The best pizza in the tri-state area. I daydream about their Mt. Vesuvius pizza at least once a week. The interior is cozy and aesthetically pleasing, definitely a nice date venue.

Growing up in an Italian family, I have really high standards when going to an Italian place. That being said, I LOVE this place! I always get the margarita pizza which is made to perfection. The pasta is wonderful and the noodles are so fresh. If looking for a nice dinner in Huntington, I recommend this place. It's nice to eat at a place that isn't a chain restaurant. The atmosphere is great.

Very delicious sauce! I posted pics of our order. My only disappointment was that I wasn't able to order the Lasagna I read about on here, it's currently only served on Saturdays. The house cabernet was very nice and smooth.

More people should be made aware of this place. Excellent pizza. I would dare say that it was much better than even Backyard.

Plastic plates, plastic cups, paper napkins, cheap eating utensils, hard uncomfotrable seating. Mediocre food. Pizzeria masquerding as fine dining.

This place was amazing. Hours are odd and we ha to wait for them to open after a terrible overtime loss to western Kentucky to ruin Marshall's perfect season but this almost made up for it. The pasta was amazing kids loved it wife loved it and so did I. (And I am italian and hard to please). The sausage appetizer was amazing

Excellent food and service. Though it's a little pricey, I imagine the ingredients they're using are higher quality. I've been following the restaurant for some time on Facebook and drooling at their posts so I talked my significant otter into making the drive for dinner. They're located in a nice home and have al fresco dining in front. We opted for a seat inside where it was cooler. Our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the caprese salad and the pizza special of the day to split. It was just enough food - we finished everything without that ready-to-pop feeling - and came to around $40, before tip. The caprese salad contained a stack of basil leaves, tomato slices and La Famiglia's homemade mozzarella. The latter had a very nice flavor and was creamy. Around the stack was a mix of diced tomato, onion and garlic along with a couple of bread slices. Everything was very fresh. Our pizza consisted of broccolini, pepato cheese, sausage and pepperoni (no tomato sauce - yay!). The flavors mixed beautifully and again the ingredients tasted very fresh and homemade (rather than genetically modified, I suppose). La Famiglia is worth a visit, if you live in Huntington or even an hour away.

Setting is great. Awesome Pepperoni Rolls. Pasta was cooked well and the marinara gravy was very traditional. Pizzas are very good.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
