Gotta say one thing. The horror stories about this place is right on. Another time that the store was not busy at all. As sabrina s. stated on the really awesome service that her and her husband recieved is the norm for this location. I only go to 2 strikes and the second one is the last time that I will be at that location, event, or of anything. Out of 2 dine in and 1 take out this place has some serious problems. The one that really made me wasnt to go crazy (probally more than normal) was on my birthday. My wife surprised me on my birthday when I got off work and took me to outback and said whatever I wanted to order. I went with my favorite there. First we waited around 15-20 minutes for a server to come to our table. We started out and ordered a bloomin onion and our drinks which was 2 sweet tea's. 15 minutes later we get our onion and another 10 minutes our drinks. Nothing says awesome than one refill the entire night. I ordered the melbourne medium rare and my wife got a salad. Found a hair in her food so I waited for her to get her food fixed. Meanwhile at the table next to us 2 other servers were throwing a dirty towel to each other cleaning tables. Talked to the manager, my wife was so upset caused she wanted it to be a special for us, since there is so many places here in the big town of princeton. I explained everything to him and he said he would take care of it. How did he do this. . . . ? Had everyone working sign a card and gave me 2 cards for a free bloomin onion and told me happy birthday. What a drag.

The service has always been excellent here. Plus the free unlimited bread is a huge plus. The one downside is the lack of variety on the menu. Price is fair with other restaurants in the area. The major downside is the portion size of the entrees. For some reason the appetizers are always a huge platter, but the entrees always seem to be small in portion size.

This place really is awesome. Food quality is superb and the staff is super nice. Anytime that I have ever had a problem (steak over cooked or mix up on salad dressing), the issue is remedied quickly with no fuss. I just really like this restaurant.

Outback is a great choice for a special meal. The only drawback is that it is very expensive compared to other restaurants in our area. I love their specialty non-alcoholic drinks--delish. Dave had the rack of ribs last time we were there. They were very impressive. I had shrimp cocktail and mashed potato soup and enjoyed those, although the serving of soup was smaller than I would have expected. Service was quite good. Not as noisy as some other restaurants which was very nice. Definitely a good choice for a special night out.

Not as friendly as most Outbacks I've been to but I must say I did appreciate being left alone. Had the Ahi Tuna. It was over cooked especially at the ends. All in all I'll say it was a neutral dinning experience. Could have been better, could've been worse.

Was on a business trip and decided to visit this Outback Steakhouse. Was greeted at the door by a very pretty waitress and got a table instantly. The waiter came promptly and I ordered my drink and revived it in less the a minute. I then order my Filet Mignon & Lobster meal with a house salad and grilled asparagus. The food was delicious!!! Asparagus was cooked perfect and the salad was also very good with the recommended dressing, Mustard Vinaigrette. The steak was also made perfect; ordered mine medium well and it was cooked perfect. The lobster was also very very well cooked and tasted great! I will defiantly return the next time I am in town! A++

This is the worst outback i have ever been to. I went with a party of seven on a monday night. The waitress was slow and had no manners. She almost elbowed me in the face when trying to refill my drink. Terrible service she barely acknowledged our table. We didnt get our food till an hour after we ordered. And my steak came out burnt. I would avoid this place altogether. Bad food and terrible service. Instead head on over to southern exposure, because titties and beer.

Pretty standard experience to any other outback steakhouse on MLK weekend. Intro: With our party of about close to 20, the wait time was considerably longer than what we called in for. But since we were on the road for so long, heading from Atlanta to Snowshoe, I guess the others needed a break from being locked up in the car and some breathing space. Location: I'm not sure if it's just this area and there's not much choices around, or perhaps it was MLK weekend and other people were heading up to Snowshoe as well... but this place was PACKED! They did have a very nice waiting area with a long booth L shaped bench, which our party nearly took up. Aside from us, there were many parties of 4 or more waiting as well. Service: Our party was split into two "tables" so that our two servers could assist us better. They were attentive on the refills for water, tea, and soft drinks. I'm not sure what was the holdup on providing one load of bread though. I really think we should have ordered an appetizer as the food took a while to come out, especially since most of us ordered steak. Food: Not bad, not great. I'm so, so on how I feel about Outback still. I ordered a featured dish, Outback special with Lobster & Mac and mashed potatoes. The steak was mostly medium by the time it came out, but generally still moist and not overcooked till dry. I was disappointed by the lobster & Mac. Very, very few portions of lobster and the cheese sauce that accompany it was very lacking on any flavor. A couple of dashes of salt didn't help out much. Mashes potatoes were your average sit down restaurant fare. Overall: I've actually never been a real big fan of Outback, their food has just been sub par with me. I actually prefer Long Horn's more so. Come here if your stomach can wait a bit on any food going to it and whatever else is around doesn't seem that appetizing.

