Holy ridiculously tasty amazingness.... This cute and modern restaurant was pretty outstanding! I came here with a couple of locals and was blown away by the food. Is it pricy? Yes.. .but there were some less expensive options... plus, look where we are? Anyway, the three of us started with the Brussels and the pork bao. - The Brussels were great, my friend said they were the best she'd had. They were crispy and flavorful, with notes of salty and sweet. It was awesome. -The pork bao were even better, light airy bun, perfectly cooked pork topped with tangy and spicy toppings... it was like heaven. The only problem? There were only 3 on the plate.... I could've eaten a million of these things. For my entrée, I had the fried chicken served with bacon mac and cheese. Decadent, you know it! It was only 17$ (much less than other menu items), but the portion was large enough and the quality wasn't sacrificed. The chicken was an airline chicken breast (which surprised me), perfectly fried crispy and kept juicy in the middle. The mac and cheese was light with some herbs and peppers, but very tasty. I would get this again. Then..... Dessert. This is going to sound crazy, but I think the dessert we had here was one of the best desserts I have had (and I have had desserts all over the world). We split the beignets and the chocolate cake. The beignets were tasty, light, sugary and served with 3 sauces - very fresh strawberry sauce, chocolate sauce, and a vanilla sauce of sorts. This was good, but the chocolate cake..... that was the real star. I don't know that I'd even call it a cake, it was served in a jar and was undercooked in the best way possible with a big scoop of locally made espresso ice cream on top. It was gooey and rich.... it was so so good, I wanted to lick the jar. Bottom line - go here, it's pretty fantastic.

Really great food. I ordered the Brussels Sprouts--- omg, sooooo delicious. They were like candy. Plus they had pepitos and cranberries on top. I also got re creamed corn. It was perfectly charred and just a touch of cream. I split the macaroni and cheese with my sister in law. Holy cats, it was amazing. I usually think bacon is nice but not necessary on my Mac, but this was just divine. My husband ordered the fried chicken. He said it was tasty but he wouldn't order it again. My friend chose the burger which came with pimento cheese. He said it needed more pimento, but was great. Will definitely return when I'm back in JH!

Venison with Cumin & expresso rub, mole negro, apples, brandies cherries, cashew vinaigrette. More mole negro and crushed in lieu of whole cashews would gave been Perfect. Mango and cucumber starter, simple but nice. Excellent wait staff. Very prompt and informative. Aided well in the dish selection and very personable. An Iron chef winner. The menu does say it but the steak from Snake river Is coby. Nice and comfortable decor. A must if in Jackson.

This was a fun spot for the girls to gather for a quick dinner out on the town. To start, the wine list is abysmal--particularly by the glass. We ordered a bottle of Zinfandel, but it was certainly forgettable. The watermelon salad was good. The scallop dish was fresh and hot. My friend's elk bolognese was so good, she almost licked the bowl. The server was obviously trying to get rid of us, so that was annoying, and the decor is a bit too trendy for me. Overall, it was a good comforting meal, but not over the top.

Was very excited after the many 5-star Yelp ratings, but despite the nice vibes and great service, the food was extremely disappointing. Pros: The service was great and friendly, and the atmosphere was nice and upbeat inside (fun fact: the building used to be a Chevy garage in the 1950s!). Our waiter recommended the brussel sprout side, which was delicious and very unique with pumpkin seeds and surprisingly pleasant spices mixed in. Cons: Unfortunately, everything else failed to live up to expectations. My sister and I ordered the homemade pasta, which was very average and should have cost closer to $10 than $24. The chicken that came with the pasta had no seasoning, was unpleasantly chewy, and tasted burnt. My dad got the filet which was very overpriced at $42. It was honestly one of the worst cooked steaks I have tasted, with no flavor at all and again a burnt taste, like no effort was put in. Very pricey meal for lackluster food.

I loved this place. The chef made their pasta/spaghetti vegan for me, though he mentioned that he could only do it because they weren't too busy that night. It was seriously delicious. The waiter was really really cool! He had a lot of great suggestions for wine, too. I had an excellent glass - whatever it was. I wish I remembered his name! Great experience overall.

Food was great The oysters amazing the presentation the best Sara was "on it" this place was friendly, chic but still warm and cozy You need to try the Brussels sprouts and eggplant was very good

It's so disappointing. All dishes are small than I expected, and the prices is higher than I thought. The most important thing is that the food here is just so so, not delicious.

