Pretty standard Chinese fare, a little greasy but still good. Polite and fast service for take-out orders.

This place should really be on Kitchen Nightmares. Located smack dab in the middle of Jackson Hole, Gordon Ramsey really needs to check this place out. I walked out before even dining here as I found out from the locals... 1) 16% tip automatically added to your bill. 2) They charge Asians at least $4-5 more than other ethnicities. REALLY?? I found this out firsthand because they had two different sets of menus. Racist much?? How ironic...considering the owner is Asian himself...trying to rip off his own. Sad. They have a "Top 100 Chinese Restaurants in USA" sign...lol. Anyways, #2 was enough to turn me away from even trying this place out. I'll try some other local eateries in the Jackson Square area.

Actually I've never get in but the reviews attracts me a lot :) maybe it was so bad but who knows

The worst restaurant ever! The only reason I went there, I just want some Chinese food!? We had no choice so we stepped in this horrible place. The services was ........makes me want to throw up? Then they charge u 6dollar for tea and water?! And u must pay 18 percent of tips? Wait what? Did they serve anything ? We paid 10dollar for just 5 small bowl of rice? Just don't even step in this place! Please...........

In life we all wonder sometimes... I am wondering how come this place is still in business at this moment. Like most customers, we were on our way to Grand Teton NP when stopping by this place. After we got there, no one made any effort to greet us. I had to approach them with my dish selection. Yep, like most reviews said, the price was high. Once the dishes were ready, they did not put any silverware or napkins in the carry out bag until I asked the boss. Isn't common sense that those are exactly tourists need. What's even more odd, after the boss put a few pieces of napkins in the bag, he took some napkins out, probably for the sake of cost cutting. Next time when you see the Ocean City sign in JH , do yourself a favor, RUN.

Really bad restaurant. If it was in China, there's no chance for it to survive. Everything is bad, the food, the service. People should not come again. I think main customers of this restaurant is from tourist group, and most of them are from China, so I am writing some Chinese review for them: 这家店超级烂,在美国本来对中餐的期待已经很低,这绝对是最差的一次体验......请大家绝对不要再来了。

The food is really very very very bad, I really should believe the previous reviews and I wouldn't give it any stars if possible.

Food was okay - was totally empty and the service was.... odd. Found the host/server/delivery guy to be a bit cold. Kinda ruined the experience for me.

So sad to write a bad review because the food is great. We went into the restaurant and it seemed like they were angry about a large party. It took more than a half hour to get help, and that was after a member of our party who is a frequent visitor to China started barking orders. Some of the requests never showed up, an appetizer came after all of the meals. This place isn't going to make it.

I ordered sesame chicken and beef broccoli and two egg rolls for take out. It was positively the worse meal I have ever had....no kidding. The egg rolls were small and had NO flavor....well, all you could taste was grease. The beef in the main dish was not even cooked medium rare and it tasted like it was canned. I spit the first bite out. No sauce on the sesame chicken and one bite I had to spit out. I wouldn't go back there in a million years. The fact that there were only two cars in the parking lot on a Saturday night should have been a sign to me that this place sucks.

  • Timothy H.

Do NOT come to this restaurant. I'll repeat: Do NOT. The owner argues with you the whole way and cheats you of your money whenever possible. The other waiter looks like he'd rather have been aborted than serve us. Food was in small portions. Horrible taste. I don't get why this restaurant still exists.

  • Isabel R.

Not too exciting and the food I ordered was all too sweet. Although the staff is very friendly.

  • Karen Z.

Worst restaurant ever! Definitely stay away from this one. I wish I had the option to give it a 0 star since one star is way too generous. The food was unappetizing, portion was small, price was high. We didn't expect much before we went, but this place was worse than I could have ever imagined.

  • Joel S.

A nice Chinese restaurant located at the westernmost edge of the tourist district. in Jackson. I found the won-tons in the Won Ton Soup a little odd, but the Double Mushroom Chicken and the Shrimp Lo Mein were decent. A sign identified this as one of the top 100 Chinese restaurants in the USA. I wonder what the others were?

    (3)
  • Foodie R.

terrible service. the waiter was ridiculous rude.

  • Stephen P.

I liked this place. A large menu with unusual items, like several ways of serving sole. They also serve brown rice on request, rare for a Chinese restaurant. Everything I ordered was tasty and satisfying, if not stellar.