My experience was one for the record. I eat out quite often and i also manage 36 grocery stores so i know a little about customer service and efficiency. When we first placed our order (4 people) our server said they had no fries...ok no problem...but 5 min later he came back and said they didnt have my soup...5 min later...didnt have my daughters blumming onion...5 min later the deliver the saltiest onion soup ever...i had them take it back 10 min later they deliver the food...but dont bring my salad. He comes back 5 min later and says? you guessed it...no salad. Im the only person who is now sitting at my table with no dinner Shane the manager really stepped up. He took responsability and took care of our meal. The issue remains that a customer came out hungry. When asked if they could bring me anything else on the menu i asked for ahi tuna salad...and again....they didnt have it! shane found this to be incorrect. I would suggest hiring servers that are efficent. By the way...my husband did leave a small tip because that was the right thing to do but this server really missed out on a very good table

This letter was prompted by an experience on 5/14/14. It is also representative of a progressive deterioration of quality and service at this location over the years as I have been patronizing this restaurant since it opened. I remember when this restaurant opened. I thought it was in fact quite good in keeping with other Outbacks in which I had eaten in various locations. This was years ago. My rating at the time would have been 4 stars. Over the intervening years, I have eaten at this Outback probably twenty times. Last night I ate there again with my family. It was probably the last time. Our experience began after walking thru the door. We were greeted by two "hosts", a young man and woman who despite the fact that we were the only customers it the front area didn't seem to notice us. They didn't even look up. The male was too busy giving the female a back rub. Once we were seated, we couldn't find a waitperson to take our drink order. In fact we were not even acknowledged by any wait staff for 10 minutes or so. When it became apparent we would not be able to put in a drink order from the table, I went to the bar to put in our order. At the bar was the bartender sitting on one of the bar stools texting on her cellphone. She didn't even look up or acknowledge me in any way. I sat down and waited for a couple of minutes. Still nothing. I then said excuse me, can I order a drink? She responded, "how long have you been sitting there? In any event, she made the drinks using the shot glass but not even filling it making this probably one of the worst drink values I have seen. Back at the table, a waiter finally approached us and inquired if we had been helped yet. We hadn't. He became our waiter. He was a very nice waiter, eager to please. His hands appeared dirty as did his uniform. He did give us the requisite sales job on the appetizers and we ordered cheese fries and ahi tuna. It took a long time but when they came out, the fries were cold but the tuna was very good. We then ordered our main courses. I ordered salmon with broccoli and a side salad. Two in my party ordered prime rib, while two others ordered mahi mahi. After a really long time, in fact just prior to our food coming out, our waiter informed us they were out of prime rib. Two of my party had to re-think their orders and they both ordered the ribs We then ordered more drinks as well. After another long wait the food came. We then realized we had no silverware at the table. We asked the waiter for silverware. With our food on the table he walked off to get silverware. After about 5 minutes, we saw him cannibalizing silverware off of other tables. Apparently they ran out of clean silverware. This restaurant was not busy. Less than 50% of tables were occupied and there were only 2 or 3 patrons at the bar. The salads were very small. Less than half the size I have seen at this particular restaurant in the past (years ago). My salmon was tiny an dried out without flavor. My daughters mahi mahi was fishy and inedible. The vegetables were way overcooked. The ribs were good. It is apparent that either the management at this store either has no idea what they are doing or they don't care. I do not know if this is a systemic problem thru out the Outback organization or if it is limited to this store. This store has demonstrated an insidious degradation to where it is now deserving of one star. It seems as though achieving a higher profit margin by reducing portion sizes, food and staff quality, etc takes priority over quality and customer service. The experience at this store is a very poor value. The restaurant seems dirty, the staff seems too busy texting or giving each other back rubs to do the job they are there for. In my view, this is a perfect prescription for failure.

