Absolutely amazing food.. Everything was delicious and had wonderful flavor. The curried chicken changed my life. We were coming through town to hit a triathalon nearby and were a little underdressed. Felt a bit out of place, but the food was worth it:) Make sure if you stop in Lewisburg, you hit this place!

I had a great lunch at Stardust today. The hostess was warm and friendly on my arrival. The lunch menu is pretty standard lunch fair - salad and sandwich options. I had the soup of the day, a southwestern chicken soup and a BLT. The soup was thinner than I expected so more like a bisque than a soup. However, despite my initial dismay it was really good! It had great flavor, chicken chunks and just enough spice. The BLT was also different from expected as it was made of bacon bits and not strips. I was again pleasantly surprised. They were more than generous with the bacon bits and the flavor of the sandwich was great. The only drawbacks in my experience: 1) I was alone so I sat at the bar. However, the bar seats are definitely too low for the height of the bar. I heard another diner make a comment about this as well. 2) I wish there had been some sort of soup and 1/2 sandwich or soup/salad combination. Minor worries, in the context of a really great lunch.

Delicious burger from Swift-level Farms. I'd say one of the better places for lunch in Lburg. Totally recommend.

Long wait for food. Would not divide check between three couples. Meals were only average. Will not go back and cannot recommend it to others.

Hit or slight miss. I must say on the right day you can experience the best burger in town here (make sure to add the avocado) but if certain staff isn't working then it can be somewhat mediocre. The tortilla rounds as side with sandwiches made me scratch my head at first but I'm good with them now.

Just wanted to add a 5-star to all the other great reviews of this place. Great concept, really well executed with lots of love and attention to detail that shines through in everything. Even though we were only stopping in for half a meal as we drove through Lewisburg the staff treated us as well as those in other restaurants might treat someone spending five or ten times as much. A really good experience.

Wonderful place to go! We stopped in on our way home from visiting family for the holidays. Will definitely make this a regular pit stop! Great ambiance, and the food is top notch.

Wow! This small town cafe is remarkable, and I didn't even get to try dessert or the beer selection, both of which looked very tasty. They have plenty of wine, I can see dozens of selections from my seat. Our table was an old wooden door with a glass covering. The ambiance was perfect. Track lighting highlights the beautiful art selections on the walls, and Japanese lanterns run throughout the rest of the cafe. The food? Their Trust Me Salad was featured in Southern Living, dare I say more? The food is locally sourced and as organic as they can make it. The tomatoes were AMAZING. The salad had a wonderful dressing and a great mixture of greens, avocado, dried cranberries, goat cheese, and nuts. The depth of flavor was fabulous. Even though we came in 10 minutes before the establishment closed before their dinner prep, they were very courteous and took wonderful care of our party of five anyway. Two thumbs up for Lewisburg, Virginia. You are on my best small towns to stop in for lunch list now.

Good service Good food! Was a little pricey and I was a tad bit disappointed with the tuna but it was still delish!

Delish! Cozy, always packed but great service. Good selection of wines.

Didn't live up to the hype. Our server wasn't friendly at all. "Best" BLT ever is subjective. Trust me salad was fine but nothing special. Maybe our expectations were too high.

I love a restaurant that truly adopts the Slow Food mentality. This is it! The Stardust Cafe, with its smallish dining room, casual waitstaff, and delightful menu defines "southern cafe." I strongly recommend the naked burger ($11.95). It's "bunless" and made with grass fed beef, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion, sweet red onions, bread n' butter pickles, and homemade blue cheese dressing. The beef was fresh and rich in flavor, but it was the avocado that blew me away. I was torn because I wanted others to experience it, but hated to lose a bite. Others in my party enjoyed their salads and sandwiches. Indeed, all were pleased. The staff gleefully accommodated the young ones in our group with their "particular" palates. Anyway, the Stardust Cafe ranks high on my list of places to eat. My only disappointment? I don't get to Lewisburg often enough to enjoy it!

This little cafe serves the most delicious, fresh, and generously portioned food! I have brought out of state visitors there every chance I get. Try the Everything Salad, or the Naked Burger salad. Crunchy greens, fresh tomatoes, ripe avocados..the bread is to die for too! Their farm fresh burger really wakes up your taste buds to ask "what have you been feeding me?" Cozy environment. Great staff. Go, go, go

I look forward to eating at the Stardust Cafe when I visit from CA. The food is delicious, with an emphasis on fresh, local, farm-to-table dining. It's a little pricy, but the quality is evident in every bite--you won't be disappointed!! Make reservations--the dining room is small-ish and it's a popular place.

