We weren't really blown away with The Wine Bar. The food was just OK and the wine list was mediocre. The electronic menu is harder to navigate than it needs to be. I couldn't really find the wines I wanted on it. The list also differed from what was shown on their website. The service was attentive and prompt. We dined on the bruschetta, which was delicious, and the Italian stuffed peppers. The peppers were very bland and we would not order them again. However, everything was fresh, so that's a plus. I would recommend this place for a pre or post dinner drink and nothing more.

Great wine bar with upscale and sophisticated atmosphere. I have been here once with friends and once with my fiancé for Valentine's Day. Both times we really enjoyed it. This is one of the nicest places that you can find in a college town full of dive bars and clubs. The building is gorgeous and new, and the food was good. The only thing that I would change is some more menu options. The pizzas were delicious, and the wine selection is vast.

The ambiance is second only to the hospitality! Great small plates and lots of delicious wine make a memorable experience inside or on the patio. Just be warned your table may be a little misplaced by your server if you're on the patio. But ... you're on the patio :)

Absolutely a great wine bar in the middle of hill country. No way rednecks and hillbillys would know about this place or could appreciate its value. Outstanding cheese and wine selection. Food choices are limited but compliment the food wonderfully. If your understand and appreciate high end restaurants, then visit this Wine Bar.

This is a drinks, dessert, and vibe-only review. I came here for the first time last week, around 8:00pm, for wine and dessert (not to be confused with dessert wine, which is disgusting, sorry). We took a seat at the bar and were waited on by a very sweet but surprisingly unhelpful bartender. When it came to wine, her recommendations and descriptions were hard to follow. She did, however, allow us to try the wines, which is always a nice touch. Your menu is actually an iPad fitted specifically for the Wine Bar, which while very innovative, is hard to navigate: I'm 24 and relatively tech savvy, but I found the constant back-paging and finger swiping tiresome. I thought technology was supposed to make our lives easier? No worries, all the more reason to taut the superiority of the most impressive technology ever: plain and simple print. After we received our wine, we ordered a caramel brownie, an option which is not featured on the online menu (in case you were looking beforehand). It came out warm and was very appetizing (small as things tend to be in these places, but appetizing nonetheless). The whole experience was classy and enjoyable. For example, they offer free valet parking: an unnecessary touch, it seems, considering the ample space in their parking lot. But then again, perhaps on a busy night, it would have been welcome. We sat at the bar, enjoyed our time, and didn't feel rushed - like I said, it was a weeknight and relatively quiet. I say 'relatively' quiet because there was one group of middle-aged women who were causing quite the stir. Lord knows what was so interminably funny, but whatever it was provided a steady background of raucous responses for a solid hour, at the end of which - like the final crescendo in a cacophonic orchestral number - they shattered a glass on the floor. From what I hear, this summarizes the intriguing vibe of the Wine Bar at Vintner Valley: very few college students, a number of young professionals, and a healthy dose of 40+ men and women looking for a classy joint with prices high enough to hold WVU students at arm's length. I'll be back to try their pizza, or at least their cheeses, which looked impressive.

The Wine Bar is a cute and spacious spot to wind down. There is a limited happy hour menu and an extensive wine list. If you're looking for a calm atmosphere where you can actually hear conversations without having to yell over loud music or obnoxious drunks, this is the place you're looking for. There are tables with high chairs and several couches with low tables to sit down at if you're in a group. There is also a separate room on the side with an extended dining table if you have a large party in your group. The menu is pretty nifty, and you can see what dining options are available on a electronic Samsung tablet! I've come here on several occasions with friends, but only can give 2 stars because each time it took a long, long time to get the check or a drink, and due to the limited menu selections that do not accommodate for dietary restrictions. I also do not drink alcohol, and the servers have never offered any non-alcoholic beverage options that are available..so I usually end up ordering a soda for which the last 2 times I've come to the Wine Bar, I had to wait over 15 minutes for while everyone else got their bottles. The menu ranges from pastas to steak to baked brie to pizzas and nuts and cheese plates. There is also a variety of salads. Unfortunately, I can never eat anything here because they do not have anything that is dairy-free. If you have allergies or are on a restricted diet, I highly recommend eating before coming here because the staff were not very knowledgeable about my inquiries on specific ingredients and kept thinking I was unable to eat gluten despite the fact I had mentioned numerous times I am unable to eat dairy, dairy-by products and seafood. I was not offered any alternative options when I was unable to eat anything off the menu, and the server did not seem very inclined to help me with my dining/snacking options. Typically, I have found that in other cities, establishments such as these, the chef will offer to make something a la carte/off the menu to accommodate allergies. Otherwise, this is really a great place to get a drink with friends in a nice atmosphere.