  • Liz P.

The atmosphere is homey and "nice". The food was disappointing. (The head chef was on vacation. So, no specials.). The homemade pasta was some of the best I've ever had, but it lacked an equally impressive sauce. The buffalo ribs were slightly over, so the little meat on them was too dry. The appetizer (Duck Fat Dominoes) was the best thing we had. The service was lovely, which saves this restaurant from a 2-star rating.

This review is for their catering service. We had Gather cater our small wedding at a house in Teton Village last week. We worked directly with Graeme and Kristine to set the menu, determine the logistics, and execute the night flawlessly. And the food was spectacular to boot! All of our guests (a mix of LA foodies and Midwest meat and potato lovers) raved about the Steamed Pork Buns, the Mac and Cheese Croquettes, and the Brussel Sprouts. Graeme was excellent to work with in the months and weeks leading up to our day, crafting an elegant and balanced menu that fit within our budget. Kristine set up everything while we were at the ceremony and had us well on our way to good eats by the time we arrived. She and her helper dealt effortlessly with our cramped quarters and a bustling kitchen full of rowdy guests. Thanks to Graeme and Kristine, our guests were happy and fueled for a night of dancing. Thank you, Gather!

I was traveling in Jackson last week and had a chance to eat here. It's a really great restaurant. I ordered the Duck and it was cooked perfectly. They had a great selection of beers. And I sat at the bar. I have to say that when you go to Jackson Wy you have to try this place. I will be back.

You can tell this place is special the minute you walk in. You are greeted by a beautiful smiling maître d'. The environment is open yet cozy. Our waitress, Sara was outstanding explaining the menu, specials and was very attentive and never seemed rushed even though they were busy. The oysters? Outstanding! I had the steak and my husband the eggplant special. The chef here is not only an extremely talented chef, plating is a high priority here making each dish as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palate. You've GOT to try their "Saketini". A cucumber infused sake in a chilled martini glass. Marvelous! If you hate brussel sprouts, try them here, you'll love them! We looked at other tables orders, all gorgeous.. Especially the asparagus. The meal here, soup to nuts, could put a smile on even Gordon Ramsey's face. We will be back!

Just got into Jackson and I am always looking for the best new place in town. So I was willing to give Gather a shot. It was just before 6 and the host lured me in by telling me that everything was half off during happy hour (although on closer inspection it was only about 20% off). Eather way it was still a "deal for Jackson". I got the fried mac and cheese that I'll admit was really good I think it has some truffle oil mixed into the cheese. For my entrée I am a sucker for a really good burger. And I wish that was the case but I felt it was on the blan side. No flavor, no good char, no exiting sauce, just a burger with a soggy bun, some fries and some heinz ketchup in a cup.

WOW!!!! Brian was our server he was SO awesome!! My husband had the venison, and the pork appetizer! I had the halibut and my daughter has the crunchy chicken with the smashed potato. We found this to be the best meal we have had in the past 10 days since we left Miami!! If you are in Jackson Hole I PROMISE you, you will NOT be disappointed

Just left after happy hour. So disappointing. We were told by the extremely unfriendly bartender due to "circumstances" and "things going on" no appetizer of the week or soup today. Then after we ordered three drinks each he proceeded to ignore us for a half hour. I guess there's a reason only the bar has patrons for happy hour and the restaurant was pretty much empty.

Disclaimer: I work here. The hot new restaurant in town, Gather is an experience. Try the duck fat potatoes with house smoked trout and the Opah fish from Honolulu. They feature new specials every week, and do a Food Network panel style tasting event to showcase the new items and give direct feedback to the chefs. Reserve it in advance - spots fill up quickly Ask for Thor, oops I mean Thomas. He lays the hammer down. Or Sarah, she kills it with kindness

Loved it so much we are back only six days later. The Brussels sprouts small plate is amazing, we had it both times. Last time we were here we also the cream of morel mushrooms soup, oh so good. Hubby had the braised beef cheeks with spaetzle and mushrooms both times, delish. This time we added in the steamed pork buns and salmon entree, wow, again, just perfect. And the tortellini special was fresh and flavorful. We had the s'mores dessert first time and the flourless chocolate cake this time, both were amazing. We wish we lived in Jackson so we could come here on a regular basis. Thanks so much to Heather who is an AMAZING server, and Chef Joel and the team who make some seriously good food. It's a treat to be able to be in casual clothes and have such a good meal.