I ate at this restaurant last year and gave a 5 star rating. I ate here 2 times this the first time the egg fu young was over cooked and soaked with grease. Thought it was just a bad day. Ordered again tonight, it was snowing and cold and they delivered. This time it was the worst Chinese food I've ever had. $60.00 had to toss in trash and go out to McDonald's to get some food. I hope this will give Owner a chance to improve. I do not like leaving bad feedback, This time I will. I would hate for someone to eat here based on my 2011 review.

We love it for lunch. You get a large plate of food with soup and rice for a great price. And they don't use MSG.

  • Wei L.

They say that they are one of the hundred best Chinese restaurants in the US-is this a joke??!! We saw the advertisement in the local map and decided to give it a try. If you are looking for authentic Chinese food, or even just good Chinese food, DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! We had a party of 10 and ordered quite a few dishes. All of the dishes looked about the same. The chow mein noodles looked like spaghetti. The fish is fried and dry; tastes terrible, and there is hardly any fish at all. The Mongolian beef is too chewy. The only thing there that was okay was the mooshu pork. The portions were too small for the price. This restaurant is definitely NOT recommended.

This is a hard-to-miss restaurant on a major stretch of road as you're traveling towards downtown Jackson on 22/West Broadway. The first defining feature is the great, big sign for Chinese food...in an area known for ranchers, farmers, and the occasional Hollywood A-lister in need of fresh 7000 feet air. Second, is the drive-in option. This second feature is what convinced me to take on the risk. I decided to go with the standard American favorites of Mu Shu Pork, Orange chicken, and House Lo Mein. Taking into consideration, the hour to drive before I could taste the food, I'm deciding that I will order the Mu Shu Pork again. Yes, there will be a next time. Next time, I will eat in the restaurant. Next time, I will do a double wink because a single wink doesn't get you special treatment from the waitress/cashier as a fellow Asian person in the middle of mountain west America. (I didn't even have to wink in Ogden, UT) Four stars for being THE Chinese food place for miles and miles, and for the drive-thru.

  • Christine S.

I also do not know how this place got voted as Top 100. All their family and friends must have voted multiple times. We ordered 2 of the Specialty dishes.1 contained scallops which tasted "fishy". We ordered brown rice and got white, which the waiter exchanged. They charge $2 more for brown rice. The 1 dish had a very strange sauce I have never encountered at any Asian restaurant, sort of a tomato base, it was not good. That was the 1 with the scallops and inedible to me. I complained about the scallops and they took 10% off our bill. There are better alternatives in Jackson.

    (1)
  • R T.

Food is so-so, the servings are small for the price that you pay. The entrees are not presented well. So are the main dishes. The only nice thing there is the place, its clean and comfy.

    (1)
  • L L.

Generally inferior food. Egg drop soup is mediocre, Lo mein salty, just over all not very fresh or healthy

    (2)
  • T C.

Not a bad place, but a little amatuerish. Definitely not one of the top 100 Chinese restaurants in the US. (that designator back in 2008 was not likely won in a competition but rather by participating in some marketing campaign). We had chicken fried rice, house lo-mein, wonton soup, and mushu pork. The rice was not greasy, but the chicken breast pieces were not stir fried but instead grilled and the rice grains are in two different shades of brown (since they did not stir fry the rice enough after the soy sauce was added). Wontons were totally without fillings and the soup is just soy sauce and oyster sauce with water. If you are desperate for rice and soy sauce and want to stay in a very low budget, this is an ok place. Otherwise, there's nothing to write home about.

    (2)
  • Dorian R.

Well....the egg drop soup was good, but the almond chick and sesame chick was terrible. Can't recommend in good conscience.

  • Marc C.

I wasn't sure what to expect from a Chinese Restaurant in Wyoming, but since it's Jackson Hole, I didn't think it could be that bad... The restaurant advertises being a Top 100 Chinese Restaurant in The United States --- ranked by Martin Yan from Yan Can Cook in 2008. The food was very fresh and good. The sign that said No MSG and Drive In made me laugh, but the mu shu pork, pineapple fried rice, mopo tofu with pork, and sizzling beef were great! I'd definitely go again if/when I am back in Jackson Hole.

    (4)
  • Judy M.

Food was okay, nothing spectacular, but I have definitely had worse. A bit overpriced, but not unexpected in JH. Service was very fast and friendly. I would probably try a different restaurant to satisfy my chinese food cravings in the future.

