Atelier Ortega did my wedding favors! They made a box for each guest with two bonbons of my choice with our initals, and they were so delicious! Every guest loved them and many commented on how much better it is to have an edible favor than some small momento that most people just discard. Delicious, affordable, and easy to work with! What more can you ask for?

My two favorite chocolate shops in all the world include this one and Mamushka in Argentina, so if you are in Jackson, stop here. So many incredible flavors and textures beautifully displayed.

So this place is as good as it gets. Someone from town recommended us to visit this place, because it is definitely off the beaten path. Go here for breakfast, they make some killer coffee drinks (the pastry chef is a world renowned chocolatier, so the Mexican spiced coffee was wonderful and the mocha was delicious.) We got breakfast here, even though we know this is a chocolate place, the egg and cheese croissant was one of the best I have ever had. Buttery and flaky crust with made to order egg and cheese filling. YUMMY. The display case is very enticing. Couldn't help but buy a box of chocolates, all were great. In case you were wondering, they have a "fancy" shop in the middle of town called Coco Love, but all the baking and magic happens back at Ortega. So if you are in Jackson and needing something chocolate, coffee, breakfast, can't recommend this place enough.

To say that Atelier Ortega's chocolates are good would be to miss the point. These chocolates are otherworldly: otherworldly in the Platonic sense, meaning each flavor nearly perfectly embodies the flavor from which Oscar Ortega took his inspiration. As Willy Wonka would say, "his snazberries taste like snazberries." With truffles such as Goat Milk Caramel and Cabernet Reduction, he sets the bar pretty high. A friend of ours, a food critic in Jackson known locally as "Crumbs" actually fed-exed a box of these magnificent artisan chocolates to us while we were on our honeymoon. It was that little bit of extra insurance that we would enjoy ourselves. To him and Mr. Ortega I say, "Thank you for making our world a better place." Bottom line: If you're in Jackson Hole, WY you owe it to yourself to stop in to this shop, and if you aren't you should go to his website and see what he will send you. atelierortega.com

This time I decided to go with an Almond Marzipan, half dipped in chocolate covered in peanut dessert. It was very lite and fluffy but still rich in taste. Perfect balance of sweet and almond flavor. Luv luv luv this place. Really just look at the picture because words can not do this dessert justice.

The most amazing chocolate/dessert/coffee/espresso place in town! Oscar Ortega's creations and confections are the best! His workshop makes the best bon bons (Sweet Orange Carmel Sea Salt) and beautiful desserts (Mexican Chocolate Cake). However, I have to say my absolute most favorite item is the French Macaroons!!!! The vanilla & raspberry ones are to die for, they are so delicate and full of flavor! I love going by there and getting one or two every week and looking at the new chocolate sculpture Oscar has created. It is such a magical, delicious place in Jackson.

Ortega has a new beautiful retail store, Coco Love, that serves coffee as well as chocolates in downtown jackson. just opened in mid sept and we've been twice. Chocolates are wonderful but what's difficult to understand is why they would spend all that money on a store and understaff it. Both times the poor, overworked wait person has been overwhelmed and customers have walked out because of the wait. Spend some money on more staff or your place will be vacant soon.

We went to their new place down town called Coco Love. Hip moderne interior. Stopped by in the afternoon for gelato. Yummy gelato. Went back at night for dessert and coffee. The desserts are a visual as well as tasty delight. All locally made. Yum YumYum.

Visited here twice while in Jackson. All I can say is wow. Owner was there the first time I went and he made the best tasting cappuccino. The granola/energy bar is so perfectly balanced I want to order some and have him ship them to me! The second time we all got coffee, a pastry, and some fresh baked bread for the road. All was quality, and perfectly done. The staff in the morning was attentive and fun.
