Ordered: Locavore pasta Idaho peaches Saddle of lamb Trio of desserts that I've forgotten So the food was good, I don't think there is any way to contest that particular bit. However, for the prices charged, I'm not sure it was entirely worth it. That's obviously for everyone to figure out for themselves, but it really just did sort of feel like generic fine dining in that everything worked, but nothing was extraordinary about it. I imagine most of the fullness I felt afterwards was from their rather full complimentary bread basket, and I really enjoyed whatever the balsamic was that they used. However, what really, really saves the place from a lower rating is the view. It is fantastic. 8000 or 9000 feet up apparently gives you a really nice view of everything, doubly so if it's near sunset. The view is, of course, free if you just take one of the gondolas, but it adds a nice ambience to the meal that I can't really deny.

Fabulous food and wine, superb service paired with a spectacular view. We luckily got a dinner reservation right at sunset to enjoy the changing colors of the surrounding mountains. The gondola ride up was a treat, with warm blankets and spiked coffee or hot chocolate. We enjoyed the wine pairing menu. The kale salad, foie gras, and bison tenderloin were delicious! The creme brûlée was the best of the dessert trio. Carolina, our server, took great care of our group of four. The sommelier shared details with ever pour. I would have greatly appreciated a list of the wine names we enjoyed with the meal to take home.

Me and my now fiancé visited the resort for vacation, where he ended up proposing to me. Upon seeing the engagement, the resort (Hans) offered us a complimentary champagne at the Couloir Restaurant to celebrate. They were wonderful and fit us in for a reservation. We weren't planning on eating dinner however once up there we couldn't pass up the opportunity. We decided to do the 4 course meal. Our server, Casey, was more than accommodating with my food allergies. The chef changed some of the ingredients to fit my needs. The food was fresh, rich, savory and a pure delight of the senses. Not only do they have magnificent food and service but the views are breathtaking. I recommend trying to get a reservation for sunset to take in the awe inspiring views. In summation, they made my engagement night an epic memory for my senses. It's a must visit.

Unfortunately more of a view than food and service. No bread offered to the table, while watching others being provided this. Offer for coffee after dessert was served. Service completely absent between servings of four course prix fixed meal. Requested desert wine list and response was an immediate serving of a singular desert wine. Wagu beef was great, however many mistakes in other options, over spicy base for foie gras among others. Left hungry and unsatisfied. Dessert was surprisingly poor, flourless brownie was only redeeming quality. For over 100$ per person, the view was not worth it.

Couloir is definitely a restaurant that is banking more on its (undeniably) awesome view than its actual food. Service was great and the atmosphere is very upscale (as are the prices), but the food was just overdone and overseasoned. For example, the foie gras crepe thing was probably the worst preparation of foie I've had: The berry reduction was wayyy sweet and the foie itself was extremely salty, plus the crepe was kind of just a soggy mess holding the two together. Our entrees were less terrible but no more impressive. Desserts were just meh. I think my favorite was the mini cornbread we had to start. In short, the quality of food wasn't worth the money, and we should've just eaten downstairs on the patio instead!

Disclaimer first: this place is super-duper expensive. Probably the most expensive meal I ever ate. I made a reservation for this place on our last night in town as a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday. At the bottom of the gondola, we were greeted with a cup of Bailey's hot chocolate. It was such a nice touch for the ride up the mountain. Riding the gondola at night is a little bit creepy. It was fun to look out at the lights of the towns below. We were a little early for our reservation (due to the limited bus schedule at night) but we were seated immediately. We both ordered drinks and started looking at the menu. While enjoying some of the complimentary bread. We both felt a little like frauds at this super expensive place, especially since eating cereal for dinner is a regular occurrence in my life. But we did our best to act super fancy! The food was great. Great! I started with the seared diver scallops, then the soup of the day which was a broccoli cream soup with a beer cheese fondue. For my entree I chose the Yellowfin tuna. My boyfriend went with the Waygu beef belly. Both were amazing. I was sad when it was gone. For dessert we were served a little trio of desserts. One was a chocolate mousse that I loved. Everything we ate was so good and if I win the lottery I would come back here regularly.

