GREAT addition to Parkersburg!! Outstanding Hibachi food - sushi is excellent. Staff is awesome and the entire place is impeccably organized and clean. Very impressed -- it's great to have a place like this in town.

We've visited here three times now, twice for supper and once for lunch. (The dinner menu is gargantuan, with dishes from all over Asia, while the lunch menu is smaller and features mainly standard Chinese dishes.) My husband is a big fan of the gyoza and orders them as an appetizer every time. He had the hibachi steak the first time we were there and thought it was pretty boring. Since then he's tried the General Tso's chicken and the steak and shrimp teriyaki, both of which he liked a lot. I've had the Thai coconut shrimp and the spicy Malaysia, which turned out to be pretty much the same dish except for the heat level. (I ended up liking the less spicy version better, because it lets the other flavors shine through.) I also had the chicken in garlic sauce, which was a very nice dish and not at all too garlicky. This place costs a little bit more than people might be used to paying for Asian food in this area, but you can tell that the ingredients are top-notch and handled with care, and in my opinion, it's well worth the extra cost.

Now that I'm spending every other weekend or so in the Parkersburg-Marietta-Vienna, WV-OH Combined Statistical Area, I'm on the lookout for new and interesting places to try. I saw the rave reviews of this new place on Yelp, and bookmarked it to check out. It is in a strip mall between a BWW and an empty storefront. The interior has a lovely dark atmosphere, and would be a great date night. There are open tables and booths, a sushi bar, and a side area with semi-enclosed booths. The overhead hanging lamps use a variety of colors to set the mood. We tried a variety of items: edamame, salmon skin hand roll, sweet potato roll, futomaki, eel roll, and salmon nigiri. Everything was very fresh and nicely presented. It's hard to find good hand rolls even in Columbus, and this one was done very well -- not too heavy on the sauce, which left the salmon skin nice and crispy. The eel was great and again, not too saucy. The futomaki had a nice variety of preserved vegetables. Salmon nigiri is usually my benchmark sushi item, and the fish here was a nice cut (although the traditional dab of wasabi was missing). Bypass the wings and check out this new place next door! The bill for the two of us came to about $35. Service was good and the ambiance was lovely for light conversation -- if anything, a little too quiet, but probably due to it being a slow Sunday evening. Go visit so it stays open and I can keep getting my salmon skin hand roll fix! Update: We came back on V-Day after our ironic trip to Olive Garden was foiled by a 55 minute wait. There was barely any wait here, just a couple minutes to set a table. I had another salmon skin handroll and the beef udon in broth. The meal comes with clear soup (dashi with mushrooms - very hot and very good) and a small salad (the dressing is supposedly the ginger citrus, but it tasted like they were aiming for the Thousand Island crowd). The udon was a large portion, and came with beef, shredded napa cabbage, sprouts, an egg, and bamboo shoots. Patrick had the chicken katsu, which was a nice sized breaded chicken fillet served over lettuce and with a side of rice and dipping sauce. Service was excellent, and our waitress was very helpful and patient with other tables who were unfamiliar with the cuisine.

Delicious food, the seaweed salad was excellent... Vegetable tempura perfect, service was friendly and professional. We will definitely be back! Absolutely stunning ambience, one of the best restaurants around for over an hour.

Its a must try!! Don't let the beautiful interior fool you into thinking they are expensive, they are average priced sushi and its amazing. I high recommend them! Great service and awesome food!

Service was great- nice and quick, attentive but not rushed. I'll definitely eat here again. The miso was delicious and there was a great selection of rolls to chose from- all in all a win for sushi and sake night.

My teenage son and I decided to dine at this restaurant after reading the positive reviews. The restaurant is in a strip plaza but when you walk through the door, we were pleasantly surprised by the decor. We had great service though it was a Sunday night at 7:30 and it was quiet in the restaurant. But our waitress was friendly and quick to take our orders. My son had the teriyaki chicken with fried rice and I ate the garlic chicken. The portions were very generous. We really could have split either meal between the two of us. We couldn't even eat our mound of rice. Excellent choice all the way around!

Service was very rushed. We had barely touched or Crab Rangoon when our sashimi was put on the table. The quality of fish was very good in the sashimi, but when our spicy roll combo arrived that stopped. The rice was over cooked and difficult to chew, they added fried crispys to the inside of the roll drying it out. There was also very little to no spice in the roll. After delivering or roll out server vanished, leaving us sitting there for almost 20 minutes after we had finished eating. Overall, a mediocre experience.

I have been here 5 times and each time the service is fantastic and the food is delicious! I've been waiting for many years for a decent Asian and sushi place to open in Parkersburg. Nothing in the area comes close to how awesome I think this place is. Sushi is fresh and delicious. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. I'm the happiest with the service here. The staff is excellent. Oh, and the inside decor is beautiful! Highly recommend!

Really clean and nicely decorated inside! The service was excellent - waitress always came by to check on our drinks, food, and to clear away any dishes. I would highly recommend the Chicken Katsu - really nicely breaded =)

I'm not from the area and was really in the mood for sushi which isn't exactly something you want to be craving while in WV.... no offense. I decided to give this place a try and it was actually really great. Everyone was extremely friendly, the service was fantastic and the food came out super quick. Their prices aren't too bad either. I'll definitely be coming back again!

We went to Shogun's in Huntington in early December, and were very impressed with the sushi. So, when we found out about them opening a location in Parkersburg we were ecstatic! We love it, it is by far our favorite plane for sushi in Parkersburg! The atmosphere in the Parkersburg location is a lot better than that of their Huntington location, almost gives you an actual Japonese feel.