Cheese & Charcuterie Plate - Mimolette cheese, Piave cheese, Bresaola, Pepper Butt - My friends and I came here for a bday get together. I am not a wine drinker so I opted for beer instead. They had beers that no where else in Morgantown had so that was refreshing. Food wise I myself ordered the Cheese & Charcuterie Plate - Mimolette cheese, Piave cheese, Bresaola, Pepper Butt which was good. I was also able to taste my friends Onions and banana peppers which tasted awesome BUT let me warn you its HOT for most people. I was also able to try to Margherita Pizza which was good, but I added the onion, banana pepper mix to it and it was AMAZING! Our waiter told us that we could basically put ANYTHING on the menu on the pizza. The prices were fair and the orders were a good size. Definitely worth a visit!

I thought the food was great. Flavorful and large portion sizes. The wine list is also a decent size. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. It has lounge seating, table seating, and bar seating. So I think it'll work for a range of functions. It even has a little cove that would work for a group of about 16 people. Truly look forward to visiting this place again.

The menus at the Wine Bar are tablets, which is really cool, despite being slightly at odds with the vintage ambiance. The tablets are incredibly user friendly, and if you can't work the tablet, don't worry; the staff is fairly attentive (at least at 5:00 on a Thursday). The seating is fairly comfortable, but there is not enough table space if your entire party wants their own pizza. The wait staff will bring additional pizza stands to accommodate for this, but someone's pizza will always be in peril if you move too fast. The pizza is great though. You can customize yours in a variety of different ways and they're all delicious. I can attest to this because my entire party of five got different pizzas and we all shared. Also, the sangria is lovely.

My husband and I ate dinner here tonight. I ordered the white sangria to drink. It tasted like ginger ale and lacked flavor. Would not recommend the white sangria! They said it was a new drink item on the menu. So I concluded maybe they haven't "mastered" the technique yet. We ordered a cheese plate for an appetizer ... Gouda, Pepper jack and Swiss yarlesburg. Delicious! I got the hot stuffed peppers as my meal. They were yummy! For Dessert: The chocolate ricotta cheesecake was wonderful! Small in portion but rich in flavor!

Pretty small place but a cool atmosphere. Excellent wine selection (of course its a wine bar). The pizza was ok. Vintage rooms pizza is much better. The meatballs were good. Cheese plate was excellent. Overall nothing rocked my world but its nice to have this place on this side of town. I will be back and try additional dishes.

Five stars for a Morgantown restaurant. (would be 4.5 in a larger city) Finally got the chance to have dinner here. It was a Friday night, so as expected, pretty packed. Kind of loud, but that's to be expected. Nice, warm atmosphere. We sat at the bar. Bartenders/servers were excellent. Very friendly and attentive - something I've really come to appreciate in Morgantown given the all too often poor/lazy service at many places. Great wine selection at fair prices. (still, restaurant prices of course) The food is mostly smaller, appetizer sized, but the quality if good, and you can tell the kitchen takes care in preparing. We had an excellent cheese plate, the classic bruschetta, and the margherita pizza. All were very good, and the bottle of Bourdeaux was excellent. Left feeling like it was well worth what we paid, and left satisfied with a nice dining experience. Very different from the usual 'ripped-off/unappreciated' feeling I've come away with after eating at other local "higher end dining" spots like Madeleine's, Golden Finch, Lira, etc...

The servers are very knowledgeable and friendly. It's just that the atmosphere seems very snooty (for Morgantown)-- this is where the rich and famous people of Morgantown magically appear. It's really weird. But if you know a lot about wine and cheese, you'd enjoy this place more than I did.

Delicious food, good wine selection and the nicest bartenders. Have had the pizza and the meatballs both of which were excellent.