Prix fix dinner at $95 a person was way too expensive and did not deliver on taste. I had halibut wrapped in wrapped in bacon like meat it was too salty and the polenta like stuff it was served upon gelled and developed a crust. Friend had the waygu beef. It was nothing special not as good as a supermarket filet. The bison steak was a standout flavor. Waiter was overly solicitous. View is stunning, but you do NOT get the Teton peaks. If the weather is nice, just go here for the deck outside which looked much more casual and fun.

One of the best meals I had in Teton. Take the gondola up to the top of the mountain. It's better to make a reservation before the sunsets so you can enjoy the beautiful view. Once it gets dark, you can't see anything. $95 for a 4-course prefix menu. For my first course I got the fois gras. I'm from LA where it's banned so I was very excited. For my next dish, I ordered asparagus and burrata with truffle honey. The truffle honey added such a nice sweet flavor to the dish, it was delicious. For my entree, I ordered the bison. It was cooked really well, very tender and moist. It was accompanied with shaved gratin turnips which was unique. I almost thought it was a potato but it wasn't. Lastly our trio of desserts came with creme brûlée, a chocolate brownie, and blueberry cheesecake. I thought everything was great. I appreciate that the dishes were creative and something I normally wouldn't get back home. Service was also very attentive. Our waiter even comped one of our drinks. My husband and I truly had an enjoyable experience.

Food was delicious. The scallops, persimmons and bison steak were our favorites. The service was great and the gondola ride to and from added to the experience.

I can only speak for the craft cocktails since we didn't dine. Amazing. The bartender knows what he's doing and make great, great drinks.

This place is a foodie's dream. In the midst of a skier's dream. Well played, Teton Village. The trip up the gondola to the restaurant was made cozy by a spiked coffee drink which was delicious. We were with a large group and were fortunate to enjoy the back private dining room which was the perfect size. Only 2 unisex restrooms so don't wait until you can't wait anymore. Great wine list. Above average service -- not amazing but pretty dang good. We started with a bite from the chef to get our palettes going. It left me excited for what was to come. The four course menu was amazing. I had the sashimi which was melt in your mouth delicious. The beet salad was exactly what I was hoping for: slightly earthy, just a bit sweet and the texture was perfect. Their known for their house smoked buffalo tenderloin. And boy is it incredible. The smokiness is modest and medium-rare is the way to go. Great dish. Their trio of dessert was wonderful minus the carrot cake bite, of which I was not a fan. Be advised that you'll probably not leave full and have to plan for a late-night snack. The portions are somewhat small and artsy. It's a pricey dinner, but well worth the visit.

Expensive!! That being said, amazing view! Stopped in whole skiing and had a couple Teton Mules which are soooo good. Bourbon, ginger beer, lime and bitters. Also had the edamame and they were really tasty. Actually for what you pay for the edamame time portion was very generous. Service was friendly and I am really glad we stopped in.

Absolutely one of the most romantic restaurants I have every been to. You take the gondola up to the top of the ski mountain in Jackson Hole. Where you are dropped off at the doors of the restaurant on top of the mountain. You are seated in front of hugh windows that face down the mountain! The most spectacular view of any restaurant in Jackson. Very Romantic. Completely beautiful. The food was delicious. Not the best meal I have every had but the whole experience makes up for anything they lack. The ride back down the gondola after your dinner is amazing and so romantic. Everyone needs a date night there!

The first thing you need to know is, Couloir is pricey - $95 prixe fixe for a four course dinner. But everything about the food, service, restaurant location & the view adds up to a memorable experience. Combine that with good company, and it makes for a wonderful couple of hours spent on the top of (the aptly named) Rendezvous Mountain. Appetizers include a superb foie gras. Intermezzo follows, with soup or salads - the favorite was cold asparagus and coconut soup with a toasted coconut garnish. The entrees we ordered included a smoked bison with barley and quinoa, lamb with a parsnip puree, and a wagyu beef done rare. While all were excellent, we declared the lamb best - tender, juicy, hint of coriander and garam masala, paired well with the roasted parsnip sauce. Desserts were a trio of confections, all delicious. A lot of thought and attention to detail on the flavors, textures, construction and plating of all the items, and obvious quality and care in sourcing everyrthing - it was impossible to resist taking pictures of the food before digging in. Service was impeccable, very friendly staff - amazingly both our waiter and the sommelier were originally from New Jersey! - and the merlot we ordered - a 2009 Napa valley Keenan - was perfect for the meal. Bottom line - you don't have to be a foodie to enjoy Couloir, but they do deliver a great dinner experience.

