Its just like any other Olive garden, great food-I have always loved their bread sticks, nice beverages (I had the Ice tea, but they do have a good wine selection as well), and the desserts are delicious. I was however somewhat disappointed by our server, who seemed like he was in a bit too much of a rush. First he forgot my Ice tea and I had to remind him about it. Then when the time came to order desserts, my coworker ordered his and our server didn't give me a chance to place my own order and I had to flag him down again. Also, anytime that I have had to box part of my meal at an Olive Garden before, they have always given me a bag to carry it and a few bread stick as well, however I was not given either of those this time. Overall though Olive Garden is a really nice place and I hope that this was just an isolated incident with the server.

So, we decided to go out to dinner at Olive Garden tonight thinking it might be better then we both had experienced previously and boy were we surprised. It hadn't changed at all. The decor was a disaster, the place had flies all over, and even the dishes were dirty. The food was an even greater tragedy. We ordered the artichoke dip for an appetizer and I didn't even think you could make it bland, but O.G. managed to do it. The stuff had no flavor, the bread was soft and over all just unpleasant beginning. Our salads were served next and lets just say the lettuce was old and the croutons were so over cooked you could barely stab it with a fork. Next was our entree's and mine was the Venetian Apricot Chicken which actually was not atrocious. The flavor was good but the chicken was pretty dry. If you didn't coat it in sauce it probably wouldn't even go down my throat. The broccoli had a weird after taste and the asparagus was a tad undercooked. Then came Vinny's meal. He ordered the Eggplant Parmesan and OMG! was it a disaster. There was zero eggplant in the dough and some of them were like hockey pucks while some were so soft they wouldn't even stay on the fork. His pasta was way undercooked and some just felt super hard. We told the waitress about his meal and the general manager, Don came over and asked if Vinny would like something else. So here comes the calamari and it was rubbery and full of grease. You could tell everything was frozen and then reheated. The breading wasn't even coated evenly and it was just a mess. After entree number 2 we were done. The general manager was good enough to comp us for the appetizer and Vinny's 2 entrees, but I don't think either of us will be making a second trip to Olive Garden in the near future. Note to self: When entering a supposed "Italian" restaurant, do not proceed to be seating if they are playing Jazz music in the background.

Good food, good service and I found a place to park! Three for three!! No kidding, this area of the University Town Center is ALWAYS conjested. The Red Lobster and Olive Garden sort of share a parking lot/entrance, so sometimes it's tricky. Thanks to my super-tiny compact rental car and a sharp eye from my niece, we zipped into a spot in the front! This Olive Garden is clean and well operated. I was pleased with the serve we received. Our server was courteous and thorough, but seemed rushed and a teeny tiny bit impatient. Just a tiny bit though, and everyone has days like that, so no worries. I ordered the Capellini Di Mare and it was delicious! It's the second time I've ordered this dish because it's one of their 'lower fat' selections and it's got seafood. And while I'm in love with their lasagna, this chick's gotta watch her intake :). Kudos to this Olive Garden! Being in such a busy area full of college students and traffic isn't easy. I'm a fan!

Well ended up trying it again, but again it was bad! waitress was very good, we had a appetizer spinach artichoke, no flavor to cheesy and then I ordered eggplant parm, it was cut in to circles very thin and to top it one peace was soft the other was hard and I was frozen crap not Even eggplant It was under cook looked raw inside ( like bits of fish) the pasta was undercooked as well sauce was bland then the waitress was sorry for the food but I told her it was not your fault. then I tried the calamari and it taste like rubber and the bread was was very thin coating and it was flaking off and you could see it was out of a frozen bag. to top it of it was very dirty in there, the cooks have no passion for what there doing b/c the plates messing plating sauce all over the sides of the plates & calamari bowls. but the manger did comp the app and my 2 entrees. the only thing that was good was the beer! (will never return here hear.)

