Delicious food! Everything on the menu sounded wonderful. Service was very good. Atmosphere was lovely. I enjoyed a house salad and a salmon dish.

We went here for mothers day. The food was good, but was overpriced. The roasted chicken was blah, nothing special. You could get better chicken at Texas Roadhouse. The green beans were lame. Just getting a tiny salad with gross dressing and a tiny soup was $13. Would not recommend.

BLUF: Fancy restaurant in nice area of town. Good menu, good drink menu. Good overall in all areas. I went with my grandma, sister and aunt and uncle. It has been several years since I have been in Huntington. It was good to see fancier places thriving. The place was hip and modern but with the older Huntington crowd; no college kids (at least when we were there). We got a bottle of wine which was really nice. I got the burger and it was pretty good but over cooked from my request of medium rare. It was still good. Came with bacon and a cheese that i forget but not your standard cheeses (subtle taste). It was a good burger. Everyone got something different but the only thing I tasted was my sis' truffle linguini. It was good and not over powering. Solid. No one had room for desert. I have mixed feelings about the service. The guy was very nice but it seemed like everything took much longer than it should have. I was with family so it was nice to be left alone to talk but I could see it being annoying if you werent trying to stay for a long time. Drinks were full, problems solved; just took a long time to get everything. Good solid place. I'd go back and try something else and most likely be very happy.

This was my first time in West Virginia and I wasn't sure what to expect from a French bistro here. My co-worker and I really enjoyed our lunch there. She got the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato basil soup and I had their famous French Dip sandwich. Ambiance, service and food were all 5-star.

I always wanted to go to this restaurant. Finally I did, after my graduation! Great service, very friendly and professional staff and yummy food. Some items in the menu are small, but they are delicious. You should visit their small section downstairs.

Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The French onion soup and Shrimp and Grits were both really good. One of the best places we have eaten in Huntington.

Fantastic food at Le Bistro's new addition--Cellar Door Tapas--their basement tapas restaurant to open soon. I went to the pre-opening event & the chicken curry, ribs, spicy meatballs, Spanish style ham, cheese, and olives was awesome. The wine was a select Cabernet. The ambience decor is regal yet soothing in a turquoise wall, comfortable chairs, elegant bar and chandeliers. I cannot wait to return!

Don't know how this landed in Huntington - but glad it did. Wife and I went for the first time on Friday 2/13 I made reservations through their online system. Let me start by saying the reason it didn't receive that 5th star was because they didn't tell us via email, phone or text that the menu for the weekend was a fixed menu and everyone would be charged $75 per meal. That kind of information is important to your (potential) patrons. We agreed to the meal after being seated - and am glad we did. It's a beautiful restaurant inside. Classy with a modern flair, without being pretentious. All 5 courses were outstanding. The memorable among the courses between my wife and I were: appetizers chicken florentine sweet potato slices Soup tomato bisque (WOW) entree pork osso bucco with gouda grits Service was outstanding with each course well timed if not just slightly rushed. Definitely on the high side of what we'd pay for such a meal. $250 with drinks, tax and tip. This kind of food, service and establishment would go very well anywhere - I just hope Huntington will support this price point!

This is one of the best places to eat in Huntington. Try the Shrimp and Grits for Lunch. In a state where most fine dining is the Outback Steak House or Longhorn, Le Bistro is a breath of fresh air. I love it.

Dropped in for a quick lunch. Being the city Girl I was skeptical. Had their pecan chicken salad. Tres-magnifique! Great little spot in this college town. Stays on rotation!

If the tomato basil soup wasn't so good it would have received one star. Save your money and go somewhere else. My husband ordered the pork meal and the meat was very under seasoned and the coleslaw wasn't eatable. I ordered the Mahi Mahi and was under seasoned and extremely over cooked and the seaweed salad tasted like it came from a can. Our drinks never stayed full and of course they didn't care that we wasn't pleased with the food. So please for the money you could do so much better avoid this place!

Ambience. Nice and quiet. Could be romantic Had the pear ginger martini-very good. Really tasted like pear The fried paella cakes were a bit overcooked. The avocado crema was light and tasty The pumpkin seed crusted salmon was the best ever had. Should keep that on the menu year round Wait staff did a good job

This is my favorite place for lunch fare, although I can only eat here when I have a clear afternoon schedule, because the food is rich and I invariably suffer from a food coma afterward. Very reasonable lunch prices, considering the quality of the food and also relative to dinner pricing. The croque monsieur is delicious, though I don't think the sandwich traditionally comes slathered in a cheesy bechamel sauce. I am not complaining, however. Decor is beautiful, and the waitstaff are always friendly. Lunch service can be a little slow at times, so I typically ask for the bill as soon as the food arrives to speed things along.