As soon as we walked in the room we felt welcomed by the bartender, Ryan. After deciding to just take a seat at the bar my boyfriend asked, "what's your favorite on the menu?!" He kindly suggested the braised beef and my boyfriend actually took his advise. I chose a more adventurous option, the poblano. We both were thoroughly happy with our decisions. We definitely suggest stopping by!

Treated like second class will not return. The bar tenders treated us terrible. We planned on staying for dinner but after being mocked by the bar staff we left.

Enjoyed our delicious and eclectic dinner and made it in time for happy hour. Don't miss dessert: banana cream pie "deconstructed" outstanding!

Delicious food (Brussels sprouts, trout, and venison were all done beautifully), terrific service (Brian was excellent), and delightful ambiance (felt like a cool adult place but they were welcoming of our 2 kids and had a great kids menu). Highly recommend.

Finally we found a place in Jackson that had amazing service AND decently priced. Beef tongue fries, steamed pork buns, and the salmon were amazing. To top it off we had Beigonuts and it was the best dessert I've ever had. The service was outstanding. We felt welcomed and everyone was friendly. I will come here every time I am in Jackson.

Solid! Started at the bar during happy hour. Great drinks at half price. Cool vibe and good music playing. Shared a kale and beet salad with the wife to start. This was the only average part of the meal. I had the Elk bolognese pasta which was incredible. My wife had the trout which was also delicious. At home I make Brussels sprouts and we can never find somewhere that even comes close. Gather is that place. The Brussel sprouts are a must!

  • LAURA F.

Great, quaint restaurant, with beautiful views of the mountain. Try the pasta for sure! Sauce and pasta is homemade. The pork buns and brussel sprouts were even enjoyed by the kids. Keep going with desert by having the banana cream or chocolate cake! Service was great also!

Best food so far in JH. Brussel sprouts delicious, elk bolognese delicious, and so were the beignet-donuts. Wanted to try chocolate cake but they were out :(. Waiter was great, knowledgeable and friendly. Nice atmosphere. Their Tuesday night tastings sound fun!

We absolutely LOVE Gather! The Pork Steam Buns were incredible (our appetizer). I ordered the black bean burger (best I've ever had) and my husband ordered the Linguine with scallops. He kept closing his eyes saying how much he loved it! We also had the Brussels sprouts as a side. I've NEVER liked them, but was encouraged to give them a try. I can't express how incredibly tasty they were...I've been converted and only wish I could cook them the same way at home. The service was superb and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Graeme, the owner, definitely sets the tone for his staff with his extremely welcoming and friendly demeanor. He came by a couple of times to chat and ask us about our food and service. The ambience is the icing on the cake. I can't wait to come back!

My wife and I in Jackson for our 25th wedding anniversary. Chose Gather to celebrate due to strong reviews. It was better than our expectations. The first night (you can see where this is going) my wife had the salmon and I had the special-- Bison meatloaf. Both cooked perfectly. The real star of the show, however, was the Brussels sprouts appetizer. We loved them so much we came back the second night for Happy Hour and put away two bowls. Great atmosphere, great service (thanks to Our server Sara and Ryan behind the bar). We will definitely be back.

I went in for 2 for the price of 1 entrees at the end of the season. The bartender was great. I was disappointed with how little variety there was on their wine list for having so many wines by the glass. We were advised that approximately 5 out of 8 entrees were not available, which was understandable for the last day of the season. What I found ridiculous is that the FOH manager refused to let us use a featured entree towards our 2 for 1. She was extremely rude. I was ready to leave when she said she would do something. The 2 entrees came out and the featured entree, which was pork was overdone and still had the string around it. When I got my bill, she had only partially discounted one of the entrees. She had a terrrible attitude the entire evening. My advice- sit at the bar for dessert (unless the manager is there).

My son says "best ever!" Brian was our server and follow his advice. We had brussel sprouts, Mac n cheese, halibut, bison, elk, and trout. And, we topped it off with Brian's favorite dessert - beignonuts. Fabulous!

The service is really good. The food is nicely prepared and the restaurant itself is really nice. The only thing is that the stir fried vegetable is too salty.

