I tried the seasonal dish strawberry fields waffle. It had straberries cooked in the batter. Eggs were hot and fresh cooked just right. Sausage patties delicious. The waffle was flavorful and topped with strawberries, strawberry butter, and strawberry sauce to top it off. Great dish to try. I was pleasantly suprised in how good the food was. I recommend this spot to everyone.

The Egg and I is a go to for special breakfasts in our family. The breakfast potatoes are the only ones I like and the strawberry soup is a delight when it's served.

Stopped by for brunch on a Sunday. Lots of church goers there, eating after church. Very calm and social atmosphere. Great service, it was fast and friendly. Food was beautiful to look at and was very light and healthy tasting. One of the best restaurants I have been to. Great experience with my wife. We had to wait a while for the check in the end but other then that a must go!

I've traveled all over the US and had breakfast in many places. This has to be one of the best. I've come twice this week and I plan to come again tomorrow for breakfast. Try their apple cinnamon pancake.

Not bad, had the Monterey eggs Benedict's. It was good, also had the grits not bad. The price is good for breakfast, only bad part was the hot sauce, not so great... They need more verity of hot sauces.

I'm reading the reviews here and it seems that people in Cheyenne think that this is a local shop. The Egg and I is a franchise restaurant, just like IHOP and Denny's. It's way better than those 2, and I am surprised to learn that Cheyenne has one. Was not expecting one here, they are usually in big cities. I can't wait to try it, and hopefully update my rating. When I lived in San Antonio, I was friends with the owner, and that place was always packed. I have tried every single menu item at least 3 times, and can not get enough. Will visit soon

It's clear why this place is a local favorite. Friendly people, generous and tasty food (we had the Santa Fe Huevos and Eggs Benedict - the ham was great). It's my first )and maybe only) time in Cheyenne, but if come back, I'll return here!

The egg & I is not a local restaurant it is a chain & they are all over the Denver metro, best breakfast on the planet!!!!!

If the name of the restaurant is The Egg and I then you would think their eggs would be the star of the show but that is NOT the case. When I ordered scrambled eggs it was more like a blob of eggs or a bad version of an omelet. Then there is the texture of the eggs. Mine were wet and definately not cooked all the way. I would have told my waitress but she disappeared until all of my other food was gone or ice cold so what was the point? My husband's eggs were very over cooked and had an almost burnt taste. I ordered a large cholclate milk that was almost $3 but was the size of a small child's cup and all the waitress said was that is the large. Then why have an option of regular or large on the menu? This place is overpriced and highly overrated.

Wonderful breakfast and great service. Stopped in during a family trip and am I glad we did. The whole family had one of the best breakfasts ever!

Ate lunch (brunch) here twice. Had a very good Andouille sausage skillet and then a soup/sandwich special (Turkey Croissant and Broccoli Cheese Soup) that was a perfect cold weather lunch! Service is quick and friendly.

The food was good. Nothing we couldn't cook at home, but it's nice to be lazy sometimes. Nice atmosphere.

Unexpectedly delicious Greek frittata! We went to the parking lot because of the reviews on yelp, and left because it didn't look like much on the outside. After stopping at a coffee shop, a local recommended we try the Egg & I. So we went back and enjoyed our meal! Yummy!

We love the egg and I for breakfast or lunch. Service is usually great. Best eggs Benedict in town. I usually order the hikers Benedict and it comes with chopped asparagus and portobello mushrooms on top...delish! My husband will order anything from their breakfast burrito to their French toast to their oatmeal. For lunch we get the chicken apple walnut sandwiches served on cinnamon raisin bread! So good!

I love this place. I've been to a lot of different locations for this restaurant, and this is one of the best. The service is great. The food is really good.

Tried to go in for breakfast on 7/22 however the Cheyenne Frontiers Day parade that day created an obstacle course to reach it. So we returned on 7/23 as preparing to head out of Cheyenne onto Deadwood, SD. The place was busy, but not packed. we were immediately seated, service was great, waitress was very attentative & friendly, very good food & coffee (they leave the coffee carafe at your table), good portions, reasonably priced. Would return.

This place came highly recommended by a local State Tropper.....we walked over from the museum and got there around 1:30. Even tho they close at 2pm...we were not rushed and received great service and food! My hubby has a skillet that he raved about and I ordered the waffles with fruit. Great choices. Our server was so nice and checked on us often without being annoying....all in all great place!

