To find a place of this calibre in Douglas Wyoming is absolutely stunning. There were 3 of us there last night, but the place was packed wall to wall. We had an appetizer and a different entree for each of us. We were very pleased with the freshness, flavor, and quality of everything brought to our table. The gentleman that served us was amazing. He knew every menu item, from it's conception to its prep to it's presentation. He even made competent recommendations for beers, wines, and liquors. A good beer selection, both draft and bottle only made the night cap on their patio that much more enjoyable.

Came here with a large group... They served us lasagna, garlic bread and a salad. The greens were fresh and crispy with great tomatoes, ranch/Italian and a few (literally) croutons. If they had gotten the salad wrong dayum... What was an issue was the lasagne. The noodles were way overdone, the cheese seemed fake since no flavor (mozzarella should be salty and creamy), no spices in the tomato sauce (including salt or pepper) and the meat was also blah unseasoned. Essentially a train wreck of a piss poor attempt at an Italian favorite. Not sure if the main cook/chef was absent but I'll give the benefit of the doubt. The garlic bread was fantastic but how hard is that too make/screw up like the lasagne. The dessert was essentially the best thing, so I'm assuming it wasn't made in house, because good parfait isn't born of a poor ass attempt at noodles cheese and beef with tomato sauce, and if so then their dessert chef needs to break free and start their own company. The place seemed clean, packed to the brim, and popular just because. I heard the hamburgers were good but from second hand experience they are pretty meh.

We were worried that we wouldn't be able to have a sit down dinner as we got to this restaurant 25min before it closed. Luckily they gladly let us in to get a half decent meal into us. I picked one of the chicken Alfredo dishes. When it was delivered out to me, I did question myself whether I picked the right dish. It was very disorganised on the plate. Looked like someone had attempted to make it look nice, but sorry, EPIC FAIL!!! It really didn't look appetising at all. On the other hand, the meal tasted really good. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of the meal. Service was pretty good. They looked after us and looked as though the chef even served us the meal.

Nice big sandwiches the ribs were a 6 out of 10. The building has a lot of history. Nice beer selection. Decent pricing. Douglas Wyoming is cool. Our server was good. The sweet potatoe fries are amazing !!!

Stopped while on the road because of good reviews here. Excellent and large serving on the half rack of ribs, tender and meaty, with a good flavored bbq sauce. Good garlic mashed potatoes for the side dish. On the other hand, the portobello marinara sandwich was pretty blah, with a side of sweet potato fries that were just ok. Good maple drizzle on the fries though. Service was excellent. We would try it again, and if the whole rack of ribs is proportional in size to the half rack, would order that to share, with an extra side dish or two.

Wow! I never expected such a tasty meal in a little town like Douglas, but that's exactly what we got. We had a great impression when we arrived at 1:20pm on a Friday afternoon and it was quite busy. We were seated right away and our server took good care of us. The hamburgers were very good, the sweet potato fries with maple syrup were surprisingly delicious - not too syrup-y. The alfredo sauce on the shrimp alfredo was the only disappointment but not enough to lower my rating. I recommend this place and if I ever came back to this town I would eat here again.

Had dinner here while passing through Douglas on a road trip. Seemed to be one of the better restaurants in this small town. The mushroom appetizer was fried a bit too much for our liking, but still tasted pretty good. Our burger was also somewhat over-cooked, although partially saved by having guacamole on it. The sweet potato fries with a maple syrup drizzle are fairly good. The salad was probably the best dish we had - ingredients seemed fresh and it was filling given the healthy serving of chicken applied to it.

I was driving from Yellowstone to boulder and decided to spend the night in Douglas after a long day of driving. For a very small town with nothing in it this little restaurant knows how to cooked a good meal. The place is clean. The service is great! A ton of craft beers on tap which I love. Oh, and a great outside seating! I think this place was great and definitely recommend it! Some of the other reviews say things "taste like they cooked it in a microwave". I definitely don't think that's the case! Try the "steam engine Alfredo". You'll love it!

Got no business in Douglas? Stop here anyway. Just driving through? I don't think there's any other place that's going to beat the Depot. Good beer list with strong local selections. Courteous and timely service. Amazing sweet potato fries. Burgers look good, I had a standard but delicious melt. Surprisingly good salad bar and wonderful soup options. Strong recommendation.

Great food and a nice place. Service was slow but every seat was taken. Can't hold that against them. Burgers are great and both kinds of fries are good. The mozzarella sticks were odd but very good as well. Train wreck is the only way to go.

Great food and good service, these folks are doing it right! Very unexpected to find in small town America, but it just proves the point that consistent quality is a great recipe for success.

Such a cute place! I got a chicken wrap which was delicious. My mom ordered a trip through the salad bar with grilled chicken, she said the salad was good but the chicken was dry. My three year old got chicken tenders which were also quite good. They had a great batter. Quick friendly service and very reasonable prices. We will be back!!!

The Depot is a wonderful restaurant! Good service, great food, and average prices. If you are looking for a great American food restaurant, this is where you will want to go. They have steaks, burgers, pasta, sandwiches, etc. Best sit down in Douglas.

This seemed to be a very popular place for both eating and drinking. When we got there, we got the last table that was free for at least 20 minutes. I felt sorry for the people waiting. We got drinks after a few minutes, but sat waiting for about 15 minutes to place our order. Unusual to find so far north, sweet tea was a drink option. Yum. I tried a fancy margarita and wish I hadn't. Too much orange juice...best to just stick to the original. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, wraps, chicken, pasta and fish dishes were all on the menu. Pretty standard fare plus full bar. All the plates that we saw come out were loaded with food. No small portions here. They also have a salad and soup bar. Four TV screens on the same sports channel. We both got burgers and they were good, fries too, but nothing exceptional. I don't know if they were just missing some personnel that night or if they are always that busy, but if we came here again, we'd plan on it taking longer. Perhaps it's just a small town that moves at a different pace than what we are used to. Nice people and friendly service. Three stars because I can't say I'm a fan, but I'd go back.

Oh YUMMY!!! Driving through town on a big road trip I didn't expect much from this small town, but oh my I was pleasantly surprised!!! First if all, it is in an old train depot and the atmosphere is super fun and quaint. Make sure you have their maple glazed sweet potato fries... They rocked my world!!! We had the Summer Special Luau Burger (pineapple cream cheese, jalapeño, etc), buffalo chicken wrap, kids meal (it was HUGE), and a portobello burger. Everything was excellent. They have a unique menu with LOTS of vegetarian choices. I wished I lived close by... I would come here all the time.

The Depot was a good restaurant to go to. I had the Buffalo chicken salad and would say that the chicken salad was good. I went with a group of people and there food was good as well. The bacon cheeseburger and the beef tip sandwich looked and tasted good as well. The atmosphere was great and everyone was very friendly. I would say that this is one of the better restaurants in Douglas WY. I would recommend this restaurant to a lot of people.

Stopped here on our way to Denver. Great menu, fast friendly service, and they offer a full menu, salad bar and outdoor seating for summer. With the salad bar I was also able to order a side of chicken (that's' new for me). Jileasa ordered a wrap with sweet potato fries. We were able to order and be back on the road in approx 45 minutes; nice break from the usual fare along the I-90 exits. So drive into town, see all the jackalopes and find the depot, (next to the railroad tracks). Douglas is a sweet little town.
