Love their new location! Great atmosphere and outdoor seating! They have dos equis on tap, and get the Gold margaritas.

Nothing special, place looks run down and dirty. Food is mediocre. Chips and salsa to go are tasty but over priced. They have moved recently to a new building. Haven't been there yet. Co worker has went and she said, they have a new building but, put in all their old tables, seats etc from the old place. Thought that was kinda funny, nice clean new place and take several year old tables and probably utensils and all over. I am sure it isn't any better than before.

The food was over priced. The quality of the food was awful. Everything was overcooked. The restaurant was dirty. There was not allot of customers when we were there and we still had to wait too long for food that we could barely eat. We will not be going here again.

I have to say that I was disappointed. This was the blandest Mexican food I have ever had. Period. While the tamale was huge, there was no flavor. It was like eating cornmeal, that was the flavor. Similarly both the refrained beans and rice were also utterly flavorless. Nothing I tried had any spice, no chili flavor, nothing that said "authentic Mexican". The chip and salsa they provide was pretty tasty, and they have a pretty good selection, so 3 stars.

Alright, I'm from Texas and eat Tex-Mex/Mexican about 2-3 times per week. This place has great food and I'll put them up against any restaurant here in Texas. I prefer the deluxe chicken burrito while subbing white queso to top it. I love the preparation. They put shredded lettuce and freshly sliced tomatoes on top. The cheese dip (we call queso blanco) is delicious. You'll love this place...and you'll love margarita Saturday!

Pleasantly surprised! I wasn't sure what to expect from a Mexican restaurant in a mall in a small WV town but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Oddly, the vegetarian fajitas are served on top of queso but it worked! The refried beans were tasty, the guacamole was acceptable (not great but not bad either) and the portions were BIG. Servers are attentive but unobtrusive and the prices are very fair. Definitely worth another trip in the future!

I have nothing bad to say about my experience at Mi Pueblo. This is flavorful, authentic Mexican cuisine at affordable prices and in huge portions. They give you bottomless, homemade corn tortilla chips and salsa with your meal, which could satisfy you alone. I ordered the dinner portion of chicken fajitas, which was 11.50 and enough food for 3 people. I actually can't wait to have it for dinner tomorrow! The chicken came with onions, peppers and roasted tomatoes in a fajita skillet, all marinated in a delicious mesquite and Mexican spiced marinade. The fixins were aplenty as well! A huge plate of rice, beans, cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream accompanied the meal. This was literally the best Mexican rice I've ever had. (Even IN Mexico!) The staff is extremely attentive and friendly, and the decor is kitschy-Mexican themed which could be seen as tacky by some, but charming by me. I will definitely be back! Maybe even tomorrow...

Come here for a tasty, filling Mexican meal, but not a dining experience. Located in a mall, tacky Mexican decor. Food is tasty, portions are big, there's good variety in the menu. Relax and enjoy.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the USA. Truly, I go there everytime I visit Fairmont. Their chicken dishes are the best!

Mi Pueblo Located in the old Middletown Mall of Fairmont (Whitehall actually), Mi Pueblo provides simple Mexican cuisine with a laid back atmosphere and good prices. This is a favorite for many people in the area. Last dined: Spring 2008. 1) Food - 4 stars. Mi Pueblo is a simple Mexican restaurant with all the dishes you'd expect like burritos, enchiladas, tamales, etc. Of course, the majority of the dishes consist of seasoned meat, sauce and white cheese wrapped in a tortilla with rice and refried beans on the side, but this is good, simple food, and a lot of it. The complimentary salsa and chips are always a treat, especially when paired with the white cheese. We'd suggest the Mexico or the Burrito Deluxe. Oh, and did I mention margaritas and Corona? 2) Service - Friendly! Another 4 stars. The staff is always happy to see you and sincerely want to make your dining experience fun. Generally, you can expect good service for drink refills, quick turnaround from the kitchen and getting the bill. 3) Atmosphere - Well, at least it's charming; 2 stars. Mi Pueblo is located in the center of an old mall that has seen better days. The interior of the restaurant is generally clean and spacious, but the art and dcor on the walls is half finished. The booths, tables and chairs are dated and worn. Mi Pueblo seems to know the food keeps people coming back, so other than the new flat screen TV, they don't seem to see the value in investing in the look of the restaurant. 4) Price - A solid 5 stars. Simple food at a great price. Lunch specials and dinner entrees/combos fill you up without emptying your wallet. 5) Additional Comments - The mall parking lot resembles the dark side of the moon so feel free to park in any direction you can manage.

I just wanted something simple and not over the top. I ordered nachos with chicken and had them add lettuce. Delicious!! It was cheap and the portion was huge. It was supposed to be an appetizer and I used it as my meal. Yummy. I got a side order of refried beans and they too were yummy. I got mine as take-out and I wasn't disappointed at all. The staff was friendly and the prices were right!

I have not been to Mi Pueblo since my wife designed their online order web page in 2004. I am pleased to say, the place has not changed much! Great food at a great price. Definitely a must if you are in Fairmont. The mall it is at is pretty dead, but the restaurant is great.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in West Virginia. Very reasonably priced with friendly attentive service and a fun atmosphere. One drawback is that the bathrooms are on the small side and a bit untidy. Otherwise one of my favorite restaurants in Fairmont.

Well, I got to eat at the new Mi Pueblo Downtown and it was just as good as the Middletown mall location. The lunch was very affordable, and very good food. I was very impressed how fast and friendly the service staff was at such a busy time. Good job.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