Based on a recommendation from one of the gallery owners, we decided to give this place a try for dinner. I called to see if they had a corkage fee (we had a good bottle of wine we really wanted to drink that night) and I was told that they didn't allow outside liquor. She informed me they had an extensive wine list we could choose from instead. As it turned out, we were rather disappointed to find out their list of cabs was very small and they were out of 2 different bottles that we asked about. This cast a negative light on the evening for sure. Hubby had the pork shank and thought it was a solid dish - nothing special, but it was good quality. I had the chicken and spinach entree and it was good, but lacked seasonings. We decided to try the chocolate torte for dessert and once again it was good, but would have been great with a little raspberry sauce on top. I was impressed that all of the plating was done with intention and creativity. Hubby thought the coffee was very good. Obviously, we were a little disappointed with our overall experience, but I would probably try them for lunch if we were back in the area.

We stopped here on our way home from Snowshoe. This place is amazing! A fantastic find! The service was great, and the food was awesome. We had tuna, clams, steak, chicken curry, and a few other dishes, all extraordinary. We were very full but had to have desserts too! If you are anywhere near Lewisburg...you must eat here!

Absolutely amazing burger cooked to order. Great service. A bit pricey but I will return.

Wow! What a great random discovery. I don't normally go naked when it comes to burgers, but the flavor and quality of the meat stood up to a lack of bun. Add some greens, avocado and local tomatoes and I was all set . A delicious and I think fairly healthy choice . The whole menu looked intriguing.

Fresh local fare with flair! Small and charming atmosphere. The Naked Burger was cooked to order and magical.

Everything was outstanding tonight. Showed up thirty minutes before my reservation and we were seated right away. We had two servers looking after us and both were attentive and knowledge. The evening's special, filet medallions and shrimp over potatoes, was insanely delicious. Our primary server, Rebecca, really knocked it out of the park. Not to mention she looks like an ANTM contestant.

What a wonderful little place in an old historic town! We were staying up the road at the Greenbrier, and like most guests, after enjoying the Greenbrier, we struck out to have lunch and do some shopping in this quaint little town. Although we'd been told that Stella's was a nice place for lunch, a local suggested Stardust. As we walked up, it didn't look like much, but inside it was a wonderful gem of a place! Salads and sandwiches were unique and fresh and the atmosphere perfect for enjoying the locally sourced food with friends and family. We went back the next day again! Skip Stella's and visit Stardust.

Great interior and atmosphere in an old butcher shop but I found the food somewhat overpriced and in general wanting. The dessert I had, the lemon tart, was alright but very small and not what I would really call exceptional--and they're known for their desserts. In fact, the Stardust is considered possibly the best desserts in Lewisburg. The grilled cheese sandwich I had was ok, but I've had far better in the department of "innovative" grilled cheese sandwiches. I would recommend Stardust I guess overall--it's cute and the service is prompt--but it's not quite on the level I'd really expected.

I will start out with the caveat that our visit included children, which this place VERY clearly doesn't cater to or accommodate in any way, while the food (for adults only) was interesting and at times flavorful, the service lacked a lot to be desired. ATMOSPHERE: Clean, white, and small. There were maybe 10 to 12 tables which had very uncomfortable wooden chairs, and sitting at the too high tables I felt a bit like a toddler, which is saying A LOT because I'm almost 6' tall... the bistro's main feature is the bakery case, where you can oogle whatever's fresh that day. FOOD: Be prepared, the menu is limited, and they won't do special orders or anything from other menus (i.e. dinner for lunch, lunch for dinner). You get what you get, and you don't throw a fit. 1 - Italiano Panino - Pretty nifty, actually. The sausage tasted house made or close enough to it, and the oregano vinaigrette was a nice touch. 2 - Gullino Panino - Also a nice find, for an adult. The chicken breast is really well seasoned, not the typical flat, bland breast you get on many "chicken sandwich" orders. The provolone and pesto add a good flavor, and the ciabatta is really yummy. 3 - ???? - Why the mystery, you ask? It's because my poor unsuspecting kids had nothing on the menu that they wanted to eat. Try serving pesto sauce to a 4 and 6 year old - it looks a little like Linda Blair in the Exorcist --- yeah, you know the scene. COME ON, really? We ended up with a really odd hodge podge of cheese / bread in a pretty crappy grilled cheese like sandwich that neither ate, and their unhappiness was contagious. Add that in to a REALLY, REALLY long wait, and it's a recipe for disaster. SERVICE: Almost unbelievably nonchalant. Our "order taker", note, she did not serve so I can't call her server, was more interested in tables she knew than helping us out. On the dinner menu is plenty of pasta options, and yet she refused to allow us to order even buttered noodles for the kids. It was almost 20 minutes until she took our order, as she was meandering between tables chatting. Not a good combo with kids, and yet, she didn't We told her we were in a bit of a hurry, and it didn't matter to her at all. care. When our order was finally in, it took more than 30 minutes to get the food (we're now almost an hour in with squirmy kids). Very frustrating... while their motto is "leisurely dining", I'm not sure how pre-made sauces (good as they were) and sausage gives you license to take more than 10 minutes to deliver. VALUE: Reasonable, given the food quality. The issue here is not value, it's timing, and their apparent inability to be flexible and / or cater to a younger audience. Out of 5 stars, for us, they lose one for having absolutely zero options for children, one for terrible service, and one for the outrageously long time we waited to eat. Bottom line, if you have children under 12, choose something else, anything else. If you don't, and you're looking to kill an hour or two somewhere, this is a great little find for adults.