  • Yi Y.

If there were a negative star, I would give it to this restaurant! This is definitely a restaurant of nightmare. I brought in a large tourist group, told the restaurant our budget which is fairly decent, they probably can make money of this much once in a decade. the restaurant owner gave me the bill which met our budget, 10 minutes later he gave another one alleging that he forgot to charge the rice, I told him it was embarrassing for me to back and forth with our company, he then start to yell like a mad man in front of our customers! It was completely nasty scene, he shouted and threaten to kick all customers out if we do not pay his $2 per bowl rice. it was such a nightmare doing business with this restaurant ! Avoid at any cost with this business if you do not want to screw up your customer, your friend and family... Our customer left more than half the food untouched and walked a mile to Albertsson to get some instant noodle replacing the food from this restaurant this shall tell you how bad it was.

    (1)
  • Sarah Z.

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! I understand it's mainly for tourist and you shouldn't expect much, but this restaurant really drives me crazy. They know you're not coming back so they want to rob you as much as they can, and they didn't want to hide it.

    (1)
  • Jeff T.

Food here tastes just like it was ordered at the local Chinese carryout. It came fast and was mediocre. They automatically add 18% tip to the bill. The part that i disliked the most was that they charge $2 extra if you want steamed rice with your food. The waiter never told us about this extra charge. I have never eaten at a Chinese restaurant that charged extra for the rice that should come with your plate. The plates are not very large and i would have still been hungry had i not "ordered" the rice. The waiter had no personality and seemed rude. He was on his phone as we left the restaurant. I think he was looking for my yelp review, lol. I do not recommend this place. The waitress that came around to fill the water glasses was friendly though.

    (2)
  • Julie X.

This is the worst Chinese restaurant ever. I wouldn't give it any star if I could. We really should have listened to the previous reviews, and never step in to this terrible place. They forced a 18% service fee charge. The waiter even refused to talk about it. I mean, Are you kidding me! How would pay for 18% for service like this (maybe he's afraid that no one would pay him tips if it's not mandatory) This particular restaurant charges $2 for a bowl of bad-tasting steamed rice, but most other Chinese restaurants provide rice for free. The waiter did not tell us that steamed rice is $2 per bowl. He said, "YOU WNAT TO EAT CHEAP, WHY DON'T YOU GO TO McDonald?" when asked why steamed rice is so expensive. I had never seen any waiters being so rude. Please don't go to this Chinese Restaurant. It would just ruin your nice day.

    (1)
  • Flora F.

Worst restaurant ever!! 18% mandarary service charge+ $2/small bowl rice+worse than food court food+ bad service; tourists should definitely pass through this restaurant. Wish you saw this review before you were thinking to go!

    (1)
  • Rebekah C.

Bad quality expensive Chinese food. You order food but it tastes worse than the food at a cheap Chinese buffet. It cost about $20-$30 per dish. Also the "authentic" Chinese menu cost twice as much as the regular menu which makes no sense becuase its the same amount of food. Most of these "authentic" dishes cost $40 which is way too much for bland mediocre small portions. There is a 16% mandatory service charge probably because they know that no one would tip for service. When questioning this rule the owner got offended and asked for my ID when paying for the bill. The owner has an extremely bad attitude and doesn't know how to treat customers. They take advantage of the tourists in this area since the restuarant doesn't have to keep customers as people come and go. This restaurant wouldn't last a week in other cities, but it's the only Chinese food in town unfortunately. Please don't go here, go somewhere where you get what you pay for. There are plenty of better places to eat in Jackson hole.

if it is possible i would like to give no star at all. This is the most terrible Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. Whether you are Chinese or not, DON'T GO!!! The the dishes are dirty, food is awful, service is rude, price is expensive. I am very sad that this may ruin the reputation of Chinese food. Friends from other countries, I guarantee this is absolutely not Chinese food, please don't go and let us do some help to make it closed.

  • Kim F.

Horrible rude rude rude DO NOT EAT THERE!!!!! Went in and ordered takeout, when we ordered we asked waitress if we could get steamed rice instead of fried rice....she said yes so we ordered a lunch with STEAMED RICE. When we got our meals we checked them they had fried rice so we said we ordered steam rice a very rude man came out of kitchen and said no we can't do steamed rice!!!!! We said than we don't want dinner! He hatefully said than I will give U a scoop of steamed rice......he brought it back to U and practicly threw it across counter and walked away!!!

