Having graduated from Wesleyan and lived in the area, this is one of three spots I make a point of stopping in to eat at when I'm in town. I remember how this place was when it first opened up and it still has that amazing coffee shop atmosphere that makes it an ideal spot for both college kids and locals. The staff is friendly, the tea/coffee is good, and the food is delicious. My go to meal is The Boss (I was too busy eating it to take a picture today, sorry). Standard is grilled chicken, jalapeño peppers, Swiss cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, peanut butter, onions, and a sun dried tomato spread. I get it without tomatoes (big surprise!) and sans peanut butter. I've had it with both and in this case, the taste does not appeal to me. Delicious with the other ingredients on lightly toasted white bread. Soo. Good. I get it with plain chips and eat like the little piggy I am! I really love the blend of flavors you can get with this particular sandwich. I've had the meatball hoagie and the turkey club in the past, both are also delicious. I have a particular addiction to their cranberry & orange scones, though I was a little disappointed that the taste of today's scone wasn't up to par of the past ones. They have delicious, unique cupcakes and other desserts as well. My drink of choice there is the London Fog. It's the first place I've ever had it and I've found no one does it with the same level of perfection as the daily grind. Great little place to meet for lunch or to study. Great coffee house decor with games to play if you want to hang out. Adds a bright spot to Buckhannon, in my humble opinion.

The people here are super nice. This is the only place in town to get any kind if a decent cup of joe. Breakfast was good and really reasonably priced. I ordered a scone and it was not cooked the whole way through but they replaced it with a good one.

I had a late lunch, the Boss sandwich and a blueberry/pomegranate smoothie. They were both good, and the relaxing atmosphere was very nice.

Regular coffee is great, I'll pass on the cappuchino...not so good. This place just feels good on the inside, that atmosphere is very well done!

Great atmosphere and excellent coffee. I had a double espresso here, which was more like a triple or quadruple (big pour), but I'm not complaining. Great place to hang out, check email (free wifi) and catch up with friends. Highly recommended.

This is a great coffee shop. It has a charming atmosphere and free wi-fi, and their drinks are delicious. The staff is friendly and delightful. A must-go place to visit while shopping on Main Street!

I am obsessed with this place. I found it on Yelp before going on a road trip to West Virginia and decided to drive 20 minutes out of the way to try it out. It was AMAZING. I really wish #1 - I could've spent more time there #2 there was one near me #3 that I could go to WV often and #4 that I could've tried more things. They have a huge coffee menu and you can actually invent your own drinks. I wanted to be creative with my drink but I ended up just getting a caramel iced blended coffee to be safe. I can tell you that anything I ordered would've been good. Their desserts looked really good and I ended up getting the pumpkin rolls and then ordered 3 more to bring home with me (and yes, they held up over a 9 hour car ride!!!). They also had kid sized drinks FYI. I like having that option :) haha The atmosphere of the place is soo cute. Couches and tables and friendly decor surrounded me. I really wished I had another day in West Virginia so I could go there again. Highly recommended :)

I have a new favorite sandwich thanks to The Daily Grind: The Boss. And the secret ingredient has been in under my nose for ever: peanut butter. Sure, everyone knows chicken and bacon go together. But who'd think to add peanut butter (except maybe Elvis!)?

The Daily Grind is a wonderful place. I've been a repeat customer for two years now - I hardly go a week without making a stop in for a bite - and it is consistently great food and great coffee in a great atmosphere. Despite ordering a different coffee or fruit drink nearly every time I visit, I have never been disappointed with any of the beverages offered, either hot or cold. The food menu is not enormous - sandwiches, salads, wraps, breakfast offerings, and a soup of the day - but all the items are fresh and have a unique artisanal feel that will make it hard to believe you're in rural West Virginia. I especially recommend The Boss or the tuna melt. And don't forget dessert! As soon as you see the glass case of dessert offerings for the day, your mouth will start to water. These change daily but are all delicious and unique. Last but not least, The Daily Grind has incredible ambiance. It's small and cozy, with fun decor and soft music in the background. If you have some time to spend, it's easy to set up shop with your laptop or iPad to take advantage of the free wifi and sip drinks.

This place is wonderful. It has a wide selection of sandwiches, coffees, and other types of drinks. The great thing about The Daily Grind is that they are creative with their meals and drinks. By creative, I mean that they aren't bound by a strict menu that the customer has to abide by. You can tell them whatever you want on a sandwich, or tell them to create something that you dreamed about last night. The same is true of the drinks. The people who work there are helpful (formerly my fiance) and very nice. For us coffee lovers, this place is perfect. The food is superb and VERY fresh, be it breakfast, salad, soup, or sandwich. The desserts and cakes are honestly so good it'll make you sweat. The different coffee they serve every day is delicious!

I had the vegetable wrap, potato salad and the hot chocolate. They were all pretty good. The atmosphere was pretty chill as well. Will go back next time i'm in town.

I'm not a coffee drinker, but based on the folks going in and out of the joint who seemed very happy and pleased with their various drinks based on coffee beans, it seems they have some quality stuff in that department. No, I pass through Buckhannon every so often on work and pleasure trips, and I'm always on the lookout for cool, quality locally owned joints, so this fit the bill. Our first trip in a few months ago we were too late to get any meal type food, but had some good tea, my daughter had some good juice, and we treated ourselves to some of their wonderful gluten free "monster cookies." (Not telling my daughter they are gluten free, lest my 4 year old female mini-me suspect there was something wrong with them. They were quite good. This time around, today, I had a few hours to kill in Buckhannon in between work assignments, and while it was early, 10am-ish, they were still serving both breakfast and lunch. I opted for the latter. I tried the special on the board, their "Cuban" sandwich, and chose the whole grain bread out of wheat, italian, rye or whole grain. Hold the mayo please. What I got was a yummy sandwich loaded with top quality ham and turnkey, swiss cheese, italian dressing, and three half slices of good kosher pickle spears, with onion on request, and I opted for the red potato salad as my side (out of several choices, home made potato chips, regular potato salard, macaroni salad, etc). The red potato salad was absolutely amazing, almost showing up the sandwhich, which was quite tasty as well. The dessert case again looked amazing, though I resisted. Buckhannon should consider themselves blessed to have this little treasure of a coffee-shop/deli/dessert joint in town. They also apparently offer fruit smoothies too, noted on the sign outside when I was leaving. Lovely covered outside dining as well, and a beautiful and eclectic dining room. Free wifi as well as newspapers and other available reading materials scattered around, all with a friendly smiling staff.

My favorite local coffee spot. They are very cozy and comfortable. They have a huge variety of Hot and Cold coffees, expressos, teas and blended beverages. I enjoy their Mochas with the dark chocolate. They also have a nice breakfast and lunch menu, ranging from Bacon and Egg on a croissant, to turkey wraps. Definitely worth a visit if you are in town and in need of a pick me up.

Order from the counter, for breakfast or lunch. Closes early, and no wine or beer. Sandwich's are good, and the veggies in the omelet are a bit underdone, but definitely a friendly place to go in our small city. You are bound to see someone you know. I strongly recommend is, and it is more like a 4.5 star. jbh

Great atmosphere. Good coffee. Free wi-fi. WV food (which means mediocre. Sweet when you don't expect it. Not as good as the atmosphere makes you think it should be)