Walked in and bought a slice of cake. They called it Birthday Cake (pink icing) When the clerk was ringing it up I could have sworn she said "that'll be two sixty". Handed the slice (16 of them by the way on the cake) to my daughter and signed the credit card slip only to read $10.60 on the slip! Are you kidding me? That thing was a $170 cake that wasn't much better than a Tastycake. I talked to several folks outside and none of them would have expected that kind of ripoff inside. As they say, fool me once...

A refreshing change. Not one for organic style food, but I think I'm a convert. Lunch menu has a good variety of salads & sandwiches. Service, even though the place was full, was good. Timeliness good. Presentation good. Quality excellent. When checking out, one of the owners, Sparrow, made sure we were satisfied. She then excitedly told us that she & husband purchased the very famous General Lewis Restaurant & Inn, in Lewisburg. How exciting is that? And, yes they will keep The Stardust Cafe`. With their experience & customer savy, they can't help but succeed.

I had lunch there recently. I had an incredibly good salad. It was romaine lettuce with warm basmatti rice, warm curry sauce, avocado, tomatoes, peppers, chicken and a balsamic vinaigrette on the side. I know it sounds strange but it was delicious. I usually stay away from chicken in restaurants because it is often served dry. This chicken was very moist. The food is local farm fare. It was clean and tastefully decorated. The service was excellent.

This place is healthy and happy. The down to earth vibe and herbaceous food is something I wish I had back at home. The bread in the paninis is flavorful and the veggies are seasoned well. Prices are very reasonable. Best thing about it is that you can read about the history in the menu. The food is locally grown because they are committed to their community and patrons!

Great little cafe in a small WV town. Four of us had a great lunch there yesterday. Super service, moderate prices and outstanding sandwiches. A must stop when visiting the Greenbrier or just traveling on Interstate 64.

Over priced for what you get. Tiny side salad, if you can call it that. We shared two appetizers, "the Semolina" and "the Mediterranean." Those were decent but they were really stingy on the balsamic reduction they put on both of those, the best part. The homemade ricotta was lacking in flavor or salt or something. The burger came out with corn chips that appeared to be out of a cheap bag from the grocery store. No fries. The $10 dark chocolate torte dessert was a morsel. While it was tasty, it was completely too small to share. At least the place was cute and the Petit Syrah was a good bang for the buck. Service was friendly.

Wow! Who'd ever thought a bistro with 31 (now 32) Yelp reviews would exist in a small city like Lewisburg? I'm not making fun of the restaurant or of Lewisburg here, but I am astounded by the number of reviews. As another Yelper points out, the place is located in an old shop and the atmosphere here is very inviting. Rick and I stopped in here after a morning of sightseeing and general strolling around Lewisburg. We too found the place to be quite bustling on a weekday afternoon. I looked at the soups (which feature veggies and herbs from their own gardens) and they looked mighty tempting. But I didn't want to feel too full 'cos we had more sightseeing to do later. I went for the chicken salad, which mind you was no chicken from a mix served on iceberg lettuce. No this was served on a bed of mixed greens with lemon basil pesto and feta cheese. This was a salad to savor! Hubby Rick went for the Grilled 3 Cheese Sandwich on ciabatta bread. That sandwich looked and smelled so good, maybe I should have had that! He washed that down with a couple of microbrews. Stardust has an extensive beer & wine list, but I'm a non-drinker so I couldn't tell you what's on it. Stardust features sustainably raised local meats and produce, but even if you're not "green", believe me--there's a world of difference in taste. Stardust is a little pricey and two people could easily drop fifty bucks on lunch. But it's well worth it and hey, we're on vacation!

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining here last night. First, the service was top notch! We didn't have a reservation, but the hostess juggled a few tables and told us she would have something available in about twenty minutes. When we returned, we found more stellar service all the way around. The atmosphere is quite nice. It is small, but not crowded and the aromas from the kitchen were amazing. My wife had the Argentinian Grilled Chicken Chimichurri and I had the steak. Everything was delicious! Fresh, organic ingredients. Farm to table type place. I really enjoyed that our courses were spread out. It was a no rush dinner. The food was out of this world, but it was also a great experience. Wonderful wine list as well. Nothing but great things to say. Will most certainly be back next time we pass through town!!!

