater and nice view. As a side note, the road runs right next to the patio, but it isn't very loud.

I'm traveling here from California and stumbled upon this place. Hands down, one of the best Chicken Pot Pies I've ever had !!! My Dad had a burger and said it was great. The service was fantastic and she was very helpful. The atmosphere was of a typical sports bar. It's casual and nice. Great selection of local beers. I recommend it !!!!

We walked in and immediately greeted with a happy hello from the hostess! Big time plus for me! My son and I, after many years of not having a one on one time, sat on the couch in front of the fire. bartender came over and took our order giving us plenty of time to decide. We ordered the chicken tenders to share. We had such a good time as if we were in our own little world. Shift change took place and a waitress came over, sweet as could be, told us they would transfer our tab since bartender was leaving. Impressed with the service, freshness of the food and just great ambiance! Great local place and we as visitors were very pleased!

I was eating at the bar it took over 10 min to get someone to come take my order it seemed that the staff was to busy with each other, I kept being walked by and ignored by the other bartender. finely my order was taken, the food was good but was never followed up with.

After multiple days of snowboarding, I was battered and bruised and really just wanted to go somewhere casual where I could sit in a comfortable booth and have a nice dinner with my husband and friends. I am so happy that our friend's roommate suggested we try Sidewinders. We walked in and the place looked packed, which made me worry, I wanted to sit in a booth NOT on a hard bar stool. And then we saw the couches. Two large, overstuffed but still comfortable loveseats next to the fireplace... Perfect for our group of 4. There are a lot of options on the menu, I eventually decided to go with the chicken pot pie, swapping the salad that comes with it for some sweet potato fries. My husband had the meatball sandwich, and our two friend both had the buffalo burger. We all ordered drinks from the bar as well. I was happy with the service. Drinks came out fairly quickly, and my water glass was never empty. Our server added more wood to the fire shortly after we sat down so it was roaring by the time food arrived. And the food was great! My chicken pot pie was huge, stuffed with large chunks of chicken, lots of celery and carrots and topped with a nice crispy crust. The sweet potato fries were well cooked and plentiful. If I lived in Jackson, Sidewinders would be one of my go-to spot for dinner and drinks with friends.

Nice big beer selection. A menu with just about everything on it. Very accommodating service. Reasonable prices. Not a bad find for a starving family of tourists fresh off the road.

They were really great! The 3-4 times I've been here the service has been great and the food was really good. They are definitely vegetarian friendly; always a plus in my book! I didn't like how cold they kept it inside though.

Usually our favorite place but baaaaaad food quality issues happening out of the kitchen. Cold protein on top of salads? Bad fruit in our drinks? Slowwww service. Manager tried to help but really insignificant solution.

Visited during Lunch on a Friday. Service was terrible, Had to find the waiter to order, to get refills, to get the check. Lots of TVs and looked like a good beer selection. Food was not that great either and was over priced. Ordered the grilled chicken breast lunch special and it was cold. I would not return on my next visit.

Best Sports bar in Jackson Wy. The only other one I know of is the Town Hall Tavern accross from the Cowboy bar. They have a million TV's, so it is easy to get your game on at least one. Get there early as everyone goes here to watch there college and NFL teams. If its packed drive down to Tavern. Plenty of beers on tap. Mostly basic ones, but they do have some from Snake River and a couple other Micro-brews. Got the Cajun Chicken Pasta. Was good, little to much sauce, but they always do that with those. Coworker just got a Caesar salad so nothing really to report.

A few days ago, I want to my 1st bar in jackson hole and the night was pretty decent. The place is right in middle of town and to my surprise the place was pack of people and we barely we move around. There were alot of young people mixing and mingling. The only bad part was they were playing country music and guess everyone here love it LOL The bar drinks were pretty decent because it only cost $4 for a importer beer such as Stella. At the end of the night everyone was hopping in our car and even stranger were going in our car. It was hectic and my neighbor kick one of the stranger out because he didn't know where he live at, I felt bad but it was either him or me LOL Good times

Just sat down and the server brings my salad. As he is setting it down in front of me the dressing is pouring out of the little cup on the plate all over the table in front of me. The server apologizes and then leaves but returns and without a word drops a stack of napkins on the table and walks off. I can't believe he did not clean up his mess and just left it for me to deal with. For the most part this place is ok. But the service this time was inadquate.

  • Kristin S.

Decent food at a good price. We went with a group of 10 and they seated us without any problem which was nice. The menu is pretty extensive, and they've got quite a few local brews on tap. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich which was spicy and tasty with a side of sweet potato fries (WORTH IT!). I also tried the BBQ Beef which the waitress recommended for my boyfriend and that was AMAZING! Good food, good beer and large enough to seat a big group. Service was fine and handled our split checks easily. Atmosphere is basic sports bar with lots of televisions scattered all over the place. Good choice for a quick, casual dinner with tasty food and decent prices.

A nice, typical bar located on the second floor of the shopping center. They have really good pizzas and a nice selection of beers, half of them being from local breweries. The customer service was excellent and the pizzas did not take long. I had the pesto and hawaiian pizzas which were both delicious, cannot complain. I would definitely go back here again when visiting Jackson Hole.