Phenomenal food in the Tri-State area. Anytime I visit my home in Ashland, KY, I'm always so frustrated with the lack of good food in the area, but Le Bistro is a cut above the rest. The rosemary butter and bread was perfectly prepared. We shared a plate of the Arancini Bites--amazing. Rissoto deep fried--new to me and loved it. I had the Onion soup to begin--excellent preparation. Not too strong, excellent onion flavor, and the cheese was perfectly melted. Honestly, I could have eaten the Arancini bites, the soup and bread all evening and would have been just as happy. The braised short ribs were by far the best plate ordered--tender, delicious. The ancho-blueberry sauce was impressive in its creativity and mixed with the asiago grits, it was a great combination. The pork chop was tender, but way too thick of a cut and ended up a little dry to compensate cooking time. The leek/bacon/fennel/cabbage sautee complimented it well. The mashed potatoes were good, nothing groundbreaking. I'd recommend the Short Ribs of the two. Three people with a starter, all with wine, and three plates will run around $130-145. Pricey for Huntington, and you could get a much better meal of the same cuisine in a bigger city for about the same price. The service was prompt, very friendly, and very professional. Heather I believe was her name brought more bread without prompt, and timed the dishes well. Zero complaints with the service of the bistro. We had two problems though: 1) The one common problem between both the dishes was an excess of olive oil use--everything was a little too saturated with olive oil making the dishes very heavy and hard to finish. Please use just a third of the olive oil and you'll have much more balanced dishes! 2) The wine list was a joke. Several $12 bottles of wine that they were charging $9 a glass--e.g. Chasing Lions Cab ( amazon.com/2012-Chasing-… )--I suppose they assume Huntington, WV crowds won't figure this out. Bring your own $12 bottle and have it corked there--and share with the table. (If they don't allow corkings, then they aren't doing the French bistro right). All together, I'll be back to Le Bistro when we need a great restuarant in town, and for me, it makes me so happy to such a great quality, and impressive venture into Franco-American cusisine in a place like the Tri-State area. Elsewhere this would be a 4/5, but for Huntington it's a solid 5/5 you can NOT go wrong.

Oh. My. Word. Spectacular food. Spectacular service. My fiancé proposed here a couple of months ago, and not only was the food amazing, but the wait staff made the experience unforgettable. They helped him set up the table with roses and wine, and even played music perfectly timed for when I walked through the door (I didn't know he was there!). They offered us a complementary bottle of champagne to celebrate and we also had a bottle of Pinot noir (it was one of the best I've had). We started out with escargots (it was already out of the shell so I didn't have to have a Pretty Woman moment.. Thanks guys!) He had a spicy shrimp dish and I had a portobello mushroom on puff pastry with risotto and tomatoes (mine was better than his). And THANK YOU Le Bistro for making the creme brûlée the right way! They torched it right before it came out so it had that hot and cold effect.. I hate when it's pre-torched and everything is cold. So.. Amazing food. Amazing service. Best night I've had in a long time :)

We have been to Le Bistro multiple times and have never had a bad experience. The food is absolutely wonderful. We love sitting at the bar over-looking the kitchen so we can watch all of the food being prepared.

I live in Florida and West Virginia. Hands down this has been one of the better restaurants I've ate at in West Virginia, reminds me of some of the places in FL. My friend had the salmon,She really enjoyed it. I had the cajun pasta which was recommended by the waiter and it was really good.

We were here for a marathon at Marshall univ. we were a group of 5 and the place was right across from our hotel. The waitress was lovely and very helpful. I had the salmon with delicious grits. Fabulous. We were carbo loading so ate whatever we wanted. The BBQ dish looked interesting. Also the mahi. No one left anything on their plates so it was success! Cute place! Delicious food

Great restaurant! The food is executed very well. I'm only giving four stars because my most recent entree -- the coconut crusted chicken -- was just okay. I wouldn't order it again because it lacked flavor. However, the roasted veggies and jerk spiced sweet potatoes were great! The wine selection is also very good. I'll definitely be back.

Absolutely incredible. Beautiful ambience. Perfect level of service. Small enough menu to know that the attention is paid to each dish. But enough variety to make it very interesting. Delicious dishes. We had the filet, braised pork & the mahi mahi. Great beer & wine choices.

My wife and I recently had a date night dinner here--we loved it. The staff were friendly, helpful, and took great care of us. The food was excellent--I had the crab cake appetizer and the braised osso buco for dinner. Both were fantastic! We had a very good shiraz with our meal. The beautiful paintings (all by regional artists and for sale) added to an already sophisticated, hip atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Eaten here for lunch a few times. Food has been really good. I had the meatball sandwich for lunch recently and really enjoyed it. Pretty reasonably priced for lunch. Expect around $10 with a water.

We had enjoyed such spectacular food in the evening that we decided to try them for lunch. Equally good. I am amazed at the care their kitchen lavishes on food, and the overall quality of ingredients. These are food professionals, and you really should treat yourself. I might add that while pricey in the evening (On the principle that good ain't cheap and cheap ain't good), they are very affordable for lunch, an excellent value.

I have wanted to try this place and critique it since food is a passion and a hobby of mine. I went this evening and walked by the place and looked at the menu that was posted on the glass. A very nice young man came to the door and invited me in after I asked if they served prime rib. As I walked in, I was greeted with this wonderful aroma coming from the kitchen that was very pleasing. My server was Chris who was very informative and suggested the Steak Frites which was a 20oz ribeye that I ordered medium. The thin sliced fresh bread was wonderful as well as the garlic butter! When the steak came, it was cooked SPOT ON! Perfectly seasoned, and properly rested. A totally great experience all around. If I could award this place a 5 star rating, I would give it. The prices are worth every penny of what you get. The atmosphere is great. A perfect place to share with that special someone in your life or to propose at.