Blown away to find this gem tucked away in the Appalachian mountains! Brought a party of 15 in for dinner and between all of us, we tried most items on the dinner menu. Everyone of us raved about our dishes. The pork shank was the favorite of the table followed by the curry chicken. The clams and Mediterranean plate were both hits as starters. As for dessert, the spice cake with toffee sauce had one of our group lean back in her chair and drop an F Bomb in delight! The service was impeccable and I wish I knew the name of the awesome girl who took care of us because she truly made the experience perfect. The next day, our group met back at Stardust for lunch to sample their lunch menu. We were so happy to have the same server from the night before and hope we did not tire her out on round two :) the Naked Burger was fantastic. So was our second helping of desserts!!! Don't pass up a chance to stop and enjoy this restaurant. The choice of ingredients, thoughtful preparation of food and welcoming atmosphere will not disappoint. Thank you Stardust Cafe!

I never leave bad reviews so this is a first for me. I've eaten at Stardust off and on since it opened so I know walking in the door it will be pricey, loud, and the service is slow. I'm usually fine with it, the food is good. Today however was the last time I will go in there. My sister and I went for lunch and the dining room is full. Its a small place. We got seated and the waitresses took our drink order. She comes back to take our food order but hasn't brought our drinks. We ordered iced tea. We asked for another minute or two. She comes back with drinks and takes our order, we got salads. We usually like this place and know it's not quick service. 45 minutes later, we asked about our salads, we were told there were 4 tables ahead of ours. That's unacceptable as far as I'm concerned. The server offered to Bump us in front of the other tickets. That isn't fair to the other patrons so we declined. We canceled our order and went elsewhere. Its sad too because I like the food but 45 minutes for salads and poor service isn't worth it especially since Lewisburg has an abundance of nice restaurants.

Surprised? Yes I was! We were on a road trip & quite tired of eating at chains. The food was fresh & delicious. Although they do not have a kids menu, my kids shared a burger. No complaints there, 5 minutes later that burger was gone! The service wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best either. I never got a soup I ordered so I was a little disappointed and it just felt a little rushed. All in all you won't be disappointed everything we tried was great!

The food and atmosphere are awesome! I ordered the zucchini that was cut into spaghetti strands. Delicious. My husband ordered the chicken on a bed of spinach nest and it was equally as good. The pasta was delicious..my kids had it with butter. They also serve wine fizzies....very good and different. The locals there seem to view the place as expensive, but after staying at the Greenbrier, it seemed pretty reasonable to us.

Chose from Yelp reviews as passing visitors. Found it OK but prices are more in line with great. Service personnel friendly. Food presentation very good. Food quality just fair. Menu interesting. Overall, seems to be over-reaching but may have small town niche.

So I finally paid a visit to the Greenbiar area of West Virginia and while it was just an overnight visit, I did get to see a lot in the town of Lewisburg, WVa which by the way was voted on Yahoo.com as the the "coolest town in the USA" for 2011. Though I found it quaint and cute, coolest is probably something I'd realize if I stayed longer than 24 hours. The place I had lunch at was Stardust. Though reviews here and locals in that town indicated it was great food, many indicated it was over priced for what you go and even a local dinner restaurant patrons indicated they cooked with George Foreman grills....which isn't true, but at a quick glance I could see how that joke got started. The place is small, quaint and the servers good considering only 2 were on the floor covering all the tables. There was only 1 table available so we took it though it needed it to be cleaned and the server just wiped off the food onto the floor......and after looking on the floor I could tell this was being done throughout lunch as the dark floor was covered with little bits of food that was constantly being crushed by the foot traffic. The place was packed at lunch and the menu was interesting. For me it was a BLT and it was good. I threw in a beer and the meal was good and though I didn't try the desserts I think I would have been pleased. All and all a cute place that is a good lunch place if you find yourself in the "coolest town for 2011 in the USA" *wink*

This time my boyfriend and I both had the Guillano Panino. I love it! I have a hard time ordering anything else. The flavors and textures are sheer perfection! If they offer the black and white bean salad with it, I suggest it! We had the sticky toffee (aka caramel date cake) for dessert. Wow. The flavors were so complex, and the sauce was amazing! But, be warned, it was $12! I highly recommend this cafe. We're locals and frequent it. I have yet to have anything I didn't like. Plus, a lot of their ingredients are locally grown and organic, including their meats. Go, you won't regret it :)

I went to the Stardust Cafe for lunch on a late Saturday afternoon after a long drive from Pittsburgh. BEST HAMBURGER EVER!!! I generally avoid red meat, don't buy it, but on rare occasions crave it. When I read that the meat was from grass-fed cows I decided to give it a try. AMAZING... I can't wait to return to this lovely cafe for my next meal when I'm back in Lewisburg and order some of the vegetarian fare and delicious looking desserts. I think I've found my favorite place to eat. In addition to my meal, the service was superb, the atmosphere wonderful, and the price right. This cafe is obviously a labor of love--thank you for your offering--what a treasure!

