Food is always delicious. Veges are crisp, food is served hot, and beer is ice cold. Win-win-win for us. Love this place.

Pool tables, wifi, bar, hot college women, huge table space, and great food it almost makes wanna go back and waste another few years in school. I got burrito Cali and my date got chicken fajita nachos, both were great. 32 oz dos xx lager was awesome.

Having spent a fair amount of time in Mexico I am picky about my Mexican food. Most places are tex-mex but this place does it right. I'm there two to three times a month. The food is always delicious, service is fast and friendly and portions are generous. One of my favorites is the civeche but I have yet to have anything I didn't like.

I really love this place, they have a great menu and are willing to make just about any changes to the order you can dream of. Unfortunately I will only go to this one as opposed to the one in 20th St because I can't stop thinking about the guy who was shot there.

For a hole in the wall, this place has a couple unique traits: 1) the guacamole is very chunky. I love the change of texture for once. All the solid ingredients in it are chunky - the avocado, onions and tomatoes. It allows you to practically isolate the tastes to an extent 2) the vegetarian chimichanga is very good. Mine was fried just right without the typical overcooking. The veggies in it seemed legit as well. Despite the guess that this was likely an old Wendy's, I really enjoyed the experience as the wait staff checked on me quite often and seemed to care for all the peeps eating here.

The best guacamole in the universe is in this dining establishment. Great food and the people are ALWAYS nice. Quick service and may I add once more.....great food!

Fantastic better-than-the-rest authentic Mexican cuisine. You can get the 'regular' stuff you're used to seeing at run of the mill Mexican restaurants but Ranchito's menu just steps it up. I recommend the simple but great al pastor tacos or the giant bowl of caldo de pollo, add avocado.

I've only been here once on my way to a meeting in Huntington, so a word of warning that my review may not be completely representative. I went there for lunch on a hot, summer day and was greeted by nice burst of cold air when I walked it. Not too bad.. but I began to freeze in a matter of minute... I think you could have hung meet in there and it would have met the health code for temperature! I went to the restroom (I wouldn't recommend this if you don't really have to go) and it felt like the kitchen was 90 degrees. It was clear the thermostat was probably in the kitchen and the AC just kept running in the restaurant area and not doing much for the kitchen. Now onto the food side... chips and salsa... good... chimichanga (without peppers and onions)... amazing. I just ate it quick to prevent from catching pneumonia. Service was OK. Prices are good. I'd prefer to get my order to-go next time :-)

By far the best Mexican food around here! Love the chorizo and salsa. Also the drive thru window is super handy when I'm feeling antisocial and just want some take out and a movie.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
