We stopped at China Wok for dinner on our road trip back home and loved it! The best thing about China Wok is that they make all of their soups from scratch with each order! The hot and sour soup was filled with delicious fresh greens and mushrooms that had the distinctive wok hay flavor that you can only get from stir-frying at a high heat. It's the best I've had anywhere! The chicken with Chinese vegetables was also incredibly flavorful and fresh, packed with cabbage, bamboo, and celery. The broccoli in garlic sauce was tasty, though a bit sweeter than you might be used to from other restaurants. There are a few tables for dining in, although it's really set up as a takeout restaurant. Everything was very reasonably priced and combination portions were filling; I took about half of mine home after having eaten the soup.

They dont deliver. I called to ask if they had a menu online so i could place an order for delivery and was told they dont deliver. I gave it three stars based on the food quality reviews from other people.

Looks like any Chinese take out place anywhere, but is really an oasis of tastiness. A few tables for eat-in. No hot tea. Nice folks. Winning.

I ordered chicken noodle soup and Sesame White Meat Chicken. The white meat was slimy, had fat attached. The texture of the "white meat" did not look like chicken. I threw the whole meal away. I would not order anything from them again.

China Wok is not only the best Chinese food in the Ohio Valley, it is the best that I've had anywhere! As a Wheeling local, I've been eating here for many years. My wife and I regular get their sweet & sour chicken, chicken & broccoli, or chicken lo mein. The restaurant is not much to look at visually, seating is limited, and it can be hot inside during the summer, but their staff is always friendly and the food is excellent. Whenever my wife and I recommend China Wok to our out-of-town guests, everyone has always been thoroughly impressed by how great the food is and generally express that it's among the best they have ever had.

I am only giving this place 2 stars based on the friendly service I received when I picked up food and the fact that the others I was with said their food was kinda good. I ordered general tso shrimp. I would urge everyone to stay far away from this dish. It was like a shrimp wrapped in a pancake.... Not crunchy at all.

I ordered from this restaurant a hour ago and they still did not contact me, and so I proceeded to contact them and had a lady that was claiming that she did not receive any of my order information however she knew my address, and apparently did not have a issue cancelling my order after a heated discussion about how lousy the service was. Don't order from here. Their food MIGHT be good, but their delivery service sucks. Grace is much better. Now I have to go to work without having had anything to eat. Thanks for screwing my day China Wok.

Fresh chinese food is a lost art form in the United States. These guys put you more in mind of a New York Chinatown taste. Great taste, good price, nice service!

Very fast, clean and inexpensive. Call ahead as this is essentially a take out only place. It is what it is . . . The best Chinese in Wheeling.

I wouldn't have come to this place if yelp.com didn't recommend it... Great taste, reasonable prices and large portion. Friendly staff. We are non-local, but would come back here again. A+++!!

This place is seriously amazing and delicious! Their egg drop soup is to die for. I usually don't write reviews but I have to let everyone know about this place! It's a tiny place and little hard to find if you don't know what to look for, it's more of a takeout place as the inside is tiny and only has two tables but it's still the best Chinese food I have had anywhere. It's always hot and fresh (and it stays hot on the 15 minute car ride home!). I can't tell you how many times I have had this place for lunch! The lady that takes the order is super nice and sweet too. She usually gives me a freebie like sugar donuts or a two liter of Pepsi. If you are craving Chinese I highly recommend this place!

Best Chinese food in wheeling. Only a few tables to sit at (mostly a takeout place). The sauces are what make this place great. Very flavorful! Favs- chicken & broccoli (extra spicy) , hunan chicken and cheese wontons. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

It's delicious hot and fresh. It would've received 5 stars except for the fact last time I went, I got the lunch special (I always do, it's a wonderful deal) and the option is always soup OR egg roll. The last time I was in, the told me I'd be receiving an egg roll, I told the women I didn't like egg rolls and would prefer egg drop soup (theirs is amazing). She said they didn't have it, so I don't know if they were out or no longer offer soup (hopefully not the latter). Anyways, it's not much to look at, mostly a take out place but the people are nice, the food is really good and the prices are reasonable. I will be eating their again (hopefully enjoying soup)!