A Plate of Disappointment with a Side of Regret AKA: Horrible Service with No Remorse I met friends from out of town at this location for a nice dinner to play catch up and eat some tasty food. What I received instead was a plate of disappointment with a side of regret. First: We had to ask 5 different servers before we were finally given two more sets of silverware. Second: I ordered the seasonal gingerbread martini. It came to me looking pathetic, soggy, and sad. The gingerbread man that was to be floating on whipped cream was missing an arm. That arm must've ran off with the whipped cream because it was MIA as well. When the server asked me what I thought, I told him it wasn't very tasty and it looked horrible. His reply was, "Oh well. Now who wants dessert?" Third: My dinner was to be a grilled fish with rice and some sort of salsa/chutney on top with a veggie side. What I received was a plate with a slab of overcooked fish, no rice, limp overcooked veggies, no chutney, and no server around for 15minutes to ask for the rest of me meal. Finally the server came by and gave me the chutney in a bowl on the side. He seemed almost sorry about the meal and the drink. And I had hoped that would be reflected on my bill - It wasn't. I was charged full price for a lackluster meal. I have NOT be back since.

Unbelievable that a steakhouse would run out of burgers ... but it happened here. I'd say poor management not to do proper ordering. Kitchen or server, not sure which, was EXTREMELY slow. We waited 50 mins between the time we sat down and got our food. Granted it took 15 minutes to find out there were no burgers. Horrible experience

We stopped in late on a Friday. Our waitress was a teen and seemed a little frazzled throughout the evening. Her service was mediocre, but the food quality was standard, reliable Outback. The steak cuts are always consistent and well prepared. We had a little mix up on the appetizer order -- we said Onion she heard Ahi (tuna), but all was worked out eventually. This isn't the quickest roadside meal, but I didn't expect it to be either. You get a good amount of food for your money and decent quality too.

We were traveling home via our motor home (40ft + a 15ft trailer) on Sunday evening. I called the Outback to ask what time they were closing and was told 10:30PM. We said great and got off the interstate and proceeded to the restaurant. We always call ahead due to the trouble of getting into parking lots with our massive motor home. Upon arriving there the door was locked so we were walking, of course upset back to our motor home when I saw people in the carryout area. I knocked and asked what time they closed and was told 9:30PM. I told the waitresses and manager (I am assuming since she was in all black) about us calling 10 minutes prior and being told they closed at 10:30pm. They asked if that was us in the big motor home and I answered yes and that we wish we would have been told the correct time due to the difficulty getting up there. The "manager" told us to come on in and dine, this was 9:43PM. She sat us in the lounge area and said a waitress would be with us shortly and immediately the bartender "Chris" began giving us looks and speaking loudly about his dislike of us sitting down. He then proceeds to tell his buddies sitting at the bar something then walks back to the end of the bar, under the television and his buddies start yelling, "Hey Chris, What time do you guys close?" Chris replies, "9:30pm!!!" "Hey Chris, Want me to cash out my check?" "No, YOU guys are fine since you've been here!" This type of behavior continues while there are also other couples sitting in the restaurant AND in the bar lounge area! An older couple, probably in the early 70's start looking at him and a younger couple sitting right behind them. This continues and I simply got up and informed the waitstaff what was going on but apparently by this time the manager who had put us at that table had left for the evening. My husband wanted to say something but I reminded him, "You are a Physician, he is a bartender, and those guys are sitting at a bar on a Sunday night drinking." My husband has two practices and I myself own 2 businesses and have 2 Master's degrees so we hold ourselves to a higher standard of character than I suppose a bartender at The Outback does. If any of our employees had acted like that in front of any patients, let alone at least 5 couples, 3 in the bar area, 2 that were still seated in the dining area, they would have been fired on the spot, no questions asked! It is simply inexcusable! The waitress took out order, and when my husband ordered a bottle of sparkling water the waitress told the bartender and as he was opening it he gave us both a nasty horrid look! Now, be it that we don't own a restaurant, but being in the service business, the bartender having NO IDEA who we were, we could have been employees from corporate, a secret shopper (as I was one while in college and grad school), or perhaps the owner of another Outback location, this is how he treats people who were sat at that table by one of his bosses!!! We left at 10:20PM, and the other two couples that were eating in the same area left maybe 5 minutes prior to us. The waitress was great as was the food and we gave the waitress probably the biggest tip she has ever received from a table of two because we did appreciate her taking care of us. But we will never eat there again on our way home and we have also informed everyone we know via email in regards to this location. The waitress said that they were always slow on Sundays at this location (our location in Charleston, WV is always packed on Sundays) and who knows how many others this bartender has offended and with today's social media it doesn't take long for the word to get around to boycott a location of any business especially when it is due to poor service. People simply do not put up with wait staff who think they are better than the people they are serving and whom are paying their wages through tips! There are too many restaurant choices today to choose from.
