Best wings in Bridgeport! Reasonable prices, and good draft beer.

This place is a secret gem of the Clarksburg area. Tucked away behind a boot store it is a must visit for anyone passing through the area. If I lived here I would come at least once a week. The service is top notch and so is the food. My business associates are big fans of the crab cakes. They rant and race about them on a regular basis. I don't personally enjoy seafood, so I've tried a few other menu items and each time I am very satisfied. My personal favorite is the sausage wrap and any of their desserts. The servers are always friendly and they do an excellent job of tending to your every need. The place is a little small, but this has never been a problem when I visited. The decor is cool and simple with a touch of Mountaineer. I love this place and I always look forward to eating here when I visit Clarksburg. You'd be crazy not to check this place out.

The Mountaineer Grille is next door to possibly one of the greatest accumulation of blue and gold WV goodies. I have visited a few times and every time the restaurant has been very clean and service has been good. The steak sandwich was a pleasant surprise along with well made swordfish. Seating area is not expansive, but this is a gem of a place with a great location. Safe, clean, delicious food. The Last time I visited (Oct 2014), I had to use the "gift shop" doors and walk through the shop to get to the restaurant. It is a great shop (larger than the restaurant!!) so I didn't mind --and actually almost bought two shirts!!!

I hate to write this review because I had at least two good dinners at the Mountaineer Grill but today I had an absolute miserable meal. I love crab cakes and have had hundreds of them, and last year had a top 10 crab cake at Mountaineer grill. Today's experience was terrible. The crab cakes were nothing more than soggy bread with some crab. No flavor, undercooked, and fried. The rest of their menu may be ok but stay away from the crab cakes!!!

Decent atmosphere. Portions are small! Food was okay but the bread on my wife and I sandwiches was very hard. Servers were very friendly. Probably wouldn't go back.

High quality food. Reasonably priced. Conveniently located next to Mountaineer World, the best retailer of WVU apparel in northern WV.

One of the first things I order from a place that I have never been to is a Steak Hoagie, if you can't make a decent steak hoagie, most of your other food is going to be bad, in my opinion. Well I ordered one here, it was horrible, not even a 12 inch hoagie and way too expensive. Place was clean, service was ok.

The is definitely one of our go-tos when we are home to visit family! The restaurant is small so be prepared to wait if you visit on a weekend night. There are several tvs so you can watch whatever games are playing, but unlike other "sports themed" bars, the focus here is not on fried foods (yay!). The menu does offer fried goods (yum zucchini straws) but there are several healthier options, even salads that don't just have a mealy tomato and slice of cucumber! I love their antipasta salad, I typically order without the cheese and meat and they load me up on roasted veggies. Yum! I have tried the curry chicken salad sandwich and wasn't a huge fan but have always loved their soups. The service is typically quick and friendly. They have a decent wine selection as well as beer and liquor. I have never been hungry enough at the end of a meal to try desert, maybe next time that is how we will start the meal!

My wife had the pineapple habenaro chicken, and I had the chicken vesuvius (penne with cream sauce, chicken, artichoke hearts and peppers). Can't recommend the pasta, sauce was very runny, but the habanero barbecue sauce was excellent. Good soup too, house is some type of minestrone. Crab dip for appetizer was passable. Staff was attentive, and they were packed while we were there. Bit overpriced for the quality of the food, but an overall good experience.

I had the Grilled Salmon with Honey Habanero sauce. Very tasty and salmon was done perfect. Nice restaurant that was busy for later dinner. Nice beer selection.

This is a favorite gem to eat at. The food is always good, the staff is friendly and attentive. The dining area is small, but comfortable. I think they have enough business to move into a larger place and do even more business. You should watch for their specials on Facebook and Twitter. The specials always look good! And the zucchini fries are a must-try!

A small but fine place to eat at in Bridgeport. The steaks are tender, juicy, and overall delicious. The menu is not overwhelming, and is decently priced. A personal favorite of mine is the grilled steak salad. One complaint I have is that one cannot order 6 or 12 wings. The menu options include 5 or 10!?! I recommend sitting at the bar, as the service is always prompt and friendly!

I stopped in here on a passing trip to the Meadowbrook Mall on a friend's boss's recommendation. The first thing we noticed was the special board outside included a $23 special steak as well as a $20 fish special. Seeing the prices, we expected some delicious food, even though we only stopped in hoping for a $10-15 dinner. The decor of the restaurant was modern, yet compact. You felt that the bar area coincided with the dining area. Typically, I like it if those areas are separated as a bar area will be moderately louder than the area where people are using more indoor voices and eating. The girl at the door was attentive, polite, happy, and prompt in her job of getting us to our preferred seat. Our waitress was prompt in coming to get our drink order and bringing it back out. She took our food order and we wouldn't see her again until our food was ready leaving myself and a friend with an empty water glass for 5 minutes. I ordered the ribeye steak sandwich with fries ($10). A friend got the same, and our other friend got the curry chicken sandwich ($12). The food was fantastic. However, our drinks ran dry again, but we did not see our waitress until we were finished with our food. The door greeter cleared our table and went to get our waitress for the checks. By the time our checks came, we had seen the hostess 4 times and our waitress 3 times. The food was 4 stars...a great sandwich, but nothing to write home about. The service was barely adequate at 2 stars.

One star for average service and average quality over priced dishes. I have dined here on multiple occasions as my co-workers seem to like the WVU focus apart from the food. If you want a good meal for the money you spend, this establishment will disappoint. Specifically do not order the steak, sausage, and chicken skewer appetizer at $7.99. The portion is barely enough for one person and the quality of meat is substandard as it is with other selections on the menu.

I am not sure where these people ate but we decided to eat here for lunch one day and it was the best palce to eat by for in Clarksburg or Bridgeport. We had the Shrimp app and it was the best!!! Crab cakes I would write home and afar about. My husband had a burgar and no complaints by far! I recommend for you to try for youself. So glad I did not read these before hand by far not the same as stated above!

Was not impressed :( The service was slow (and not very friendly). And, the food was average at best.

I had the chips with blue, real blue cheese that is, and a curry chicken salad pita. Both of these foods were fantastic. My mother had a roasted red pepper soup with chicken who she said was the best soup she has ever had. I am going there again.
