I thought the buffet was alright. Small but tasty. The sirloin had a good flavor and cooked medium. Fried chicken was better then your average KFC. Salad bar was ok and the soft serve ice cream was good. Three stars. Not great, not bad. Worth the money.

We ate there on Friday, two days ago. If I could give zero stars I would. Horrible food bar and not much to offer: dried out chicken, tough steak. Salad bar was ok. Staff was friendly, but don't believe I will ever return here.

Two Words: Food. Poisoning. We stopped here on our way to white water rafting, since it was a short stop off Exit 99. The Steer Steakhouse is located in a desolate looking strip mall type of area...one that is not nearly as well lit as you'd like and where you hurry up and run to your car and lock the doors. Whenever we entered, it was set-up like a Ponderosa, where you can order off of the menu or get the buffet. Since we were in a hurry, we got the regular buffet and the seafood buffet. The entire restaurant felt greasy and I could just picture Chef Robert Irvine walking around, destroying the place with a sledgehammer and commenting on all the bacteria growing in places. I basically had a forkful of everything that I tried. The seafood buffet was not worth it (the popcorn shrimp was nothing but small fried little slivers), but the salad bar had a decent selection. My boyfriend ate the steak "strips" (very overdone....but I guess that's what you can expect with steak on a buffet), pork chops, corn, and macaroni and cheese. The very next day, he woke up throwing up and also having it come right out the other end. I felt okay, but again, I didn't really eat anything except for a roll (which was tasty) and cookies (which were quite tasty as well). Let's point out some of the positives... The hostess was very nice and told us that they make their own potato salad. Also, there always seemed to be workers wandering around, checking on the food (which at least made me feel like they were replenishing more often than not). Also, I literally saw them take cookies out of the oven, so that was a nice touch. We should have just gone to the McDonald's right next to it...it would have been better, cheaper (the dinner was around $33 total), and not caused a mess the following day.

This is the most nastiest place we have ever ate at. I ate there once and didn't think it was the great but figured we would go back and give them another try. Well, it was not very impressive. My wife and I barely ate anything and I have a 5 and 3 year old and neither of them would eat anything. Every bite they took they do it out and refused to eat and they never act like that. Needless to say I will NEVER EVER go back there again!!!!! Get a grip restaurant owner, you are the only steak house in weston, you could be the best place to eat in town, have some respect for your business.

My wife and I stopped here while staying at a nearby motel in hopes of finding a halfway decent burger. You order from an overhead menu as you walk in the door, then take a table. The most popular choice seems to be the buffet. My wife gave it a shot, but the pickings were slim. The most interesting item was the fried chicken. Dry meat with a soggy coating according to my wife. The pinto beans were unremarkable and tasted as if they came from a can she added. I went with the burger and the side of mashed potatoes. I was suspicious when I realized the waitress didn't ask me how I wanted it done. The burger had to be one of the worst burgers I've encountered, and this includes the sort of burgers you find at picnics and high school stadium concession stands. The meat was over mixed and overcooked, giving it a texture not unlike a hockey puck. The mashed potatoes were obviously instant. Nevermind that the dish took over 30 minutes to arrive. The waitress apologized and explained that the cook and manager were busy moving furniture in the back room in preparation for a remodeling. I hope he washed his hands when he was done. We didn't order a steak, but if the burger is any indication of the kitchen staff's skills I'm glad I didn't shell out the money for a steak. Seriously, I could have had a far better burger at McDonalds at 1/4 the price. I guess the attraction here is that if you get the buffet you can load your plate with a LOT of food. If you want a lot of lousy food this is the place for you. The service was congenial but a bit sloppy. You'd think even the waitress would start wondering where my burger was after 20 minutes or so.

Ok let me start off by saying. I travel for business 99% of the time and this is my first review ever on yelp. I have been using yelp for several years to find decent food during my travels and have always been satisfied with the outcome. Now for the review. My coworker and I felt like Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy in that movie LIfe.. This food is reheated prison food at best. But for some reason this place is packed at lunch! I'm not sure if the locals have ever had decent food or not? No disrespect to the local inhabitants!
