We loved Sanfords! The restaurant is decorated with all sorts of fun items and characters. The food came in large portions and it was excellent. Our waitress was very responsive and nice. I recommend Sanfords.

This place was featured on roadside America and I'm happy that it was as it was my favorite thing to visit in Casper Wyoming. The food was okay it was basic American food and the service was slow but it left you a lot of time to look around at all the cool things that they had on their wall. Their desserts were absolutely amazing and the scenery outside with great take pictures with. Next time I come I would definitely want to bring my kids so he could experience it too!

Came back even though we said we wouldn't...and we're glad we did. We had Christina as our waitress and she was the antithesis of our last waiter. She was attentive, took good care of and made sure our glasses were kept filled. The food was so much better, and I would recommend ordering a steak here.

There aren't a ton of options in Casper, especially late at night. We were tired from driving a very long day and ended up here. My husband ordered steak and seemed to like it. I opted for the atomic burger that had lots of cheese, ham and jalapeños on it. Yumm! It was really good. Love that combo! The car decor and theme was an added bonus for my car enthusiast husband. The staff was very friendly, quick and the place seemed pretty clean. Good atmosphere!

Pretty good Bloody Marys... Also, I really liked their food.. Large portion sizes.. Great waitress.. Definitely a place to check out if you're passing through

Wow...when we saw the prices, we expected this place to blow our socks off. My husband tried the chicken fried steak and I ordered the "southern fried catfish." Having moved here recently from the south, we probably should have known better than to order "southern" dishes. Well, they don't skimp on portions, that's for sure. The hubby was served TWO entire steaks plus sides...a LOT of food. He said his was okay, but not great. As for my catfish, it was the furthest thing from "southern fried" as you can get! It was battered and fried until chocolate brown rather than cornmeal breaded and golden. Bleh. I don't know that we'll give them a second chance, mostly because that's a lot of money to risk throwing away again.

I went here twice, and the one downtown twice, to give them a fair shake. Of all the places I have been to, and it's many, these offer the most "flair and "eye candy" - and the least amount of service of any restaurant/bar I have ever gone to. Wow. I actually thought poor service was part of their gig. I was truly amazed. When I got sick from both locations, that was enough for me. I have never gone back.

Disappointed. Our server was new and screwed up our order. Didn't know what any item on the menu was.

I'm going to assume management reads the reviews and makes changes because 2 1/2 stars shocks me and I'm glad we took the chance for lunch. I tried to think what improvements could be made if I gave it a four but just couldn't come up with anything so I had to give it a 5! Everything outside caught my eye and made me smile! I knew we had to eat there! Inside was even more fun with so much to look at! We were seated immediately. The menu is fun and amazing. The hostess, server and manager were all super nice! The food came out quick, hot and delicious! Yes, the prices seem high and they are but for the amount of food you get it's spot on! Looking forward to my leftovers for dinner! I will make the trip to eat here again! We are a family of 4 with two teenage boys, we all left full and satisfied!

The decor was extremely cool, a lot of cool memorabilia; gas pumps, old cars, and so on - that was the nicest thing about the place. Our server was outstanding, she did a great job. Now the food, it was just okay - nothing really I'd go back to this restaraunt for. It was just marginal at best. The food quality just wasn't that good. The menu is extremely large, a lot of choices, however we had three different meals, but none of them were that good. The $1 pints of beer were the best part of this place, they had a pretty good selection of several different beers. Next time I'm in Casper, I will not be stopping at the Sanford's Grub & Pub.

My family and I tried to eat at Sanfords tonight. We were the only customers waiting to be seated. After not being approached for over 10 minutes we made eye contact with the wait staff and we were still not seated. Finally a waiter came back to check out one of the three tables in the restaurant so we finally thought we would be helped. To our disappointment the waiter didn't even acknowledge us. We walked out and went next door to On the Border and had our full meal in less time than we waited at Sanfords.

Ridiculous! The Service here rules but food is not bomb, I thought beef was a good idea, WRONG! you'd think in Casper you'd get decent, prime beef. Sadly the burger patty was obviously a pre-formed and frozen patty. I had the mushroom swiss burger, which literally had 3 thinly sliced ghosts of mushrooms. I used to enjoy this place back in the day, like 10 years ago, but its gone way downhill.

Tried again after a year absence. Prices up. Service down. Food quality way down. Last time I will visit. Shame.

Spent the past week in Casper and this place quickly became a favorite. A menu with a great deal of variety, decent selection of beers and reasonable prices. Bartender Amanda was very personable and a great resource for someone out of town.

Food is greasy and not anything that great. Staff is all young and not very attentive or professional.

Food is good but the service is horrible Got there about 5 and no bartender. Had to flag someone for a beer. Ordered the Elrod and she brought out the wrong order. Claimed "my bad" and I waited 20 min for the right order which was cold from sitting. Don't know what was so important in the back but saw two customers come in and have to beg for a beer

This was my second visit to Sandfords. I'm sorry to say it was worse than my first time. Me and my fiancé arrived. After we arrived we were sat at a table where the seats held the food of the previous guest. After asking them to ask someone to re-clean the seats, I was told shed send someone over to clean. After waiting 20 minutes looking through menus which were in need of replacing (damaged) we were confronted with a waitress who after spending 10 minutes having a laugh and a joke with her work-mate, asked what we wanted. At this point I stood up and replied service 10 minutes ago and we walked out to her saying 'fine' and laughing. 1st time service was slow; 2nd time service was worse. There won't be a 3rd time for me.