Wonderful fresh, farm to table food. We lucked into the place as we were passing thru. The bartender at The Irish Pub across the street recommended it. The best local, grass fed ribeye I've had in years.

A delightful find - grateful to Yelp for this one. We had just spent $75 to eat breakfast at the Greenbrier and decided to go off property for lunch. Stardust cafe came up on my yelp app for Lewisburg so we decided to give it a try. When we walked in around 2 pm on a Friday afternoon the restaurant was full. There were two salads sitting out the counter waiting to out to a table - and they looked delicious. I think it was the first time EVER that my mouth was watering over a salad! I had the Lemon pesto salad. The chicken breast was perfectly cooked, lots of leafy greens, a summer ripe tomato, pesto and some other dressing on the side. The folks I was with had a burger - which looked and smelled amazing. My other friend had the BLT with Goat cheese; not your average BLT to be sure, but with all the flavors, it was like nothing I ever tasted before. The chef cooks everything on a George Foreman Type Grill and a Panini press - I'm not sure how he works that magic, but he does. It's not a cheap meal - salad was $12 and burgers were 10 or 11, but everything was fresh and skillfully prepared. We will go back next time we are at the Greenbrier.

Nice, fresh, New American fare, at fair prices. Probably a godsend in this processed and frozen ingredient neck of the American woods. I had a quiche-of-the-day appetizer, which was plated with a substantial salad. I would have ordered differently if I'd known about the quiche salad. But for my main course, I had the Ahi salad. Not hugely remarkable, but very good and fresh, with a spicy wasabi dressing and sprinkled with sesame seeds. The Ahi salad came with a thin slice of fresh, air-bepocketed bread. I don't usually go for sandwiches, but maybe I'll make an exception next time I'm at Stardust. Service was a bit below par. Slow. But maybe I have to adjust to area tempo. Didn't bring any tipping singles with change. Food 8 + ambiance 7 + value 7 + service 4 = overall 7.3 /10 (good)

Not a review but a suggestion. Please put a "Hours of Operation" on your website to make it easier for your customers to see when you are open. It is Sunday, I'd like to make a reservation for tonight. No one is answering your phone and I can't find if you are open tonight or not any where on the web.

If you're visiting Lewisburg, try this place out. The food is great, with a unique menu and extra quality put into each course. The quality of the ingredients are second to none, and the serving dishes are also beautiful. What I don't enjoy about the restaurant is the style of serving -- you have to sit down, and be waited on. I didn't like the fact that, even sitting at the bar, I had trouble getting my cup refilled. I had a delicious sandwich, and good luck finding this type of sandwich anywhere else. It was a panini, with an herb crusted homemade-quality bread, stuffed with grilled apple slices, caramelized onions, and crispy bacon. You have to taste it to believe it, because it was fantastic.

We have always enjoyed Stardust Cafe but based upon our experience Saturday evening, something is out of step there. Although I had called earlier in the week and was assured a table in the front of the restaurant, the person who met us at the door was planning to take us to the middle of the restaurant until I asked her to seat us at the open table in the front. Apparently no note of my request on the reservation. We were seated and proceeded to review the menu and make our selections. The Veggie Marinara was not available that evening because the zucchini was not appropriate for the dish. Two of us substituted pasta and thought all was good. No, the waitress returned and said that they didn't have salmon for the evening. (why were these items even on the menu?) We ordered entrees and a bowl of soup. We arrived at 7:10, and the soup didn't arrive at our table for at least an hour. Then the waitress brought salads, which none of us were aware came with our meal, and for which there was no opportunity to select a dressing. The entrees were OK - nothing great. The pasta had a lot of water on it and the grilled vegetables were sparse and without flavor. The entire meal really lacked, and the dessert selections were not inspiring. Cheesecake and a couple of others. We ordered coffee because it was always delicious, but no, it wasn't anything great either. I don't know what's going on, but this used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but no longer. Dinner lasted over 2 hours without appetizers or dessert. We had made the reservations and took some long time friends of ours who had never been there - we ended up being very embarrassed by the service and food. Maybe the place was sold or the owner is on an extended vacation? Maybe lunch - but not dinner.

