Very good sushi! Very tasty! we ordered ramen, unadon, love roll, half and half roll, and links roll. The environment was very good as well. Strongly recommend. *Don't really understand why there are so many negative reviews. I think they might have changed the chief or sth. But the food we got was definitely good. Especially recommend ramen and links roll.

We were doing lunch in Jackson and decided to Yelp for a sushi spot. This joint is the only daytime time sushi in town. Fortunatly it was amazing. We were told that they recently remodeled the place. It looked very nice and super clean. The sushi chef behind the bar greeted us and asked if we wanted to sit at the bar. We took him up on the deal and sat in front of one of the TVs and caught up on some Sports Center. The chef introduced himself (Vincent) and kept up conversation with us while he made some custom Sashimi and a couple rolls (advatages to sitting at the sushi bar). Overall vibe of Kazumi was friendly, inviting, and casually delicious. I'm glad we found some sushi for lunch. I'd suggest marketing this, because they're the only sushi open for it. I took away one star for price. I might be spoiled living mostly along the coast... So this being Wyoming and all... Getting fresh fish probably costs more... If that's the case then I'm stoked on paying more and not getting sick! Awesome job Vincent, Thanks!

The food was good but for me it was a little bit salty but acceptable. The service was exceptional.

Delicious food, annoying construction. If we'd known there would be hammering the ENTIRE meal, we would've gone elsewhere.

Family went here on vacation. We had the links roll, tripple shrimp, bscr, miso soup, spring rolls, the tempura udon, avocado roll, and edemame. Best miso we've ever had! The service was very accommodating as well. Vegetarian friendly!

I am thinking this place deserves 5 stars but since I only hopped in for a roll, saki and spring rolls I can't totally tell yelp nation this is the best of the best.... But I really like this place. The space has been around for a while but these are new owners. They have a great sushi menu with fun and different rolls, a wonderful saki collection and things that aren't all raw fish. The 'mom and pop' staff was super friendly and you can tell they put their heart and soul in the business. Give this place a chance, I don't think they will let you down... And did I mention the seared Cajun tuna that they put on our roll? might just change your perception on sushi since most of the world doesn't have it. I will be sad if I eat sushi anywhere but here :(

This Japanese restaurant is nice and clean. The server is kind. I love the udon noodles here. It's my second time to come to Yellowstone and stop by to have lunch here. A nice place to enjoy a meal

I frequent this restaurant often during my lunch. Kazumi is a friendly welcoming place and I love taking my hour sitting at the bar and grabbing some sushi and some good conversation. I am always floored by the out of towners who come from the coast and they complain that the sushi is bad here. We are in Wyoming! No kidding the sushi is better on the coast where the fish is at peak of freshness. Do us all a favor and leave your comments to the side. This is a great business that deserves patronage. There are a number of Sushi restaurants in town but this is the only place where the Sushi Chefs have "creativity". If you are the adventurous type sit at the sushi bar and ask the chef to make you something. This is now the only way I eat at Kazumi. Travis is amazing and is always up to the task to make me something new and interesting off the menu. Start off with a house salad with the house ginger dressing, you will not be disappointed!

I love my Mexican or American people cooking international food in Jackson hole, but this people is closer to the experience of Japanese food, I normally ask for a kamikaze roll and let the chef create something amazing for my palate.

The first thing to notice is this is a family owned and operated restaurant, which is why the cozy, warm, and down to earth service is obvious here. The sushi and appetizers I found on par (equal to) with all of the amazing sushi I ate while living in Vancouver,BC, Canada. I also found the pricing a good deal compared to the sushi I have eaten in the Florida Keys, Miami and Denver. The chefs are willing to make special items for me. The booths are semi-enclosed so you can enjoy some privacy while dining and with less noise. I started dining at Kazumi in 2012. My favorites are: the Love Roll & the Pink Lady Roll, escolar sashimi, Pork Katsu! :) yummy

Amazing service, amazing surroundings and of course amazing food. We had 2 plates of normal sushi rols and 2 plates of egg roles. We had more than enough. It tasted delicious and we wouldn't mind to dine here again. Sadly tho, we were here for just 1 day.

