6:30 a.m....coffee okay... strange decor with tint of republicanism and uber patriotism. They have a sticker on their milk cooler reading "annoy a liberal". Heard a regular venting about obamacare.... Blah blah. Service pretty quick...waitress not very friendly. Avg breakfast, but ate and on the road.

We ate at Yankee Doodle Cafe on my way to and again on the way out of Jackson. Even my 13 year old son said I need to give them a positive rating on Yelp lol. The food is amazing and the owners are patriotic as they come! The decor is not a gimmick at all for them but what they believe in! As an active duty military, they bought my dinner and that was by all means unexpected. The family loved the food and couldn't wait to stop there on our return trip through the area...we had a table full of chicken fried steaks (huge portions to boot). My daughter is a vegetarian and they took care of her as well with a great pasta meal. We had breakfast on the one day and it was awesome! Lunch for the return trip and again awesome. This is only the second review I have bothered giving on yelp but the place is just that good! Keep up the great food and we look forward to making the Yankee Doodle cafe a must have if we are ever in the area again! Make this a family stop for yourselves! Map location is a bit off showing it on 26 headed toward Jackson. It is on 89 south of the intersection of 26 and 89 about a block. Tim

Went in for breakfast this morning and the prices were double from anywhere we'd been in 30 years. $12.99 for a scramble? We had a cup of very good coffee for $2.50 EACH and left. Prices were an outrage! Read other reviews and pick a different place unless you like having your wallet cleaned out.

Friendly service but food was less to be desired. We had no other choice. For some reason every restaurant in the small town was closed at 7 on a Sunday? We had hamburgers and fries, both just greasy greasy greasy. Wouldn't go back

We Love This place! Great food and excellent service;at a reasonable price! The decor is phenomenal: patriotic, as the name implies. Try the Memphis pulled pork served with coleslaw on it. YUMMY!

Love love love this place!! Our second trip to Alpine, and always eat here. Staff is super, and food is good. Decor is fantastic if you love America and don't want to see it changed into a third world country. Truly believe and honor the constitution. Bravo.

Three of us came in for dinner after a long drive. I have been in lots of small towns and many times they food is suspect. Not here! We were found the interior inviting with patriotic paraphernalia adorning every inch of the walls keeping in the theme of its namesake. The waitress was also friendly and very capable. As for the food, we ordered the mushroom Swiss burger, chicken fried steak, and the Hawaiian burger. The food was good and in particular my wife found her order of the chicken fried steak to be quite yummy! It had the perfect crunch and was not soggy. The Mushroom Swiss burger was good and was very satisfying. We found the Hawaiian burger to be average. We also ordered a pitcher of Fat Tire beer from the tap finding that it was very reasonably priced. Shortly upon ordering, we were served a large and full pitcher along with two full glasses with the perfect amount of foam!

We stopped in this cute little cafe and had some great food. The red, white and blue patriotic theme was fun and we had a very nice dinner after driving around the beautiful mountains here in the Idaho/Wyoming area.

Decor is wildly "Patriotic" hence the name. Service was OK, not great, but not the worst. Coffee... order tea instead. We had breakfast dishes. Eggs, sausage, hash-browns, omelette, all looked great, but had NO flavor. In fact, I think if you were blindfolded you wouldn't be able to tell what was what. It was not "bad" as in spit it out, just tasteless. So if you just need calories, and can't taste or don't care. Prices were cheap, and this would fit the bill.

Welcoming atmosphere. Amazing how far the red white and blue can go. Ordered philly steak and reuben. Both just a little beyond normal good. Upon mentioning we would be splitting a meal they pleasantly brought it in two baskets.

No surprises here -- the restaurant's interior, adorned with ridiculously jingoistic artifacts (such as a bumper sticker saying 'Boycott France' stuck to a model of The Statue of Liberty!) is depressing in a David Lynch kind of way. The food is almost laughably greasy, yet despite that it's still somewhat flavorless. Our waitress seemed angry, and at one point just threw a basket of fries down on the table without saying a word. Alpine is a small town, but there are many, many nicer places to eat.

Great place to eat, my boyfriend was in the military and got his meal free! The food and service are always awesome!