One of the best sit-down breakfast/brunch places in town! It's nothing fancy, but the food is always good and cooked to order. I love the charm this place has. With the egg and chicken tchotkes and lace doilies, it's like they ransacked granny's china hutch and linen cupboards for the decorations. Still, the ranch potatoes here are legendary! I could eat these every day. My son and I like to come for brunch on the weekends, but sometimes the wait is too much for his hungry appetite. One curiosity, though - they give kids coloring pencils instead of crayons with the kid's menus. My personal favorite here is the Cambridge Skillet with poached eggs and an English muffin. All in all, this is a great breakfast at a reasonable price. Too crowded on the weekends, though.

We were passing through Cheyenne and wanted a delicious breakfast. We found the deliciousness at The Egg & I. MAN! The eggs were perfectly cheesy and the bacon was just the right amount of crunchy. I had a waffle and my husband had an omelette. So satisfactory and a must for breakfast.

Great little sunny spot for a weekend breakfast! The staff is usually very nice and attentive, the food is always fresh and yummy! Love the frittatas and the hollandaise sauce is to die for! Can be a little crowed during the weekend but well worth the wait!

Service must have improved. I have been here four times while on vacation and it beats the rest of the areas 4 star restaurants. Servers are nice. Service is fast. The food is standard food. Pretty good but not spectacular. Lots of choices on the menu. Probably a 3 1/2 star but I gave it another 1/2 for being the only restaurant i found in town that has real half and half for coffee instead of the little pods that set out on the table all day. After my second day there they even started asking my name. So if you are in Cheyenne Wyoming and want breakfast this is it for standard. If you want high end breakfast there is a little Bed and Breakfast place that you can not beat! Negalle Warren I think is the name.

this breakfast nook reminds me of an upgraded int'l house of pancakes. nothing to write home about: the wait staff friendly enough yet not overbearing with that "oh, honey" or "oh, sugar" business i'm not to fond of. the pancakes filling + the hashbrowns a bit on the dark side (e.g., near-burnt). good thing i like my potatoes crispy. the breakfast prices were reasonable. this place's redeeming factor: they manufacture they're own hot sauce + it was darn good!

This place is fantastic! It has a lot of healthy choices too. We had the vegetarian eggs benedict and it was great. They have several choices of coffee flavors too - that's coffee bean flavors not syrups. The service was great too. I would recommend this place any day of the week. I have been to this place 3 additional times and everytime great food and great service.

No one from Cheyenne needs yelp to know that this is the place to go for breakfast or brunch. The Egg & I is a local favorite and a good place to get the egg in several different varieties from benedict to a scramble. The restaurant is typical of Cheyenne businesses and you'll find regulars in here any day.

The only good things about the Egg & I is that it is close to downtown and open on Sundays. Food is marginal as is the butter on their toast which seems made for movie theater popcorn and not breakfast. Waitstaff is fine, but the front end staff is atrocious.

Very good food with same service. Locals say best place in town to eat breakfast. I'd agree. A filling meal at a fair price with friendly service. A must for anyone traveling thru.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I should have known better especially when we saw three irate customers complaining about customer service as we walked in, but we were hungry. I guess that's what we get for giving people the benefit of the doubt. Anyway, service was slow even though there weren't very many people there. My eggs were completely overcooked (I wanted over medium instead I got completely dry yolks, yuck) and my partner received the wrong order completely. When the server finally come to apologize for bringing the wrong food she said,"Yeah sorry about that. I saw something Mexican looking in the window and I just assumed it was yours." For the record we ordered a Mexican Omelet and she brought a burrito. Ridiculous! Won't be returning...EVER.

A good breakfast is hard to find in Cheyenne... The Egg & I is on a very short list of places I like to go. Although they are a chain restaurant, their food is really good. I usually opt for one of their omelettes, but their pancakes, waffles, and eggs benedict dishes are really good as well. Just be prepared to wait for seating, as this is a very popular destination for breakfast here in Cheyenne.

Read many posts and we decided to try. The food was great! I had the Biscuits and sausage gravy special with eggs, potatoes and it was under $9.00!!!!! The coffee was very good and they give you some while your waiting for a table.

Excellent breakfast- you can count on this restaurant-- anywhere- to be consistently good. What can be "dicey" is the service-- but not here! Our server, Ariel, was quick and very personable; she made our dining experience a real pleasure!

Great food and friendly staff. We are in from out of town and found this place on Yelp. They have a good rating and they earn it. Haven't had brunch here, or lunch, but the breakfast is great! Good coffee and the Parisian Benedict was amazing! Also, the waffles are delicious and they have a great assortment of jellies and jams. Delicious and affordable!