I eat at places all over the country because i am a truck driver and i thought that the food was actually really good and I also thought that the service was really good. Not sure why this place has bad reviews. Beer selection is awesome! 4 stars.

So, my original review for these places were removed, because apparently there was "inappropriate content" on them... So I am bitterly copy/pasting my old review and reposting them. Cheers. Nothing special... Fair burgers, over sized plates. Food is acceptable. specially considering the cost, and being in Casper. Decent beer selection, but nothing out of the ordinary. Junkyard decor... Kinda neat, if it didn't look so filthy and I wasn't afraid of the dust that gathers everywhere.

Waited at the door for 5 min. Before even being seen by staff. Restaurant was very slow, so no excuse for the wait. 5 in our party. All ordered our drinks. Server brings wrong drinks and then wants to argue that is what was ordered. No it's not, yes that is what you ordered. Places wrong plates in front of us. So we had to pass the plates around. My wife asked for A-1 steak sauce. I finished half of my steak before the server came back. No apology, just tells my wife " this is the only bottle in the restaurant" wow never again. Lousy service and very over priced food.

Two stars for $1 pbr. The food is a joke. I ordered hot wings and I received a plate of dry chicken bones. Pizza hut has better quality and price. Sanfords....boooo

Visited while in town to try the food. 3 stars for the food. The decor is awesome for any car lover. I ordered the "Spare Tire", it was pretty good. My wife ordered the "Hobo", the meat wasn't what she expected. Not bad for the atmosphere.

So this is my question... Why isn't management reading these reviews and fixing these issues?? Do you not enjoy working there?? Because if they aren't taken seriously..it wont stay open. Come on people...if your employees aren't doing their jobs, get rid of them. Its that simple!!!

Service is poor. Waited 45 mins for the food that tasted like a TV dinner.

Here in the Midwest (Kansas City) we don't have Sanford's Grub & Pub. (The back of the menu lists 10 locations, mostly in Wyoming) So this was my first exposure to this silly, busy, slightly mad way of dining. The giant two or three stories tall Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck flanking the front of the restaurant were only the beginning. This is a place for kids (of ALL AGES) and a place for car nuts and for fans of parachuting pink flying pigs, motorcycles, air planes and lighted fake palm trees and so much more that I'm sure even with a 20 minute wait for a table and 60 minutes or so to eat our meals and drink our drinks, we probably did not "see" everything that the Sanford's Grub & Pub had on display. But, even when I'm being entertained, I want to have good food and service. Sanford's delivered in both departments. Cheerful, friendly service and a big happy to see us smile. Our waitress was one busy lady but kept up with the flow without missing a beat. And the food: The menu is big -- both in size (six large pages) and in the number of items offered. We had some time while waiting for our table to check out the menu and I was glad I did or I might have taken 30 or more minutes to order. However, the Ester Steak sandwich caught my eye right away and although there were many other yummy sounding entrees to tempt me, I am glad I ordered the Ester. It's a perfectly grilled sirloin served open face on garlic toast that I paired with Cajun fries. Hubby got a Pit #2 (1/2 lb. cheese burger) and Sweet Georgia Browns (sweet potato fries). Very good grub and even though it was fairly noisy and stayed busy the whole time we were there, we never felt rushed and were allowed to take our time and enjoy our meal. I sure wish there was a Sanford's Grub & Pub in the Kansas City area. It's a really cool place.

Went in on a Sunday around 9pm. Every empty booth and table was unclean and still had dishes, etc. from people that had been there perhaps hours before. Had to sit at the bar. The food is very cheap, overpriced and processed. The plates are really big, but the food portions were just average. It seems like they spent far too much money on the decor and not nearly enough on the food. Mini salad was drenched in nasty tasting highly preserved dressing. Lettuce was just iceberg. Pasta dish was worth about $2 in actual food cost, but they sold it for $15. Beers were inexpensive, and there was a cheap $2 pint special, but my friend got one that was completely flat and tasted off. Don't think I'd go back here. Mediocre food and was a mess.

Kids loved it! I hated it, was very expensive and so-so food. My fried Okra was the best food item. My kids liked the over the top ambiance and road sign size menus, which I hated because it seemed like we almost spilled the water two or three times with them in the way. I spent almost $90 for 4 and I would not call the food above average.

Our meals were in edible. Literally. You know the wait staff understands this when they see you haven't eaten anything and ask if you want a "to go" box. When hearing "no", there is no follow-up question. Just the check. Horrible.

Waited over 30mins for a waitress to take our drinks order, one entrée had to be returned as it came out with cheese that was asked not to be included, have eaten here many times in the past but the service keeps getting worse.

I've been here twice. The first time the service wasn't great, but I didn't think it was horrible. I got a southern style chicken sandwich which was really good (they serve southern fare here). I also ordered the onion rings, which weren't really rings, but onion fries sort of things. They weren't so good, especially for the amount of fat I am sure I was inhaling. The second time I ordered their southern style chicken ceaser salad. Which I was not impressed with at all. The chicken was super dry and there was barely any dressing. But the service was very good that time. Overall, I'd recommend checking a Sanford's out if you are in the SE corner of Wyoming (they have like 10 locations). Mostly for the 10 foot tall Bugs Bunny and the cool interior decorations.