  • L. A.

Don't ask for anything extra. They are super cheap...owhen I asked for a piece of lettuce the owner came out Withh a furious look on his face and said...if you want a piece of lettuce then $2 dollar. Are you serious? For a piece of lettuce that you wild normally garnish the plate with anyway? If I could give them no stars I would.

as a tour guide.it is my first time to take my group to this rubbish restaurant.the boss is really inplite and not welcome us to come...i told him if he is so rude again how we introduce more people to come..his reply made me shock.he said you'd better not come.we are not welcome you...oh my god...this is the worse restraurant and service and boss i have seen in the US!!!why the restaurant is still open?i will tell all my colleges and friends .please never come to this rubbish place!

WORST EVER. Why is this place still open??? $2 for a bowl of rice. They will recommend the most expensive dishes to you. DON'T GO.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. TOTALLY RIPOFF. This is the type of restaurant that ruins the reputation of Chinese food. We barely ordered anything with all of us still in hunger afterwards and it costs us over 100 bucks. Screw this shithole. You are going to this place in your own risk.

  • Tiange X.

It really ruin my trip to Jakson. As for a Chinese Food Restaurant,It definitely destroies the brand. It might be the worst choice to have a meal in here.

  • Shashanka N.

Terrible customer service. The restaurant was busy and when I asked for the order to be taken since we were sitting for a long time, the owner says we are busy and you can go elsewhere of you can't wait. Thats a terrible way to talk to customers and im not surprised that the ratings are so low.

    (1)
  • Annie L.

Sooo expensive, they are taking advantages of people who come to this town for visit. They charge 2 dollars for one bowl of steam rice, are you kidding me? stay away from this place.

    (1)
  • Amanda L.

Stay away from this place! The service was horrible, no one noticed us after we sat down at least 10 minutes! And the price was incredible! They sell one bowl of rice for $2, and the bowl is incredible small. I suggest the owner of the restaurant go rob the bank, that's a easier way to make money. Everything is ridiculous here. I'll never be here again!

    (1)
  • Andy C.

It ruins the reputation of Chinese restaurant. All food are unbelievable terrible. Besides, it gives higher price to the Traveling group from china because some Chinese traveling agency has kickback by bringing in Chinese traveler to this place.

    (1)
  • Paul P.

The sign says in big letters "NO MSG". Now that I am over the MSG poisoning this place gave me, I guess the sign means No Message, or maybe No Mongeese, Skunks or Gnus. Mediocre food at a high price, in this case the honey walnut shrimp with a bit of the General Tso for lunch. I went home, had a nap lasting a few minutes and woke up with a nasty headache of a type I do not get. I took Ibuprofen like they were M&Ms, and suffered all day and night for over 48 hours. The first morning after I woke up apparently looking pretty bad, and headed straight for the toilet to vomit, which I narrowly avoided doing. No hope of eating anything that morning. It took two more days after the first 48 hours for this headache to subside. It's likely true they don't add MSG but their ingredients must be loaded with it. My experience puts this restaurant in the gourmet category of "Call the Public Health Unit pronto".

    (1)
  • Vivian H.

OK, the only reason we came here was because it has a drive-thru. Yup, a drive-thru for a Chinese restaurant. I had never heard of such a thing. I got a cup of egg drop soup (very watery, bland, and little egg, with a few pieces of tofu) and egg rolls. The egg rolls were especially pathetic. The wrapper they used is so large and they rolled it into a small egg roll with very little filling, so it was basically just fried wrapper. And it wasn't even the right type of wrapper, it was like fried won ton wrapper. At least I can say I've been to a drive-thru for a Chinese restaurant?

    (1)
  • Joyce Z.

You have been warned! This is the worst Chinese restaurant we ever had in our life. We know this is like in the middle of nowhere and we didn't expect a cheap bill, but jacking up the price as much as 5x of other Chinese restaurants ? It's preposterous! And that's just for the price. The service is also horrible. Waked in the door and waited for at least 10 mins to get attended. There is only one guy there when we got there and it was dinner hour! The waiter had absolutely no courtesy and most of the time you just can't find him. All that entails a freaking 18% service charge. Now it's the food. The plates are ridiculously small and food just looks so sparse on them that we doubt they brought the dishes that had been previously served. We are a four people group and we left with a least 3 people still starved. This establishment doesn't deserve even one star! Do not go there!