Went there last night with my husband about 7:45 pm they close at 10pm.We were seated quickly. Our waitress must have been in a hurry because we felt very rushed! We had just both put salad in our bowls took 2 bites and out came our entrees. So we started to eat our entrees so they wouldn't get cold, but they were luke warm at best! Then our waitress proceeded to sit in a booth a few feet away from us with a manager and gossip, laugh and talk very loud!!! So rude! It's been more then 5 years since I have been to any Olive garden. I'm italian american and grew up eating and cooking authentic italian food....so I'm a bit of a italian cuisine snob! lol Honestly the salad and bread sticks were better then our entrees. Our entrees tasted like a frozen buttoni meal from the store. I'm glad we paid for our meals with gift cards! I will not be going back.

I came here a few weeks ago with my family on a Friday night. I would definitely recommend reservations if you're going during weekend peak dinner hours since pretty much every restaurant in the mall area (University Town Center) gets swamped with people. Expect a 30-45 minute wait otherwise. The food was OK, but the service could have been better. Right after we got seated, the hostess party-fouled and spilled a cup of water all over our table. She was really nice and prompt with the cleanup, but it just kinda set the tone for the rest of the night. Our waiter was very curt and unengaging and apparently is incapable of smiling. It always felt like we were bothering him whenever we asked for refills etc. I ordered the steak alfredo; the alfredo sauce wasn't very creamy and the steaks were pretty dry. I might've just had a bad individual experience because the table next to us had a pretty lively waitress and seemed to enjoy their food, but the next time I'm in the area I think I'll just go to Cheddar's across the street instead. The food is tastier, and it comes at half the price.

This Olive Garden is my least favorite one that I've eaten at anf I've eaten at several around the country. The food is average on a good day and the service is always terrible. I chalk that up to the student work force that businesses in the Motgantown area area are forced to depend upon.

I have eaten here several times and the food is always good. The menu is a little short on selection in my opinion and the prices are high for pasta dishes.however, service is excellent and the salad and breadsticks are very good.I would recommend this place to anybody wanting Italian food.

We have tried OG over and over again in different locations and I think we're finished with it. We went as a group of 10 this last time. Luckily I made reservations because the wait was almost 40 minutes, and usually is for some reason. I don't think the food is worth waiting for so make a reservation to save yourself the dissapointment, We were seated with our friends who arrived earlier than us, then the waiting started. It was a good 10 to 15 minutes before we were asked for our drink order. Which was asked by standing at the farthest side of the table and having us yell it to her through the loud crowded resraurant. The wait for the drinks was an another 15 minutes. In the meantime nothing was given to sate us such as breads sticks or a round of waters. After the drinks arrived we shouted the rest of our order to the waitress that too lazy to walk around the table, then waited another 15 minutes for our salads and straws. Still no breadsitcks until the salads finally arrived. So we were waiting at a tabke without anything to nibble on for about 45 minutes. Make sure you make reservations, you could be waiting a long time starving. The breads sticks ended up being as hard and dry as a rock. We're not sure what happened there. It's like they changed their recipe. Our waitress then only saw to our half of the table once the entire night. We received a single drink refill and no offering of cheese for any of our salads before she dissapeared. The only way we can describe OG's entrées is that they try too hard. The favors are way too bold, and the sauces are way too thick. It's like all the flavor of an hors d'oeuvre as an entire entrée, making it very overpowered. A couple of our entrées seemed to have gotten cross contaminated with ingredients from other meals. Stray noodles that didn't belong, a bit of meat in a soup that didn't resemble the rest and a sauce that should have been translucent being opaque and tasting off. My stuffed chicken marsala was very overcooked and thus dry. If it wasn't for the sauce and mashed potatoes I wouldn't have been able to swallow it. And then the check came. We placed our 2 together in one book with our card. The guests across the table did the same with theirs with a $6 off coupon. Somehow our checks were charged to their card with their coupon and our card was used to pay for theirs. Luckily they were similar costs and I just made up the difference to our friends with cash from my wallet.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