Fabulous views and great food while on the mountain. Must try - the Reuben sandwich! Excellent. Cuban chicken sandwich also excellent. Great service! Definitely recommend!

I only had drinks so I can't attest to the food but the service was great, they had my favorite beer (Fat Tire), and the views are AMAZING obviously. For a super pricey resort, it's not even overpriced if you ask me. The whole facility at the top of the gondola is very nice. Definitely the nicest bathrooms I've ever used at a ski resort. Seemed like new.

Went here for dinner, and was unbelievably pleased - this place is as good as it gets. The food and service makes you feel like you're at one of the top restaurants in any of the largest cities, and the beautiful view is an added perk. The ride up the gondola begins with hot chocolate which is a nice way to stay warm. They did a great job with the restaurant in keeping it quiet and intimate - no squeezed in tables (which they could easily have done) and the way it is shaped keeps the noise level low. The food is amazing, suggest doing it with the wine pairing - standout was definitely the foie gras, but everything was just superb. I have to say in all my dining experiences the sommelier at Couloir was the best I have ever had in his thorough explanations of the wines and why they pair well with dishes. Ate at this place our second nite in Jackson and it was so good we tried to make reservations the following two nites - unfortunately was booked, but any time we go back to Jackson a return trip to Couloir for dinner will be a highlight and something to look forward too.

I almost didn't go to Couloir because of the negative reviews on Yelp but fortunately I also checked what OpenTable reviewers had to say -- I would have hated to miss this gem. Was it expensive -- yes, it is definitely the priciest meal in Jackson. Was it worth it -- absolutely. And while it is pricey, it was still less money than comparable restaurants that I've eaten in at other mountain resorts and in big cities. He service was also very friendly and efficient. I was a solo diner that evening and was treated quite well and made to feel welcome. I was given a nice, comfortable table where I could enjoy my book between courses, and I wasn't rushed through my meal. In fact, I was comped a second entree and a glass of excellent wine because the chef appreciated that a solo diner wasn't too timid to enjoy a fine meal. As to the food, the appetizer was a perfectly prepared piece of foie gras on a mini piece of French Toast. An excellent contrast in savory and sweet, and quite delicious. The salad was excellent thanks to the generous chunks of crispy bacon and the pieces of pickled carrot. Next was the comped entree -- Hawaiian Ono a top a bed of vegetables. OMG, it was so good that I wondered if I shouldn't have ordered it in place of the cold smoked bison loin. When the bison arrived, I was even more blown away -- it was cooked the perfect medium rare that I had requested, the meat was buttery tender and the flavors incredible. While a bit on the small side, the trio of deserts were quite good; I especially enjoyed the ginger ice cream that accompanied the ginger cake, and the crunchy flourless chocolate cake. Based on this meal, I would have to say that Couloir is one of the five best restaurants that I've eaten in in the US.

The food is good, but not worth price. For $95 I expected something better. I enjoyed the 4 course meal and the Service was great. They were very accomodating to my requests (due to allergies to nuts).

At $85 per person, the meal was under delivered... We have eaten at Couloir several times and were always impressed. Last night our expectations were not met. Upon arrival 15 minutes early, the hostess told us she could not seat us until our reservation time even though several tables were vacant including the one where we were ultimately seated. The rest of the service was adequate but not appropriate for a restaurant of the stature of Couloir. Everything we ordered was prepared very quality ingredients but lackluster in flavor and presentation. We ran into 2 other groups of friends who expressed the same sentiment and concluded that this would be their last meal at Couloir for some time. We are sad and disappointed because last year the restaurant was so great.

Over priced for the quality of food. Service borders on rude. Stay away!

Beautiful views, fine appetizers, decent drinks, snotty to indifferent service on the deck.