Excellent local eat! If you're on the road looking for a non-chain local/organic/fair trade restaurant, you won't be disappointed with this place. We arrived at 9:45 to find that this place doesn't open until 10:30. We decided to window shop at the surrounding shops downtown to burn the 45 minutes; a nice way to stretch the legs. We ordered their Panini special with smoked bacon, goat cheese, and baked apples on focaccia. Delish. Drinks and tips included, it came to $28. The atmosphere was welcoming chic, and relaxing. We especially liked the antique table-tops and hometown brew on tap. Service was friendly and quick.

This really is the best restaurant food in Lewisburg. I tend to be a snot about restaurants, so I generally avoid them, but I can eat at Stardust without too much kvetching. (It helps that I know the management, so I can take all my criticism right to the top. And they listen, which is nice. I just got them to change the chips they serve with their sandwiches, a major improvement, I think. This is a small town place, and they like to please their customers, so don't hesitate to offer your suggestions.) Things I like: Avocado melt, local beef burger, sticky toffee pudding. I appreciate all the effort they put into sustainable and local sourcing. They just switched to organic chicken, so now I can order the curried chicken, which is famous all around the south.

Awesome staff and awesome food. I was really impressed to find a place like this in that area of WV. Curried chicken was really good. I really want to know how they get it so tender and moist! It's a bit pricey but definitely worth it.

When my grandmother said "hole in the wall" I pictured a rat-infested diner. Rats do live in holes in walls. She should have said "amazing local cuisine with an emphasis on fresh seasonal produce, served in a tiny but well-kept building". Located in the adorable town of Lewisburg, this is definitely a place worth stopping. The menu is short but sweet. Appetizers, soups, salads, and entrees only take up a page, while the other page is dedicated to the quirky history of its owner, Destiny. And yet, the combinations of items had me more excited than an excessively long menu that really offers the same chicken 500 times. I had a salad with a silly name ("trust me" or "show me" or something along those lines) and an interesting combination (granola, seeds, cranberries, avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion) but it was exactly what I would have asked for had I known it existed before this moment. The rest of my table tried the two warm rice salads (one curried, one with bacon) and finished every last morsel, and the swordfish (another big hit). After all that scrumptiousness we were about to head out when the waitress brought over the tempting dessert tray. How could we look at those offerings and say no? Hazelnut torte, coconut cake (moist like tres leches), a cappacino and mocha java later, I think we were all about to explode. Honestly, this place is perfect for a dessert and coffee break in the morning or mid-afternoon, or a lunch or dinner - but pace yourselves please! Diabetes doesn't take prisoners!

Stardust Cafe lost a star this time but only because of service. Without a lovely woman sitting tableside with me and romantic music and ambience surrounding us, I cannot give a 5-star rating to any restaurant that takes 2 hours to complete the experience. It just doesn't work for me. Food? This was my second go-round at Stardust Cafe as I'm brought into the area on a project known at the Greenbrier Classic (PGA TOUR). The team eats at Stardust Cafe one night during our stay. Food? Oh yeah. This time I enjoyed the Curried Chicken and rice. Yeah! And YAY! The entire meal consisting of roasted chicken breast, brown rice and veggies, all complimented by a drizzle sauce and not an overpowering currie conconction was delightful. Gazing 'round the table there were cheers for the special which happened to be a chicken & blueberry salad main course. Others ordered the Stardust Cafe burger (eh...) and a few had the peach soup. I didn't hear cheers for the last but the bowls were emptied post-haste. 4-stars isn't dissing on Stardust Cafe. And let me acknowledge the fact the Lewisburg area was without power for 5 days because of a huge storm .... perhaps their staff or their kitchen was under duress. The food..... IT'S TO DIE FOR.... so GO GO GO there.

Really was looking forward to trying this place out. Last time we were in town was during the Greenbrier Classic while moving our son into the "O" school. We couldn't get in so this past weekend I made reservations as soon as we knew we were coming back to town. Everyone was great! Our waitress was Sparrow and she was very informative! Food, taste and presentation were perfect for this foodie! Our meal here on Friday night was much more unique than we had on Saturday at The Greenbrier. I'm always looking for something special and different...so I hit a home run with the Eggplant Curry. The restaurant is not that big so reservations are a must. Price is in line for quality. You won't be sorry!

Charming little place with solid food. We were in town for a wedding , but found we had less time than we originally anticipated for dinner, we informed our waitress and she suggested items that had shorter prep times, but warned us that with one chef we were in a que so it would be what it would be in terms of time. The result could best be described as a rushed Southern pace, so don't go if you are on a tight schedule, also have a reservation (we did). I had the pesto pasta which surprisingly came with a red sauce with the pesto on top. The red sauce did not overwhelm the pesto, just gave it an enjoyable twist. We all wished we would have had more time to linger and enjoy the charm and the attitude of the place, but alas a wedding is a wedding.