This restaurant is not functioning correctly in my opinion and here is why...Not getting drinks without prompting, not receiving items ordered, issues with the check, running out of drinking glasses, watching the chefs argue and fight , I could go on but you get the picture. The food was good but on a Wednesday I can't understand the level of disorganization witnessed....there is a decent restaurant here if they could improve the management.

From SoCal so used to good ramen and udon. Did not try any sushi tho! Tempura don- outstanding. 5/5 Great batter and generous shrimp! Rice was also outstanding. Fluffy high quality medium grain. Ramen - 1/5 "miso" based but such a strong ginger taste. Had to warn others about it. I'm pretty accepting, but not good. Not enough miso taste way too much ginger. At least tempura served on the side so that was great Udon- 2/5 again, broth poor. Soy sauce based but had an odd bitter taste at the end. Noodles were good tho! Spicy tuna salad- 2/5 very small size more of an appetizer. Side dinner salad sized. Spicy but no other flavored that often defines a spicy tuna dish. Miso soup appetizer- 1/5 how do you mess this up. it was free from the yelp deal tho! The color was so light, not enough miso seasoning. Quick fix if the chef would taste it or at least look at it. If you come, then order the tempura-don or sushi (which we didn't try)

The worst sushi of my life. Twenty dollars for 6 piece nigiri lunch. Actually terrible food. Clearly the lowest quality food money can buy, sold for astronomical prices. You can get better sushi at the grocery store for 5 bucks.

Ordered the jumbo sashimi platter. It was not too bad, above average. Prices were definitely on the high end, prepare to spend more than $15 a person for a filling meal. Coming from the San Francisco Bay Area, you could find cheaper sashimi over there & of equally good or if not better quality!

No. Just no. Stopped here in Jackson, because it seemed like the only sushi spot in the area (correct me if I'm wrong). Our group of 11 was accommodated very quickly which is good.. But all of the food we ordered (even the miso soup) tasted bland and flavorless.. Sushi rolls were very expensive and small... I am disappointed and don't recommend.

We had diner here, service was very slow and the waiter was smug. About the food, makis were ok but the crispy rice with tuna didn't taste much.

If only I can give 0 stars. This place is as bad as the poor yelp rating suggests. Service was slow. Server was rude. And food was only slightly better (relative to the terrible service). On top of all that, our table of 7 were forced to pay a 18% gratuity! The service was slow it was almost comical. It took us 40 minutes to get the check!

I came here with my family (11 of us), last Saturday. We had heard that the restaurant was under new ownership and had recently changed its name (we came a few years ago and remember it being horrible). The experience we had this time was completely different from the last. Everyone in my family ordered something different. From the edamame to the miso soup, the gyoza, Udon Soup, and the Ramen- it was spot on. My dad and I ordered only sushi plates, and my dad said the hand roll he got was the best he had ever had. All the sushi I had was fresh. A few of the rolls were incredibly creative, and were not things I would normally put together- but were so yummy. I loved the Half and Half Roll and the Shazam Roll. Definitely give this place a try if you are in the Jackson Hole area, and craving sushi!

For sushi in Jackson Hole, it's not half bad. The service was slow and the wait for food was long, but I really liked our waiter nonetheless. My husband liked his rainbow roll and my chicken katsu was pretty good, next time I would ask for the sauce on the side though, they are a little sauce heavy. It was pricey, but so is everything Jackson Hole. All in all, it's sushi in Wyoming, not CA.

The tempura is wrapped with powder and is very oily. The server directly asked us to add 18% total tips for us when we give our credit card to him at lunch and called its "standard" tip. And our group has 3 people.

Horrible Japanese Restaurant, terrible service with unreasonable tips. I feel like eat nothing for 30 bucks.

This place is actually, fully , totally , completely and in all facets, awful. The service is terrible, the food is over priced, tacky and of terrible quality. If you're thinking of going out to eat in Jackson you'd be better off hitting McDonald's or buying a tin foil wrapped, 4 day old, Chernobyl bacon egg and cheese from a loaf and jug .