Went on July 31st about 4pm. ordered dinner, we could see the kitchen from our table. our appetizer and someone elses food sat up on the pickup counter for 15 minutes while our server sat at a table about 15 feet from us wrapping silverware with napkins and chatting with other staff, finally another server walked by us and I asked about our appetizer she checked and had the kitchen make us another appetizer but she took the other food to the other customers on the other side of the restaurant that was oblivious that it was ready for 15 minutes while waiting to be brought out. Mind you the restaurant wasn't even busy, only a couple of tables had customers on the other side and we were the only table in our section. I told the server that took those customers their food it was sitting ready for 15 minutes but she took it to them anyways. When the second server brought our appetizer she gave us dirty plates to use, they actually had chunks of food left on them. mmm. The 1st server brought our dinner, we had to ask for silverware. I never got the salad I ordered. My grandson ordered his philly cheesesteak without horseradish or onions, both were on there anyways, so he had to wait even longer while they made another one. I had to go to the bar to get drink refills. There was no apology from the 1st server. The receipt said her name was Sarah. There was no manager visible. They comped the salad I never got but not the appetizer we waited for or the sandwich that was screwed up and then had to wait for. Just an all around bad experience.

Great buffalo burger and housemade ranch!!! Yummmmm. A little spendy, though.

You would think the bar with the most TVs in town would be the best place to watch the superbowl... Unless that place has the worst customer service ever! It's the superbowl for crying out loud and they didn't even have the pregame show on any of the TVs. When we asked they scowled at us and 30 mins later the show was on with no sound. We had to ask repeatedly and finally the sound came on. The bar was empty and a group of 4 came in needing a table for 7. They sat them at a table only for 4 and seated a couple right next to them. The waitresses were completely uninterested and borderline rude. Hopefully there is another sports bar around here because we're not coming back.

Neither awful nor awesome. The great beer gets them a 3 rather then s 2. Decent pub grub, slightly above average service. Late lunch with a family, two kids. No kids menu.

    (3)
  • Don H.

Huge beer selection - something like 20 taps. Great sports bar - flatscreen TVs all over the place, but not horribly obtrusively. If you want to watch your game, they'll get it, and put it on the tv nearest you in no time. Burgers are also great - big, juicy, cooked to order, and everything you've ever wanted in grilled ground meat. Yum.

  • Gina B.

I took the tip from Yelp and got the spinach salad which was divine! Kids had the typical burger and they were happy. Others at the table had the buffalo burger (which tasted like a normal burger). Waitress was awesome and the game room, while small, entertained the kids for a bit. The pizzas looked awesome on other people's tables but we didn't venture for that. Good place to grab a bite to eat.

  • Stretch A.

One of the better places we ate at while in Jackson Hole. Large selection of specialty brews and our waiter was knowledgeable regarding them. Ordered the homemade salsa and chips as an appetizer and they were very good and plentiful. I had the Cobb salad and French onion soup. The soup was okay and the salad was fresh and appealing but it could have had more meat in it. The hot bacon dressing was very good. My wife had the Philly steak sandwich and it was delicious. The bread was freshly baked and the sandwich was filling. The atmosphere was appealing with large airplanes hanging from the ceiling and a roaring fire in the bar area. Very comfortable and inviting. Would return again.

This place is great! I am from Boston and my family and I go here every summer we come to Jackson. The kids love it because they have a game room in the back. Every single sports channel you can imagine can be shown. The service is great and the managers are awesome. The food is of such high quality. there pizza is amazing but big slices! the burgers are like nothing I have had. This place is a fun restaurant to go to when in Jackson you must go!

  • Scott R.

A decent place for a beer and a burger, or some nachos, or similar. I tried the fish tacos - they were decent enough. Looking at the menu, they had so many different things going on I didn't figure they didn't do any of it well ... but all our food ended up serviceable.

    (3)
  • Peter H.

Sidewinders had all the TVs we needed to watch the worst NBA Finals ever, but my friends and I should have stuck with our guess that burgers would be the best food choice. 2 of 3 salads had to be sent back due to errors and the 3rd was topped with the driest salmon on record. My friend with the pulled pork BBQ sandwich was happy, and the beers were good. But the waitress went from quietly troubled to aloof once we needed our orders fixed.

  • Than V.

Nothing spectacular, but they had a good beer selection, the prices were reasonable and the food was decent. It seemed like a great place to watch sports games.

    (3)
  • Danielle A.

If we lived in Jackson Hole, we would be regulars even when there aren't games on. We ordered chicken fingers, potato skins and onion rings. Dip them in their wonderful ranch and it is heavenly!! The beer selection is great and there are TV's everywhere you turn, so you can't miss a game. Definitely get there early on game days to claim your spot. They are not pushing you out the door and worried turning tables during games.

I give ONE STAR to the bartenders in the bar. They are rude jerks. All I did was ask the blonde with stringy hair (Tanille?) which TV they were playing the Steelers game on and she said, "I don't know until we turn the game on." Right...and then we had to ask twice for them to turn on the sound. One of the male bartenders snapped, "Do you need to hear the national anthem?" What a jackass. I couldn't believe it. It wasn't until I told the guy I worked in the liquor business that he changed his tune and was suddenly nice to me. Right as we were about to leave he said, "Hopefully you'll come back for another game." I snared, "Yeah, but only if you turn on the sound so I can hear the national anthem." Jerks.

If you're looking for okay food, a sports bar atmosphere, and a few drinks- this is the place. Service is friendly and fast, seating is ample, and you can pretty much watch any sporting event going on at the moment. If you're looking for a quiet place to enjoy fine dining, this is not the place.