Lunch and evening dessert in the same day! Good service and good food. Lunch was Curry chicken sandwich and fish (Ahi tuna) tacos. Dessert was extreme Brownie and chocolate cake with toffee sauce. Atmosphere is unique I Highly recommend.

Fabulous sandwiches, delicious quiche. Fresh, local ingredients and friendly service. Perfect place for a relaxed lunch. Chai tea latte too sweet, though.

Lunch and dinner spot, nice ingredients and tasty, with some nonstandard and creative meals (chicken curry tacos) that sound awful but which are actually good. Nice cakes for dessert. Generous pours of a good wine collection.

I ate a bowl of soup and a plate of salad, then I found out that the soup was $8, and the salad was actually $12. This is not a restaurant that I pay $20 only for starter.

This place is AWESOME! We stopped in for dessert and coffee. The atmosphere is trendy and laid back. Lots of people just "hanging out" drinking wine and coffee. The hot Sticky Toffee Pudding is amazing!

The best and probably only crunchy granola restaurant in Lewisburg and it's on the top of my return to list for the area. I also had the "trust me" or whatever it's called salad, and it was mighty fine. We didn't have time to order desert, but it looked really good. Emphasis on fresh local ingredients.

Hands-down best bet for good food, atmosphere, and service in Lewisburg. Don't forget to try the sticky toffee pudding! (The only thing that comes close is the lunchtime sandwiches at Greenbrier Valley Baking Company, and that depends on the day.)

We have been to this restaurant twice now. Our kids go to camp for two weeks in Minehaha Springs and we always drive in the night before. This trip we got to Stardust and the business was booming. The owner took our cell number and called us when the table was ready, 30 minutes later. We walked around the beautiful and quaint downtown. I had the roasted pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My wife had the seared tuna. Both dishes were very delicious and artfully presented. Our server was wonderful, attentive but not intrusive. We also had desserts--warm sticky toffee and coconut cake. Yum!! Definitely try this place if you are in the area.

Great food, great service. It's worthwhile to eat here rather than the Greenbrier.

Great place to dine. Suggest dinner reservations for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Close to the nearby Greenbrier Resort which offers shuttle service to and from downtown Lewisburg from the resort.

Food and flavors were UNFORGETTABLE, but unfortunately the service was pretty rotten. Maybe she knew we were from out of town and we wouldn't be returning. Bad start: No one made eye contact or spoke to us for several minutes. In a little place like that, that's pretty awkward. Our server treated us like we were at the kids table and everyone else was their "real" customers. It was hard to get over. We kept hoping it would get better, but she was pretty apathetic and slow. The food was so amazing it managed to punch through all of our woes. Kudos to the chef!

We were on our way back home and just happened upon this delightful cafe. We could smell something delicious as we came around the corner and followed our nose. This quaint cafe with a focus on homemade Italian food is well worth the trip. We started with homemade ricotta served over toasted bread, walnuts and apricots. I wanted to lick the bowl!!! Since it was a cold evening I opted for a bowl of potato soup, my husband had a burger which was one of the juiciest I have ever seen and we finished our meal with a delightful fig cake served with a warm caramel sauce made by a local bakery. The cafe believes in being kind to the environment and uses cloth napkins, buys local ingredients, and makes their own cleaning products. I look forward to the day we pass through Lewisburg, WV so we can try something else on their creative menu, such as Italian Cream Sodas. The staff were warm, friendly and the chef was available to talk with as the "kitchen" is in plain sight.

I go to Stardust every time I'm in Lewisburg. In a town full of fun things to do, this cafe stands out. Cafe doesn't quite capture it, because the chefs are displaying amazing culinary skill with fresh, local food. From fine dining to a casual, stylish place to sit and watch the world outside the windows, Stardust has it all. One warning though: you won't be able to resist dessert. Mile-high cake was my delicious downfall...

I ate at Stardust Cafe the night before my medical school interview at WVSOM. Being from a large city, I did not have high expectations for the local restaurants. Boy was I wrong. Stardust Cafe was above and beyond any neighborhood eateries I had been to back home. It combines the big city amenities with a small town feel. The food was terrific and the service even better. But what really sold the place was the ambiance. I really cannot find words to describe it besides the fact that I felt completely at peace while I ate there. The decor was chique, there was soft lighting and light music. I never felt rushed. Being a bit nervous for my interview, I got the perfect relaxing dinner I needed to keep my nerves in check. Highly recommended for out-of-towners - you will feel right at home.

Had dinner at the Stardust, and the experience was "out of this world", or in stardust terms, "heavenly". The freshness of the food, the service, and the warm and friendly atmosphere made this night out very special. I highly recommend.

