Came for dinner. Better than I expected, but simply average, salty food. Nobody complained about anything, but nobody ranted and raved about their meal.

Sat in a booth for several minutes and NO ONE bothered to come greet us. Servers just standing around and chatting with each other. Very disappointed and wanted to try the "mom and pop" restaurant instead of a chain. We did not order and left.

A solid place for breakfast, just like the name, it reminded me of breakfast places I used to go to 20 years ago. Nothing fancy, nothing too special, just good food and good friendly service at good prices.

Obviously this is the place for breakfast. We had left Yellowstone at 7:00 am and had skipped breakfast to make it out before the road closed so we winged it for breakfast. Saw Granny's and pickup trucks so we pulled in. We lucked out and got a table right away. It was Sunday morning and obviously the place to go for breakfast after church. The food was good but better yet was the atmosphere. Watching all the locals belly up to the old fashioned lunch counter and trading gossip was great. Loved it.

We thought that with a name like 'Granny's' it would have to be good, right? Ugh. It's in bad need of Robert Irvine and the Restaurant Impossible team to come in. We had numerous flies at our table's window; the decor was old, and not in a charming way; the corn was obviously canned; my frozen pieces of fish were deep-fried until nearly black. The service was not bad but the young woman was obviously just doing her job. In reading other reviews, we see that this place is known for its breakfast. I hope they do better than their dinners. We all left feeling bloated and sick.

The bean soup is the thick heavy type that kind of looks like it was from a can. I also had the apple dumpling, it was good but maybe too much cinnamon. The waitress was very good though. All the good reviews were for breakfast so I'm going to have to try that.

Grannys Restaurant reminds me of every Denny's type place found in America just off the freeway exit. It is what it is and no more. You will find breakfast, hot and cold sandwiches and some dinner "specials". Me? I was needing a salad and went for the taco version. Nothing wrong with it but nothing special. It really was exactly what I was expecting and no more.

Granny's was just kind of... well, blah. I would not have expected Granny to let me down like that. We are here in Cody for the weekend of July 4th, and decided this would be a good bet for a meal. While the service was pretty good, the food was pretty much TV dinner quality. I had the chicken fried steak, which was (maybe) the worst offender of the bunch. I can say with confidence that it was NOT fried. They most likely had it frozen and then heated it up in an oven. Other dishes included chicken strips that looked like they suffered from a similar fate, and spaghetti/meatballs. I didn't try those, but they didn't look good, and, well, let's just say they didn't go into anyone's stomach.

The best chicken fried steak and eggs you'll ever eat. Biscuits and sausage gravy ~ delicious! Friendly, attentive service, reasonable prices. Good Sturgis pit stop. Don't get the negative reviews on this place. Did not experience any of the issues the others brought up. We are here with a party of 4 and the restaurant is full. Service is great, food came out quickly and was hot. The gravy had sausage in it and sprinkled on top. Our server refilled our coffee multiple times. We all highly recommend this place.

The staff was really nice. I ordered the fried chicken, figuring that it would be a safe bet in a place like this. Wrong! It was cold at the center! I sent it back and asked for just a bowl of their bean soup, which was just okay. We'll be sure to do our research ahead of time!

Stopped at Granny's 6 years ago on my way home from the Sturgis Rally and found the food and service terrific..look forward to another awesome breakfast or lunch again this year. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling to Cody

Not too good. We waited a long time for our order to arrive. The coffee cups are tiny. And all of the food was average: canned gravy with very little sausage; bland hash browns; frozen sausage patties. Basically, all was made from cheap ingredients and lacked flavor.

If you like filthy floors...gum pop's waitresses who ignore you, forget to take your order, forget to bring what you ask for...cooks who don't wash their hands after poop'n ( no lie....hubby saw him come out of the stall ) And nothing special food...then this is your place! Oh yeah...not one female with long hair had it tied up....so what do you think your odds are....

Food was excellent! Chicken fried streak was delicious. Eggs cooked perfectly. Service was attentive but not stalkerish.

I was a little concerned with some of the reviews, but based on its proximity to my hotel I gave it a shot. I was seated immediately (9am on a weekday). The host/cashier was a very nice woman. I had coffee on the table 30 seconds after sitting down. It was refilled frequently without me needing to ask. The server was very nice as well. The food was reasonably priced, tasted good, and came out quickly. It wasn't a 5 star meal, but for a cozy small town diner, it was pretty standard. No complaints to speak of. It was a good experience. I would visit again.

Solid breakfast place, I cannot speak to lunch or dinner. Eggs were cooked as ordered, bacon was nicely cooked, hash browns were ordinary but that's okay in my books. Other than a small coffee cup really cannot complain about anything. The small cup was refilled quickly and frequently and the breakfast came quickly enough. I would certainly go back/

Food was good. Restaurant could be cleaner, but it wasn't unhealthy. Lots of chit-chat by staff and locals.

My husband and I were surprised at how expensive the restaurants were in Cody, especially considering the less than seller reviews. We wanted something fast and relatively inexpensive so after looking at a few menus elsewhere we ended up at Granny's. This seems like a local place- with lots of conversation between patrons and staff who seem to know each-other. This meant we waited a while for water refils (they left a pitcher on the table but we were thirsty and it was empty quickly.) The food was fine. My husband ordered a breakfast dish which he enjoyed, thought it wasn't super big. I had the beef stroganoff special. It came with the salad bar and while it wasn't amazing it was good and a nice option for something a bit more healthy. The stroganoff was good but it wasn't outstanding. The place needed a good deep cleaning too. Considering the prices and reviews of other places in town this seemed like the best bet. It was 120% better than my excursion to the slowest Wendy's on earth, also located in Cody.

We had heard from friends that THIS was the best place for breakfast. Well, either their standards are lower than mine or they were starving or desperate. There was a wait-for what reason, I couldn't tell you-and the hostess was less than thrilled about more customers (this at 8a). The carpet is threadbare and nasty, booths weren't super clean-just overall not well kept. Getting my coffee refilled was a miracle. Leave a pot if you aren't planning to come back, please? Food was perfectly average. Not perfect, just average. There were flies in the restaurant (ugh). Clean goes a long way. And carpet is cheap. And coffee is easy to keep filled.

Friendly service, decent breakfast and watered-down OJ. Nothing spectacular.

Closed to new customers on a Sunday night at 07:30 because they were going to shampoo the carpets! Guess they didn't need our money and cannot shampoo at 10:00!!

Locals eat here and for several good reasons. First, they are open from 5 a.m. - 11 p.m. You may have to wait for a seat (they are busy), but the service once seated is quick, friendly, and attentive. Lots of options for breakfast from pancakes and French toast to eggs with bacon, corned beef hash, and more. One of our favorites was the sourdough toast covered with sugar and cinnamon (yum). Here again for lunch and the senior soup with half sandwich was great and inexpensive.

We had breakfast here 2 days in a row. Two eggs over easy, hashbrowns and toast. Great tasting food and good service. I will have breakfast here again next time I'm in town.

This is the local "hang over cure" They have great breakfast, ok lunch and dinner that will do. The breakfast is always great and served all day. The coffee is ok for a diner and the seating is cozy.

I'm not sure about lunch or dinner, but the breakfast here was AMAZING! I had the Farmers Favorite Skillet, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to start out there day with a full stomach and a smile on there face.