    (1)
  • Adam M.

Boy, where to begin. The service? The food? I have no idea. What I do know, is that as a whole, the experience was pretty bad. It was just a friend and myself, maybe one or two other tables were in the restaurant, and I definitely felt like I was imposing on being there. The main guy working sat around, talked on the phone, etc. It just came off like he didn't want to be there and that we were imposing on his night. Then, there was the food. It wasn't cheap, that's for sure. 10 bucks was about the cheapest non-vegetarian option, and it didn't even come with rice or anything. I'm okay with paying that much for good Chinese food, but the only problem with it, is that it wasn't good Chinese food. It was pretty bland. If the food was cheaper, I don't think I would be giving this place only one star, but with a certain price, especially with Chinese, comes expectation, which Ocean City definitely did not meet. I had a feeling something was wrong when we ordered, and no more than ten minutes later, had our food. Anyways.... Overall, from what I've seen of the location, you should really avoid this place. There are a TON of options for food, and I'm sure if you looked hard enough, you could find some other Chinese that's better, and who knows, maybe even cheaper. Ocean City is a place I would definitely recommend you staying away from.

Expensive and the food was horrible. Stay Away!!! Seafood Pan Fried noodle: portion was tiny and the sauce tasted like clam chowder, Gross. Beef Pan Fried noodle: again tiny portions and the beef tasted like it came straight out of a freezer. Bland and tasteless. General Tso Chicken: Tasted watered downed.

This is a clean little place to have some not buffet-style, real Chinese food in the wild. We sat down and were greeted with hot tea, and candid recommendations for what we might like, and might not. Food came super fast, and tasted really fresh and yummy! My Chinese parents are very picky about Chinese food and they loved it. I grew up here and I also liked it. It is definitely pricier than nearby Chinese buffets, but it is definitely not fair to compare them with prices. Highly recommend!

ewww. Not to be too unkind, but truthfully even thinking of the food served to us (this winter) makes me queasy. I just don't think there's any good Chinese food in Jackson. Thai, Japanese--yes; Chinese, Indian-- N O !!! also the silverware was dirty (blech)...

Recently on a ski trip during a Best Man Holiday we found this restaurant. We originally planned to go to Chinatown restaurant, but there was no parking. We found this just down the road in what appeared to be an old McDonalds type building. As a former food blogger and lover of Asian women, I have high expectations of Chinese food. I didn't expect much given the reviews, but we needed our Chinese fix after a day of moguls and hand picked powder stash runs by our expert mountain guide. We walked in...the place was empty and we had to call out for service- the Chinese gentleman who appeared to be the owner in the photos came out, almost annoyed that we would dare show our faces on a Sunday night- the situation seemed dire at best. Yet we were committed and sat down to look at the menu. The menu was pretty standard for a Chinese restaurant in a whitebread tourist town. We reluctantly ordered. The food came out quickly, but not so quickly that you were suspicious that it was sitting around all day ready to be microwaved. Pork buns- maybe they were microwaved, but they were salty sweet and as good as Phoenix dim sum in chicago. Chinese ribs- more succulent than a Mcribb sandwich and with real bones! Hot-sour soup: more tangy than Jade East in SF! Wonton soup- perfectly seasoned. My caucasian friend ordered General Tzos chicken (SO stereotypical!) but he devoured it like it was straight from Panda House in Hanover. The beef lo mein was better than Hop Sing's in Manhattan. Despite the green cabbage, the mushu pork was spot on and their pancakes didn't crack upon rolling. Everyone knows the chopping block of any good Chinese eatery is their orange glazed fried tofu. This place did not disappoint. I devoured every morsel of it. This place is on par with and in some ways better than Blue Ginger in Wellesley MA. The service can't be bested and they don't use MSG. The best part- no one had diarrhea or bad gas later that night, despite the higher elevation! All in all, I can't wait to go again with my other bizarro friends in a few weeks. By the way, jackson itself is a great town- it might have the highest concentration of custom designer tshirt shops per capita in the rural Northeast. Paying full blown retail at Lees Tees is worth it just for the experience. They got a Starbucks IN the store!! Getting the same item discounted at sports authority is just so unamerican. The next time one of my friends gets married, we know where we'll be coming.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