An unexpected treat, with a creative, fresh and delicious menu! The staff is charming, the food amazing, and saving the best for last, the desserts are out of this world. Try the sticky toffee pudding, you won't be sorry. It doesn't look flashy, but it is the best!

The menu is amazing, I am in West Virginia on work and did not expect such a great farm to table and local organic meat options. The music, ambiance and service were all lovely. I ordered the naked burger and it was delicious. My friends got salads and said they were the perfect balance of fresh, tasty and healthy fats.

Great atmosphere but I don't get it. The free bread was great (comes with balsamic and olive oil). We got an appetizer which was the same as the free bread only with roasted red peppers and goat cheese (hard to screw that dish up). They don't have a kids menu but the waitress asked the chef to make our 3 year old a grilled cheese. That was the best of the 3 entrees we got (I'm not being facetious...it was a really good grilled cheese). The good ended right after the decent side salads. My ribeye looked good. It was a perfect medium rare. It came with a side of horseradish sauce which I thought was odd. Once I tasted my beautifully cooked steak I understood why it was there. My steak was poorly seasoned and the meat itself lacked flavor. There is no salt or pepper on the tables so you are relegated to the sauce. The greens on the plate were good and the mashed potatoes were meh. I've had much better rib eyes from Walmart. My wife's Sicilian pasta was much the same story. Sausage was seasoned, unlike my steak, but incredibly dry. My wife made the comment that we make better food at home for 1/3 the cost of this meal. I agreed. Basil was present on every dish we had except the salads so you better like basil. Luckily we do. Service was good but the waitress certainly did not exude hospitality. We won't return to this one.

Great little trendy restaurant in the middle of no where (Lewisburg WV). I was at a meeting at the Greenbrier and went nearby to see the local environs. They do the farm to table support of local agriculture and focus on fresh ingredients and evolving menu. Very friendly staff and small place so be prepared to wait for a table. We had burgers and chips. Great food and great service at reasonable prices. I would gladly go back - if I am this far off the grid! :-)

Lunch stop not far from 64. So glad we dropped in! Ordered "trust me" salad, which was AMAZING. Turkey sandwich was also delicious. Neat little gem of a place- will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Amazing local/seasonal menu with lots of gluten-free options! This is our go-to restaurant when visiting Lewisburg. The zucchini noodle pasta is awesome as well as the chicken! I would recommend making a reservation as it is a small dining room and a popular spot!

A gem of an eatery ! The ambiance is wonderful. Their chef is awesome . I ordered their chicken curry and was very satisfied. The service is extraordinary. Although we did not have reservations , they seated us at the bar in their comfortable seating. Call ahead and leave your Am Express behind:).

I don't know how many times my girlfriends and I ate here for lunch but i can tell you they never disappoint! My all time favorite thing to order here is the trust me salad and if you add chicken and roasted peppers it makes it even more amazing!! The best place for lunch in Lewisburg!

Came in around 2:00pm and the place was packed. There were two seats left at the bar so my companion and I sat there. An added bonus was the friendly local also at the bar who was enthusiastic about the food. I ordered the Naked Burger. Rebecca, our waitress provided excellent and precise guidance on a small change I wanted to make to my order. (She is world class, ask for her). It was cool to watch Eric, the chef, masterfully cook and plate the food. The burger came out, artfully arranged. And wonder of wonders, it was cooked to medium temperature, exactly as I had ordered it. The food was delightful, as was the staff. Everything was perfect.

I don't go out to eat much because I'm trying to save money, but once in a while, it happens. (The unfortunate alternative is being a complete hermit and a general downer to my friends.) If you're into healthier food options, this is definitely a good place to be. I came here with three of my friends for dinner after lab one day and ordered a Trust Me salad (avocado, feta, tomato, sweet red onion, The Crazy Baker Granola & our secret dressing). It was amazing, and I usually don't even like feta. :O Our server was very friendly and all in all, the food was delicious. The only reason as to why it's not 5 stars is really just that I find it rather over-priced. :[ $14 is pretty steep for a salad. That said, however, this would probably be one of my favorite places to go to if I felt like treating myself to something nice, because everything else on the menu looks amazing. :o

Food was delicious. Great locally sourced food wine and craft beer. Cafe was so comfy and homey I could have stayed all day. But the most memorable is the handwritten letter to patrons on page one. Nice touch.

A pleasant surprise on a long road trip both the food and service were excellent and we enjoyed the small cafe environment. It is so nice to find a place without TV's blaring in the background where you can just concentrate on your company and enjoy good food and drink

Always a good choice when picking up the kids from Camp Twin Creeks. We've never been disappointed in the food, service or ambiance. Tonight we're having a nice rose cava. The balsamic served with their sesame seeded bread is delectable! Love this place!
