Under new ownership after the previous owners retired. The food used to be very good, but just short of great, the downside was the place was absolutely disgusting and they tended to burn noodles and veggies a bit. I ordered today for the first time with new ownership and it was absolutely amazing, food was cooked using what seems to be the same recipes but with more care. Random pieces of char on veggies and noodles were gone leaving a VERY good flavor. I liked them before, and I REALLY like them now

Lo mein is very good. Fried rice was full of almost raw onion...yuck! Grill 'em first not last if you feel the need to put them in! Also they use the really small rice... I like mine made with big white rice. Hot and Sour soup was so vinegary we couldn't eat it. But the food was made fresh to order, which is always the best. As we live across the street, I'm sure we'll be back.

we walked in there and placed an order for like 8 people and ended up with enough food for 20 people, my brother said it was the best egg fu yung that he has had in 10 years......the egg rolls were huge and stuffed full of stuff and yummy all the way around....if you are in Clarksburg it is a definitely a must try

We wondered what it meant that half the staff was peering out the window as we drove up, then quickly scattered as we neared the entrance. We were the only ones dining in on a slow evening after Christmas. I will say the staff was very very friendly and the place was very clean. Service was fairly quick. My brother-in-law commented that you could judge a Chinese restaurant by their moo shu dishes. Unfortunately he announced this one was in the running for one of the worst. Our moo shu vegetable was heavy on cabbage, with little other veggies that we could tell. Happy Garden must love its cabbage as our spring rolls--which to their credit were quite substantial--were bursting with it, and not much else. I strongly suggest avoiding the cashew chicken...not only was it bland, it was very fatty with a gel-like substance in it. (We even decided against bringing it home to our dad, who likes practically everything.) The broccoli in garlic sauce with added tofu was the best of the bunch with the most flavor and a slightly spicy finish. My sisters remember coming here over 10 years ago, and we saw a steady stream of customers picking up take-out, so they must be doing something right to still be around. Next time we are visiting the folks in C-burg though, we will probably try one of the few other Chinese restaurants in town.

No frills, cooked to order inexpensive Chinese food. Ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce lunch combo for $5.65. Very generous portion that comes with soup, fried rice and the entree. The egg drop soup has a good consistency but was a little bland. The fried rice has a different taste than I am used to and a few pieces of the vegetables (peas, onions and carrots) were "al dente". The shrimp with lobster sauce contained 5 jumbo sized shrimp and the sauce was light, well seasoned and flavorful. I received my shrimp toast appetizer last; this was disappointing. I observed that most people opted for the buffet.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
