My fav Chinese food in Morgantown. Nice staff and lightening fast wait times (most often less than 5 minutes, if they're not busy). My favorite dish is the Chicken & Broccoli. You should try it. ^_^

This experience was by far the worst experience I've had with any food in Mortantown. When I called to place an order the person I talked to said that their food wasn't chineese, and that it sucks. For a worker to say that it must mean something. But I heard good things about great Wall so I still ordered something. The food was chewy, like rubber and lacked flavor. They might as well have made their food with tire rubber. They even botched the rice. it was dry, undercooked and cold. For the sake of the food gods do NOT get food from this place. It's a sad excuse for a Chinese restaurant, they don't even have chopsticks.

Ordered a pretty good cross section of food; noodles, fried rice, meat and vegetarian. Everything was terrible. So bad it was laughable. Definitely worth going down to Lavender Cafe on Beechhurst or anywhere else. Walk if you have to.

The food here is usually pretty good and I used to love this place and go there somewhat frequently. What turned me off was finding a rock in my chicken lo mein.

This place used to be the best place for Chinese in Morgantown. That was a long time ago. It is not near as good as it used to be and I have tried them many times. Their food is very inconsistent and some times just down right bad. What a shame because we only live a couple minutes away.

I really had high hopes for Great Wall. It's rare you find a Chinese takeout place with such high Yelp reviews. And when it comes to ordering from a Chinese takeout, the performance and difficulty is to be expected - so I won't comment on that part of the experience. My fiancé and I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, which was incredibly priced for the portion size ($8.65 for 8 oz. of chicken and enough white rice for two). Here's what we received in actuality: 8 oz. of chicken nuggets, a container of overcooked rice, and a separate container of sweet and sour sauce with chunks of what I hope to God were pineapple slices. My instinct, based on my decidedly unadventurous spirit when it comes to Asian cuisine, was to order the General Tso's. If I were to give Great Wall another shot, I would use the General as my litmus test, as I have so many times in the past. Nonetheless, given our disappointment, I can't see myself going that route again. For its poor quality chicken nuggets, however, I need to point out some positives. First of all, their website is impressive and easy to navigate, including a full menu with descriptions. Second of all, their location is nice and central. I'm not saying that Great Wall is worse than other Chinese joints in the area - in fact, it might be better than most - but that "better than most" rating doesn't mean a lot, I'm afraid.

Always hot and fresh! Our business always orders from them during the week and even though we are pretty far away, they still deliver to us. Great service and great food, can't complain :)

This is my go-to Chinese restaurant in Morgantown and has been for 2 years. I love the sesame chicken w/ fried rice and always ask for extra broccoli. The only thing I don't like is that they never take your name when you order and rarely do they thank you, so suffice it to say the service is not amazing. BUT, the portions are generous and always ready within 10 minutes, most times within 5 minutes. Love this place and highly recommend it.

As far as Chinese food in Morgantown goes, this one is the best. The food is always good and delivered in a quick fashion. Would recommend it to anyone.

Great. The food is tasty and orders are always ready in ~5 minutes and always correct. Just don't order the crab rangoon. It's the only item I've tried that has been really, really awful.

I love Great Wall, if only because everything is ready within 10 minutes & it's dirt cheap. My favorite take-out Chinese food in Morgantown!

Large portions at extremely reasonable prices. When I'm in the mood for Americanized Chinese, this is my first choice. The General Tso's and the Hunan Beef are my go-to choices, and they have never disappointed. It should be noted that I have only ordered delivery from Great Wall; I have never actually been to the restaurant, but the delivery is always timely.

Surprisingly good chinese food in the middle of West Virginia. Chinese people actually work here which makes it even more authentic. We were there on their grand opening of the new location. It's across the street from the old location and has seating - probably 8 or so booths. Got the mooshu pork, curry dish, hunan combination - all were very tasty and we had big portions. I think this will soon be a hit with the college students.

Generic Chinese-American food. Greasy goodness. No more, no less.

I went to Great Wall with my husband and while the food was indeed fast, it wasn't that cheap and it was seriously bland. The kind of bland that no amount of soy or hot sauce can fix. I got the vegetable fried rice and you could tell they literally pulled the baby carrots and water chestnuts out of the can and put them on top of the rice, which was dry and had no flavor. It tasted like they tossed some rice with already cooked egg and some MSG and called it a day. Maybe my Chinese standards are a little high, but even for Americanized chinese food this was bad. It was defintely not worth the $18.

This is probably my favorite Chinese food place in Morgantown. I think they have the best food. They are super quick and you get a ton of food in a large order.

Excellent for take out Chinese food. Very fast and accurate orders. Excellent specials. Not the best crab rangoon in town, I'm told. Online ordering works very well!

Ahh, the Great Wall. Best wonton soup and sesame chicken in Mo'town. Ladies at the counter are friendly. Fast service, reasonable prices. If you are downtown, I'd recommend.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
