My husband and I went here for dinner last Valentine's day. Let me tell your it was the worst dining experience od my life. The menu was limited to like 4 items 2 of which were soldout. Then were waited 2 his for our food. My husband heated him meal didn't eat a bite. The suuuuuushiiiiii was delicious. When we complained about poor food. They refused to fix the problem. Come to Find out our server was the owner. Talk about total moron asshole. The manager finally comped my husband's food and gave me a bottle of the house wine. Safe to say we haven't been back. Nor do we plan to

We won't be going back, ever! We have now eaten at Skyline Grille 2 times. The first occasion was Valentine's day right after this restaurant had opened. We chalked up the mediocre food and service to being a holiday and that they had just opened. However we decided to give Skyline a second chance this Mother's Day for their buffet. It was BAD. Like really bad. My husband called to make reservations earlier in the week for our party of 14. On Mother's Day one part of our party from out of town got to the restaurant a bit early only to find out we did not have a reservation. He called us to let us know and that is when my husband realized that the person taking the reservation did not even take his name! So he called and they said no worries, we can till get in ok. So our party gets there and gets settled into our table. Our waitress came to get drink orders and could not figure out that it was a good idea to go around the table one person at a time. Instead she was asking random people for drinks in no order. OK, but she did get everyone's drink orders. While our waitress was getting drinks the family headed to the buffet which was located in a little enclosed add-on/porch type room. The food was a HUGE disappointment. There was an omelet station with no one attending. Only by asking another customer did we learn that you put your topping choices in a bowl (of which there were no bowls out) and take it back to the table and your waitress takes your bowl to the kitchen for your omelet to be cooked. There were only 6 omelet topping choices - ham cubes, sausage crumbles, onion, bell pepper, cheddar cheese and a crusty curdled hollandaise sauce that had seen better days. Like days ago. OK after hunting down bowls 2 in our party got an omelet. They had to hunt down the waitress to get her to take their bowls to the kitchen and the omelets took a long time to come out. And when they did come out the omelets looked like runny scrambled eggs, not an omelet. Gross. The rest of the food was just weird. There was several mystery meats. I think there was pork of some sort or it may have been turkey, lamb chops, some Spanish rice, mashed potatoes gravy, another potato dish (I think it may have been scalloped potatoes but who knows), cold biscuits and weird sausage gravy. Over on the bar in the other room was sushi and some sliced fresh pineapple. Not a single vegetable in sight. Not a bowl of salad, some steamed green beans, frozen corn with too much butter, nothing except potatoes. Usually a restaurant skimps on the meat but not here. Instead they were stingy with the veggies. And the meat, let's just say gross! I personally had a biscuit with some gravy, of which I ate 1/4 of. I also had a sample of the mystery potatoes. They were just OK. I was going to go back for an omelet thinking that at least that would be freshly cooked. Until I saw the two omelets that came out of the kitchen that is. I went back for seconds and they now had fried chicken of which I grabbed a piece. It looked great and freshly cooked. However it was very very bland and needed a lot of salt. The service was HORRIBLE. Our waitress was obviously overwhelmed or new. She could not figure out how to give a refill of coffee, she reached over the table to pass hot cups of coffee instead of walking around the table to give it to the person that ordered. She forgot to bring 2 or 3 drinks, no straws were given, even for kids drinks which were served in cups with lids. When I asked for straws she just dumped a pile of them in the middle of the table. An act I would expect at a fast food/casual dining place but not a nice restaurant. She also seemed to have a problem with clearing plates and bringing silverware as members of our party were running around the restaurant asking for silverware and moving plates around ourselves. Then, we learned there was dessert. Cool, how can they screw up dessert? When asked what our options were our waitress informed us (and I quote) "We have a chocolate something, a cheesecake something, and a strawberry something". OK. So we ask her to bring out a few of each so we can see what they have and members of our party can make a decision about what they want. We said to start with the chocolate something. So she brings a BUNCH of plates with chocolate cake and goes back for more. Until we go hunt her down and say...no bring us a couple of the other desserts (you know, the cheesecake something and strawberry something) so we can see what they are. That is when she informs me that the only other dessert they have is a mocha torte. After folks in our party had seen and a few had tried the DRY chalky chocolate cake everyone else ordered the mocha torte. So the only thing this restaurant got right was the ability to thaw a frozen mocha torte. And the fresh pineapple which was hidden on the bar. Needless to say we will not being going back and will not recommend Skyline Grille to anyone.