I wanted to report that after posting last night, the owner of the restaurant called this afternoon to apologize and get more information on what happened. He made it clear that this was unacceptable and that they don't ask patrons to vacate tables. He was sincere, and deserves kudos for calling and trying to make things right. I'm from the East Coast , but I'd give them another try.

Fine dining. Great restaurant! Service was great, our waitress was Sarah, and the food was delicious!! The chef I an iron chef winner and his dishes were impressive! We had the salmon and the ribs. For appetizers we had beef tongue and the Mac and cheese croquettes. We will be returning! The atmosphere is very swanky and the bar and drinks are fabulous

On previous occasions it would be fair to say that both the food and the service have been four or five stars. This time not so much. The muscles used to be sooo good when they were served with the miso broth. This time they were awful. They tasted as though someone accidentally poured an entire bottle of liquid smoke into the broth. The heirloom tomato pasta was very acidic, and the prawns were over cooked. The only decent thing we ate were the pork buns, which were over priced and few. The bartender was pretty rude (on a prior visit a different bartender was rude.) Not impressed. Likely won't be going back. In terms of dropping that kind of cash there are like 30 other places in town that never dissappoint.

Here on vacation, asked around, very few locals had eaten here but had heard good things. The atmosphere upon entering was nice, contemporary. Started off with steamed pork buns and my wife was all "you didn't ask me?" I said trust me. They are awesome, she agreed. She had the poblano pepper and me a special lobster risotto. Both were very tasty although my wife thought the poblano was a tad spicy which overwhelmed the flavor (that's her problemo). Dessert was banana pie which was very good and not your typical piece of pie, bananas were caramelized etc. Staff was friendly for sure. They are fairly new and you can see and sense some growing pains. Very long wait between courses but all in all worth it.

Go here. Wowie amazing flavors at this restaurant. Very creative combos, fresh, wholesome, and healthy/balanced options. Everything was great - tried the Brussels sprouts, spaetzle, and three sisters salad. The corn chowder was also delicious. I believe this restaurant has won some awards and it's easy to see why. Pure talent in the kitchen! Wish this place was back in my hometown. Super friendly staff as well - we were the last ones in the restaurant and they didn't rush us at all.

Drinks were okay. Communication was incredibly poor. We were told that happy hour was from 9 until 11 by the hostesses, but we're told upon receiving our bill that happy hour was only until 10pm. Our party was charged double what we were expecting and told "sorry about the confusion". The food was okay, but not enough to make up for the costly mixup by the staff. Seems like not everyone is on the same page.

Did small plates and wine at bar. Happy hour features changed depending who you talked to. But half off whatever drink if ordered food. 2 small plates 4 glasses of wine when bar manager cleared the confusion up. Service was good, food was forward

This new relatively new restaurant occupies the former Burke's Steak House, just a block or two off the town square. They have a great menu that changes regularly, and a dynamite cocktail menu. The owner is on premises regularly and the restaurant runs very efficiently. He even sent a dessert home for our kids, which was much appreciated. If you want more of a casual-fine dining experience rather than the typical cowboy-rustic establishments found throughout Jackson, this is the place for you.

Pleasantly surprised how incredible the food is.. We had the scallops, a carbonara pasta special, brussel sprouts and duck. All incredible. Our server Tony was really knowledgeable on the menus and the wine..

Wasn't impressed w the menu selection or the food. The dessert though... Wow. The s'mores were amazing and so was the chocolate cake..

Nice atmosphere, good service, interesting food choices, but our entrées did not deliver. We enjoyed the steamed pork buns and brussels sprouts small plates and the Fall Greens salad, but the specials we tried (Wild Game Bolognese and Plato Carne y Camerones) looked pretty but did not have great flavors or did not meld well. The 2 burgers were just okay. At $38pp for the food listed with no drinks except one non-alcoholic beer, we didn't feel it was good value for the cost. Perhaps we would have enjoyed it more if we had ordered other entrées.

Delightful! I was really impressed with the whole experience at Gather. For apps, I recommend the scallops. They are big and cooked perfectly. We got the Stuffed Poblano Pepper and Filet entrees and they were both awesome. The portion sizes were good... But of course we still had room for dessert. The bread pudding was sooooo good. Atmosphere is nice, and service was on point. Check it out!