Best sushi in Wyoming. I was sceptical trying sushi so far in land but this place has awesome food.

If you are constipated this is the place for you. Everyone got the poops, the food was horrible. And the people working there were drinking. Not a place to bring children definitely a bar environment. If your drunk maybe you think the food is good. Other than that I don't see why you would go there.

On a Sunday afternoon, with no one else in the restaurant you would think they would have good service, but we were horribly disappointed. Slow service and pathetic food. When the menu says "spinach salad with chickens and pecans" that actually translates to iceberg lettuce and some old cheese. The burger was nothing more than a cheap patty not fully cooked with raw fries on the side. And the sushi was barely passable. We will not be wasting out money here again.

Sushi was awesome for the middle of WY...whoda thunk? Service OK, but they weren't real busy.

The sushi is surprising good. Probably one of the best restaurant bars in Gillette with a friendly staff. It can be a bit slow but the foods not to bad.

By far the best Steakhouse in Gillette! My friends and I travel around the country to have dinning experiences like the kind we have been experiencing at Skyline. Last night, Jr. and his crew created an amazing bacon wrapped fillet topped with lobster and surrounded by a citrus bearnaise sauce. Absolutely amazing!

The best food in Gillette! We received fantastic service from Steve and the owner, Mark. Our group was so impressed, we went there 3 times for dinner and once for lunch in the one week we stayed in Gillette. The food was delicious. We had a party of 8 and everyone was raving about how good the dishes were. Definitely the highlight cuisine of our trip!

Service? What service? We had a marathon dinner (almost 4 hours). Nothing was promptly brought to our table. We had to wait for water, wine, apps, and FINALLY the entree. There was an appropriate amout of staff for the restaurant for a Tuesday night, but for some reason it seemed like someone pushed the pause button when we asked for something. They did offer to compensate us for the LONG wait, but they only offered free dessert. We didn't want to see how long it would take to see the desert, so we negotiated taking a bottle of wine off the tab. Thankfully the food was good, but it wasn't worth the wait.

Clean, new building. Forgetful waiter. No music playing? Didn't get dinner rolls like other tables. But we got the plates for them. High dinner/wine prices but nice flavors available (salmon, mushroom, quinoa, orange pepper, etc) and large portions. Would go again.

I must agree with Wendy on this one. I really like the Skyline Grille, it's as good as it gets in Gillette as far as i'm concerned. Although it's a little out of town, it's worth the drive over there. As for me it's right next to my new office so it works out pretty well. So far i've only really been there for lunch a few times so i've primarily had salads, soups, appetizers, etc. but my friends have tried everything else and all of it has been great. The fries are awesome!! Hands down best fries in town, which is reason enough to give it 5 stars right there. It's a new building which is also always a selling point for me. As much as I like old buildings with character most old places just tend to feel.. well... old. There are basically two sides to the restaurant, the bar, and the dining room. I've always chosen to sit on the bar side, it's got tv's and it's a little more casual but the dining room looks nice too. The service has always been great too which is a big plus. Basically it's just a really good, newer, place in town and I would definately give it a shot if you have the chance.

Went there for lunch again. Had the absolute best calamari I have had since I lived on the coast. He gets the seafood flown in fresh daily. He preps and hand batters the calamari then prepares this wonderful lemon sauce that he drizzles on (I always need extra of this stuff like a VAT!). It is served with fr diavolo sauce that is to die for. That is all we had for lunch we each got one and it is a large plate and at a great price less than $9.00. I will go there again when I am next up in Gillette! YUM!

Service was ok. Food was blend. Needs to seasoned a little more. Both my coworker and I had the pecan crusted filet of rainbow trout. And both loaded with bones! Bad Bad Bad! Mash potato was blend. Will not be back.

Terrible experience all around. Poor service, fruit flies in drink, dirty water glass, steak not cooked to specification, a side substituted without being asked, need I go on? Would not recommend at all.
